We purchased a chest freezer on the strength of a 7 working day delivery only to be phoned by delivery company and be told it would be 3 weeks delivery as they wait until they have a full load before delivering to a certain area I think this is blatant false advertising on Argos behalf I instantly cancelled our order in this day and age companies can deliver within 2 to 3 days not weeks will not order from Argos again they should not be allowed to advertise a service that they quite clearly cannot deliver on

Reserve service via the telephone is useless, having had the store code rejected 3 times, and then as an advertised clearance item was not available anyhow anywhere, so why does your website promote goods that you know are not available, this is just to lure you in to finding an alternative, well the alternative is PC World or Maplins, Argos, thanks for nothing.

will never make another online purchase with this company , customer service is appalling , ordered a bed inc h/board , had botched delivery because they had an older phone no registered though we gave correct no on the order paperwork . that rapidly became the reason for delivery guys to be stressed , ending in incorrect procedure when signing for delivery , we were not told it was our responsibility to count items , of which one ( headboard was missing . result we were told later that we had signed for 4 items (only had 3 on the day) have been treated like criminals ever since ( no headboard received ) BE WARNEDmike Cox

I didn't see / get a next day delivery option online, I ordered on a Thursday and was told earliest delivery was Wednesday, to me that is incredibly slow for a delivery of a needed kitchen item, I have had things from china delivered faster. I will definitely use another store in future,

Ordered x2 wardrobes in on 11 January. Accepted it would take 4 weeks to deliver as they have to order them in.... 5 days before due delivery date, received a text telling me the delivery was delayed but no real valid reason why. I had to call to re-arrange delivery. I accepted that these things happen and in good faith re-arranged the delivery, being told rather annoyingly that it would be another 4 week wait for the wardrobes. Felt like they were starting to take the mick a little bit now, but i'm not overly desperate for a wardrobe so i re-arranged... More fool me! Delivery was due this Sunday (6th March 2016), i had a text again this morning saying the order was delayed. I phone customer services to be told that i now can't have them until 30th March!!!!! 12 weeks to wait for some wardrobes is ridiculous??? What are you doing Argos? So i have been forced to cancel my order as i would like to eventually have somewhere to hang my clothes. I have now ordered from another place and their wardrobes are being delivered on Thursday (Fingers crossed). I wish i had done this from the beginning. I have given two stars rather than one purely because the customer service people i did speak to were friendly and helped as much as they could. It is not their fault Argos delivery system is a pile of poo.

ordered bookshelf through Argos. delivery men could not deliver as I did not live on the ground floor and they said will send a van with 3 men. I asked for next Saturday. no one delivered until I called myself and they said it "probably" won't be today as there is just 1 van available!!! right I rebook it for the following Saturday. during week I called them and they said yes it will be. Saturday midday came and I called them will it definitely come. and they said you have not rebooked - I said honestly you joking? I cancelled my order as waisted 3 weekends waiting and Argos does not have customer service to call and say your delivery won't come and even not send email. very disappointed

Bought a sofa and a couple of chairs from Argos online. They emailed me a receipt and delivered my stuff. 3 months later I get a brief email, no specific details at all, telling me they only took part of the payment and helped themselves to another £420! I went overdrawn because of it. I advised them that I had their receipts but no, they were keeping the money thàt they took. Try phoning and you get bored and disinterested people, email and you eventually get a brief fact-free reply with no substance and no explanation. Never again!

Bought a steam cleaner, got home opened it to see water inside the tank and other signs it had been used. I returned it to the store wanting a new one. I asked if they could open the box and yet again the item had water in the tank again a 2nd hand item. I asked for amother to be opened and at last no water. Argos SHOULD NOT sell returned items as new. I am very disappointed with this particular store and will not use it again.

This is a little email just to say how disappointed I am with the service. I have bought some items online. I tried to see if went through so I tried the track your order bit but it wasn't working. I sent 2 emails and after 5 hours I had to call Customer Services just to find out that one of the items was out of stock and I would have to wait 7 days for refund. When I try to ask why as it wasn't my fault she start rushing into information. One of my friends start laughing at the situation as I was trying to buy something since yesterday. the person said "If you are laughing I'm just going to cancel your order" and hung up on me. For starters, how can be possible for me have to wait for 7 days for something that is not my fault or just a simple "change of mind" with the buy? the website kept showing availability for 10 minutes before I went through with the buy. So, how can I have to wait for their mistake? and the website still showing that a shop in Angel has the item. How come, a customer care person hang up on a customer? This is totally unacceptable. I don't know if one customer is important to them (as I've written to them), but I'm closing my account today (it is a new one, but I buy things from them in a monthly basis in their stores) and I hope I don't need to use it again for the time being. Please Argos, just be fair with people when it is not their fault and please, don't hang up on customers is very very rude.

Ordered a TV to be delivered online the following day. On the plus side, we got a phone call on Friday evening within a few hours of ordering that the delivery slot chosen was unavailable and that they would confirm when the delivery would be made. No clue until we call the following day in the afternoon, only to find out that the delivery would be 2 days late on a Monday. One star due to us only being available on weekends, the misleading deliveryb slot and lack of update before confirming a new delivery time.

Ordered a watch for a Christmas present to pick up in store was given a slot between the 22-24 th December when I went to pick it up I was told the watch had been sold and no more in stock I was fuming the assistant tried to say I had missed the deadline even though I obviously hadn't and then she said am I sure I ordered it despite me showing her the text and her getting the order code off my phone hmmm somehow she didn't click it had been ordered and neither did the supervisor ! She said I could try and order another which I did it was showing in stock then was told they didn't have it so was offered to choose another one the assistant brought several out I chose one only to be told they couldn't sell them as they were on order one of them being the watch I originally ordered I asked her if I could have that she said no cos someone had reserved it and if they hadn't picked it up be midnight then I could errrmm hello the shop shut at 5pm not to mention its Xmas day tomorrow incompetent to say the least so took my custom elsewhere

I went to the Argos with my Aunt on Wednesday to the store in Kilburn, London. When it was said to go to the collection point, we were standing there for a good 15 mins with the item still not ready. Why call me up to collect the item if it hasnt arrived yet? The employees kept looking at my receipt only to go off and never return - not even explain why the wait was taking so long. This is bad customer service and not only this, but the store itself is very old fashioned with the ordering still having to write the number down on paper.

Penge London Argos - was served by a lady with a snotty attitude who seemed to take pleasure in treating the customer in a rude and condescending manner. Not great customer service.

ordering ... easy paying in advance ... easy collection via fastrack ... easy delivery for larger items ... a nightmare ! if you go for a delivery option, make sure you pick an early in the day appointment. if drivers run out of driving hours you wont get your order ! with no courtessy phone call to apologise for a non delivery !

I am actually reviewing the Argos Review system not the store itself. There are several problems with it: 1. You have to be invited to leave a review. 2. When you are invited to leave a review it is done by email shortly after your purchase and therefore probably before you have had any problems with the purchase. It is not possible to update these reviews later on. 3. If you simply pop into a store and purchase an item there is no way to leave a review 4. Argos vets all reviews before publishing those it finds acceptable. Keeping the above in mind I now pay very little attention to Argos reviews
