“Asda Superstore, Redditch. Unless you're a tech genius don't bother with this store. Almost all the manned checkouts have been replaced by self-service that require you to scan some stupid code with your smart phone - no explanation - just notices telling you to do it. Almost everyone trying to check out was struggling and needed help. If you don't have a smart phone or, like me, you have no idea how to scan the stupid code you'll have to join a mile long queue for a checkout operated by a person. I often use the self-service checkouts at Morrisons without the need to scan a stupid code. Asda - you don't get to tell me what I must or must not do with my phone - it's not yours it's mine - so you can just do one and I'll do my shopping elsewhere.”
“Disgraceful Store .Wont ever be shopping at any Asda store ever again .
Unfortunateley picked up a £40 parking fine here at the Burnley Store 24/10 22 after parking for 40 minutes . Had to return 2 hours later as forgot some item of shopping so parked @10 mins
The cameras picked up the car and mistakenly said wed been there for 2 hours 45 mins . It would appear that the technology is flawed . Please other shoppers be warned Asda are allowing Shoppers to be ripped off by their car park Management company .”
“ASDA KINGSWOOD HULL had no operator tills working 3 weeks ago at 08.30, was told they would not be working until 09.15. We had to use self- serve with a trolley full. We are both pensioners and my wife has severe arthritis of both knees and walks with sticks. Every 2nd. item the scanner stopped, the assistant ended up putting it all through (kept stopping for her), items were falling on the floor DISGUSTING! Complained with 2 e-mails and by letter, not response.”
“Ordered online delivery, time due 4pm-5pm yesterday (2/11/22). At 6pm I range customer services, after 45 minutes on hold the operative (based in South Africa - I asked where they were) told me there was a delay but to expect the delivery by 8pm. The online website tracker stated it was on its way until 10pm when it changed to -
It is unlikely we’ll get your order to you now. Someone should have been in touch. If not, you can contact us here.
No-one had contacted me and I wasn’t going to ring customer services again
The order must be coming from South Africa …….
What appalling customer service Asda, all you needed to do was contact me and let me know what was happening rather than let me wait all night -especially after being given a total misrepresentation by your staff stating that it was still on its way.
I have sympathy for the Customer Sevices and drivers, however the management at Asda are clearly not up to the job if this is how they treat customers.”
“I GOT SOME CHOCCIE DODGERS BISCUITS FOR MY GRANDCHILDREN BUT WHEN WE WENT TO OPEN THEM WE SAW THE SELL BY DATE WAS JULY 2022 IT IS NOW THE END OF OCTOBER. I WENT BACK TO THE EASTBOURNE STORE AND ASK TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER HE JUST SO OH SORRY GIVE HER A REFUND TO HIS MEMBER OF STAFF HE DID NOT SEEM ALARMED THAT HE WAS SELLING OUT OF DATE GOODS AND HE DID NOT SEEM BOTHERED.”
“ASDA REWARDS APP STOPPED WORKING WHEN PHONED FOR HELP THEY HUNG UP AFTER LEAVING US HANGING ON THE LINE FOR 45 MINUTES THEY FAILED TO CALL BACK. THREE MASSIVE SHOPS AND THEY FAILED ME AS A 40 YEAR REGULAR CUSTOMER”
“Thank you to my delivery driver, Jack very efficient and he made sure everything that I ordered was out of his van and that nothing had fell out of the bags and he helped me bring it all in to my house.”
“Went on line to buy a russel hobb 3 in 1 blender priced on line £28 from£34 I TRIED TO DO CLICK AND COLLECT to find can't collect for 3 days, so checked store availability to find it was in stock. We drove 13 miles to find that tge price of £28 was only on.line .I find click snd collect archaic as most places can pick in 1 hour .Come on Asda get your act together and stop ripping customers off . After fuel to and from and having to pay £6 more .Even next day delivery was cheaper than what we paid.”
“Since removing the use by dates on fresh food to 'reduce waste' we have been sent mouldy fruit on 2 occasions, with that and the price of everything sky rocketing and the endless subs/not available it may be time I start shopping elsewhere”
“Home delivery missing over £20 worth of items. Claimed a refund but Asda messaged back "Refund not approved ". No explanation and no right of reply, email address not monitored.”
“Went in to buy a birthday cake from the bakery during my lunch hour. I arrived at 12:10pm. The bakery was unstaffed so I approached several Asda “colleagues” and the response was “sorry, not my department” every time. I walked to Customer Service who promised to put a call out over the PA. She did not!
I stood outside the bakery until 13:00 when someone arrived to start their shift. By this time my lunch break was over. I decided to wait for the cake and got back to work late, still not having eaten my lunch.
When I enquired about the cake I told them I would be popping in at lunchtime and no one told me that staff would be absent. Why was there no sign stating “out to lunch” or “closed”?”
“I shop at asda every couple of days. Can asda explain a sudden price hike in there just essential kitchen towels. Monday 3/10/2022 priced at £1.09. Today Wednesday 5/10/2022 priced at £1.50 that a price hike of 41p. I thought the just essential range was to help your customers with the cost of living. And before asda come back and say it was on rolled back. It has never been on roll back. WELL DONE ASDA.”
“Order online delivery. About £20 worth of item missing. Request a refund. Receive this reply from them. We’re sorry to hear you were not happy with everything you received. However, we could not approve your refund. We’ll use the information you passed us to make sure we improve.”
“Absolute shambles! Not enough manned checkouts, had to wait ages to get served which is not great if you have frozen food in your trolley. Items have been out of stock for several weeks. Customer service is very poor. 'Happy to help' slogan is a joke!”
“Your delivery drivers, Charles, went above and beyond today. I didn't realise he was deaf at first and I only mention it so that you compliment the right gentleman. He brought my shopping in, helped me unpack it and then managed to take the security tag off a bottle of gin which was needed for Saturday. I am unable to go out to the shops as I used to once upon a time and I am so grateful for the help I reveived. Please pass on my thanks. Regards Janet Lowe”
“Absolutely horrendous, won't be shopping with Asda again. Left us with no shopping which we was expecting today. This shopping is for my kids school lunches for the week, at nearly 7pm to tell us they cancelled it because they have problems with their drivers technology stuff absolute shambles. Don't get nowhere with customer services either. People go elsewhere they are a joke and don't care about their customers”
