ETSY, in my opinion, is the most CORRUPT business in the US. Think about it no real phone number to call, no address listed? They closed my shop in March 2020 during pandemic because of a Harvard "trademark" BUT check out Etsy now and search for Harvard products - it is all over Etsy? I had ONE Harvard tshirt for sale, ONE! I did it because there were so many other stores selling it. So my shop got shut down but all other stores can sell? ETSY, in my opinion, is a funnel for cheap products NOT handmade! How can one owner of a shop sell t-shirts but have 3 other shops? And is selling 40,000 tshirts a year!? That is a small business?! I HOPE THIS COMPANY GETS INVESTIGATED AND GETS SHUT DOWN !!!!! THEY ARE CLOSING SMALL BUSINESSES ACROSS THIS COUNTRY EVERY DAY!! It's vile and disgusting!! Their "luck" is going to run out! EXPOSE THEM EVERYONE!

Etsy used to be reputable site with lots of honest merchants. Now it is no longer posssible for those of us who got scammed by dishonest merchants to reach etsy, the scammers are on it! First time a merchant takes my money and bails is the last time I shop with Etsy. What a shame!

Raising fees again? Laughable. If you’re trying to drive small businesses away from Etsy then this is the right way to do it! Raising fees when the fees are extortionate as it is, Etsy is about the investors only now and making a quick buck off the hard work of independent businesses all over the world. We don’t need fancy marketing or extra staff or whatever bs excuse they use for taking such massive cuts of sales. what we need is the money we get paid for our work and not to be having to up our prices to cover the fees that are lining the ceo & investors pockets. Used to be a great platform but now it’s just another ruled by greed & capitalising off the makers who made Etsy what it is today.

I had an item stolen while in transit from the UK to US. Package arrived ripped open, item gone. Tried to deal with the seller who was completely unhelpful and kept making contradictions in her emails as to who handled the package. Etsy was of no assistance, I opened a case to try and get a refund, meanwhile I had notified the Police and Fedex. Etsy closed the case on me even after receiving all the information, saying that the item had been delivered there fore they could not help me! The seller was simply atrocious and refused to refund me. I have been left with opening a case with Fedex to try and get my moneyback. This is not the first problem I have had with ETsy. My advice, STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE! There are simply no protections for buyers. I am out of pocket for $800 and now have to try and fight to get it back. I have never had these issues with Ebay or Poshmark!

Today I shopped with Etsy for the first time. I created an account and made a purchase through MadMoonVintage. I purchase a mirror and it very clearly stated delivery from Poland to Australia was (included) free. That was until I purchased and paid for the item and the seller realised it was far too expensive to deliver to Australia so promptly refunded my money and relisted the item. The reason given was that due to Covid there are delivery problems and the item could not be posted. No other online stores anywhere in the world has made that excuse before. Australia is an island where there are planes operating into and out of the country on a regular basis. This poor excuse is very disappointing as this should be stated by the seller before the items is purchased and paid for. Etsy were simply did nothing and offered $15 as compensation. A dreadful first experience and will never recommend.

If you are a seller, stay away from here. They close your account with out any warning, and cause you to loose money. They close your account for selling the same stuff as other seller on there but only close yours.

We purchased Winnie the Pooh switchplates for our adult bathroom...no children live in the home.Have had to replace twice in a year and a half. The original company name was Attitude me and is now Ak design. We reached out to this seller when they first failed and she acknowledged that the production failed and had updated the process. We purchased another set and they are filing again. That is two sets of switchplates in a year and a half. I have never had to replace andy switchplates in our home unless by choice and I have other custom plates. We reached out to the seller who was not interested in discussing this honestly but rather wanted receipt and order numbers.I do not usually keep records for items such as switch plates however this seller was aware of the issues we were having and assured us she had resolved the issue before we bought them again. Obviously based on the other reviews this company is not that interested in customer satisfaction and clearly this seller knows that...congratulations you saved 9.99 instead of helping a customer.

Etsy doesn’t help at all with orders. Even after you show photos and documentation of issues.

My husband ordered three jerseys and two came. Where is the third one. He tried contacting customer service, he even emailed but he was basically told it’s nothing they can do so he is just out of the money and a jersey. Poor business. We don’t have money to throw up a wild goose a$$.

There is no customer service!!! I can't even begin to tell you about how very inefficient & unacceptable Etsys' so called help/customer service is . After 3 hours of trying to get help or talk to a person, I gave up ( on hold for almost an hour}and still no help. I will NEVER buy through them again!!Too bad there isn't a number lower than 1, perhaps a minus 10 or lower could express the total waste of time and effort just to place an order!! NEVER AGAIN

This is the email I sent to the Etsy "customer service." Shame on Etsy and the US Postal Service. "Please please please help me. I've made very few sales on Etsy, and was so excited when I made one to Coos Bay, Oregon. I was having trouble navigating the shipping label interface on your website, and ended up accidently ordering three labels. You have records that show I only made one sale to this individual in Oregon. I just received notification that my request for a refund was denied by the post office. They also have records that only one label was used. Not issuing a refund is stealing! I see the tagline for Etsy is, "Keep Commerce Human." Humans make mistakes. I hate to lose nearly $80 in fraudulent shipping charges at a time that I really need the money. "

Scammers! Some sellers are great and some are scammers, I tried contacting the seller but have been blocked. Before I made the purchase I questions and the seller contacted me within minutes however after I made the purchase there has been no contact. They claimed to ship within the US but it took over a month to get my purchase. So I looker for the sellers name and the name John Doe appears on the return address label. etsy stated that the seller has to contact me within 48 hours after a question has been asked, That didn't happen. Avoid this company at all costs.

My account was hacked and orders a bunch of stuff on my card. I canceled my card, however the person who hacked me changed my password. (They had access to my email associated to the account.) I was unable to log in, but was worried because they had access to addresses of myself, friends and family. Since there’s no number to call for Etsy customer service, I emailed them immediately. This was in November. I received a pointless automated email a weeks and a half , “advising” to change my person. I explained AGAIN why I wasn’t able to do that, and if there was anyway to flag or cancel my account. I still have yet to get a response and it’s about to be January.

Been scammed and Etsy is just greedily holding and profiting off my money somewhere, taking their sweet time. There's 0 protection when you need it, shop on eBay or literally anywhere else.

This is a company that is trying to compete with the BIG BOY on the block eBay and doing a very poor job of it. As a Buyer and Seller on Etsy, I was quick to realize that they do not have their act together. As a seller, the hits on my vintage toy items were insignificant, but they continued to charge me a monthly facility fee and there was no way to communicate with their customer service. On the buying side, I currently have a purchase that is stuck in limbo some place between Canada and my location in the U.S.A. and not only does Etsy not confirm my purchase, but makes it impossible to contact them. Etsy is a second class company and always will be. I would recommend that you take your online business to a safer more legitimate company and avoid the risks associated with Etsy. Bottom line just take a look at the rest of the reviews listed here, which solidify my points.
