Thieves - they offered me £203 initially, then reduced the price to £140 when phone was received for ‘scratches and marks’ i.e. wear and tear!! Sorry did they expect my 4 year old iPhone to be pristine untouched?? Absolute joke, in the end I rejected the initial offer and they increased it to £170 - I will never use them again and wish I had read all the bad reviews. Trade in are Carphone Warehouse you may not be quoted the same price initially but you are guaranteed that price as long as your phone is working!!!

Terrible company !!!! Suggests you use there packaging which I did to send my phone So they offer me £590 for my phone which you would assume if using there recommend packaging it would be fully insured !!! However when the phone never arrived (surprise surprise ) I get £100 compensation for my lost £590 Read every part of the small print will never use them again And as I am writing this review I see it’s happen to someone else

If I could give zero stars I would. Looking at the reviews it seems like everyone has had the same experience. to sum it up they either expect you to send them a brand new phone to refurbish which is a joke or they just give you a price online before you send the phone only to then try and bargin with you and bring the price down by 90%. I should have taken the option to sell it to 02 which I will do when I get my phone back which had better be in the same condition

Disgusting company, offered £330 for an iPhone 8 Plus 250 which was in mint condition, when they received the phone the report was a joke, offered us £100 less, I took the amount as I did not want to receive my phone back damaged as I looked at the reviews of this company after I sent my phone to them to discover lots of people receive there phones back damaged and unable to sell on, lesson learnt, do not use this company!!!

Shocking! Quoted me £122 for my iPhone 7. When they received it, they said they would only give me £60. It was in almost mint condition! They then said £90 and I said no. I asked them to Send my phone back and I had no reply for over a week. I had to then call them and ask them to send it back which they said they would. A week later I’ve just phoned back and they said it’s still in the warehouse and it hasn’t been sent back, they will send it back today. Let’s see if that happens!

Ditto all the previous reviews - agreed £137 on line, tried to say it was damaged etc etc and offered me £50 - told them to poke it and send my phone back, they then upped it to 70, then 90, then £115 - unbelieveable This company needs to be nrought to account by trading standards - clearly it is a scam, they obviously have a proportion of people who just accept what they say. theyre returning my phone and haven't mentioned it costing me to do so - their website does say it will send it back for free. Lets see if they have managed to accidentally on purpose scratch or damage it.....

Handtec is Scammer company when it comes to selling you phone. It would initially lure you in with a decent trade-in quote, and then once your phone is with them, they will find something or many things that is wrong with your phone, even if the phone is in mint condition. The typical excuse they use is 'your battery is heavily used' or 'xxxx part needs to be replaced'. and following all these ludicrous/made-up issue, they will typically offer you a 30% - 70% reduction to your original quote. In my case, I was quoted 100 pounds for my old iphone, and then they said, 'we have revised your quote to 30 pounds'. I know I have looked after my phone, and there was literally nothing wrong with it apart from some minor cosmetic scratches at the back. The company is run by crooks, the person who owns it is called Azer Mahmood based in Peterborough and I have reported him and the company to the UK Trading Standards, and I would encourage you to do the same if you also have been scammed, as when enough complaints are received by the UK Trading Standards, they will investigate and eventually stop this scammer company from trading and defrauding others.

Quote one price to buy then once they receive your goods offer another. Claimed goods were marked so challenged them and asked them to provide photos to support their claim. They wouldn’t and then upped the price. Avoid

Don’t even want to give 1 star but can’t give them anything less. What ever you do don’t sell them a phone . Offered over £400 come back to me with less than £200 days screen is burnt out battery has heavy usage and scratches all over it , YER RIGHT. My phone is in excellent condition and I was offered over £350 for it in another shop in town and tested , guess what ! The guy said this phone is in excellent condition. This company lie to give the best price online , that way people send there phone to then . That’s when the fun starts a the emails and calls and the stress . If it sounds to good then it is a scam . Plesse please can I not stress enough check other reviews on other sites too . They are awful. To the point they are legal crooks and the owner needs to be shut down and never aloud to run a buissness again ... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Appalling company with appalling customer services - tried to sell an Apple Watch after receiving an online quote. After a lengthy delay having initially sent the watch in, I received an email saying the watch couldn't be bought as it was listed as a "demo device" by apple (despite having been bought directly from the Apple store and apple subsequently confirming there is no such marker on their devices as a demo device). Having challenged Handtec, they then changed the story and told me Apple had informed me the device had been marked as black listed as it was classed as stolen. I went directly into apple to have the serial number verified and they informed me that there is no such thing as device black listing and that my device was fine. After again challenging Handtec, they informed me they wanted £30 to return the device, which I begrudgingly paid after reading the terms and conditions on their site in detail. They twice "forgot" to send me the item back after I paid the £30 - and after asking them for my £30 back was told they couldn't despite the inconvenience it had caused me. Asked about the complaints process and left my details for a team leader to call me back (who never did). Avoid at all costs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! these scammers offered me £60 pound for my i phone, once they received my phone they sent me an email asking for my apple id because the phone hadnt been reset. a remotely reset my phone through a link they sent me as im unwilling to give them my passwords and its illegal for them to ask me for them. they still wernt satisfied, i asked for my phone to be returned but they are trying to charge me £30 to do so, if i dont pay it they are keeping the phone on £0 value. this is a crime and i will be taking them to court
