“Finally after several attampts got through to Customer Services today. Was told that as Iron was supplied by an agent and not RD direct. Not informed of this at the time they would have to send a message to the provider of the item, but would call me back in 2 weeks confirming a refund. Nothing heard so I rang 4 days in a row. Left my number for a call back which eventualy came after approx 36 hours, but of course by then I was out. On my call today I was put through to Customer Service support who could do nothing but take orders, Spoke to a manager-c winson who was useless and said he could only take a message and pass on. Nightmare Do Not Use”
“We ordered boxes for a house move next week. Paid for next day delivery, aand then got an email the next day to say it would be a day late.
Three days later no delivery at all customer service hard to contact and they dont know where the oreder is.
We have now taken three extra days off work as they keep saying next day for delivery.
Will never use them again.”
“I ordered a brabantia bin to be delivered to my daughters I bought and paid for it and I entered my address as the billing address. I paid for names day delivery the bin turned up 3 days early luckily she was home. When the bin arrived it had a dent in it. I contacted customer services but they advised that my daughters address was down as the billing address despite me entering my own and despite me paying for it and said they could not speak to me. My daughter contacted them and they arranged to collect the bin but would t deliver another until collected. The new bin arrived today and guess what another sent in it. We contacted them again to ask for a refund but they won’t do this until the bin is collected my daughter works in the city and can’t be home at their whim because they can’t get it right. Appalling service would never buy from them again no matter what discount or offers are available would definitely recommend staying clear there are other retailers far more helpful and actually get it right”
“Ordered a present for a relative as a surprise. Because I put their address for delivery, they became the booking holder. Phoned customer services after 2 weeks of not hearing anything and delivery date passing, was told they couldn’t speak to me as I wasn’t the name on the account even though I placed and payed for it. Had to tell the relative about her present therefore NO surprise, they then had to constantly phone to find out where order was, finally after 4 weeks and 10+ phone conversations I got a refund. Robert Dyas your customer service is...,,,,”

I have worked, been an owner and have been connected to retail for most of my working life and this is not the way to run a business. “Absolutely appalling service from start to finish.
I ordered a fridge, which arrived badly damaged. I informed Robert Dyas straight away and yet they disputed it for 3 weeks. They finally arranged collection and then had the audacity to send the same damaged fridge back to me.
Customer service has been awful throughout, the phone lines are permanently busy so is the live chat, I sent 4 emails before getting a response. When I eventually spoke to someone they promised I’d get a call back from a manager by the end of the working day and as expected they didn’t call.
I will never use Robert Dyas again they’ve caused so much stress and frustration. I highly recommend others to purchase from elsewhere.”

“This company is absolutely ridiculous and don't take customer service seriously. A few weeks agoI ordered a Brabantia bin, they sent it damaged THREE TIMES IN A ROW. Always with the same type of dent. Every time I had to wait home for the delivery THE WHOLE DAY (no time slots provided), and spend another whole day for the courier to pick up the faulty product. Huge waste of time! Third time I asked to collect the parcel in store, thinking they would be extra careful, having been advised about the issue. It didn't work and the product was received damaged again. At the end I gave up and asked for a refund.
I genuinely think it is a scam, as the product is from an old collection, they are literally the only shop that have it available online and they are selling it on all the platforms (RD website, ebay, Amazon, etc). I am sure they have a batch of faulty products that they are trying to sell. First time I complained they offered me a £10 refund if I wanted to keep the product. A lot of people would probably accept.
Unfortunately for them I have all the pictures of the dented bins and their absolutely perfect boxes, which I have shared with an association that protects customers and they are currently investigating on the case. The boxes should have had at least a scratch or bump if they were really containing a product dented that way. They were instead all in perfect condition. I think this demonstrate the products have been repackaged. Three in a row CANNOT BE A CASE.
Anyway, try to avoid this company as they are muppets and they will treat you like s**t if you try to complain.”
“Ordered a present for a relative's birthday. I selected Click and Collect (their website claims it takes up to 5 days) with the hope that it would arrive just in time. Then I received an email with the link to track my order, clicked on it and saw that it was going to take a week (in my opinion wayyy too long for click and collect) so would be too late for the bday. I tried contacting them with the form on their website (have yet to receive a response) and then spoke to a charmless customer service agent through live chat. I asked if I could cancel my order, so I could purchase the product from somewhere with a quicker delivery time. He said that there was no guarantee they could cancel it and that I would have to wait another two days to find out! The order hasn't even been despatched yet (in fact, tracking service hasn't been updated at all, nearly 3 days later) so don't understand why I have to wait this long? Really annoyed as I was hoping that I could get the present quick and easy, but no such luck. Cheers for that Robert Dyas! Will be steering clear of this garbage company from now on, and make sure to double check reviews when ordering online. Just hope I get my refund, wish me luck folks!”
“Placed an order for click and collect as it showed several of the items in store, received email to say item would be delivered to the store in a weeks time! Rung store who confirmed item was in store but would not allow me to collect one, said i would have to cancel the order and pay for another in store! Rung customer services, they couldnt do anything so they cancelled my order without asking me, now I have to wait 5 days for a refund!!! Absolute joke.”
“Bought Kärcher K2 Premium Full Control Car and Home Pressure Washer in November 2017 from Robert Dyas shop and used it only two times for small patio cleaning. When tried to use it for third time the pressure hose is damaged and lot of water are coming through the holes from the pressure hose. Karcher says it is not covered within warranty. They are categorising as wear and tear but spending nearly £200 for a pressure washer that doesn't even last for three usage is really worst quality. The replacement hose itself costs £45 which is very expensive.
I will not recommend this product. It is waste of money.”
“Do not buy anything from Robert Dyas. They are selling white goods via a supplier but the supplier cannot supply the goods and services that you paid RD for, then they do not deal with emails or complaints nor will they refund your money. Has to be the worst retail company operating in the UK. AVOID. You have been warned. I feel so stupid buying a washing machine from them without reading the other reviews. Now I am hundreds of pound out of pocket and they don't even bother dealing with the issue when you raise it they seem to get a complaint and a compliment mixed up and tell you everything is fine and you will hear from their supplier when you just told RD that their supplier has been in touch to say that the goods and services you paid RD for does not exist, and they don't know why RD offer them.”
