“I ordered a microwave in April during the lockdown. Website was not working properly therefore I appeared to have ordered it twice. Had 1 delivered and then the next day another delivered. I immediately emailed them explaining the situation and after numerous emails and 5 months later I have no joy.
Can’t find an address so I can write and complain. Keeps telling me to email!
I will never ever Purchase from the company again and will never recommend either.
In the meantime I continue to get my money back”

website said delivery 10-15 working days , on 22nd july received an email to say had been dispatched and would be delivered in next few days, it is now the 25th august and no sign of the bench . i have requested the order be cancelled and a refund issued but am being told that it is with the courier and cannot be cancelled, i will have to refuse the delivery , THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH , i cannot stay at home everyday in the vain hope i am there to refuse the delivery. ROBERTY DYAS has failed to fulfil my order and i want a refund i will be contacting TRADING STANDARDS ,”
“I wonder do RD really care? Ordered a garden bench from the eBay site. Didn’t’ get confirmation so rang RD office. After a search they found my order but still no email confirmation. Delivery turned up but only part order. Carrier knew nothing of other parts. Sent emails to RD. Received an email from carrier stating a date and window for other parts. Stayed in all day but no delivery - however carrier’s tracking showed that it had been delivered to me. Sent email to RD. Then a neighbour in another road contacted me to say that a delivery had been left outside his house when he was out.
Bad news! It was damaged. More emails.
Phone calls are a waste of time - you wait ages for a reply, use there call back service but RD do not call back.
Finally received replacement part.
After sales service is very poor. I’m surprised that they survive as a business.

“Absolutely shocking customer service. Placed an order on 29 July and was given a delivery date of 5 August. Goods did not turn up but I was unable to make an enquiry until 6 August to be told that I had to wait another 72 hours for a reply from their supplier. I have now been told that I won't hear anything until Wednesday 12 August, 6 days after my delivery date. I didn't place my order with their supplier I ordered with Robert Dyas - and I received no email to say that there was a delay with the delivery. Quick enough to take my money but what appalling customer service.”
“would not recommend anyone buy from Robert Dyas online. I ordered a toaster and breadbin which took an age to be delivered and when it finally arrived was the wrong colour. A month later and the box is still here in my house waiting to be collected and I have no refund. The customer service team keep sending emails blaming their supplier for not collecting but the fact is it's been 4 weeks and nothing has been done. So my advice is buy from somewhere with an efficient customer service team then if something goes wrong you can simply return the product and get your money back.”

I placed an order for my 10 yrs old son’s playshed, for ahich he paid from his own pocket money and his birthday money, costing hundreds of pounds. It was due for delivery 7th July. My husband took that week off work to fix it up for our son and he was so so pleased, counting days on his calendar for 7th July.
We received a short and confusing, some what uncaring and not so bothered email from your suppliers saying they won’t be delivering and they don’t know when. It was mery two lines of email.
My son was heart broken but we understood because of the current climate.
We patiently waited and heard absolutely Nothing from your suppliers for many days, hence I emailed them myself. Again, s very short 2 lines of similar reply from them.
Then we waited again for many days and as previously I took the initiative of contacting the suppliers myself (they never). For the second email , they didn’t even bother to give me 2 lines of not so bothered reply.
Then i waited more days and emailed robert dyas directly. I had an encouraging rely from them. They asked me to wait 3 working days but I patiently waited 5 working days, despite now being seriously worried about my son’s playshed for which he paid hundreds of pounds from his pocket money and knowing that our current financial situation will not allow us to arrange this money again.
To add to my frustration and huge disappointment I heard Nothing from robert dyas either even after patiently waiting for 5 working days.
Please please please hep me, I don’t know what else to do, i have sent numerous emails to your suppliers and to yourselves directly. I am very worried about my order now, specially as there’s no initiative on the communication from your suppliers for almost 3 weeks and now that includes robert dyas as well.
I regret to say this but most highly disappointed customer service and communication from your suppliers and now that includes yourself, probably Never ever placing an order with robert dyas ever again. 😞

“I’m not the type to complain, especially in these difficult times but this service is just shockingly bad.
I bought a coffee maker on 10.05.20, the filter was missing. I raised it and I have sent 28 emails since asking for an update - still not resolved!
They wouldn’t send the missing part as I suggested, so a courier collected the machine instead. Now they have my machine and my money in their pockets - All I have an email trail of some 55 or more email exchanges! Most of these are automated & meaningless. The odd person has sent a personal one which was polite and hopeful but still, nothing.
They keep saying they await a response from the manufacturer & I should hear back within 3 days. 3 days! It’s been almost 3 months!
It’s beyond a joke. I am not someone who enjoys complaining but I haven’t any option - Judging by the comments here they seem genuinely unable to mange in these times, I shan’t shop there again.”
“not compliant with customer law, tried to fob me off by stating that damaged goods was responsibility of manufacturer rather than Dyas from whom I bought the goods. do not answer emails and first I heard that goods were going to be refunded was when delivery service asked when to collect goods.”

“Ordered a bbq on 31/05/2020, only half the bbq arrived. Emailed Robert Dyas was advised the rest of the bbq would arrive in a couple of day. Needless to say it never arrived. Emailed again and no response. I had to do a credit card charge back to get my money back! When I got my money back from my credit card company guess what...they responded to my emails. Needless to say this issue has still not been resolved and I still have part of a bbq, but at least I paid on credit card and was able to get my money back that way.

“Shocking customer service. I have been waiting nearly a month for an order that should have been delivered in 3-5 days. I have chased it with Robert Dyas several times and requested a refund 3 times. I keep getting an automated email response. I have a requested a call back from a real person but to no avail. I am now having to claim a refund through my credit card company as Robert Dyas customer service is non-responsive and frankly non-existent. Avoid this company at all costs.”
“Appalling customer services. I’m having to constantly email about a purchase I made and no goods have been sent.
My money had been taken and Robert Dyas accept no responsibility for the purchase and blame the suppliers who they have a lack of contact with. Would never recommend buying anything from this company. Avoid at all costs.”
“Ordered a shed 5th May, was told a delivery date on three separate occasions and guess what still not delivered.
Even though we purchased from Robert Dyas, they hold responsibility with Shire who apparently dont tell Robert Dyas what is going on.
The communication between them is next to nothing and have still not had any joy so have cancelled the order after waiting over 10 weeks.
You call Robert Dyas who say call Shire, you try and call Shire and get no response from them either. All rather frustrating. If I was told at the beginning that it would take this long I would have ordered elsewhere.
I gave the benefit of the doubt on two occassion due to Covid and understanding it was difficult times but after the third one that was it :(”
“I order an electric grill on the 3rd June which upon arrival stopped working on its first use. After several attempts to get hold of the company via their customer service website (note -they do not have a contact no.) I eventually decide to personally return the item to their Bristol store which was closed however I found a contact tele. no on their window. (tel 033310366770 if you need it) After several frustrating communications -live chat/email and telephone I have just had confirmation that the money has been sent back onto my account. It beats me why Theo Paphitas of Dragons Den fame would want to buy into this business which I can honestly say has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. DO NOT buy anything on-line from this company -you have been warned!”

Purchase a playhouse for my son arrived in June - emailed ASAP due to damages - informed that they have raised as priority with supplier and waiting on their response - blah blah blah after always being asked by Robert LIEAs customer dontcare team for 2 days etc while they wait for the supplier to respond - 6 emails later and Twitter DMs they tell me to contact the supplier direct - which I did to be informed that Robert LIEAs have never even contested them. I have since forwarded on the emails to the supplier, as they could not believe what I was telling them.
Poor poor show.”
