“My Carved Mango Wood Corner Bookcase is really very pretty except that the knob/handle is totally useless as it is comes off as soon as you pull it to open the door. The door is held by a magnet, therefore the handle needs to be strong enough. There is also some substantial damage to the bottom part even though the unit was very well wrapped and packed. I am attaching some photos. Please note that I do not want a replacement as I don’t want to have to unpack another unit again!”
“I ordered GTec sweeper. The order was placed delivered within 24 hours. One wheel was broken off. I reported this to customer services to someone l could hardly understand with a screaming child/children in background it was really difficult. I have just received a message from someone l could hardly understand saying it would take 12 days to resolve. So how come delivered so quickly and damaged you have my money and takes almost 2 weeks to resolve. Doubt if l shall ever deal with you after this is resolved”
“I am not blaming the company but who ever their stockists are I ordered 4 rolls Navy panel wallpaper which were not opened until my decorator came to do the job.This job had to be done quickly so we had to use it.each roll was damaged along the edge as if the wallpaper had been bashed very poor quality as if they were rejects.1 roll had splashes of paint on it.the job took over two and a half hours because he had to find bits of the rolls he could use.1and a half rolls were rejected because they could not be used. The job should only have taken one and a half hours at the most”
“Ordered a small foldable side table with rattan top. Looked very nice but the clips are too small for the legs to clip into. So we have to balance them !!! Not good !!Already read reviews so decided not to send it back as people have had bother getting their refunds.”

“Visited George st Hove for an ironing board, good selection on offer, chose a Brabantia, the shelf prices read £54.99 or £59.99. On arrival at the counter I was asked for £69.99. On investigation it was established that I’d picked up a C and the shelf price was for B, although there weren’t any B’s displayed only C’s. I had a £5 voucher so I went ahead with the purchase but was not happy with the lax customer support.”

Appears goods are coming from a third party when I received the order confirmation which was not clear when I placed the order. Very poor, and I will be chasing a refund of my £259.99”
“The current situation as confirmed to me by head office after I complained, is that no entry is allowed in all stores unless you tell the member of staff stationed at the door, the specific thing you have come to purchase.

“This is a follow up from my previous review, I’d like to thank a very helpful lady named Aly from Crewe customer services, after we experienced a stressful time chasing up a Smart TV we ordered, which didn’t arrive, Aly was very helpful, she kept in touch with us, chased the order, we eventually received our TV albeit 4 days late!! I still would not recommend buying anything from Robert Dyas, but credit where it is due, Aly was a great help in sorting the problem out..”
“This is a follow up from my last review.. After several phone calls to customer service we finally got someone who actually helped us, the lady in question is named Aly, and works at the Crewe customer service centre. We can’t thank her enough for how she took time to sort the problem out, and she even gave us a call when she finished work to ask if we had received our TV..
We eventually received our Smart TV, 5 days late, but at least it arrived!!
I would not use Robert Dyas again.”

I ordered an item online and paid the extra offered for next - day delivery.
As this did not occur; I contacted them to remind them of the offer.
No reply, no offer or re-imbursement of the excess (not the money, but the principle). So one star for eventual delivery, and one for it being intact.”

Item arrived damaged - huge dent -31st October, sent photos within 30 minutes, then...phone calls and emails to chase...finally 5th November told them to just refund me...which they will only do when the item is collected.
