“I had my Skechers D'Lites for 6 weeks.
I walked in them for half an hour everyday and I wore them other times too.
At 6 weeks the inside heels of both shoes had ripped.
They are almost to the point of leaving blisters.
I also had to break them in because they hurt the first few times I wore them.”
“Subject: Extremely Disappointing Experience at Store #01391
Dear [Store Manager/Customer Service Team],
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding the dreadful service I received at your store. On March 31 at 17:01:19, I visited store #01391 (Register 01, Transaction 062214) to purchase a D'Lites Play On Black.
When I requested a fresh piece instead of one from the display, the staff member outright refused. Her attitude was rude and impolite, and she demonstrated a complete lack of customer service skills. Despite my clear explanation that I have an allergy, she still refused to provide me with a fresh piece from the back. This level of service is completely unacceptable.
I urge you to address this issue immediately and ensure that your staff is properly trained in both customer service and handling allergy-related requests. No customer should have to face such dismissive and unprofessional treatment.
I expect a prompt response and an explanation of how you intend to rectify this matter.
Sincerely,
Shereen”
“My bad experience was today 3/26/25 @7:12pm store #00541. Pearlanf Tx. I took my 76 year old mom to buy shoes which she bought 6 pairs and both sales associates working were very rude! The young man was not friendly at all and when ask for help seemed very bothered then the cashier lady was very unpleasant I told her it seems like no one smiles here she responded “that’s just our faces” I asked her for there names since she didn’t have a name badge on and she responded “ we are not allowed to give our names” she was a young woman (assoc:130471) Both of them made our experience unpleasant and we still bought 6 pairs of shoes! Please train them to give better customer service!!”
“I bought a pair of sketchers, the hands free ones, I wore them to work today and they hurt my feet so bad. They are the worst shoes i have ever had on my feet. I called sketchers to see what they could do about it and they offered me a thirty five percent discount on another pair so buyer beware!!!!”
“11 months ago i purchased a pair of Skechers shoes (Go Run) and was disappointed with the quality. The sole's gum is not strong, causing it to wear out quickly. The overall build of the shoes feels subpar, especially considering the brand's reputation. I expected better durability and comfort, but unfortunately, these shoes did not meet my expectations. Skechers should improve the sole quality to ensure better longevity and value for customers. And should replace this pair of shoes.”
“I bought the sketchers zip up work shoes and they are the most uncomfortable work shoes o have ever wore. I’m on my feet 10 hours a day on concrete and I have tried 5 different pair of inserts and the shoes still hurt like hell. For 109.00 u would think they would be a comfortable work shoes and they are not slip resistant very slick on rainy days. Would not recommend sketchers . Had better luck with Georgia giant work shoes.”
“If FedEx loses your package your on the hook until fedex contacts sketchers back. That's not how good business works, I didn't lose my own package, I didn't send the package. I shouldn't have to pay for something I didn't receive. Sketchers is blocked on everything and I will be deleting my account after all of this is settled.”
“Do not buy Sketchers running shoes! I ran in the Go Running line for years and got 600+ miles. Now at less than 200 the tread comes off (faulty glue) or wear through (tread too thin). I’ve made two complaints to Sketchers but they always say “normal wear and tear” and off small discount for a new pair but do not stand behind their product.. DO NOT BUY!!!”
“have been a loyal Skechers customer for the past decade, ever since the brand entered India. Over the years, I have had a fantastic experience with their sports shoes and walking shoes, which have always provided great comfort, durability, and style.
However, my recent purchase of the Skechers Garlan Deno in Canada was a huge disappointment. The quality and comfort that I had come to expect from Skechers were completely missing in this model. The material felt poor and flimsy, lacking the durability I’ve always trusted in Skechers products. Within a short period of use, the shoes started showing signs of wear, making it clear that this was not up to Skechers’ usual standards.
To make matters worse, when I tried to request a refund, the process was frustrating and unhelpful. Given my long-standing trust in the brand, this experience was extremely disappointing. I hope Skechers improves its quality control and customer service, as this has made me seriously reconsider my loyalty to the brand.”
“I bought these shoes less than 6 months and.
wore them less than 2 hours walking per day, 5 days a week.
And the top of the shoe started turning a loose from the bottom on the left shoe. And I went to the store and they would not do nothing about it but offer me a 20% discount on another pair and I will never buy another pair of sketchers again. I bought those because they were quality shoes. But they've proven themselves not to be.”
“So I walk into Skechers store in Killeen, Texas and I see the big sign that says buy one get 50% off 2nd pair
So 1 so I go to the discount rack and for an hour find four pairs of shoes then I get to the counter and they say that it doesn’t the 50% off is not on the discount shoes
Nowhere does it say that except a little tiny print that I couldn’t read nobody could read”
“The deluxe walkers are notorious for wearing out quickly in the mesh areas of the toes. I have had 3 pairs to wear out in the toe areas of the shoes, especially the big toe area. The mesh seems to be too weak or just not materially strong enough to hold up under every day use.
The rest of the shoes hold up well but the shoes can’t be worn with the holes in the toes.
It’s just not cool to have holes in the toes of your shoes, like it’s cool to have holes cut out in the knees of blue jeans.
It’s a shame to have to discard otherwise good shoes were it not for the holes in the toes.
Why doesn’t Skechers make the material thicker so this won’t happen. Or, at least provide some strong, matching, self adhesive patches to cover the unsightly holes!
I generally like Skechers shoes but this has been a very troublesome problem for me.
I have not had this problem with any other brand of shoes.”
“We bought two pairs of men's flip flops from Skechers on Military and Okeechobee Boulevard in West Palm Beach, Florida. They looked like good quality and I've known this brand for many years, but after just wearing them once for two days they completely fell apart. This is a very bad product. I've gone to the store to report this defect and the salespeople have been rude and didn't even pay attention to what I wanted to explain to them. They say that in order to accept a claim the shoes must not have been used, which I don't understand how you can tell they're not good if you never wear them. I'm very surprised because I've known this brand for many years and I've never had any problems, but I will never even look at their products again.”
“I ordered the Skechers model Pollard-Osgood size 9 wide from Skechers online because the shoe looks like fairly traditional leather loafer with a strong rubber sole. From the photo below I think I had every reason to believe the shoe would wear like a loafer and have sturdy but cushioned heel. Unfortunately for me the heel of the shoe has no support at all and I feel like I am wearing flat soled slippers. I walk about ten blocks to my office every day. I wore the for the first time today. It was so bad that I went home at lunch time and changed into one of my pairs of ecco casuals. I am so disappointed because I fell for all of Skechers's marketing. I should have read reviews. I will say this, the shoe appears to be well made with good materials. It is just poorly designed as a casual shoe for men.
Also delivery to me in Manhattan took much longer than I expected since they said the shoes were in stock.”
