I ordered on the 15th of March and I haven't received My order and the communication with the customer service is very bad,It was my very first time ordering and I'm really angry and disappointed because I needed the parcel for tomorrow so I won't be attending the event because they haven't delivered and they are not truthful.

Ongoing saga with Takealot ... This company has been content over the years to "take a lot" of our money. Personal items, gifts, business equipment and purchases on behalf of clients - we have found it a convenient platform for almost everything we need, with good prices and good service. But then something changed. Takealot became an open marketplace where anyone and their dog could open a drop-shipping tab and sell whatever they wanted. Prices became unpredictable, changing arbitrarily and often to ridiculous amounts. Delivery times became problematic, sometimes fluctuating wildly after an order was placed. And the quality of the products has noticeably declined, so that we often have to return items that are either of poor quality, do not match the description or are faulty. Now our account has been blocked (without giving any reason) and has not been reactivated even after several messages. Finally, we were told that the suspension was because of "too many returns". Well, yes! Supply cr@ppy products; get a lot of returns! Latest update - we received an email telling us that our last purchase (which we were charged for) was cancelled "at our request" - NOPE! We didn't ask to cancel the order, YOU did, Takealot! The email also said that a refund would be made to our account - which is still blocked and inaccessible at this point. You're joking, right? We're done playing this game. Once this issue is resolved, we'll take our business elsewhere. The balance between convenience and annoyance has shifted in the wrong direction.

I ordered 4 items but unbeknown to me, takealot tells me that I ordered twice the same 4 items and that these were delivered to me on the same day. This is utter rubbish as i only received the one delivery. I asked for a proof that the second delivery reached my flat and was signed for but they cannot supply this to me, pretending that the drivers dont remember. What a scandal that robbed me of R2000. Never never again dishonest Takealot

I had a great experience at Takealot Cape Town's new pickup premises in Richwood. What a pleasure. In and out under 5 minutes. The staff are friendly and helped me quickly with a smile. From the security person at entrance, to the quick meet and greet and then pick up area. New premises as good as the old just more spacious and open. Thank you will definitely come pick up my purchases in future again.

I had a truly terrible experience - I ordered 3 of the same books as gifts. I opened the package and initially only took out the top book (as all 3 books was exactly the same). A week later when I took out the last book from the box it was in a horrific condition. The hardcover edges were broken off and the spine was broken - how can I give this to someone as a gift? I came across this about ten days after I received the books. I contacted Takalot for a return. A courier came to collect the package. Later that same day they informed me via email that they will not replace the damaged item since it was already more than 7 days after the delivery. Two days later a courier came around and delivered the damaged book to me again. What I don't understand is how you deliberately package a broken item and "hide" it under other items so the client don't initially notice, then decline a replacement? This is extremely poor customer service and I think we should say something and speak out. I will not support Takalot again.

Please think twice about ordering gifts from Takealot who lived up to their name and took a lot from me!Takealot gives you the option to order and pay for an item to be delivered as a gift.I bought a gift for my daughter and when it arrived she opened it and used the product.When I visited her I discovered that the product I ordered and paid for was incorrect so I reported the matter to Takealot who confirmed that the incorrect item was dispatched at it was cheaper than the item I paid for.They insisted on me returning the incorrect item even though I told him it was partially used and the packaging was discarded.They said that in order to process the refund they need the incorrect item returned so I returned it only to see that the refund was discarded because the item was not in its original packaging and partially used.So Takealot took my money, sent me the wrong item, took the wrong item back and now I don't have my money or the product.Shocking pathetic service and absolutely thievery.

I have never had any problems with Takealot. When I place an order I am always at peace that I will receive the correct items in a reasonable time period. The staff are extremely competent, from the pick up point staff right through to management and customer service. I always find the best prices on Takealot and if I think something is too expensive I add the item on my wishlist and Takealot always sends me a notification when it's on special. I had 2 returns so far due to ordering incorrect sizes and Takealot happily refunded me and the items where returned. They gave me the option of either keeping the credit to use with my next order, or pay back into my account. I think this is the best company ever!!!

We didn't receive the order and now I see the date has been pushed back *again* We ordered the Dec 25th, estimated delivery was the 29th of Dec Then when I checked again, it was 3 Jan, Then checked again, it was 10 Jan, Then 16, then 17 then 19, Now it says the 20th, I have never experienced this kind of issue before, being pushed back so many times but BOTH items show "Eligible for next-day delivery or collection" So how can this be happening? It makes no sense. It feels like your website is misleading when it's stating this, yet almost a month has passed. We have cancelled the order, but with this experience I don't feel I can rely on takealot in future and we will not be ordering again as a result.

I recently returned an outdoor bistro set after only 8 months it was starting to rust and had developed two small rust patches on the table surface of an otherwise immaculate outdoor set. Takealot collected the set, told me the warranty didn't cover rust. That is not the issue. After collecting from me, somewhere along the line, they damaged the bistro set, severely scratching paint off the table and both chairs. Now they want to me accept a bistro set that THEY have damaged! The rust you could hardly notice, but the paint is scratched off everywhere. Unacceptable!

Previously Takealot sent different products to what was advertised, which I returned for a replacement and then again received a wrong product, then requested a refund. Recently I ordered 3 x 10x solar lights supplied by third parties SQI/PCP Tactical Arms and once again received different, inferior products to what was advertised. Returned all for refund. Initially I rated Takealot 5 star, then 4 star, now 1 star for the 3 wrong products.

I had an extremely poor experience with takealot. It's sad that the only way of contacting someone for help is the customer service help form that gets sent to people that dont understand the terms and conditions for the company they work for. I had a refund put in for an order that used a coupon and the website clearly says that when a coupon is used the person will be refunded and a new coupon will be given to the person. DON'T FALL FOR THIS!!!! the customer service agents do not understand this and instead just give you a voucher!!!! You either dont get a refund or you dont get a voucher back!!!!!! NEVER PURCHASING WITH TAKEALOT AGAIN.

I dont have time to write it over and over, they are a bunch of liars and thieves, trying to scam people I cam from previous reviews that they habe been caught a few times but not enough to stop or they just dont care I will never do business with them again even if the product is 10 times more expensive somewhere else

Firstly Takealot do not provide a facility to give feedback on themselves only on the products they sale as an intermediary for the sellers. Takealot did not deliver my order to my house as per the order but to an entirely different address. They do not provide their phone number easily but I managed to find it. It is 080873628000. When I called them, they could not explain what had happened and would not give me a refund when I asked for one. Be warned Takealot is not safe and secure delivery as they falsely claim on their website

I had a delivery due on Saturday 5 November which did not arrive. I did not receive any communication indicating that my delivery would not be delivered. I phoned on Sunday morning and was told that my query would be escalated and someone would come back to me, no response. I queried on Monday morning, same story, my query would be escalated. Do you call this customer service?? I call it disgusting service!!!!

After delivery was promised early Saturday morning, 2 hours wait, no product, product was delivered late afternoon. Guess what, totally wrong product!! No communication, they do not care if they made a mistake and also not eager to fix it, expect delivery 12-14 days later. Extremely bad experience with them!

I placed an order on 1Sept Ref 113086376✓ 6 x Sets of 4 Non Stick 13cm Removable Bottom Quinche Sets @ R352 per set.✓Delivery date was 8Sept✓ Rescheduled for 13Sept.✓Waiting for Supplier to fulfill your order✓ 12Sept I got an sms just after 7am - your order is scheduled for delivery on 13Sept before 7pm✓ around 10am - 12Sept, your order is out for delivery before 7pm today.✓ just after 3pm ,12Sept a Takealot driver asks what time I will be available to receive my order...I said anytime after 17h30✓ Pronto , driver arrives...I argue that the order cannot fit in 2 small boxes he had...we check details on the boxes...match my order✓ I further suggest that I first open boxes if it is indeed what I ordered, I pay him✓ He objects as that is not allowed.You pay the order is yours, if anything is wrong, you schedule Returns online or call 0873628000✓ I pay R2117✓ Open the boxes to my horror.🙆🏽‍♀️ Takealot supplied-: 20 x Hillhouse 11cm Non Stick Solid Bottom Mini Tart Pans @ R136 each on their site.😭 Definitely not what is on my order.I open my account and show the driver my Acc still reads -: 6 x Sets of 4 Non Stick 13cm Removable Bottom Quinche Sets @ R352 per set.
