Do not sell on this site! I recently completed my first sale on Vestiaire Collective, and the experience has been disastrous. Despite successfully shipping the item to the buyer and adhering to every requirement, I have yet to receive my payment, even though the stated payment window has long since passed. To make matters worse, my multiple attempts to contact customer support—via both chat and email—have been completely ignored. Thankfully the item wasn't that expensive but this is unacceptable!!!

BUYER & SELLER BEWARE. Do not use this site, they lie, scam, bully, swap items. They delay money, find fault in items that are in perfect condition. Send incorrect photos of your item to your buyer, return designer items in the incorrect box. No customer service - instead useless online bots that take days to answer then say nothing. No accountability, lay blame with everyone but themselves. No phone line to speak to anyone. I’ve engaged a solicitor to fight my corner as VC can do no better than say “patience” and “we are looking into it”. They care neither about buyer nor seller and treat your expensive items heavy handed causing damage. I can’t warn everyone from using this scam site enough. They are the absolute worst 😡

I recently had a terrible experience with Vestiaire Collective. I bought a Cartier watch described in the website as very good condition (works perfectly) and paid 1650€ for the watch. Upon receiving the watch, I noticed that it does not work properly (operating slowly and time shown in the watch falls behind the real time). I wanted return the watch and get refunded, so I initiated the return/refund process. Based on the return/refund policy of Vestiaire Collective, the firm is mandated to further investigate items by their experts based on consumers` claims. They received the watch and sent it to me back without any further investigation on the watch. When I resent the watch twice and claimed that this is a violation to their own policies, they investigated the watch and came to the conclusion that the watch is functioning perfectly, and they sent me the watch back. I requested to receive a report demonstrating the analysis/investigation they concluded. They refused to provide me with such a report. They refused to refund me. I went to the Cartier shop to get the watch examined and identify if the watch has a defect. Upon their examination, Cartier confirmed that the watch has a defect in terms of its crown and pointer and these need to be repaired/changed so that the watch can function properly. Cartier charged me for this examination (which was necessary to identify the defect in the watch) for 470€. I provided the report on the watch I obtained from Cartier representing that the watch has a defect to Vestiarie Collective and requested to be reimbursed as I needed to pay additional 470€ on the top of 1650€ to get the watch repaired. Vestiaire Collective stated that the watch was examined by their experts and they concluded that the watch was functioning perfectly, and refused to reimburse my expenses. TO SUMMERIZE, VESTIAIRE COLLECTIVE SELLS HIGH PRICES ITEMS WITH DEFECTS WHICH CAUSES ITEMS NOT TO BE USED PROPERLY. IN ADDITION, THEY LIE TO CONSUMERS ABOUT THE REAL CONDITION OF ITEMS THEY SELL. THEY DO NOT EXAMINE ITEMS SENT BACK TO THEM PROPERLY, THEY DO NOT PROVIDE WITH ANY REPORT/ANALYSIS OF THEIR EXAMINATION ON ITEMS, WHICH IS NOT TRANSPARENT AT ALL. THEIR EXPERTS ARE VERY INCOMPETENT. I WILL NEVER EVER PURCHASE AT VESTIAIRE COLLECTIVE AGAIN.

Vestiaire must be the worst platform ever, their authentication service is hit and miss, twice they have claimed pulls in items, I wanted the items back, there were no pulls, one of their drones possibly must meet her quota of rejections, it is even worse with direct shipping as the people seem to use it as a borrow service, then once they have worn the item out claim not as described and return it, they have 72 hours to to claim not as described, then another week to return, brilliant way to "borrow" items. The height of it all is a very distinctive dress I sold and that was returned - it was a one off couture model, I bought it at a fashion show from the runway, a friend alerted me that an "influencer" has the same dress, and guess what, it is the person who bought (or should I say borrowed) the dress, it is all over her feed and she wears it to a party where she dances (explains why my clean dress came back stinking of sweat and perfume) I contacted Vestiaire immediately with the evidence, there is nothing they can do, they don't even stop her from doing it to others. When finally a sale goes through, the money is now forever pending with my bank, I contacted my bank, seems there went something wrong and Vestiaire have advised but not released the transfer, I have tried to write to them, chat, everything, they don't respond, I am waiting for over a month now. Several times I had to contact them as the wrong commission is applied, they first try to fob you off, claiming that your item is not part of it, when you show them where it claims that the brand is indeed the one where they claim you pay 0 commission (they still charge you 3%) they come back with other absurd excuses, then finally it is a bug in the system, the bug in the system exists now for over a year. There is absolutely no customer service, they just try and scam buyers and sellers alike. They are trying to force sellers to sell expensive items for next to nothing, then bombard you with "Lower your price, lower your price" just so they can make money, before I make money with Vestiaire for items I paid a lot for and sell it for Pennies, I rather burn them in the future. This shady company should be taken off the market. I am not sure how they are allowed to operate anyway, they lie, they withhold money, they break every rule, they pretend that it is all about the environment, no, it is about their pockets...

I recently had a terrible experience with this company. I made an offer with a seller for £614, which was accepted. However, when I went to pay, the price reverted to the original £682 without any explanation. I noticed this right away and contacted customer service, hoping to cancel the deal immediately before the seller processed the order. But I was told that I couldn’t cancel the order myself—I had to rely on the seller to do it, which is already a huge red flag in terms of customer rights and flexibility. As expected, the seller quickly dispatched the package, conveniently preventing any cancellation. When I then asked if I could return the item once I received it, I was told no, unless the product was not as described. Basically, everything about returns and refunds is completely controlled by the seller and the company, with no room for genuine customer concerns or errors. This entire process is incredibly unfair, and their policies leave buyers completely powerless. I would strongly advise against buying from this website. It's a frustrating experience with no regard for customer satisfaction or basic fairness. Avoid at all costs!

They are ABSOLUTE LIARS, on the site where they say the brands where they charge the seller only 3% is Valentino Garavani, however they didn't honour that with my sale and charged me a much higher commission. When I sent them a screenshot showing that it is listed on among the brands, they simply lie about it and claim it isn't, it is on their own website! Do not trust them, they promise to take only 3% for certain brands but then don't honour it. It is there in black and white: https://www.vestiairecollective.com/journal/uk-monetization-offer-eligible-brands/ I even sent them a screenshot of it and those scammers deny it!

Vestiaire is a scam. The steal items from the ‘hub’ where they supposedly ‘quality checking’. I had an agreement with a seller that I was buy 2 shirts for the price of 1. So she advertised one and put 2 in the package. I then only recieved one of the shirts. And they didn’t even return the other one to sender. They thought they had the right to keep it. WHATS EVEN MORE ANNOYING When I asked why this had happened, they kept lying to me in so many ways, giving 5 different excuses all of which relieved them of any wrongdoing but blaming everyone else involved. First they blamed me saying I was lying, which I wasn’t, and then they apologised and blamed the seller saying she was lying, which she wasn’t I had been talking to the seller and she had no reason to lie they were just old shirts she wanted to get rid of. Lastly they blamed the delivery service saying they didn’t deliver, which is ridiculous because I recieved the package. THE ONLY PROBLEM AND ONE TO BLAME IS VESTIARE FOR KEEPING THE SHIRT! And then having the cheek to blame everyone else Absolute scammers Awful service 2nd time out of 3 purchases that I have had a terrible experience

I purchased a leather jacket and when I received it, it was dark green not black as image portrayed and NOT described in the listing. When I complained Vestiaire agreed and advised me to ship it back to thrn8 and I'd receive a full refund in 48 hrs. I waited 6 working days and heard nothing. Contacted Vestiaire and was told the jacket matched the description and they relisted it on my account. I checked the description on my account and it has been updated to DARK GREEN by Vestiaire but they are refusing to refund me as initially advised. I have since received an offer of half what I purchased it for...still waiting for Vestiaire to respond to my dispute with them. First time using this site and it will be my last. As soon as this is dealt with one way or another I am closing the account! Absolute scammers!

Hello, I’m writing about a truly disturbing situation that happened lately and I think it reflects how badly Vestiaire handles customer care. I sold a bag, YSL envelope medium, see photo attached, and today it was cancelled by the buyer. Upon reviewing the photos where she claims the bag has faults I don’t see proof of her claims. You can see it for yourself . This is the second time cancellation happened to me, and in the first case it was a similar situation (different item), none of the claimed “damages” were there. It was only luck that I sold that dress to someone in a short time and interestingly the second buyer was absolutely satisfied with the condition. Additionally, I’d like to point out that this bag is €2400 in stores at the moment, which makes the €1850 (out of which a considerable amount is commission…) a steal. I stated the bag as “never worn” because it was never used outside of the home and comes with bag, box and all the certificates. I am deeply disappointed that you don’t pay more attention to users, whether they are sellers or buyers. The app has glitches, I was logged out and wasn’t able to log back in while I was on the chat regarding another listing of mine. And I want to take the opportunity to mention another terrible experience with customer support. I sold and sent a CHLOE cashmere beanie in September, 11.09 was the day when I placed the package at dpd’s pickup location. Even though there’s a tracking number for the package, I’m not able to get any information on the whereabouts of this package and Vestiaire refuses to help as you claim I need to show the slip I was given by the shop assistant at the time of the sending. This is ridiculous. You either contact Dpd and sort this out or refund me and the buyer as well. The commission you take is high enough that we, users rightfully deserve a better care.

I have sold Dolce&Gabbana men’s coat, size 50. providing pictures of the label and tag. Providing measurements. My sale got cancelled. Quality control team has measured the coat in inches and stated that these measurements are in cm. While you can even see in the photo provided, that measurement is in inches, not cm. They said that the actual size of the coat is 44, while all labels are showing 50. And that shoulder length is 20cm, when it’s 20 inches. 20cm is child’s length, not men’s. My £500 sale got cancelled. Customer service did not apologise, ignored all the proof provided and did not escalate the case to management as requested. This case is outrageous. Don’t trust quality control there and don’t rely on customer service.

Extremely poor customer service and customer experience. Their number one priority is keeping your money. It’s a big risk to shop here, if you’re lucky, it will go smooth but if you buy something from a deceitful seller- you’re out of luck and VC will NOT help. They give you a run around, will lie to you, disconnect the chat and try to wear you down with extremely long wait times. It’s a headache and really not worth it. Find an honest retailer and save yourself from the nightmare that is VC

A professional seller has stolen my pictures and uses them, I had to send Vestiaire the original pictures, pictures of the background I use, this has been going on for almost a month and they do NOTHING. In fact they sent me a mail and claim that the item has been removed from sale - A TOTAL LIE by the Vestiaire customer service, as the item is still up, even with the comments that I left under the item to request the removal of my pictures. Are they actually doing something or are they just lying to people? This is outrageous. The seller has the item still up: https://www.vestiairecollective.com/women-shoes/sandals/bottega-veneta/navy-patent-leather-bottega-veneta-sandals-47896573.shtml My comments are still underneath, to be lied like that, it does remove all trust! The chat service is useless, if you email them they give you the runaround and then lie to you
