I’m certain the Saint Laurent coat purchased was counterfeit. What passes for “very good” condition is a joke. No returns. Buyer beware indeed.

Sellers, don't risk it! Their direct shipping method is rife with frauds, I sold an item that was really expensive and worn ONCE quite cheaply, the buyer decided to report an issue, I requested several times from Vestiaire to get to know what the issue is, as it would not be the 1st time that somebody claims there is an issue because in reality it doesn't fit or they figured they can't afford it. The mail via their website don't go through (excellent customer service and upkeep of the webpage) so of course I don't get a reply, so I will have to try and talk with their webchat, which is a total and utter nightmare. This scam company should really be taken to task, they have no customer service!

I didn’t get paid for the item that was noted as delivered in the shipment status. Now Vestaire claims that it was not delivered and the item got lost. They are “looking into it” for more than 3 weeks now! The boots were never worn! I want my boots back or my money!

It has become absurd, a buyer can claim an item is not as described, send pictures without a stain but claiming there is a stain, they can return, despite the fact there was no stain in the picture, they even get 7 days to return, so that gives them time to wear the dress to the event they "borrowed" it for. If you google the names (they tend to be from Nigeria) and the addresses seem to be rather dodgy, not where you would expect an expensive item would go to, twice I got something else back and Vestiaire is not interested. I guess they need a new scam as the "Prince is trying to get money to you, please give us all your information" doesn't work anymore

There was a problem with delivery, however the item was then delivered the next day to the buyer, which is clearly visible through the tracking, however in the meantime Vestiaire cancelled the order, claiming the item will be returned to me. I told them the item wasn't returned to me but delivered to the buyer the next day, I would like my money. Now those idiots at customer service tell me that the buyer doesn't respond to them, of course not, Michaela Boden in Blackpool wants to keep the dress for free since Vestiaire have refunded her, so she is dodging their emails and calls. Their reply is the same round about BS, about letting them know! WHERE IS MY MONEY VESTAIRE, I sent the item, it was delivered, you made the mistake, pay me!

I sold an item and shipped the Jimmy Choo boots the same day, the item was apparently lost by the carrier, I kept sending them all the info, now over a month later on the 30th of September they finally confirmed the carrier lost them. Since then they promise me that I will get paid within 24 hours, so far 3 days have gone and I have not been paid. Seems 24 hours with Vestiaire are different than 24 hours, every day when I check my account the date changes but it is still "You are going to be paid within 24 hours" - that was promised on the 30th of September, the 1st of October, the 2nd of October and now the 3rd of October. This is absurd

Bought an item with awful smell, contacted customer service. Initially Vestiaire said they would issue return, but they did not issue me a refund and simply listed the item. Very disappointed. Just lost money for no reason.

I had a very unpleasant experience. A friend suggested me to buy a bag from them. I paid it and in a short time my account was suspended and I could no longer access anything

Hi I am a seller at VC but I got deactivated because apparently I don't sell Louis Vuitton or Chanel. Is that what your policy is when sellers come onboard? You de-activate them? I never heard of a platform that deactivates and blames sellers for not selling enough. What kind of a company are you? I have been selling on Vestiaire Collective for 3 years, all of a sudden I get an email from them saying that I barely sell and to knock on their door when I have Louis Vuitton or Chanel to sell? If I am not selling enough that's because your marketing team is not bringing enough traffic to your site. Ebay, Amazon, Poshmark, Grailed, Vinted I have been selling with them for years, not once have they deactivated my account because I don't "sell enough". All these platforms Ive mentioned above work with the sellers in order to be successful in selling. All Vestiaire Collective did was degrade me as a seller and blame me. Are you kidding me? On top on that you claim you are all for the environment and you stopped selling pre-owned items from Zara and H&M because they do alot of waste...... How ironic? You allow sellers to sell Louis Vuitton and Chanel but does everyone know that these high end luxury companies burn all their previous stock so no one like TJ Maxx or sellers can have any discount access to them? These high end luxury companies burn all their inventory, is that good for climate change then????

I will never use Vestiaire again - consistently the worst customer service. Both Vestiaire and sellers only look out for the seller rating not to be affected, if you ask to cancel an item within a few hours of order as the listing is misrepresented - you are on your own. The seller won't cancel as it affects nor the customer service will cancel. So, even if I am able to return the item for free as it's a professional seller, noone will help, they rather go through shipping the item, then having it returned --> I will never shop and Vestiaire lost a customer that spends thousands.

I was planning to buy an item with Vestiaire, but their sub-charges for delivery to the US were totally enormous, even VAT on 2nd hand goods, I did a reverse search and found the same item on eBay (I assume the same seller) much cheaper, even the delivery charge is less than half the price of what Vestiaire demands, I don't have to go through their annoying and frankly absolutely useless verification and pay for it, in short on eBay I paid $7 sales tax, no import duty as it is a preloved item, $25 for shipping, on Vestiaire I would have paid $245.68 for the same item that I bought for $131.43 on eBay. ALWAYS use reverse Google search of the pictures and skip Vestiaire whenever you can as they are not honest with the import duties and overcharge massively, unlike Vestiaire, eBay actually also has a real customer service you can reach.

VC customer service is a JOKE. I ordered 2 pairs of shoes. They arrived at a pick up locker 300 meters from my home. I see in VC app that they’re there, but I don’t receive any code for the locker. VC notices that there’s no my information in the parcel, no phone number, address, email, name - NO INFORMATION So they can’t send me the code from the postal service without information and VC for some reason can’t add it. The shoes are already going back. THE NEXT WEEK the second pair of shoes arrived WITH THE SAME ISSUE I’m emailing VC for almost 2 months now, they just changed my email on the platform???? THAT’S IT!! No one is answering my questions on the app or email. Just today couple of hours ago I messaged them on the app about my order since the app shows me that it HAS BEEN DELIVERED??? Couple of hours and no answer they’re just ignoring me?? They have around 300 euros of my money there and they’re not refunding them even though I have over 20 emails in the span of 2 months about this order that I haven’t received.. I’m actually thinking if I should get some legal advice? Is this even legal? 2 months keeping my money and ignoring?

I've just listed a Cartier C De Cartier bag that I bought my wife for Xmas a few years ago. With it I have the original receipt from Cartier and a delivery note from selfridges, a stamped Certificate of authenticity from Cartier, the dust bag, and the original box. All details were sent over and today they advised they couldn't list it as they couldnt confirm the authenticity. What complete nonsense, I have even sold a Louis Vuitton bag in the past on the site. I'm pleased they have a poor rating on here as the service is the worse I've seen in a long time. Don't waste your time with them and go elsewhere. I tried their online chat and afte querying their decision they just ignored me and closed the chat. This is as a seller, I would never buy from them with this service,, and all the poor reviews co firm this

My payment should have arrived last week, still not here, I am trying to write to them and I am supposed to get a confirmation email, tried 3 times now, no confirmation email, as usual their horrible software doesn't work. I honestly can't deal with their chat as they are absolutely horrible, leave you hanging for hours, don't know what is going on, give copy and paste replies and then disappear again. Since I have 2 more sales where I am waiting for my money, I am now seriously getting worried, especially since they are not reachable, I went through their stupid webform, NO CONFIRMATION, you can't email them directly, they have no phone lines.... A web based business that can't even keep their IT up to date so you can actually reach them?????

Hmmm, I had complained before due to the poor service and again I am having an issue. I purchased an item from the platform All confirmed and I was happy. Then the order was cancelled for no reason. I checked and the seller never cancelled, I checked my payment and this was all approved, I therefore contacted customer services and it appears they favoured another transaction and cancelled mine!! That should not be allowed when an order is confirmed!! The seller was unaware this was Vestiaire !! Very disappointing

A Masterclass in Customer Service (Not) is what Vestaire Collective Team is all about I just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the unique experience I've had with their customer service. It's truly impressive how they managed to turn a simple query into an elaborate game of hide-and-seek! First, let me address their customer service representatives. I must commend their uncanny ability to vanish into thin air when faced with a question they can’t answer. It’s like they have a superpower! One moment you’re discussing an issue, and the next, poof! They’ve disappeared, leaving me to wonder if they’ve been abducted by aliens or simply decided to go on an extended vacation. Bravo! Their secret to success whenever there's things that they can’t handle or resolves. Disappear! It’s a brilliant strategy I must say ,to just ignore the seller altogether, hoping they’ll forget about the problem as if it were a bad dream. I mean, who needs resolution when you can just procrastinate indefinitely? It’s a refreshing approach, really. Why face the music when you can dance around it instead? But the pièce de résistance has to be the new customer service representatives they will send in to “take over” a case. They arrive on the scene like fresh recruits in a war zone, blissfully unaware of the chaos left behind by their predecessors. And just when you think they might actually solve something, they too mysteriously disappear, leaving me to wonder if it’s a rite of passage in their company culture. And let’s not forget the grand finale! The moment my issue is resolved (because, of course, it magically solves itself), their team suddenly appears like a genie emerging from a lamp, all smiles and sweetness. It’s as if you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to shower me with kindness, but honestly, it feels a bit too rehearsed—like a bad sitcom. In conclusion, I just wanted to say thank you for this unforgettable experience. Who knew customer service could be such a delightful blend of neglect, and a sprinkle of false charm? I’ll be sure to recommend Vestaire Collective to all my friends, if only for the entertainment value.

I have sold tremendous amounts on Vestiaire and I have as well purchased items. Yet this time I was very surprised with their unfriendly and unforgettable manner. Please be aware of how much commission they claim and get while selling the items that , you in the end, basically give away for even lower price than you actually wanted from the beginning. I sold a pair of sunglasses (0kr commission), to a client who never picked up the item. Since she never picked up the item, it was returned to me. UPS now charges me with the custom fee. Vestaire refuse to help me out and basically says that I could relist the item!? But it’s for free and you keep all the commission! This is not service! This is scam and honestly I’m giving away the item for free and they want me to pay for the shipment because a client refuse to pick it up!? I leave it for you to think for yourself if this is logical or not! I will never ever buy/sell from Vestaire again and straight go to the competitors on the market! Very very bad and unfriendly!

VC charges way too much compared to other platforms. Especially since Brexit their algorithm is pushing for customers around the world so it's not really sustainable to ship thousands miles away plus being charged ton of fees. What's worse however is that they use Fedex and don't give you an option to choose the shipping company. Fedex does not have a drop off point in central London. Am I supposed to travel 45 mins and pay for a commute to send a bag and make a 100 for a bag that should be worth 170 at least...With all the extra charges and VC continuously driving prices down it's not worth it. Plus they still live in ice age. Who has a printer at home to print a label, just use a QR code and print on location before sending. Not practical at all, not worth it.
