I sold a dress from the brand Marchesa, Marchesa does give the sizes in US so I gave the correct sizing and the measurements, the buyer needed it for an event and tried to get me to send the item with a different label, which I refused but I sent it straight away and tracking showed that it arrived on the day she needed it. Vestiaire confirmed that the sizing is correct, however they let this "person" return the dress to me, the dress that was returned was worn quite heavily with stains all over. How come they allow a person to return a dress, despite the sizing being correct? They told me the sizing was indeed correct on the 19th, on the 21st they cancel the sale and it impacts my account? For them the issue is closed and I can't get back to them. I can't believe this, a dress worth a lot of money has been totally ruined (we are talking red wine stains, torn crystal embellishments. Their "expert team" did not know about the sizing, despite me providing links to the webpage with their sizing, then finally figured out that it corresponds to the listing, confirms it, then lets the scammer return with the promise to list it on their account, then they know nothing about their promise?

I was scammed $55,000 on March 2024 while on June 2024 I found a crypto scam recovery expert on the internet, so I contacted him via his email and he required me to send all the details of the fake crypto company that scammed me including proofs of payment I made to the crypto scam company and I sent all informations he needed accurately and after some hours the recovery expert got back to me via mail explaining to me that I will only pay for the recovery service charge after my scammed crypto funds are recovered for me successfully and transferred to my own bank account that I will have to pay  $1050 for TPM upgrade software fee used for upgrading my  trading account to the TPM Account which after this i can initiate my  withdrawal and I was  also able to see the profits which the scam company was hiding from me, then I paid the $1050 for the TPM upgrade and in 48 hours my scammed  $55,000 was transferred to my bank account successfully. Vestiaire Collective is now a sinking ship. What was once a promising initiative is now a dying dinosaur. The not so smart introduction of the buyer fee last year which keeps inflating and constant changes to terms & conditions have exasperated an already critical situation. For more than 3 years I have been buying and selling on VC and from both perspectives it has been nothing other than a deplorable experience! To stay I have almost had a mental breakdown while doing so due to the lack of any corporate values and direction, proper service and support from trained professionals is an understatement. To be at the mercy of their amateur authentication team is a frightening experience they should be renamed business prevention team as they make constant errors which result in lost sales. To retain Expert Seller status even after making 150 sales you must sell at least 5 items every 6 months to retain it. This is currently an impossible task given that nobody completes their purchase now that buying fees and currency conversion fees are so high. It has depleted all International sales from US and Australia which were previously the biggest consumers now totally wiped out. Both buyers and sellers are angry at prices over inflated due to added extras. The only ones making money are now VC and they do very little to facilitate sales which surely is the point of this platform. Is there any end to this greed which is effectively sinking the ship. What is the end game plan here.... Trying to engage and offer feedback to senior management is a waste of time they are not interested and despite promises make no improvements. They are just hanging in there for PR purposes and just want to look good and get money from investors in the hope of eventually cashing out. To add insult to injury you are slating high street brands in your latest campaign, is this to make yourselves look better! Very poor etiquette considering you have created a massive vacuum in fashion resale where items take many years to sell and are stuck in what is like a Bermuda Triangle of fashion. Perhaps take a look in the mirror VC - do you really like what you see? Is your ego so big and are your values so narcissistic that you continue to be tone deaf?

A very very bad experience. Even 2-3 years ago it was a good service. Today it’s just a shame. Very high fees for both the buyer and the seller. They mark authentic things as fake and fake ones as authentic. This is a shame. You just have to stop both selling and buying. And if you buy, then only without authentication by their “professional team”😂

Absurd, I haven't used it for a couple of months after a bad experience, today I get an email that if I don't log in within 30 days they will delete my account and offered me a €20 Voucher, decided to have a look around and maybe buy something, but when I tried to log in, I couldn't as they had deactivated my account..... 30 days? Really? And obviously no way to reach them....

Terrible, incompetent ‘customer service’. I had to sort everything out myself and mediate between the seller and Vestiaire as the buyer…. Why this would ever be the case I have no idea. The support person would leave me on delivered for ages until I’d send a follow up message. Just all round appalling and rude, I wouldn’t recommend.

Vestiare collective is the WORST place to sell and buy. Their fees are REALLY high. They charge both the seller and buyer a high fee. What comes to listing items they are completely useless. They "authenticate" authentic items as "fake" saying you did not provide enough "proof" although you took pictures of every label and even button. They let buyer return USED shoes and will give buyer full refund. Claiming that they "were already used" although they were sent brand new to the buyer. Don't ever send yours good to their "quality control". I had a pair of Gucci jeans returned by them and sale cancelled because "they found a small 1mm 'dot' on them". I could continue and continue they are just terrible.

Direct shipping - the buyer changed the mind and didn't pick up, the buyer is also lying and claims that she couldn't have delivered it to her office. Oddly enough VC sees nothing wrong with that as the parcel eventually got delivered back to me....

Decided to sell a dress I had worn once and was hanging in my closet for 3 years, not an expensive dress, one of the highstreet brands Vestiaire accepts, they immediately suspended my account... Seriously, after 3 years they expect me to keep a receipt for a dress that is not even designer? This is totally absurd!

Vestiaire Collective charges high fees to buyers and sellers by stating they have a team of professionals doing "Quality Control & Authentication". I will relate my experience and you can draw your own conclusions. I recently sold a 12,000 euro bracelet, with its original invoice and certificate. VC's Quality Control did not approve it because the "expert" could not read the invoice in English and got confused because there were two items listed in the same invoice. This the explanation I was given by Customer Service, I have written ptroof of this statement I make. The sale was cancelled, my 12,000 euro bracelet is still with them and their Customer Service chat is the worst I have ever experienced. After waiting 24 hours for a response, I got a standard message explaining that the "expert" got confused when looking at the invoice because there were two items in the invoice, and this is why the sale was ultimately cancelled. I hope this review can help others. I am just wondering, if the "expert" cannot read an invoice in English, can we really trust 100% that they are able to authenticate luxury items, in some cases worth several thousand euros? And if you have a problem, good luck getting an issue resolved with their Customer Service! Very disappointing experience...

Unfortunately had an extremely bad customer experience, therefore NOT RECOMMENDED!!!! What happened: My parcel came from Asia, which is why I had to pay around €275 in import taxes. So far so good. The parcel could not be delivered, which I did not know because the FEDEX status was not updated correctly. My parcel then arrived at the Vestaire ‘hub’ in France without prior notice and without my knowledge. So a) it will be sent there as the next step b) it has arrived there - I didn't find out. The FEDEX status was still: ‘Delayed, will be delivered soon’, although it had long since arrived at the hub. Let's move on: As the parcel had been there for 3-4 weeks, it was now offered for resale without my knowledge and without my consent. My paid handbag and therefore my property was offered for sale without my authorisation. As I had received purchase enquiries in the app, I quickly deleted the advert. Again, no information from customer service. Unbelievable. Naturally, I was worried about where my parcel was and why my handbag was suddenly for sale. So I proactively contacted Vestaire customer service and only then did I find out for the first time that my parcel had been in their hub in France for a few weeks. I would have liked to have received this information proactively rather than having to ask for it. Next: They offer to send the parcel to me immediately. Of course I accept. Upon delivery, FEDEX surprisingly demands import taxes again (around €205). I refuse, as I had already paid them when I bought the parcel a month earlier (when Vestaire calculated an interesting €275). So I contacted customer service, who assured me that it was an oversight and that I would of course be refunded the taxes. I just had to submit the receipt after payment. And I have to pay, there's no other way to get my parcel. I then submit the receipt for the recalculated import taxes, but of course I never see any of my money. Reason: My Satus would have changed from buyer to seller in the meantime, as the bag was finally offered for sale (without my authorisation). The fact that this happened without my knowledge and consent is consistently not addressed. Only consolations along the lines of ‘we can understand that this must feel frustrating for you’. INCREDIBLE. End of the story: I am stuck with the costs because Vestaire 1) does not honour the employee's promise of a refund, which I have in black and white 2) finds it acceptable to offer my property, i.e. the handbag, for sale without authorisation (and this changes ‘my status’ to seller) 3) does not consider transparent communication about the status of my shipment etc. necessary 4) cannot explain to me why one-off import duties should be paid twice by me Never had such a bad experience. The problem always lies with the customer, the company makes excuses wherever possible or writes about my supposed feelings instead of addressing the facts. FINGER AWAY !!!!!

O sold them my Prada bag which was in pretty good condition for 430e. They informed me the sale is cancelled because it is heavily damaged. And they posted the pic of the same type of bag but with the details that I couldn't recognize and with the holes in the lining. My mistake tho is that I didn't take a lot of pictures of the lining but anyway I have the photos of the outside of the bag.I told them I will press the charges against them if it's not the same bag. They blocked the chat with me. Now I am expecting my order back and I am deeply traumatized about everything.I know it is not my bag or they somewhat damage it or the buyer did it or replaced it with the same style older bag .

I RECEIVED AN EMPTY PARCEL AND VESTIAIRE COLLECTIVE WAS UNWILLING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND REFUSE TO ISSUE ME A REFUND!! I ordered a bag on Sept 28 and according to the VC app the item was shipped by the seller on October 1st. when I tried to track the parcel days later using the DHL tracking provided by VC the tracking number kept saying invalid. When I finally received the package on October 8 it was completely empty!!!! No bag inside, just a bunch of paper and tissue!! After back and forth emails with VC for about a month, they finally concluded that DHL was not responsible for the empty parcel since I signed for it and DID NOT OPEN THE PACKAGE IN FRONT OF THE DELIVERY PERSONNEL!!! WTF?!?! First of all, DHL left the package with the security guard so I didn’t sign for it, secondly, WHO THE HELL OPENS THEIR PACKAGES IN FRONT OF THE DELIVERY GUYS? So ridiculous!!! VC is basically accusing me of lying about the empty parcel and that it’s my fault. After a month of back and forth emails and waiting for an answer they are not giving me a refund, they are not taking any responsibility. Absolute SCAM! So I’m out of about 400€ and with no bag. ABSURD! They didn’t even offer a store credit or ANYTHING at all! WORST EXPERIENCE and CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!

Good afternoon since three years I fell and I was Vestiare Collective like a seller. I never had problems with nobody like a buyer is horrible. They are big liar. They accept people to post picture how they don’t below to the actual item recently, I buy one bracelet Chanel by the picture on the Vestiare Collective was from my necklace when I received the bracelet was that identification I noticed that bracelet doesn’t have stamp and she don’t have the quality of the Chanell item. I bring the bracelet to the Chanel boutique and they tell me Never this model doesn’t vas made and never exists , there was agreed to take back to check again the item, and after five days they say the original and completely compliant, and they will be released under my name and when they get sell they will refund me less commission I send a message to send me back the item because I want to send to the properly identification. They blocked me everywhere. They blocked me in the chat. They blocked me in the mail and they said they were done. Send me back item., this is a fraud , I tried to speak with the previous seller of this item and he said it’s private sale from the Chanell since then Vestiare does does it accept private sale or a gift why they insist this item its authentic I don’t understand that. I only want my item back to send them to properly authenticator or somebody answer me in the chat horrible customer service.,

Horrible! I've only been on a few weeks and have already gotten 5 offers on items and not one has paid. It's really ridiculous all they want it seems so s to keep lowering your prices and even if you do that still no payments. I'm closing out my account more frustrating than it's worth.

I am(now was) a seller on Vestiaire. I was sold fake items on Vestiaire, under the impression I was protected by their authentication system. When I was unsatisfied with how the items fit on me, I decided to list them. All four items I decided to list did not pass the listing guidelines when I explicitly took not only more photos than what the seller sold me did, but more detail in my pictures as well. Since then, I have a stain on my listing record that they refuse to take away because I, verbatim per them, “should’ve known better.” That’s how they talk to their clients. So I tried sending back my goods to be authenticated and to my surprise, they all passed. WRONG. So I went to list them again. So now the same pictures as before but including a picture with their Vestiaire authentication tag, it STILL failed. I got them on a recorded line stating this after I asked them, “so Vestiaire has members that authenticated the same item while other deemed it to be inauthentic is what you’re telling me?” The verbatim reply was “yes that seems to be so.” I can’t make this up people. Do not shop with these unprofessional frauds. They don’t care about your well-being. Trust me, this is coming from a seller myself whom has a ‘fashion activist’ badge as well as the ‘trusted seller’ badge for Vestiaire. Vestiaire is the worst selling platform on the market. I would rather sell on Ebay. Please please please do not invest your money into this place and if you do, don’t EVER become a seller here. Their guidelines are counter-intuitive amongst themselves. My account has been perma-banned because I hit my max number of refused listings due to the attempts of fake goods I tried to list. Not in my control for one, and for two, I was under the impression as a newer member at the time that what I was sold was real. Please beware. I’ve been drained of all my energy talking to different team members every day, with each new person not knowing the status of what has been happening prior to them ‘consulting’ with me. Oh and the Vestiaire chat member will have the nerve, the bold audacity to reach out to me EVERY TIME AT 3 IN THE MORNING. Like I’m going to be up at that time EVERY DAY. Get lost Vestaire. You just lost a vital member of this community and I hope the inevitable downfall of this platform happens sooner rather than later.

This company is a total farce and if I could give them a zero I would. I sent them a rose gold BVLGARI necklace and a pair of GUCCI trainers to sell (both brand new) and they sold really quickly within a week. Then VC decided that they couldn't authenticate my items so they are going to destroy them. The customer service is terrible and they owe me £1000 for the items they are going to destroy!!! Have reported them to trading standards, watchdog and the financial ombudsmen. Next step is solicitors!! Do not trust them.
