Really sorry to complain but over the last couple of years 3 times my instructions haven't been carried out by the delivery agent the most recent being yesterday when my parcel was left on my front doorstep in full view of passers by despite me having confirmed email to say it would be delivered to my chosen neighbour as I wouldn't be at home. The help line was very good and has reassured me that this won't happen again.

On Monday 24th March I requested a change of delivery date to Saturday 29th March. Through the Yodel app, I received a message on Friday 28th March that the parcel was at the delivery depot and will be added to the next available driver's route. I was genuinely thinking this would happen soon and I would receive a notification with the delivery times Saturday morning. As our neighbours are away (so they can't take delivery currently) and we had instances of packages disappearing, I was waiting at home. The weather was beautiful, I cancelled a meeting with friends to ensure I'm home when the package arrived. I waited THE WHOLE DAY and nothing. This morning I contacted Yodel, but their agents are useless and all they can say is "your package has been assigned to a driver and you will just have to wait for then to send you the delivery window" which is clearly untrue. First of all, I've checked back on the Yodel app and the message is still the following "your parcel is at the delivery depot and will be added to the next available driver's route". Secondly, I work with delivery companies and know that the delivery schedule for this week is normally done the previous week Friday or this week Monday, worst case scenario, on the last working day (Friday) for the weekend. It is very unlikely that a package which is not on the schedule is delivered on a given week. So it's either the Yodel agent lying and my package will not be delivered or they don't update the app properly on the Friday for the weekend. So either way, they keep the customer in the dark. I'm very disappointed and sad as part of the delivery is a birthday present for Monday.

I cannot fault the drivers but the customer service team are dreadful - I have two addresses in my account but when labels are being printed they are mixing up the postcodes - some drivers have struggled to find me which delays them whilst they search for where my address actually is. Just had a long live chat and when it was obvious the operator was unable to edit the postcode in their system, he just cut me off the chat.

Received my parcel today from LTS. Again the Yodel Delivery Driver put parcel over our gate onto drive. Luckily I was in otherwise my parcel could have been stolen. Not acceptable. The driver told me he had no ID to enter our drive. I have never heard this before. Not very happy.

So I ordered from george asda and yodel was supposed to deliver my order on the 16th of January so they say that they need more information of my house address so they didn't deliver it on the delivery date and tried to phone them but only speaking to a robot lady and not a real human people and managed to deliver it on the 17th of January it a rubbish service they need to sort there systems company or they need to closed the company service down will never use them again at all

Package was delivered on time but the email said it was delivered to a safe place outbuilding…that’s a lie..it was left at my front door in full view of anyone passing by..I live on a busy main road.

My parcels were left in the foyer of my block of flats which is not a SAFE PLACE. Despite asking all my neighbours and searching everywhere I have been unable to find them and have never received them. The tracking numbers are JJD0002232071806229 and JJD0002232008403031.

You really need to get your delivery team in order. Once again, my package was left out front, in full view of the road and only a few meters from the pavement. Previously the parcel was damp but intact. This time it had been opened. My two dishes were unopened, underneath the slimy ice packs which I assumed proved to be a deterrent. My designated safe place is clearly stated on the label, but once again it has been ignored. I also left a post-it note on my front door to alert the deliverer, to no avail. What does it take to get delivery personnel to follow directions?

I have used yodel in alot of my transactions because I do vinted, to my surprise the customer sent a message to say the parcel was left on her doorstep ripped right down the middle of the package. So wasn't very pleased.

I live in Bude Cornwall, and when I tracked my order I found it had been sent to a depot in Truro which is 62 miles south from here. So, I then expected it to be sent back up in my direction, only to find it had been directed to Newton Abbot which is further away and in the opposite direction in Devon. It's five days now and I am still waiting! My verdict therefore is that 'Yodel' only offers a snails-pace delivery because mail is being sent all round the houses before they arrive at their final destination! I am going to recommend to my supplier that they seriously consider using another courier, otherwise they will only incur bad feedback!

I was not impressed with the attitude of your Yodel courier who could not be bothered to wait for me to open the front door. So as no parcel was left outside I asked him where my parcel was just as he was getting into his van to drive off. He shouted that he left it in the shed and then said you should answer your door! Well how about you wait for me to answer rather than being so insistent on finding a place to dump the parcel and then run off.

I've waited all day for a rescheduled delivery and twice the Web customer service agent told me my parcel was with a driver ,even though the tracking showed the parcel was returned to the depot after the delivery slot disappeared 30 mins into being allocated it . It is impossible for that driver to return my parcel in 11 minutes when it take 38 minutes to drive from my town to that depot at most . I'm not amused at being lied to twice

Unfortunately 0 stars isn't an option. Claimed to have tried to deliver. I was at home with poorly baby so was definitely in. Even if I was not they could have left with neighbour in small block of flats (like every other courier does), as they work from home. Sent parcel back to sender quickly. Price of item now £50 more because its no longer in the sale. Plus my daughter won't get her Christmas present in time for Christmas day. Item was ordered in late Nov in the Black Friday sales, ample time for delivery. Very very disappointed and not the first issue with this company. It's beyond me why anyone would willingly use them.

Quite simply yodel and Hermes are incapable of delivering any thing on time don't understand why any small business use them as it reflects badly on them .

Delivery slow but OK. My concern is that you cannot rely on any live chat or telephone messages about delivery dates. I was repeatedly assured by more than one person on the live chat that although the telephone message and website said that the parcel was still in the "local depot" it was "with the driver" and would be delivered that day. I made important arrangements in reliance on their assurances but it did not arrive. I was happy to pick it up from the depot myself to avoid further delay, but was told that this would not be permitted. This is not the first time I have wasted days of my time messing around with Yodel. If I had realised the seller was using them I would have sourced the item elsewhere.
