šŸ‘ŽšŸ»šŸ‘ŽšŸ»šŸ‘ŽšŸ»šŸ™ Home Rescue Emergency InsurancešŸ˜”šŸ˜”, please do not have your home insurance or any insurance with them as they have messed me up and left me in bad situations where I needed them:(my water pipe started leaking and wasnā€™t stopping even after turning the main water off, so I called home rescue for help to send out emergency plumber but no, either advised me to get my local plumber and said I can claim back later. My local plumber charged me Ā£421.80 for replacing a copper pipe. When I asked insurance to pay me that after sending them invoice, nothing? They said they will not pay me a pennyšŸ˜”šŸ‘ŽšŸ» please itā€™s worthless having emergency insurance with them if they're not going to help in need

I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from 247. They advertise as an emergency helpline but did not treat my emergency as such. Post a 5-day delay, difficulties in communication and continued lack of action, I had to find alternative resolutions incurring double costs. After following the complaints procedure, I was offered part compensation, which was insulting after the extremely difficult ordeal experienced, and they continued to be stubborn in their approach. They do not adopt fair practice and do not treat customers fairly. Absolutely no action was taken from 247 other than a failed call out on their part. I was charged for the failed attempt. The contractual terms and conditions are misleading and the 247 teams refuse to address it. I'd go to Homeserve instead.

My annually invoiced contract was coming up for renewal at the end of January and I had an email advisory from this company saying that the monthly equivalent (but annually billed) rate was going up from just over 5 pounds per month to over 14 pounds per month! So an over 2.5 times increase in premium. I had no claims and the same items of equipment i.e. no changes at all. I informed them that I would not be renewing based on this. Within a couple of days, I had a further email now saying they could do it for just over 8 pounds per month. It's like dealing with a shady used car dealership. I don't want a negotiation- I want a rock-solid reliable provider. I declined their volatile offer and canceled the renewal direct debit due in a few weeks. I then received a further email saying that my account is immediately suspended even though I have a few weeks left. So they have declined to provide a full years cover purely because I don't agree to a massive price increase and a renewal for the next year. I will certainly not be using them again and thankfully never had to lodge a claim. Now, they will respond to this post by either saying: (a) they can't identify me (i.e. this is intended to convince you, new Customer, that this is a fake review- it's not) or (b) please call us to discuss (that is intended to show you, new customer, how customer focussed they are and is not intended to offer me anything different). I guess my rating and advice on this vendor is pretty clear.

Disgraceful service. Had them install a new boiler. A few months later it became apparent the flow pipe hadnā€™t been connected properly as it was dripping (very slowly) and overtime resulted in the pressure to drop too low. When I contacted them to rectify they said that because this was more than a month after instillation they would have to charge for fixing the issue unless an engineer from the boiler company came out and confirmed it wasnā€™t an issue with the boiler itself and was in fact due to the instillation. After doing this and the boiler engineer stating on his report that the leak should be ā€œrectified by the installerā€, 247 Home care said that didnā€™t confirm that the issue was caused by the instillation only that the installer should repair! They therefore maintain that this is chargeable and will cost me about Ā£100 in call out fees. A total disgrace!

Absolutely Awful Service. We took out boiler cover and our boiler is randomly switching the heating on by itself and refusing to turn off getting really hot until we switch itself off at the mains. Rang the claim line and they decided over the phone itā€™s the diverter valve, this was a claims handler who didnā€™t have a clue what that does or how it works but that is what the screen said. They refuse to come out and diagnose the fault stating that the diverter valve is part of the heating system and therefore isnā€™t covered under the boiler cover despite being in the boiler. Even after explaining the diverter valve does not do this and is built into the boiler itself they still decided it isnā€™t covered and if I want someone to come and look I must pay Ā£95 and then pay for any further parts and labour. They seem to think that any part in the boiler either works the hot water system or the heating system so unless you get the additional cover for that as well your boiler insurance doesn't actually cover anything. They refuse to discuss this and will only say its the diverter valve and we donā€™t cover that.

Don't waste your time with these cowboys. Reported a leaking radiator and plumber attended next day. He said the pipe needs replacing & policy doesn't cover this. Got a independent plumber out who fixed the leak without replacing the whole pipe. Annoyed at 247 I raised a complaint. The next day 247 rang me to tell me that my complaint was being deadlocked because I didn't provide a invoice. I then provided an invoice and next day they rang again to tell me that complaint is again deadlocked because the email didn't have an email address. 247 rescue are rogue traders. The call centre is based abroad. The employees don't follow regulations and they make pointless excuses. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

The company is a joke ,useless policy The company is a joke ,make sure you read the terms and conditions. I have home emergency cover and had a water leak called 247 home useless rescue explained stopcock is jammed and water is leaking in the ceiling . They said we canā€™t help as in our terms and conditions we donā€™t trace the leak. What home emergency company wonā€™t stop water leaking from the ceiling due to a water pipe but this company wonā€™t help. I explained leak was bathroom they wanted photos . I told them itā€™s an emergency and they said someone will callback donā€™t know when. I rang a private company who said we can be there in 30 mins . The next day after complaining 247 home useless rescue send someone round who was useless , I should have known , the guy could see there was a leak and said itā€™s a bath seal which it wasnā€™t. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys , so whilst policy is cheap youā€™re not getting any service apart from talking to a call centre abroad. If it was a major leak that would have destroyed so much things I didnā€™t even get a sorry .I explained that it canā€™t be as the shower doesnā€™t reach that far. He then said video it and left. They want videos and photos before they even come . I have decided to get it done myself and replace the two pipes and the tap. In the terms and conditions they donā€™t fix taps even if faulty or replace them or stop cocks , they donā€™t fix leaks unless you can photo or video the leak. Appalling customer service I would give them minus 10 review. Iā€™d say stick to British Gas or yorkshire water who always came and fixed the leak without hiding behind terms and conditions in the small print . Please be careful as Christmas may for the company come early if you take a policy and they never repair anything , if you take a policy and they donā€™t deliver remember I warned you, donā€™t Donā€™t do it Donā€™t take a useless policy with them I have provided my ref ref:MS571243 so you can see this is a genuine person

Awful. Not sure how the regulator allows them to operate This is one of the cheapest providers but HANDS DOWN the worst. They never come to appointments just rearrange and rearrange. So once you have taken a day off work to be at home they cancel the night before. Over and over again. Employees in back office are based in India and have terrible customer service. Cant even lodge a complaint. They refuse to take one. Unbelievable! Avoid this company like the plague. Follow up: 7 December 2023 They finally sent an amateur "engineer". His fiddling ended up breaking the central heating system completely. They promised to send someone to rectify it within 24 hours. Noone bothered to turn up. My 83 year old mother is freezing to death. What and awful company. Having to seek out a local boiler engineer to rectify what they broke. Complaints department told me to sod off. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They told me that they could not get the part to repair my boiler so they triad selling me a new boiler for Ā£2600. I found the part on-line so have ordered it and will get it fitted when it arrives. Very poor service.

Firstly, the man came to service my boiler. He took one look at it and said he couldn't do the work because if he touched the boiler her would have to condemn it. ( boiler was supplied and fitted 3 years ago by the 24/7 team.) He left and I contacted 24/7 to get the work booked in I was informed that the engineer had said he was unable to service the boiler as I wasn't home. They sent another engineer out. He serviced the boiler. Secondly. 6 weeks later my sink had really bad leak so engineer ( the one who condemned the boiler) turned up and said that there was infected 2 leaks. Said he'd done the work and just as he was leaving he asked if the boiler had been sorted. I said they had serviced it 5 weeks prior. He went to look at the boiler and said " that's not right they needed to change the flu and a pipe it should be condemned. He left. I rang again and explained again what had happened and they booked in to do the work . I also informed them that the leaky sink was still leaking really bad now and again work was booked in . Nobody turned up .I rang and was left on hold for half an hour then told oh I don't think your booked in. Now I have a 3 year old boiler that should be condemned and a bathroom that is constantly flooding and they keep saying they will ring me back with an appointment for plumber/engineer but nothing. I'm absolutely fuming the boiler is in our granddaughters bedroom and we are tied into a 40.09 per month service contract that we can't get out of and a dodgy boiler

What an absolute joke! 930pm on Saturday water suddenly gushed out of boiler! Went on App and logged an emergency claim/call. Didnā€™t hear anything. Had to call out plumber to stop the leak. Called Sunday morning as the app still showed as no engineer allocated. I rung them up mid morning to see whatā€™s happening. They said nothing as you have to pay the excess (which I didnā€™t mind doing Ā£75). However there was nothing on the App to say that they wouldnā€™t do anything without the excess. There was nothing saying to ring them. The service isnā€™t 24/7 because they donā€™t respond 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They couldnā€™t get a plumber to come till Monday afternoon. So I have had no water or heat since late Saturday all day Sunday and most of Monday! Itā€™s not an emergency service. Donā€™t waste your money!

I had really bad experience with 247 they made me pay excess twice for the same problem. Engineer came to look at the problem didn't fix the problem problem, due to this I had to turn my boiler on and off again and again. When I got in touch with them they said I needed to log another claim and pay excess fee. They don't really care about people problem all they are doing cheap business that's all.

24x7 home rescue is the worst company Iā€™ve come across so far for home emergency cover. Every time Iā€™ve made a call for an issue Iā€™ve been asked for money upfront for one reason or the other. All theyā€™re after is your money so please stay well clear off them. Itā€™s the worst decision I made to switch my accounts over to them and am regretting it. I have 2 covers with them and Iā€™m getting 0 value for money. At the time of taking up the policies there was no mention of ā€œchargesā€ for call-outs and Iā€™m on 0 call-out charges, yet, they make up reasons to charge you. The so called ā€œfreeā€ boiler service set me back by approx Ā£250 towards some repair which I was later told by a local gas engineer shouldnā€™t have cost more than Ā£100! A total rip off! Today I called them for an issue and was told Iā€™ll have to pay Ā£75 upfront as the boiler age is >10 years. Why is this not told at the time of taking up the policy? Whatā€™s the Ā£0 call-out then? Truly disappointed and kicking myself for trusting them. Youā€™ve been warnedā€¦stay well clear!

Your engineer, enter my home, went straight to the back of my house asked me if I had a measuring tape then went on to tell me my flu, what is 3 inches to low and said heā€™s not doing a service on my boiler and would be in contact with me 10 minutes later, I got a phone call from your office or for me to buy a new boiler I told him no he said he was an information about repairs then I got an email said to repair the flue you would be Ā£250 Iā€™ve got another engineer out to fix that cost me Ā£35 Auntie told me the flie was okay I will be definitely not recommending your company to no one iā€™ve returned to British Gas who have been doing my service for five years now and have another sit there, anything to me about the flue

I have just this minute cancelled the policy . My boiler is over 6 years old. When it came to renewal, I called in to see the options . I asked if my boiler required for a replacement , what would be the processā€¦. The process was not explained at all and I was constantly being put on hold until they went to find an answer. Three phone calls after , I have found that I would have to pay a contribution of Ā£1000, and then Ā£48 a month for 120 months . In total, that is Ā£6760. An average boiler can vary between Ā£2000-Ā£3000. I have paid a whole year for absolutely no reason whatsoever . Actually a scam, I should have thought it was too good to be true because the prices are so low. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I have kept the recording of The last phone call with the sales rep and explained if it wasnā€™t cancelled then I would publish everything I have saved online with their voice recordings too. Iā€™ve run with by a lawyer friend who said that is fine to do it necessary. In summary, the payments are pointless . The total cost of Ā£6760 is not right nor fair at all. Donā€™t believe me ?ā€¦ try calling them yourselves to find what would it cost to replace the boiler and the process . Letā€™s see how you find it . Maybe this message helps one person out there that is on the fence about being with this company
