I unluckily agreed to their marketing material for Easy Pay Enrolled Transactions. I found out after I signed up, there isn't an Easy Way to pay off those transactions early. There are only 2 options: 1. Cancel the card; 2. Stop using the card. Even if you pay your statement balance, that will not pay off the Easy Pay Enrolled Transactions.

I have tried to dispute a charge on my credit card for 4 months. Between not receiving my documentation after multiple attempts, some of the representatives confirmed it was received and some of them declined, a big mess. When I request a call back from supervisor I was told that it would be within 10 business days, unbelievable . After all this time waiting and after I finally spoke with a supervisor, I was informed that my case has been closed and I would have to contact the merchant in order to solve the problem. This company is a joke and I don’t recommend to anyone. Be aware

Been a Barclays MC holder for years. In the past, issues have been resolved efficiently. Now, I'm ANGRY. Fraud was detected on 7/9. Acct was closed, card has been replaced. However, the fraudulent charges are a mystery to them. Have had multiple conversations with agents. My native language is English; the agents are not first language English speakers. I get the canned "no worries, I will take care of this". Nothing is getting done. One agent's children were screaming in the background and her dog was barking incessantly. She disconnected call. I emailed: canned response "call our centers to speak with an agent". This is a totally unprofessional customer service staff. I'm not going away, will keep after them until this is resolved. What changed, Barclays? Fix your in house issues. If you are researching a cc w/good customer service, I no longer recommend Barclay MC.

Barkley's credit cards are terrible, you end up getting blank checks sent to your mail box all the time. You call them and opt out, yet the checks keep coming, when you call customer service you get reps in the Philippines that you can't understand, they are just reading from a script. The worst credit card company out there. No customer service, no way to get resolution on anything.

Simply put the worst experience you can possibly imagine. My dad is 90 years old and recently lost his wife of 67 years. We had to send in a death certificate to get her name taken off the account which by the way five months later still has not been done. They had no problem however killing off my dad. I know, sounds stupid, sounds impossible but They did it. I got a condolence letter for my dad‘s death. Spent three hours trying to fix this and they wanted my 90-year-old father to prove he was alive by going out and getting forms filled out and pictures taken. When I asked how they could not possibly take my mother who is deceased off the account but did take my dad off the account they had no answer. They could not put him back on. So we told them to cancel the card. A month later still getting emails still getting charges even though I got a statement saying there’s no balance no credit line no anything. I have no idea who they have working for them but they must be hiring the most stupid people they can find. They are completely in capable of getting things right. I will never ever get a Barclays card again.

ZERO starts. DO NOT consider this card. All support is overseas. They do not understand English. We've had hours of time lost trying to ask questions and deal with little things but staff does not understand problems due to the language barrier. God help you if you have a lost card, have problem with a merchant, or want a lower interest rate. They read from a help screen. Supervisors and Managers not only refuse to take calls, but they also do NOT return phone call requests. We pay on time, always, and do so online directly with them. We pay excessively ABOVE minimum payment. We are financially responsible. We have high credit scores. We are not at-risk customers. We signed up for the card just to get the NFL perks which are not worth it at all given the horrific customer service. Our account is now paid off and we went to our bank for a better credit card. Significantly higher credit limit. Significantly lower interest rate. Barclays is NOT for you if you have good credit. The marketing perks simply aren't worth it. Stick with your local bank.

If I could give zero (0) stars I would. I have called this Barclays for over 2 months requesting to change my due date. This is to assist my family getting on track, due to being heavily impacted by COVID. The customer service is substandard. I have been put off so many times by the representatives who claim that a supervisor will call back, to discuss why the due cannot change at the moment. I have never had a company to tell me "you need to call a credit counseling company" just to change the due date. Run far away from these people! The folks working there need to be stocking shelves somewhere instead of dealing with people's credit cards.

This is horrible, customer service sucks they are so not understanding. I payed my account off which I didn’t open in the first place, never used the credit card and payed it to avoid any negative mark to my credit and they still charged me a monthly payment after the account was closed. When I called they claimed it’s a remaining balanced mind you the account was already closed three weeks before and paid in full. Giving me a run for my money. Stay away from them.

I have had a barclays card for ten years. I never missed a payment and always paid more than the minimum. Recently I was fortunate enough to come into some money so the first thing I did was pay off my credit cards in the interest of boosting my score and being out of debt. The day after I paid my balance they decreased my limit from 10,000 to 1,000. So they ended up hurting my score because I was being responsible. They are pure trash.

Avoid this low grade, shameless, lawless business and find a real bank that speaks good English with you. I totally agree with other negative reviews here since every one of them is a credible customer who has experienced Barclays horrible customer support and their nonstop attempts to squeeze every penny they can out of you. One of the only credit card companies which did not implement any easement for Covid-19 impacted customers!! In fact they reported accounts which were only 2 weeks late as being 30 days late. Abandon this questionable dishonest bank before they can damage your good credit.

Barclay offered to put a 24 hour hold on my account when my purse went missing. Upon finding my purse they have been unable to get my card working. After talking to representatives 6 times and each time promising that the card would work, it was still being declined. When I called today to request the card be replaced they wanted to charge me $10 to have it expedited or wait another week for my new card. I did not feel they handled the fact that something is wrong with their system appropriately after being a customer for more than 7 years, I’m done. We will be taking our business else where.

I reported a lost card and was sent a new one that would not activate. When I called, they said “we canceled a bunch of cards. I’m not sure why they sent you that one. Another is on its way. It’s been 11 business days since the second was supposedly sent. No card. I call again, and let me know I need the card immediately, as I’ll be traveling for a month. They say they’ll send me an expected card, that I will need to pay $15 to have expedited. *I* have to pay for their mess up? This is not good business practice. I’ve decided to cancel my 15+ year card and will be going to another company; simply unacceptable.

Garbage company that has 0 interest in anything other than trying to figure a way to squeeze the last cent out of you. I guess the big problems is that all banks are like this now but these jokers take it to a new level. If you want a good experience with them - plan on jacking your card to the limit and just send them a huge interest payment each month, you will be as good as gold in that scenario. Otherwise, my suggestion is find a less sleazier option which won't be hard.

DISGUSTING is not even the word! Avoid this DISGUSTING company at all costs. They have reduced our credit limit with NO notice (not even a day!), from £7k to £1k. We have been loyal customers for 20 years. We recently used our entire savings to pay the balance off this card as we were in the process of important medical treatments. We explained this to Barclaycard, but they do not care. They have no care for customers, no sympathy. If anyone speaks to a Rachel Wilson, avoid talking to her and ask to speak to another colleague, she is a TERRIBLE advisor. If we had known we would not have put this onto our credit card and would have paid for our medical treatment straight out of our savings. They have Jeopardised our health and ruined our lives. If there was a 0 they would happily get that score. Horrible Horrible Company! They have destroyed our lives.

Barclaycard now a symbol of desperation Barclaycard slashed my credit limit from 6'500 to just 250 pounds, apparently due to new government guidelines on responsible lending. However, their actions merely punish individuals for paying off their monthly balance. They operate like loan sharks; the card is an embarrassment; I've closed my account because of the stigma of having such a card would have. Ideal if you only shop at Poundland. I would certainly recommend it if you want to give the impression you're poor and can't get a valid credit card. Save yourself a lot of grief; leave well alone.

I was interested in the AAdvantage Aviator Red World Elite Mastercard, as many of the online review sites recommended Barclay very highly. SO, I go online and research, everything looks good. I called customer service and that's where things fell apart. The first customer service rep barely understood/spoke English, and became miffed when I asked to speak with a native English speaker - she disconnected/hung-up the phone right when I was in mid sentence. I called back. Got another non native English speaker. I asked to be put through to a supervisor and then waited for well over 10 minutes with no-one answering my call. In frustration, I simply hung up and began looking for reviews and complaints about Barclay online. That's when I found this and other sites with NOTHING positive to say about Barclay. To me, these are red flags. Also the reviews all over the web saying that Barclay has slashed their credit worthiness without provocation are huge red flags as well. I'm going to steer clear of this hot mess and stick with American Express.

Barclaycard don't see customers as people to be helped, they're a number on a screen - a resource to be exploited. I got into persistent debt some years back but worked hard to improve my financial situation and as a result paid off two substantial loans and had just moved onto knocking large chunks off my Barclaycard balance. Except Barclaycard never bothered to contact me to ask about any of this, and instead sent me a letter informing me that my card would be suspended for persistent debt and offering me a 'paydown' service that has actually somehow costed me more in interest this month than ever before. Barclaycard don't care that I had other financial priorities - their customer services didn't want to know - and even the fact that I'd paid a massive chunk of my balance off the month before, as per my financial plan (which they also didn't care about), wasn't enough to convince them that I had everything under control. I've used Barclaycard for years and years, I've never missed a payment nor violated any of their terms and conditions, and now they pull this? I feel utterly shafted. Now, if you're looking for a GOOD credit card provider, look no further than MBNA - they're utterly fantastic, with low interest rates and top-notch customer services - they've always done right by me.

Appalling way to treat loyal customers and their unjust decision has had a negative impact on my credit score. Like a lot of the recent feedback on here, I received an email out of the blue to say my credit limit was slashed. I was given no justification - they did infer this was down to a change in my circumstances even though my financial situation has only ever improved.

Horrible, absolutely horrible. Been a client of theirs for 11 years now and I'm not even eligible for a small car loan or a credit card. 3 years ago I applied for a credit card as I was receiving weekly posts/emails about applying for one, when I did, my application was denied for a very vague reason. Fast forward 3 years, my credit score was suddenly slashed by 90 points because of an account that was closed, care to guess who the account was with? Yup, Barclays. They had opened up an account for me without my knowledge and closed it due to inactivity as I didn't even know I had it which resulted in my score being slashed 90 points, and they didn't even acknowledge the mistake. Stay away from them.
