Have sent complaints on online form and by post to head office. Eeeks later no response. They just don’t care. Would love to leave review on their own site but can’t find out how to.”

“I recently used DHL to send a package from Canada to Brazil and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Initially, I contacted DHL to inquire about the duties and fees for the delivery, but they couldn't provide me with a clear answer. Despite this uncertainty, I decided to go ahead and send the package, which cost me 500 CAD for almost 6 lbs (super expensive). I declare the content of the package as 50 CAD, as it was nothing expensive, but very useful to the receiver.
To their credit, the package arrived in Brazil quickly. However, the issues began when I tried to pay the duties and fees owed by the receiver. Accessing the website to make the payment turned out to be an impossible task. The site redirected me to bot chats that provided incorrect phone numbers and irrelevant information. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, I couldn't find anyone who could actually help me.
After trying many channels and different phone numbers, I was able to download an app where I could chat with someone who tried to help me and I discovered that in order to pay the duties and taxes, a business account with DHL is required. As a regular customer without a business account, this made the process even more frustrating. If DHL had initially provided me clear information about the duties and fees, I would not have sent the package. Now I cannot pay the duties and taxes of the package I sent as a gift, and the receiver is waiting to receive the package, but they can only receive it if they pay the duties and taxes, which are super expensive in their currency. I was willing to pay, but the DHL system do not allow me to pay, as I don't have a business account, and they couldn't provide me this information before I start this process with them.
Overall, while the delivery speed was impressive, the lack of clear communication regarding duties and the frustrating experience with their website and customer service left me deeply disappointed. If you are not a company, do not use DHL to send packages. I hope DHL addresses these issues to improve the experience for future customers.”

“I would put 0 or negative stars if I could. I ordered from shein website. The delivery service came through DHL. Long story short. I never got my package. The day they said they delivered it I was home and was excited because it was a few days early. But they never delivered it and I never got it. I talked to the site I bought it from said Their was nothing they can do to contact DHL. N dhl told me their was nothing they can do because it says delivered so it was delivered to talk to the shipper. Lost out on a couple hundred from shein and dhl. “DHL has terrible customer service. You can't get anywhere on the automated system. I finally just got transferred to the billing department even though I didn't have a billing issue, just to talk to a live person. Our package got returned to sender even though we emailed to requested documents before the dead line on the email received. So we tried to send it again. Now it has happened again. Now it's a 24 hour deadline. There is NO automatic email response letting you know that your email with requested documents has been received. So, when you try to call DHL to see if documents have been received. I was told that they will email you back once received. That was NO HELP. :( WELL... lets hope it's before THEIR 24 hour Deadline... THE WORST... I will be asking our customer to start using a different Carrier. DHL is Terrible!!!”
“Abysmal delivery company.
Every time I order a £1000+ phone, for some reason it's shipped with DHL. Worst news ever.
First issue:
I live in a cul-de-sac street, I can see if a van is coming to my house from a quarter of a mile away. I get a message "We tried to delivery your parcel, but there was nobody home", yet there has been no delivery attempt, no van, nobody. Two days in a row and I was home both times.
This also happens for a second year in a row when I order a new phone.
Second issue:
They give you a tracking number, but the tracking only tells you "your parcel is out for delivery by end of today" and that's it. No slots, no driver tracking, this was a thing 10 years ago. Wake up DHL.
Retailers, please avoid using DHL!!”
“Terrible experience. The customer support is ass. They don't even care to read the mails. I had submitted every document that was asked for and everything was shown to be approved on their dashboard and yet I was getting mails asking me to confirm the documents, they did not even care to read my replies and always called once at some unprofessional hour of the day even though I had I mentioned my availability window in the mail. Besides due to the delay they were asking me to pay extra charges on my package because of all the above mentioned the 'free period of the package stay in their warehouse' had ended. I ultimately had to lose my cool and had to rant to their customer support which did not yield anything either. Received my package at the end but the outer packaging, which was important infact as it was a collectible, was horribly torn.
Overall had the worst shipping experience.”

I order from Amazon Germany very frequently, and 7 out of 10 of my orders that DHL is responsible for delivering never arrive. I always get a message via Amazon that my order is “Running Late”, then one to two weeks after my original original delivery date, I get a message from Amazon that my delivery is “Lost by DHL”, so I have to request a refund.
WHY is DHL so incredibly unreliable, and WHY is the management at DHL not paying attention to their extremely bad reviews by customers and companies using them for shipping NOT paying attention and working to fix the major problems they are having??? Just look at the THOUSANDS of complaints about DHL on EVERY WEBSITE containing reviews about their service. It’s absolutely ASTOUNDING how they are still in business! Perhaps the executives at DHL should be paid on performance of the company and customer satisfaction, rather than the salaries they are getting paid no matter how poorly the company is performing. That would get things in order, and fast!”
“Absolutely the worst and least dependable international shipping.
Their customer service has no idea what they are conveying. I called multiple times and got different answers every time.
Shipment sent from Greece to US before June 1st is still nowhere to be found July 16.
And now it is given to a “third party” without any information of who and no tracking.
I will never use them or accept shipments from them for my business.”
