“Went to the store in Tooting for the first time. Staff we're non existent to visitors..talking to themselves, hiding away. Could of been because it was before noon and some of them hadn't quite woken up yet? Poor staffing levels.”
“In the beginning i was really happy to buy a trolley i have searched for a long time, but after using it for 1(!!!) hour a wheel went off, the worst quality ever”
“I bought 5 pair of crew socks for my daughter on the 7th of January. She tried one of the pair, she felt it tight and uncomfortable to wear. I put the pair back in the package and went to Manchester City Centre shop to refund the socks with the original purchase receipt. I was very surprised when the sale assistant said that she cannot refund the socks as they have been tried on. I have never had any problems with returning an item in Primark before, as I am a regular customer. I asked to speak to the manager, who was unfriendly argumentative and unprofessional. He confirmed that he cannot return the item because the socks have been used. There is no indication on the receipt that the socks belong to the items that cannot be returned. The receipt states that “ we do not offer refunds or exchanges on briefs or boxers, piercing jewellery, opened or unsealed health or beauty products, gift cards or swimwear where the hygiene seal is not intact” and does not mention anything about socks. The staff who sold me the socks did not mention that I will not be allowed to return the socks if they are tried on. Does that mean that if I buy clothes from the shop and try them at home, I will not be able to return them? The changing room are closed most of the times in this shop . So, If I try them at home, I will not be able to return them as Primark staff will say that they have been used? This is very unusual as most of the shop that sell clothes allows return of items that have been tried on. Please avoid to do shopping at Primark!!!”
“Was bought a pair of cowboy boots as a gift for christmas but the person that bought it lost the receipt.
We tried to return it for an exchange but was told no you need a receipt.
Tags still on boots with primark ticket.
Bloody ridiculous they have a stupid policy so every time you buy something from primark unworn primark ticket on the boots and don't have a receipt even for an exchange is that not against the UK law to keep your money for an item you can not use”
“The employees are very rude. There is an employee in her fifties. She is very rude and ugly. When she wants to return something, she makes you feel as if you took something from her personal property.”
“Although the prices are too low, some of the products in the store are defective among which i accidently bought one and they do not accept my return even though i had the receipt blaming that i have damaged the product. horrible experience.”
“Absolutely horrible. They were not giving us internet and their WiFi wasn't letting us open our voucher. When my father went outside to open the voucher after 10 mins they cancelled our order even though I was just there. I was so frustrated. Their manager spoke to my father disrespectful and they were not very helpful in these situations especially when we were running late for something my ceremony and we had to miss that for Primark because these items were very important. Absolutely hate it and couldn't buy the items.”
“Primark is an absolute cesspit of greed and incompetence. These filthy scammers double-charged my credit card at the till, and didn’t even have the decency to acknowledge their mistake, let alone apologize. It’s beyond outrageous! They steal your money right under your nose, and then act like it’s no big deal, leaving you to fight tooth and nail just to get your own money back. Disgusting.
The sheer arrogance of this place is staggering. Not only did they refuse to compensate for the blatant theft, but they couldn’t care less about the stress and inconvenience they caused. This is pure, unapologetic greed in action. You take people’s money without consent, then make them jump through hoops to get it back? Absolutely not!!!!!!
I DEMAND THE MANAGER OF THE COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT TO ACKNOWLEDGE MY FORMAL COMPLAINT LETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Primark should be ashamed of this blatant theft and disregard for customers. This is beyond incompetence; it’s a calculated scam to squeeze as much out of customers as possible. I will be reporting these money-grabbing pigs to the authorities and making sure everyone knows how vile and dishonest they are. Steer clear of this disgraceful excuse for a business unless you want to get robbed blind.”
“Absolutely horrible return policy, I had the receipt and the tags were still on it was a week past the due date. And all I wanted to do was make an exchange and they wouldn't do it.”
“Terrible went in bath branch and found face packs priced at 5p only to be told at point of sale they 75p. “I had a horrible experience with the store in Garden City NY, I wanted to exchange an product that my daughter had already and they wouldn't give me a store credit without the gifts receipts which I thought I lost. Needless to say I wound up finding the gift receipts and they gave me a store credit any way.. horrible customer service. horrible first time experience. Will NEVER shop there again, and my 10 year old daughter left there upset and disappointed.”
“Unfortunately i am putting in a complain today. My sister recently bought me a shower sugar PS bubbles peach smoothie body scrub. As i have a ton of severe allergies i struggle to find myself a decent body scrub to use. However as i went to read the ingredients in this product i noticed there was nothing to be seen. There was a warning about not eating it and a ton of unnecessary waffle in a load of other languages, however no ingredients. I went to search for the ingredients on the web however on the official primark page of this product, there was NOTHING! Still nothing to to said about any ingredients, I looked everywhere. Surely this is illegal and severely dangerous. How can a product be produced with no list of ingredients to be found anywhere. Copied from web: If your product has two or more ingredients (including water and additives), you must list them all under the heading 'Ingredients' or a suitable heading which includes the word 'ingredients'. So unless the product has nothing in apart from sugar and water then this is completely unacceptable and possibly illegal.”
“Surprised that they will not accept a wrong size present my children got me for father's day. All they are interested in is sales sales sales. Manager at Telford was not even interested in what I had to say. What happened to customer protection rights. I am going to the ombudsman not because of how they have made children feel but for people to see them for what they are. Don't even deserve a star but that's the only way 👎👎👎”
“I wanted to return some shorts. It was about 7 days after the 28 days return time. I've been working away and simply wasn't able to get back sooner. I wanted to exchange the shorts for some others that fit better. I was refused. I would completely understand if it was December and I was trying to return a bikini but I wanted to exchange some shorts that they are still selling. The girl at the counter was so lovely but she couldn't do anything so she called her manager. Her manager arrived with her arms crossed and an 'I'm the boss around here' stinking attitude. It means nothing to them but I will never shop in this place again.”
“The receipt for my jeans had gone past the 28days by maybe 5 days. (I had a busy month and totally forgot about the jeans left sitting in a bag with tags intact) I asked could I exchange the jeans for items I picked up for the same value and I was told this could not be done. Had a similar experience with a size of a child's shirt with dunnes and they exchanged no problem.”
“Was disgusted that there was no men's changing room. There was one for women and one for any gender were is my privacy gone to I won't be back in primark again and will tell as many people to stay clear of store who are so anti male.”
“If I could put a zero star for this store, I would. The retail manager, Lexi, at the concord mills Primark was absolutely disrespectful to both me and her employees. I asked for guidance on where the shoes were, and she laughed and pointed to the exit sign. After finding the shoes, I overheard her talking disrespectfully about her employees. I specifically heard her making discriminatory remarks about a disabled coworker, and how she wished they would quit this was super disheartening to hear and i should've spoken up or said something to her. So after making my purchase, I confronted a manager named Erica about the disorderly conduct she had responded to which she told me there was nothing she could do. The store was an overall beautiful place, and the employees seemed to be doing great, but Lexi unfortunately ruined the experience and the potential for me ever coming back to this specific primark.”
“When a customer buys an item that is apparently "non refundable" they should be told that when they're paying for it instead of coming up with the excuse that loungewear like lounging around the house clothes not pants or a bikini is classed as underwear since the shorts are infact see through so im not sure whos going to be wearing them as underwear”
