“Anglian fitted secondary glazing for our bay window. They never told us that when we put our curtains back we wouldn't be able to open our windows so we had to remove our curtains leaving us with no privacy. Blinds also wouldn't work as the windows were too tall for the drop of the blinds. After a few years we asked anglian to remake them with a clear panel on top and a smaller opening window so we could have blinds. Although it was their initial error we still had to pay for the remake. They re-measured for a smaller window, and lo and after a few months when they came to fit them, they said they weren't sure it would have enough clearance so we should get the blinds fitted first and then they'd come back. We had the blinds fitted and guess what? The new windows are still 70mm too tall and we wouldn't be able to open them... so now another few month wait and no opening windows for the summer. Pure incompetence.”
“An appalling company to deal with
An appalling company to deal with. They make a lot of promises but fail to deliver. After the terrible experience that I have suffered, which involved a living space costing over 60k, I had to cancel. After threatening court action as they didn’t want to refund my money, they eventually refunded my money minus over £3k which they say were their costs. Stay well away…”

“I have been battling this company for over eight months the list of what went wrong is endless .I wrote to head office months ago ,had no reply ,no apology. I asked for my deposit back .was told no. I was accused of bringing one of their staff to tears ,and was told not to contact this person again,yet this person keeps sending me emails asking me to print drawings out of my windows. I have been told they had gone to the manufacture 3 times.Disgusting. Still no windows.”
“I don't think Anglian Windows deserve even one star. I made a deposit for a door of £300 but when it was delivered it was not the correct door. When I asked them to make the door I had specified they could not do it so I expected them to return my deposit. Instead I received a letter asking me to pay for the door (which I had never had) and if I did not pay they would take me to court. I responded by letter having already responded by emails and that was October 2021 and I still have no reply .
and no refund.

“It's been the worst ever experience. I would strongly recommend never use Anglian Windows. The conservatory was badly designed and is unbearable in the summer, even though they had guaranteed it wouldn't get hot in the summer. Furthermore they have used inappropriate cement in the roof which has meant that it has been crumbling and allowing water to leak into the house.”
“I purchased a garage door, all ok, at the same time we had our front door installed in 2013, both door and garage. Paint on door scratched off. Contacted Anglian Windows by email, explained the problem, asked for an engineer to call and inspect door. They didn't want to know as said it was out of guarantee. I will never recommend Anglian Windows to anyone again, and I am very angry, and an unhappy customer.”
“Constant problems with front door that was replaced by Anglian windows. Yesterday (Sunday) lock it became impossible to fully lock our front door, which opens directly onto a busy London street, leaving the household vulnerable and invalidating household insurance if we are burgled. No help or customer service available to speak to, all phone numbers lead you back to an online form. 24 hours later, emailed to say a technician will be in touch, now end of the working day and no contact has been made despite us stating the urgency of the problem. So we have another night of being unable to secure our home. Disgraceful!!”
“AVOID !!!! I’m a returning customer but this was an altogether opposite experience . Once you've signed in the dotted line they want nothing more to do with you ! Installers turned up 2-4 hours late all three days- complained on the first day as product was not what I ordered - complete mess left behind - countless calls & emails made but no response ! Now the demand for the balance is all they care about - I wish I’d taken note of all the negative reviews here - they are not the company they were 10 years ago !!”
“Customer service isn't the best. In fairness we didn't go ahead with the contract (looking at the reviews here maybe it is a good thing), but it was only because they couldn't provide a product the sales person offered us. Weird to begin with. We are now waiting for the refund of the deposit and its only been a month - mind you it takes 5 - 7 working days to process according to them. They are keen to take money from the customer but to give it back it is a hassle. I really hope we didn't lost almost £2k”
“The worst service I have ever experienced. If you are thinking of using Anglian windows please don't. Save yourself the stress and anxiety.
The sales man will give you the chat and once you are roped in no one cares answers your calls. I have complained to the @compliantscustomer service many times and and still nothing.
I ordered my windows in January no contact I then enquired and was told it would be end of July! When were they going to tell me??
Work on my house has stopped I'm having to extend my stay in rental accommodation at a cost. I need windows to progress and complete the job.
@Basildon office is the worst. No one answers the phone. The installation manager Steve never replies if I'm lucky he'll send a holding text on Friday afternoon to say no change then no one answers the phone.
Don't bother with the Compliants system it's not fit for purpose.
It's a disgrace and unbelievable how bad the service is.

“Terrible After Care Service, when you want to get all the problems they caused fixed. Spent £7k, (after saving for years), fitted in January, still so many problems! Just spoke to the Manager, 11th May 2022, who said, "my boss and the Senior Managers don't talk to customers, you will have to take legal action". Just want to cry!”
“Wrong lock fitted. Appointment made.to rectify. No one rang to confirm as I had been advised. On the day by 4.30 no one had called so I rang and was told someone would get back to me. At nearly 5 pm someone rang and said the engineers were over to bring and would not be here. I was told that just because I had been given a date and time frame was not a guarantee that anyone would actually come! Not sure what you would think if I wasn't in when you came and made the same excuse!! I wonder at what point they knew that they were running late and when or if they would have contacted me. The next available date is two weeks away. I have been told I will be first on the list but I'm not holding my breath!”
“Had a back door installed last year it took about 4 extra visits to get it to shut properly.
Stupidly I then had a front door fitted. 3 months later it bowed and I had to wait a couple more months for a replacement. During that time I couldn’t use it and had to use the back door so that was a fire risk only having one door working . You can’t get hold of the local depo and customer services can’t get them either. So far lost at least a weeks wage with the amount of visits I’ve waited in for. Still haven’t heard anything back from my complaint and still haven’t got a working front door as the lock won’t work properly and it can take 10 mins to get in or out. This is with the new replacement door. Please save yourselves time, pain and money and don’t touch this company with a barge pole. No one bothers to answer emails either.”
“Sash window spring broke, the windows were still within the warranty period, however because we didnt swop the warranty to us within 12 weeks of moving in Anglian didnt want to know. I asked for a quote to repair the spring and had a curt reply saying the window was obsolete and the part wasnt available. They kindly offered to supply us new windows though ??? I would have considered going to Anglian windows prior to this. But not now.”

We decided to have a conservatory built with 'Anglian Home improvements'. The salesman seemed to know what he was talking about. Don't be fooled.
After the incompetent grounds person arrived and goaned about everything. He then advised us the building would have to be piled. (This is after having 2 surveys done) I then asked 3 separate well known builders if this was necessary as it would add on thousands of pounds and delay by 3 months or longer. They all said it was rubbish.
We contacted head of Suffolk headquarters who told us this had to happen and couldn't give us a date of works. He was so vague. We decided to pull out of the build as had lost complete faith. Being pushed around from department to department. We ended up losing most of our deposit. Thousands of pounds and many tears, and was left with a massive dangerous deep trench at the back of the house which then took more money by a different tradesman to sort.
Very depressing. Please stay away and use a local company with good reviews. These big companies promise the earth and do not deliver. Dreadful.”
“What the company lack in skill they more than make up for with expanding foam and silicon. Reasonably good units installed by absolute amateurs who do the very least they consider they can get away with. Left the installation in an appalling state and still not finished to anything like an acceptable standard despite setting out in writing the many faults and recieving visits and callbacks by customer service and alternative fitter.”
