“Sales woman only interested in the commission as she was struggling for sales due to lockdown. Bad mouthed competition. Decided to ignore this and place order as we had Anglian windows in our last house, which were very good. Waited ages for delivery, order arrived and was wrong. They are obviously manufacturing on the cheap now, patio door seals letting in air, front door side panel, not fitted properly.
Contacted area service manager who sounded like he just didn't care. Will give it another couple of days then contacting trading standards.”
“It's been close to 6 months since we agreed to getting our facias and guttering done. Paid half upfront and was told 2 weeks later work should be completed in 8-12 weeks time. 28 weeks later we are still waiting and have had all our emails ignored.”
“We had our garage converted to an extra room and it soon became apparent that there was a fault with the flooring. When we lifted the vinyl we found that the layer of cement over a concrete floor had all broken up. This had been laid because on completion the installer realised that the two floor levels didn't match up. A field engineer from Anglian visited us and agreed that it should not have happened. He reported it and several weeks later we received an abrupt letter (no address, no email address, no phone number) informing us that it wasn't covered under our 10 year guarantee. I disputed this and attempted to contact them numerous times and met with a wall of silence as they ignored my communications. Eventually by writing to the CEO I got a response from someone lower down the order who sent me a blank contract where it still failed to inform me why my particular problem could not be fixed stating that brickwork and plaster only had a year's guarantee - no mention of a cement layer over a concrete floor. For £16,000 I expected a better service rather than being fobbed off by a company who obviously have far greater muscle than I am able to offer. I strongly recommend anyone wishing to convert their garage should look elsewhere.”
“Tried to overcharge me for 3 sliding windows. I said I needed aluminium, they got me to sign up for uPVC and I spent over 4 months getting my money back after contacting Trading Standards.”
“This company has a quick and slick way to take your money, but when they don’t deliver the product you ordered to the specification you agreed on and then tell you they can’t fulfil the order after the fact - you then spend weeks trying to get a reply from them for a refund. To date, I’ve contacted head office filing a formal complaint which I’ve had no reply to. I’ve contacted the north east depo took 4 attempts to actually speak to someone only to be told they’d contact accounts only to not hear anything. Multiple emails chasing only
To be told to contact the depot and email been sent to the correct department - yet to hear actual anything back.
The whole thing is a joke, I’ve explicitly advised them I need the money back so I can go to a company who can actually fulfil my requirements I was expecting.
I reassure you I am not one for being ripped off or will I allow this business to try take me for a ride.
For anyone ordering, make sure they can actually fulfil the order and ignore the slick slideshow rubbish.”

“Was promised installation of conservatory last July and after being annoyed at delays being told March/April 2022 have put back to July /August probably. They are happy to take money but make promises they'll be do not keep. Totally untrustworthy company.”
“Appalling behaviour! A two day job started two days late and eventually ended after eleven days, still substandard. Anglian agreed to recompence me for seven days I had to take off of work and advised me to call and pay the bill minus my losses. When I called to pay the manager who agreed the deductions blocked the payment. I have since been threatened with court action despite the work being unfinished. We are now at an impasse as I am unwilling to take more time off of work to facilitate a job that was projected to complete in two days.
The sale and contract procedure will lead you to believe these people are consumate professionals. My experience is they'll tell you anything to get the job done then renege on their agreement.
I have heard nothing from them for some time despite cc'ing the Area Manager.
This is just my experience, they may actually get it right sometimes!”

We have been conned! We currently have no choice but to wait 9 months for installation because they cunningly wait until the expiry of the time since signing so that you either have to wait or lose your deposit and have to pay 30% of the price.

“Are you thinking of having a conservatry with Anglian.. they have completley ruined my home and conservatry. The walls are soaking wet and growing with thick black/green mould and sprouting with mushrooms.
I have been trying to get them to put it right for over 2 years - I just get ignored and lied to. I have had so many people come out to 'assess' it and 4 lots of photos have now been taken by different people.
They are the most disgusting incompentent lying company so I urge everyone thinking of using them DONT.”
“Didn't get past their outrageous sales tactics, promised no hard sell, guaranteed the price for 12 months, non of this happened. Quoted £25K for 5 windows, a patio door and interior porch door, reduced to £18.5K if we liked them on Facebook, filled out a survey, put a board up outside etc, but this was only valid for 2 days. A week later the 'manager' phoned up, and straight away dropped the price to £12K, again for only 2 days! Other reputable companies have been coming in at around £11K, without these games, which is what I was expecting! Disgusting that they would have happily taken £6K above the price without thinking twice. Having now read the reviews of rubbish after care service it seems like I've made the right decision but to go with them!”
“Utterly useless, I wish I have never dealt with them. Signed a contract for 3 windows 1,5 years ago, job still not done! Typical cycle of dealing with Anglian: engineer visit booked, they fail to turn up and not even contact you. I chase them for weeks. Finally they send a message “we will respond in 48 hours”. Weeks later, no response. A month or two later you manage to get them book a new date. They do not turn up. Vicious cycle repeats. Totally incompetent people.”
“Avoid over priced poor Fitting poor customer service.
Cancelled installation on the day. Door fitter came out without the proper fixtures for the door handle. We payed for a letter box and door chain they weren't fitted.
The fitter came back the week after to fit the door handle and 2 weeks later came back to fit the letter box and door chain.
The key barrel became faulty a week later came out to fix that.
Last month the door became hard to close and a gap appeared at the bottom a month later the fitter came back and told me the door was not fitted properly he fixed the door a week later there's still a gap.
Rang again was told a fitter will be with us in a months time
Had a phone to tell me a fitter would be in the area on Friday and can get to me in the afternoon so stayed in and no one turned up shocking company to deal with avoid them for your own peace of mind..”
“Avoid like the plague. Had windows and doors fitted two years ago by Anglian Windows. I’ve been renovating house since 2018 and had the first opportunity to open front facing windows when handle came off in my hand in 2020. Fitter had bogged handle on with glue. On looking at it he had snapped off drill bit whilst drilling and then tried unsuccessfully to drill another hole beside it and again snapped another drill bit off leaving nothing more than a mess. To cover up his actions he glued the handle on with glue knowing that no one was living in house. After so so many calls emails letters and missed bookings that they failed to turn up. After a year I had an engineer arrive with a new window. He looked at my window that needed replacement and said without even coming into the property it’s the wrong size window. Again phone call after phone call two years on still no replacement.
I’ve tried everything and without success. Please use another company they will never keep to what they say. False promises followed by terrible service and customer care is a joke. I am going to take legal action as I think a lot of people are in the same predicament but run out of steam as it’s mentally draining. Well let’s hope 22 brings a better out come when I take them to a small claims court.”

“poorly fitted windows 3 years ago, draughts in all windows, 1 shattered window that took weeks to fix, mortar around windows poor (mixed by side kick with water from water butt!!) fitter had flu so left inexperienced "side kick" to take windows out & fit some & mortar surrounds. Have had to have someone out several times to fix the issues, only to have to call again! handles failed & replaced with very different handles, so mixture of handles now! Came to decorate in one bedroom went to remove wallpaper only to find large area of loose plaster, rang to arrange sort out to be told this was not under guarantee, despite them not completing it at the time!! lots of things poorly done. very unprofessional sale man slagging off other companies & offering us cheaper quotes. would not recommend this company for anything!!!!!”
“Very disappointed, poorly designed and don't seal properly. Ordered safe and sound glass to reduce noise, however not as good as the windows we had taken out. The glass didn't reduce noise but increased it. Complained as one of the windows was faulty, think broken also other issues as well as the fitters breaking and outside light. Waited weeks for repair to the window date only for them to ring on the day and say a previous job had taken too long and couldn't come. Waited another maybe 6 weeks for them to come and although they tried the windows don't seal and reduce noise. Took from ordering in May 21 to doing the best they could in November 21. Seriously Don waste your money, there are a lot better out there”
“We were advised that triple glazing would reduce nearby road noise (it doesn’t) and was informed by an installer that they should have sold us acoustic glazing.
7yrs on, window handles are breaking due to a known fault with the plastic mechanism. It took 2mths for someone to replace them only for a different one to break within a couple of weeks. This time, a replacement handle was posted out for us to change it ourselves, only they sent one of the old style ones with the fault!
Today, the match on our front door won’t retract and so the door cannot be opened. We have paid over £100 to a locksmith to make the door usable whilst we wait for our service request email to be dealt with.
AVOID this company!!!”
