Was sent an email after 7days of buying a washing machine to buy insurance cover. After waiting for sometime they refused as they said they don't insure REFURBISHED appliances that they sell. Hence wise I was going to add it to the basket at the time of sale and also there's NOTHING on the site to say that this is the case. Nevermind, it's insured fully com elsewhere now at a better price. Just wasn't impressed how rude they was on the phone and how unprofessional this is.

Ordered a TV on 18th Feb 2021. First one was damaged. Second one was faulty. Appalling communication. Had to ring to get any answers. Total so far is 142 minutes on the phone and still haven't got a TV one month later. Was promised it today March 16th but no show again. This is the third day off work I have taken to wait in with no pay and still haven't got my TV. I've bought loads of goods from them in the past. Seems if anything goes wrong they are terrible. Basically they are just box shifters. don't expect any customer service. If this is on the public domain, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I purchased a electriQ Silent16 air conditioner along with a 5 year extended on 3rd January 2021. I am happy with the air con but having serious issues with the warranty. I should have received a policy schedule giving me my warranty number and have it in writing the legally binding agreement between me the purchaser and the vendor in the event I have to make a claim. This policy schedule I have not received now for nearly 3 months despite emailing and complaining to customer services numerous times. Every time I get a generic response saying they are looking into my issue. Appliance Direct customer service are terrible and full of BS. They are thiefs who have stolen £50 without providing the service I have paid for

Everything went well except that both items we received were not new out of the box, an extractor fan and charcoal filters. Both had clearly been used before. The packaging was not even intact. We got them working OK so didn't need to go back but, based on this experience, wouldn't buy anything there again.

Going to the store and working with the salesman was great. It was after my brand new washer and dryer were delivered and installed that everything went down hill. I went to use my dryer a few days later only to discover it did not work. It would not heat up. Called them and was told a service call would have to be done then they changed it to I had to call whirlpool directly. Called whirlpool and was told I needed to preform dryer vent check, which they would mail to me in about a week. Called appliance direct to complain that I should not have to wait another week and was told to bad. I think that is the definition of crappy service. Brand new and improperly installed and now it will possibly be two weeks before I can use my dryer. Not acceptable! They should have made some exceptions and moved things around to come out and fix or replace ASAP! This will be the last time I buy from them and I will discourage everyone I know not to use them. Beware they do not allow you to return your appliances regardless if it has been 5 days, 2 weeks or a month. Really bad service!!! Do not buy from them!!!

Stop buying from this junk company! They send me broken item and next day after collection I asked for return and they avoided return and send me phone number for manufacturer ask for repair!!! Can you believe it!? Buying from this junk company is a lottery. Do not risk it, not worth it. Do not waste your time and money. Please be very carefully!

Frankly, appalling. Placed order early January. Told them that I was without either fridge or washing machine due to both breaking down. Agreed delivery of 1st February. They told me that I could have the fridge the next day but I would have to wait for the washer. I was okay to wait. Then got a call 23rd January, sorry, the fridge is unavailable! And we can't get the washing machine in time! Agreed upgrade to fridge, new delivery date 6th March. Not happy. But agreed. 6th March. Ring them for ETA. Not coming. Fridge unavailable and discontinued. Washer unavailable and discontinued. Why haven't they even bothered contacting me? I would have waited in all day for nothing. No call, no email. Nothing available to suit. Can't get anything. Only a refund. I've paid two months of credit card interest on a grand, about £40, for literally nothing. I'm waiting on a call back from a manager, but I doubt I will be compensated in any way for this horrendous customer service. Absolutely shoddy. Terrible service. Do not use!

I am having severe difficulties with an order for a washing machine that was placed with Appliances Direct on 15th February. On 16th February, I received a cheery email saying "It's on it's way", but it wasn't. The shipper, Arrow, emailed me to arrange a delivery date, which I did for 2nd March. I had the old machine removed on 1st March and placed in position for collection. It sustained some damage in the move. Shortly after this was done, I received a text message from Arrow to say that there would be a slight delay in delivery. When I called them to find out why, I was told that they were no longer collecting scrap machines when delivering new ones (due to Covid, whatever that has to do with it; if they can deliver a machine they can take one away). They said that Appliances Direct had been made aware of this but had still accepted my order with scrap collection. Arrow could not carry out the delivery because they were under instruction from AD to make a collection as well, which they would not do. Since then I have had a lot of back and forth emails and calls with Appliances Direct but without resolution of the issue of when I will receive the machine. The customer relations staff are clearly struggling and I presume that I am not the only one affected. Today I was called by a manager who was still unable to state a date and told me that he had processed a £30 compensation payment in respect of my inconvenience. This had not been requested by me. When the confirming email arrived shortly thereafter it contained the wording “Agreed Amount To Settle all Outstanding Claims”. At no point in the telephone call were my legal rights mentioned and this was a disgraceful, low trick that had been perpetrated on me in an attempt to eliminate Applianced Direct's contractual agreement to deliver the machine by 10th March at the latest. I lost no time in emailing to repudiate the payment under these conditions. I also consulted my solicitor. Until I received that email, I had thought that I was dealing with a decent company that had a one-off unexpected problem with deliveries. The attempt to deprive me of my legal rights in an underhand manner has led me to revise my opinion. At the moment we have no washing machine and no information whatever about when one will be delivered.

I purchased an air conditioning unit online on 19th February. Upon following the check out part I was asked to choose from a list of gas installers which I did. My money was then taken and a delivery date was given. The day before delivery was due I received an e mail saying delivery was not going to take place as they needed the name of the gas fitter I was going to use. I replied saying I had already given them that information but gave his name again just to be sure. I then received an e mail apologising and gave me another delivery date of 5th March (tomorrow) I have now received another’s e mail saying exactly the same as the first one telling me delivery won’t be happening tomorrow as they need the name of the gas fitter!! I am at my wits end and am now going to demand a refund. In my opinion they should not have taken my money and then keep sending me excuses as to why I can’t have my item. Awful company!!

The products don't last longer than a year if that. Poorly made cheap imported products and they are experts at getting out of any warranty or guarantee

Diabolical service! Don't believe the paid for delivery service, they let you down! You won't receive your goods when it's been agreed! Don't uphold their delivery agreement. Shoddy service, we're going elsewhere.

Yet another company who's customer service means nothing, when i talked to customer services to try to change my delivery slot, was told that it was not possible, no apology, then when i tried to ask more questions i was hung up on. The delivery men were rude and surly and very upset that they had to make the delivery in the first place. I will be voicing my opinions on social media to let my family and friends, and anyone else who will listen, not to use Appliances Direct and spend their hard earned money elsewhere.

I recently purchased zanussi oven and built in microwave from this company. Worst mistake I ever made !! Oven delivered as stated, microwave which cost £425 missing. Customer services blaming Arrow XL courier service who have never received this. I have been trying to resolve this for 7 days and as of today still no further forward. The attitude and rudeness of one of the agents I spoke to was appalling, anyone would think I was in the wrong for trying to resolve this. I am now being told that this will need investigated further with the courier service before anything can be done. I have spoken with the courier service who were most helpful in trying to assist me but could only tell me the same as they told appliances direct, they can’t investigate what they never had !!!. I have tried to speak with a manager directly but best I can get is a shift supervisor. Now they want to send email links for me to send drivers licence details etc ...... what this has to do with myself not receiving microwave is beyond me. All I wanted was what I paid for and obviously as item not in stock anymore at least a replacement and all I’m getting is fobbed off with excuse after excuse as to why they need more time. Disgusted !!! I am now having to go and buy this item elsewhere at the cost of another £425 and wait till they decide they want to refund me. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY !!!!!!! Edit Delete Share

WHY have a facility on your website to collect old goods as well. (WHEN YOU HAVE NO INTENTION OF DOING SO). Why send COPIOUS emails at various intervals stating what is required for the collection of old appliances. (WHEN YOU HAD NO INTENTION OF DOING SO) Why do I get a text message stating the condition that the old appliance must be in and when it would be collected. (WHEN YOU HAD NO INTENTION OF DOING SO) Why fob me off without the courtesy of a reply to my last email. Yes you delivered a day early, this cost me getting an electrician in twice!!! the first time not being necessary because you HAD NO INTENTION OF COLLECTING THE OLD APPLIANCE in the first place, BUT OMITTED TO TELL ME SO!!!!
