Box arrived when opened. I immediately thought everything looked thrown in as if someone else had this extractor fan before me. The chimney is damaged bent steelwork. Kitchen being fitted next week cannot get a replacement until the old one is sent back? Ordered a hob that looks okay. Was going to order a fridge freezer that now looks very doubtful.

Where to start... this company has disgusting customer service. I spent near on £2000.00 with them for appliances for our 1st home too firstly be let down on the DAY off delivery via email stating the appliances would not be delivered to then get hung up on 4 times!. We have a new born baby and we couldn't move into our home for another 4 days because we couldn't get our appliances!! Then we "tried" to put together the sham off a BBQ for it to be defective. The lid doesn't close, the door falls off, the wheels fall off. I wouldn't risk lighting the thing just incase! I contact them to be told its fine it could be collect and a replacement or refund would issued. I got a confirmation email regarding this which was great and they just asked for photos which i obviously supplied. It stated on the email that someone would contact me within 24 hours to discuss collection, this didn't happen and i had to chase. I received an email back stating they would refund me £15 or a £25 voucher if i wished to keep the defective BBQ hahah! what good is that to me!. Long story cut short the service is shocking so are appliances. I now need to purchase a massive box to try and fit this heap into or waste another 2 hours breaking it down! Dont waste your time people.

Honestly do your yourself a favour and buy your electic appliances elsewhere, unless you want to messed about with every-changing collection dates. The website said 'collect tomorrow' on an item I purchased 10 days ago, I am now being told it won't be ready for another 5 days. The date has shifted back several times. I am now having to cancel this order and re-order from somewhere reliable. By the way, the website STILL says 'collect tomorrow' for the same item even this is obviously totally incorrect. I had a similar experience with a second item I ordered, although that did only take a week longer than expected to be available to collect. Customer service not much help either - just blamed systems for getting dates wrong. They are cheap for a reason. Avoid.

Do yourself a fav our and go somewhere else. They didn't take my old appliance even though I have paid for it, because this was not disconnected for 12 hours, but never been told this. Terrible communication, and all apologies, no solutions.

I ordered a Zanussi Canopy Cooker Hood. At checkout on the website there was a pop up saying don't forget you'll need a ducting kit- we recommend : Universal 120-125mm Diameter 3m Kitchen Cooker Hood Ducting Kit. On this recommendation I added it to my order. When it came to be fitted 4 weeks later the electrician informed me that the 'universal' ducting kit- did not fit the extractor. It's unscrupulous to recommend items that do not work together. It's also misleading to describe an item as 'universal' when it doesn't fit a brand you are selling on your website. As I am a few days over the 30 days return in their t+c's customer services have refused to do anything. I feel I was mis-sold in their keenness to upsell at checkout. Update: I have been offered to return the £10 vent. The cost they are charging for the return is £15. This is despite the fact that they mis-sold me the product.

I've been warned this company cherry pick reviews, so this will probably get deleted They went to the wrong address and tried to blame me saying someone is in but not answering and they had ''photographic evidence'' of attempted delivery I asked for the address and he said 19 instead of 18. I double checked my order and it has the correct number so how they went to the wrong house Ill never know. Person on phone then tried to get the driver to come back to right house as he was only 6 minutes away but refused? My family now has to wait and extra week for a working washing machine all because someone working there is incompetent at I.T and could not copy paste my address and fat fingers 19 instead.

The ordering and delivery were as expected and promised The delivery charges etc I thought were a bit expensive. I did not expect or appreciate the pestering phone calls wanting me to purchase additional warranty or whatever. on the pretext of registering my warranty asking questions you already had the answers for. You were phoning me !! I don't want my details passed to any third parties.

I ordered one item. I made sure I didn't subscribe to any mailing or updates or deals. Within the first 3 hours I received 3 emails and one text. One email said this is a short email....3 paragraphs later it's still going. I then get contacted to say thank you for joining us! But I didn't!!! Then another saying here are some deals. But I don't want any deals. I then contacted you to say cancel my order and give me a refund. This was ignored. Today I received the part. What an absolutely disgusting way to conduct your business. I was bombarded from the very start despite me asking not to be contacted. And today I get a please review us email hence this response. I'll make sure I never do business with you again.

10 days after payment and I’m still waiting for delivery. Contacted them to sort it out and it will take a further 4 days to even respond! They totally take the p….. so much so I’ve already been and purchased another one from elsewhere. In my opinion, unless you have a few weeks to spare I’d look elsewhere.

I payed £40 for express delivery of an electric cooker. It failed to make the first delivery as the vehicle was too big to get to a farm where we have regular bulk deliveries in 18 ton vehicles. They rescheduled the delivery for 5 days later. I have just been told this delivery failed because they could not find the house. We have never had this excuse before with multiple deliveries on a monthly basis. After 3 phone calls I still have no idea when the cooker is to be delivered. A simply appalling experience

I ordered my appliance in October 2021 and it arrived 18th January 2022. I did have a few e mails delaying the delivery dates that had previously been given but was not ever advised why. Nor was any apology forthcoming. This company had a substantial amount of my money for the whole of this period. Not a happy customer!!

Terrible company, slow moving to address issues with no sympathy for the impact they had and the considerable costs involved. Ordered range cooker at the start of Dec 21 in anticipation of a house move where we would be without one. Cooker delivered as planned on the 14 Dec and initially  unprompted feedback from the delivery driver that Appliances Direct hold no compassion or personal interest in their customers or their staff, stemming from a recent family issue they had encountered. Sadly upon opening it was larger than ordered and hence would fit. Then it took 5 lengthy phones at a cost of c£30 on a premium rate phone number for them to agree to take it back. Then two failed collection attempts having waited in all day, with it finally being collected on the 29 Dec. All this time without a cooker ... over Christmas! and without the refunded money to buy another. When looking for another they were now £150 more expensive than large name rivals and they refused to price match, let alone offer something for all the inconvenience. After much pressing they offered either a £40 voucher for a future purchase (which I would not want to use as this experience) or £50 off a new cooker... which would make them only £100 more expensive than a large rival for the correct size! An all round appalling experience which was constantly poor regardless of which of the many Appliance Direct I spoke to.  I would avoid this company at all costs.

Abysmal. I really wish I had read more reviews before buying one of their products. It is a high end dehumidifier, meant to be wifi connected through an app. The instructions I received did not match the machine, and despite trying all of the different possibilities I could find online, none of the methods worked. I contacted their customer service team, which redirected me to appliances direct (I believe they are part of the same umbrella group), and they just went through all of the different options I had already tried. No one actually knew the correct instructions for the machine they had sent, it was all just a stab in the dark. Too many times they asked me to try pressing buttons that weren't even on the machine I had. Aside from that, the machine was noisier than advertised, kept shutting off at the wrong humidity (I believe the sensor is in the outlet, not the inlet), leaks everywhere when you empty it, generally feels cheap and I have zero confidence in it lasting. They are taking it back, but will only give a refund if they test it and find it to be faulty. I obviously do not trust them at all, and they have left me open to the possibility that their "test" will not even be carried out and they will claim it to be working fine. Please do not buy from them, as you will likely be getting my faulty machine!

Ordered and paid for a new washing machine. The old machine I had paid for it to be taken away and recycled. The day before delivery I had an email asking me to disconnect the old machine and leave it dry and in a position to be collected, this I did which was no easy task. A previous e mail also identified that the delivery driver would text me at approximately 9am delivery day to confirm a delivery time. Shortly before 11am I had an email to say that the delivery would not take place and that I would have to rebook it. This would now mean a delivery of a further 7 to 10 days. I had to move back and replumb our old machine (as it still worked). Poor communication is the Appliance Direct problem. Cancelled order, money returned to my account within 4 hours, well done. Have bought another machine from AO. Great communication throughout. I appreciate the times we are living in, however a phone call, e mail or text at an earlier instant would have been advantageous to both Appliance Direct and I.

Allowed me to order an oven as in stock and ready for delivery within 3 days. On the delivery day cancelled with no explanation. Rescheduled for 3 days later. Again, morning of the delivery cancelled. My tenant is now without an oven for Christmas. Very poor customer service, will not use again. Going back to AO!
