“Beals stole our £2.5k deposit despite leaving the house exactly how it was when we moved in. Contacted Molly Mae who put me through to Hayley Gooding and Kirsty Millis. They both ignored my emails over and over again, obviously hoping I would get bored and eventually give up. They are still yet to reply and refusing to engage at all in any talk of the stolen deposit. While we were living in the house (that was full of black mould just to add), they would often email saying we hadn’t paid rent even though all of us had. They obviously thought they could squeeze more out of us, hoping we weren’t paying close attention. DO NOT rent from this company, they will steal whatever they can if you let them.”

Beales are the worst letting agent I have ever dealt with. They are very slow to respond to problems, often months. They (eventually) send the same unskilled handymen to “resolve” every issue and it always results in many more visits than is necessary and a substandard botch-job. To achieve this level of “service” you have to chase them many, many times.They have been caught out lying to me on numerous occasions. At the end of tenancy they tried to overcharge me. Luckily they were not competent enough to pull it off. Do not deal with this company. It doesn’t matter if you like the house, it will not be worth the hassle you will go through.”
“Arranged for Charges Crayden of Crayden Limited to conduct Electrical Inspection Condition Report. Charles failed to attend but sent a cocky, arrogant person in his place. Ride and disrespectful. Mask hanging from one ear, no gloves, climbed on my furniture to reach ceiling lights as he didn't bring his own steps and he damaged one of my guitars being repair. Truth to complain. Beal's asked me for photographic proof of the damage, which I provided. Then they said that Charles Crayden won't accept responsibility, so there's nothing they can do. I'm on my own. Disgusting and rude communications from Beal's. I'm treated like managers at head office whom can't actually manage. You send them an email clearly addressed to someone but they assume that one of their colleagues will respond for them. I'm seriously and that I have to give them one star! I think it's just a matter of time til Beal's and Crayden Limited are featured as Rogue Traders on BBC Watchdog! Watch this space!”

“Hideous property management. Lost most of the property keys twice then try to lie to cover their backs. Wouldn’t cover the cost I had to cover for new keys. Totally incompetent. Didn’t manage the property properly. House damaged and filthy after 1 tenant in 1 year. Do not use!!!”

Not only took ridiculous amount of money, but couldn't be asked to do anything around the building, even after several complaints. We needed front door fixing, shower fixing, leaking sink fixing etc.
Many phone calls and visits in the branch only resulted in redirecting us and ignoring the problems.
Local branch in Southsea as well as the head office are absolutely ridiculous.
Obviously making problems with the deposit release, even though the flat was left in a perfect condition.
Simply thieves, really.
They don't even deserve one star.”

They were informative about potential tenants and kept us very well updated on progress. We felt they really tried to do their best to find the right tenants as quickly as they could.”
“Made a good effort to get viewings, found a buyer quickly. I am living abroad and they visited and checked the house on a regular basis. Some complications arose with the survey, and they handled the subsequent investigations and negotiations with the buyer competently. Good, professional service.”
