If I could give a zero I would. Ordered bedroom furniture in June 18 for my elderly disabled sister. Furniture arrived damaged. Raised matter with Store Manager at White City Manchester Mr. Phil Bailey. I mentioned how helpful the sales assistant Alex had been. Alex had raised this matter with his regional manager however this did not expedite matters. Mr Bailey informed me he had admonished Alex for helping a customer once goods had been sold quote 'our job is to sell the goods. If a problem occurs get in touch with Benson's Customer Service'. Several weeks and multiple e mails and phone calls later I again contacted Mr Bailey and informed him of the lack of interest / action by customer services. Reluctantly he sent an e mail stating that I should receive '5 Star Treatment' whatever that meant? Once again I contacted Customer Services [prepare yourself for a long wait]. Finally spoke with an agent and gave him my mobile number in case we were 'cut off'. We were in fact 'cut off' during our conversation and he did not ring me back. I once again made contact with Mr Bailey the manager of the store and suggested he take some responsibility in resolving this matter. We actually wanted an explanation as to how this debar cal had occurred? He asked if the goods had now been delivered and were fit for purpose. I explained they had, however wanted to know how this problem had occurred? He said it was nothing more to do with him and put the phone down. I found Alex to be of great help, and as mentioned above he at one stage raised this matter with his regional manager, however it remained unresolved. The company have now given my sister £75 as a gesture of goodwill. Goodwill starts with good customer service. The attitude of Mr Bailey [Store manager] was appalling and the response of Benson's Customer Services was not much better. You never know the quality of a company until something goes wrong. Benson's and in particular Mr Bailey are and remain a terrible advert for everything that is wrong or bad with customer service or lack of it in this country. NEVER BUY GOODS FROM THIS STORE

Wakefield store lady called jane got my order wrong didn't charge me enough cash and then I've to trail back to pay her mistake. She said even though you have paid cash if you cancel you can only have a cheque (wrong) . Her mistake . I asked her if I could have a pillow for inconvinios No sorry nothing Her falt.

If i could give zero stars i really would! We ordered a bedroom set in May this year and after 3 damaged deliveries of a headboard and missing side table this company finally send us on thr 4th attempt an acceptable headboard which was not even perfect nearly 6 months after and offer £25 compensation on a £1500 set!! Utter disgrace. Do not use this company. Poor customer service and would not allow us to speak to a supervisor!

It's a pity the star rating doesn't go below zero. My daughter bought a bed almost three weeks ago and it was delivered in part on Monday this week. Some idiot at the warehouse had "lost" the mattress. Not a small item! Regardless, they delivered the base unit and headboard at 06.40am having given a window of 07.00-13.00. OK so far apart from no mattress. One of the drawers in the base unit fell apart when I removed the protective packaging. So, we spent about three hours on Tuesday speaking with customer "services" to establish when the mattress would be delivered. They could not help. They promised to call back on Thursday with news. They didn't. I spend all morning trying to call them until noon when their outgoing voice message changed to say their system had crashed. No doubt under the weight of complaints. Again, all this morning wasted trying to get some news as we have guests arriving on Saturday. The waiting time on the phone varies from 20 mins to an astonishing 45 mins. I have asked to speak to both the depot manager and the transport manager but apparently this is forbidden. Where is the customer service they boast about? Where is the flaming mattress? Accrington is only 40 mins from our home. Is it beyond them to say that they would stick the mattress on a Transit van and deliver it? No service. No initiative. No more business for them. Bye the way, the bed is poorly made from the cheapest of materials. I could have knocked up a better drawer divan base unit in a couple of hours for around £40.

Sales team were superb - unfortunately supported by dire back end team who put back delivery by a week but also forgot to put major elements onto the order. Shambles of a service we are tired of chasing. If delivery not made happy to pop into my local store and take goods worth the amount we are owed...Genuine cockwombles of the highest order.

Got bed broken soon as it went together total rubbish the base is made of cheap cardboard, meant to be picking it back up on the 31st October so been in my house nearly a month, I never go back to them

I like many more have been upset by bensons beds , we bought a staples mattress for £900 and after 6 weeks its not fit for purpose , we had so much grief getting the mattress to start with I said ill just pull the plug and get a refund , oh no , if you wanna lose £180 thats fine , who wants that , can't believe that this company is still running , in process now of trying to return a faulty product and getting no where WISHED ID HAVE LOOKED HERE BEFORE I BOUGHT ONE

Unable to quote correctly. Hidden extra for "assembly" on quote. Despite "Free delivery on everything" signs all over the store the sales assistant still added £25 delivery. She didn't seem to know about her products or lead times.

Ordered a bed on 22nd August and paid deposit, didn't know moving date so salesman put in 1st October and told us to ring in when we knew. When I rang on 18th October with moving date 26th October, I was informed that they had moved the date to 31st October and could not move the date forward. We went into the store on 19th to get our deposit back, and was told by female manager that if we cancelled the order the company policy is to keep any deposit paid. As we are in our 70's, we cannot afford to throw a large sum of money away, so we argued about this. We were told that they had tried to voicemail us 9 times, because we should have paid the amount in full seven days prior to the 1 st October date, (we didn't get them as we had to change the phone) we were not told this when buying the bed, it is hidden in small print in pages of terms and conditions. I asked why they didn't write to us when we didn't respond as they had our address, she said that's only used for delivery. After over an hour of arguing, we rang the complaints department and asked to speak with a senior manger, the female shop manager then quickly as told us that she could arrange for a private courier if we paid £40, which we had no choice but to do. She could have suggested that right at the beginning, but no, she put us through a lot of stress and anxiety. We would never recommend Bensons for Beds to anyone.

Where do i start, ordered a bed on the 25th of August and paid nearly 14 hundred pounds. First delivery was on the 17th of September, the driver rejected it because they sent a double mattress, double headboard and a king size base, should have been double, we had no bed to sleep on, husband just out of hospital and had to buy an inflatable bed. Second delivery attempt 21st September, wrong again exactly the same order packed again double mattress, double headboard and king size base. I was told that we would get a loan bed, but after numerous attempts to chase that up with customer services, which are absolutely a waste of time was told that there wasn't a loan bed available. Both still on an inflatable bed and a poorly husband. I was then told that i would have to put a whole new order in and wait just over 3 weeks again. They finally delivered the correct order on the 17th of October. These people have had my money in the bank since August 25th and if i could rate zero stars i would and will never use this company again and of course spread the word to friends and work colleagues

Disgusting company, disgusting and appalling customer service, shabby products, the treatment we received after being mis-sold a mattress by the store, is in humane. This company do not care about its customers, only your money. Once they have your money you will never see it again. Bensons deserve to go into administration and I hope they do.

Refund process appalling, yes we signed a contract where it stated 20% if not delivered for any reason. We ordered a super king size divan with zip and link mattresses. The divans would not go up our stairs but the mattresses would. They took them all back and charged us 20% for being unable to deliver even though we would have been happy to pay 20% of the divan and keep the mattresses. But Bensons insist the whole order must be cancelled and we will lose 20% on whole order but then happy for us to re-order the mattresses at full price again. Impossible to do business with these people and the customer service is hopeless.

I am only giving 1 star because zero stars isn't an option. Bensons are proving to be worse than very poor. Really totally pathetic. Nothing that anyone at Bensons says in person or over the phone means anything. They consistently miss commitments and the next person you talk too effectively just says that the last person was wrong and starts again. It has now been over a month of missed commitments. Appalling repeated failure to deliver to our new home on time so we had no bed to sleep on. Ended up having to buy an inflatable mattress and finally moving out of the house as Bensons could not deliver a bed as promised. Delivery slipped and then they still couldn't get it right. We made it absolutely clear that because we still had no bed to sleep on that we had moved out of the new house and could not get back there from London before 12 noon. Afer heated debates with Customer Service (Who wanted to force an early am. delivery after already being a full week late) we were assured that the driver would be told to make later delivery after 11.30 - 12 noon. At 7.37 am the driver called confirming that he was on his way wanting to deliver. Of course he knew nothing about the call with Customer Service moving delivery from early am. to Noon.............He then crashed his delivery vehicle into a neighbours garage. (Great way to meet new neighbours) Finally took delivery of very sub quality poorly manufactured base that the delivery team could not assemble. They blamed very poor manufacturing quality / misalignment of holes and left. During delivery they managed to put stains up the stair carpet and on the bedroom carpet from the tailgate of their delivery lorry. The delivery crew had very limited spatial and coordination abilities. It was only my shouting and grabbing that avoided them smashing light fixtures at top of stairs and in bedroom. Promises from the store manager of a new replacement base unit simply failed to happen. Bensons initially agreed to replace it, then wanted to send a technican to repair the defective base, then re-agreed send a replacement, and then called back saying that the previous 2 commitments to replace were mistakes and over a week later suddenly decided that they wanted to repair again. Been chasing by email for over a week with no replies so far. Still waiting to hear if Bensons can manage to do what they say. I just emailed Bensons saying that if they cannot fix it next Monday they need to just send a driver and collect it. Pathetic performance.

The mattress after just 3 years and 5 month has bad sagging and dipping and has given us serious back pain. We complained to bensons for beds but they were not interested. The warranty it had for 5 years is worthless. When a mattress should last for at least double the time, seven years. We will have to buy another mattress now. Bensons for beds, never again. Go somewhere else because if you have any problems they wont really help you.

Delivery was late order incomplete and damaged Customer services useless as can not book delivery’s but have to wait for logistics to give them a date You can’t speak to logistics yourself Complaints not answered ! Furniture ordered mid August still not delivered in full Will never use this company again

Absoultley disgusting service purchased a bed from bensons in preparation for my husband operation had 3damaged foot boards and customer service was a shambles I had to borrow a put up bed for my husband to sleep on in the end after many phone calls and getting nowhere I couldn’t waitanymore it was getting so stressful I accepted to keep a damaged headboard and £80 was agreed as compensation I was advised store would ring me to arrange the £80!to be put back on my card none rang me i rand store they said only £40 was on the system they were going to listen to the call and ring me back I’m still waiting for call back !!!! !!!!!!i paid £600 for bed got a damaged headboard and customer service a shambles been going on for nearly 3 months My son is also having ongoing issues with bensons Avoid bensons Mary farrugia

Purchased a firmness level 4 mattress 15mths ago. Big indents each side, even after turning as instructed, refused a refund or replacement as told not faulty. Guy who inspected it said only way to tell if faulty, as MF, is to cut up mattress. Report can't state if there's a fault so Benson's refusing to do anything, even though it's under a comfort guarantee.
