I have wasted almost two days trying to take advantage of a promotion listed on Best Buy.com and told about by several in store phone sales reps. Here's the deal. Best Buy will tell you that they have $350 off a Samsung S21 Ulltra if you open a new POST paid account for a two year commitment. In addition, Verizon is offering a $800 trade in (my phone qualifies for the full $800) that is handled through them. This is plain not true. No less than 5 reps, and two cell sales managers assured me so. I would not pull the trigger because of so much conflicting information, so after a manager assured me they just did this very thing for a person, I was like OK. As soon as I said that the rep says, he can't gaurantee the $800 I walked out and went to the original store I started this at, to see if someone could give me a straight answer. I was about to do this earlier and they said call Verizon first. I did. Verizon said if I open a post paid account when I walked into Best Buy it would not be new for them to open and I wouldn't get the $350 off from them. I told them this and they shrugged. I needed the rep to assure me more I would get both if I did this. They called the "bridge" some authority line who reviewed the promotion and assured the rep and I that I would also get the $800 through Verizon. Zack also said that since the "Bridge" assured me they would have to make it right through gift cards or some way. So I made the purchase and agreed to 2 years of Post paid and a cost of $30 more a month than my current unllimited Verizon plan. Spent significant time with Verizon and their managers and basically got told that it is not new. It was already opened at Best Buy and cannot therefore qualify for the promotion. It is on a new device from a Verizon store. There price is $1200 so it just is too much. ($720 more over two years-I don't need the addition features, plus 400 still on the phone). I went back to Best Buy asking for managers, given back to the phone manager and was told she just processed several of these $800 promotions. Just go to the Verizon trade in website under my new premium account and it would work. We did, put in my phone and it came up $84. Cancelled plan and returned phone. I had asked if I do it with Verizon right now to qualify, can you give me the $350 off the phone? No was the reply. I had really been upset at the number of clearly sketch wording from associates, different answers, and about a dozen attempts calling best buy CS to speak with a manager-didn't happen-Disconnected or transferred to some place that would never be able to help. Called corporate, asked for a supervisor, unable to do so...So I really wanted a way to do this and made another attempt at the other store, asked for manager, given manger, stated issue. She stated that I have to accept the $84.00 and then fight Verizon for a month or two to get my full $800. Really. It states on the trade in site, that if you agree to the 84.00 click here. You agree to those terms and accept $84.00...Anyone knows that I just waived any recourse when I hit agree to $84.00, it's simple, contractual and done. I explained, she stated nothing else to do, and I just stated to stop telling people they will also get the $800. It's $350 best buy or $800 Verizon. Hours, managers, 40 calls and I am in business, I can navigate issues. It can't be done. "Alrighty then" is all I got. If you read the fine print in Best buys website explaining the promotion, it does say cannot be combined with other offers, ($350). The problem is that numerous associates said I could, including the Bridge. They will tell you it's Verizons' lousy CS. It's bad also, but its one or the other. I know I can't be the only one. The is Zack and Melinda at Best Buy Hamburg, NY and some other misleading individuals at the Waldend Galleria store near Buffalo. I'm not nuts, I don't ever do this. But you really would have to be there to hear all this, and then witness them change answers about ten times with looks at each other. They know its not going to work. I decided to put a small percentage of time into letting people know so they would not also be lied to by Best Buy and end up with a two year expensive contract and peanuts for their trade in. Just not true, cannot be done. I haven't been blatently misrepresented from phone calls to reps ever.

If I could give below one star I would. Terrible customer service-based in the Philippines many many many phone calls later with a new story each time I called and STILL no resolution. SKIP BEST BUY.

Bought a computer and got it home to find out the speaker did not work. Took it back to Geek Squad and they supposedly repaired it. Got it home and still did not work. Took it back and they replaced it by ordering a new computer which I paid expedited shipping to get it in one to two days. Received an email it would not be in for 2 weeks. Called store no answer. Called corporate costumer service and they said their was nothing they could do. The women was very rude and not helpful. Asked to speak to someone else that could help and she hung up on me. As my daughter being college student we needed this computer ASAP. Very very mad, upset with BestBuy! The worst costumer service!!!

“A couple of times tom Malkovich rooted my phones and every time it was perfect work, even when once one of my phones was problematic but he managed to solve the problem. The whole team very professional and always ready to answer my calls. Looking forward to continue using hackerspyville in the future and I will certainly recommend to anyone who asks me. La peor experiencia que he tenido, fui a comprar una estufa y un horno de hondas, todo muy bien en la orden y fecha de entrega, el problema vino cuando trajeron mi orden, la estufa era lo que llaman "open box", yo pague por una nueva no por una que quizas retornaron con un golpe, esto es increible y luego el problema para comunicarme y hacer el cambio. HORRIBLE!!!

Oh no im not a customer im a victim. Ordered a big screen samsung tv from bb madison wi. Provided them with written instructions where to deliver the tv. They arrive on the wrong side of my apartment but hey bb deliverymen can make it. Nope i was entirely wrong, not only do they not know how to read but are also incompetent and complain a lot while delivering your item. Got to the apartment was yelled at in a brusque way. They check their hands and leave. Leaving me with the tv to drag to my room contrary to what they advertised. Truth is they dont care about your experience at all. Now i order from amazon instead. Their store might be ok to shop at but their delivery service was the worst i have ever experienced. Would not reccommend ordering from them. Expect an awful time if ordering big ticket products. Will never buy from them again ever.

Do not buy from Best Buy. They have the worst customer service! Bought a washer. After leaving the store I had a question so I called the store. Finally after 16 minutes on hold guy from Best Buy Call Center that is a hired company by Best Buy to answer calls tells me "the Best Buy employees are not paid to answer phones. No Best Buy employee in the USA will answer the phones." Really, well I will never buy from Best Buy again!

Bestbuy now full of product scam. Buyers beware! I bought a new 18tb WD Easystore HDD in mid Apr 2021 on Bestbuy online for about $400+. However, the item I received was only 80GB. I called BB and let agent know what happened. The agent asked about the Product Part Number and Serial Number, both indicated to be a 18TB WD Easystore, which is only sold in Bestbuy, yet the volume was only 80GB. Agent provided a prepaid UPS shipping label and I shipped the return to Bestbuy. The return was delivered to Bestbuy on May 10th, 2021. Then I called BB multiple times, each time the agent told me it needed 10-15 days to process refund. By June 1st I called again and the agent sent an email confirming receipt of the product but move the receipt date to June 1st. On June 18 I called again and the agent started to say they received a product not sold by Bestbuy and refused to refund. They even created a fake UPS tracking to let me believe they shipped the item back to me. Shame on Bestbuy! By scamming their customers their fate is already the writing on the wall. I will take this matter to state consumer authority and even legal action if needed.

In January my 5-year-old Dell Laptop experienced a battery failure. Took it to Best Buy, where I bought it, to have a new one installed. Since my Geek membership had lapsed they convinced me it would be better in the long-run to sign up again and that would cover the cost of the battery replacement and any future problems. A few days later I retrieved the computer and happily took it home. Within a couple of weeks the dialog boxes indicating battery failure were back. I called the Squad (in India apparently) and they could not figure it out since the battery was new and said to just ignore the notices. Which I did. Then Monday I got the black screen of death and took it back to the store where I was told it would cost another $130 and 30 days to send it off. You could literally watch the battery drain bit by bit when unplugged. I then took it to an independent computer repair shop who discovered the battery cells were extremely swollen and would have exploded soon. Three days later I have a new battery. I don't know if my experience was due to deceit or rank incompetence on the part of the Geek Squad. All this to say I will NEVER set foot in a Best Buy ever again. If I could give negative stars I would.

Best Buy marketplace is terrible. BB does not provide customer service when their payment platform fails and pushes you to the vendor. I needed up with my order being duplicated and was charged twice with no support. Stay Away!!!!!

Paid extra for tech support, used today for the first time the African American geek squad making every excuse not to help me . Will never buy anything from best buy again and will be telling all my friends.

LIED ABOUT WHAT I WAS GETTING. Paid for a MacBook Pro 15" with 32GB of RAM and a 1 Terabyte SSD drive. When Apple checked it, it has 16 GB of RAM and 526GB SSD. LIAR LIAR Pants on ... NM FU!

Still on display 199.99 eco printer. No stock can't order can't deliver dont know when can get per salesperson. Needed printer so paid 100 more.

But a new washer, severally damaged. The store is over 1 hr away and will not receive phone calls. The national line is a joke as they keep transferring you to someone else, which is not right department. Called asked for supervisor and promised return call in 5 minutes. A day latter still know return call. The worst customer service!!

6-15-2021 Best Buy : I have recently had electronics work performed on my two vehicles after I participated in your geek squad yearly program. And to my dissatisfaction there has been several issues that have been very problematic for me including ordering extra unneeded supplies then having to return them, making at least 6-8 different appointments on over a 3 month period for work that should have been performed on just two separate installation jobs, and finally theft of my property from the trunk of my car while in your care. On 3/16/2021 I placed an order online order number bby01-806435868145 and had it delivered to my home. I then set up an installation appt. For Friday 4-2-2021 at 4pm to have it installed. At the time of installation I was notified I may need to make another appt. To finish the install because your system did not allow enough time for the simple install. I said ok but I’d like to get it all done in one appt. The job was completed and I was happy. Then it was suggested to me that I could purchase a yearly geek squad membership that would allow for other installations free for other vehicles I own. I thought it to be a good deal and I joined in on it. I then brought in my dodge pu truck on Thursday 5/20/2021 to have a bass box installed. Additionally I set up an appointment for my Honda car for the day after to have my bass box put in that vehicle. However when I brought my truck in 5/20/2021 I was notified they would need more time so I agreed to use my next day appt set up for my car so my truck could get finished. Then on Friday 5/21/2021 I was notified my truck was mostly done but I would need to bring it in again to install one more amp. I agreed because I wanted to get my things completed. I again made another appt for my truck and when I got it back my phone did not work through my truck stereo to use Apple play. It had worked fine prior to this. I called and made yet another appt and after looking into your tech said” I forgot to hook up the front input jacks in the stereo” and I informed him that my amp cover was left off of my amp under the seat. He then readdressed this issue and was finishing it up when I picked up my truck. Prior to all of these appointments I went in and talked to your tech and we ordered about $1000 worth of parts and speakers for both vehicles. Then I made another appointment to get my car amps and speaker box installed. I brought in several amps I had for use on either of these vehicles and each time everything unused was returned to me until my last appointment with my car. Additionally I had to make 2 more appt to get the work done on my car which included install of the door speakers, bass box and two amps. Then on my last appt for the amp install I was called on Saturday the 12th of June 2021 that the amps I had were not enough power to run my speaker box. I told heime over the phone to use the mtx amp I had or one of the others I brought in. He then said they were not in there. I was confused at this point as to what he was talking about. He suggested I purchase a 4 channel amp he could install somewhere easily. He said it would sound good. I just wanted to get my car done and I didn’t understand just yet what all was going on. So I agreed to just do that and I purchased yet another amp. When I got my car back from your shop 3 of my amps that I brought in were missing. They were there in the trunk of my cat Friday the 11th of June, I even opened the trunk to show the guy everything they could use for the install. He said heime was dealing with it and he would wait for him on Saturday the 12th June when he did the install. I have received nothing but trouble, heartache, and inconvenience from your Springfield Oregon location because of this. I had to make several appt when in fact this should have been a simple 2 appt ordeal. One for my car and one for my truck. I ordered several items then had to return them and buy other things, when it was known ahead of time what I wanted done. And finally my property was stolen out of your shop and I was forced to buy another amp when I had several. So now let this serve as your notice that if I am not reimbursed for my stolen property and the cost of the amp I was forced to buy from you, I will sue Best Buy in court. You have 30 days to respond and make this good or I will litigate this matter. My stolen property was one mtx mono amp with a value around $150, one alpine power mono amp worth around $200, and one Rockford fosgate mono amp worth around $200. Additionally I want to be reimbursed for the amp I was forced to buy from you to complete the install because mine was stolen from your shop. After all this I noticed they broke my cup holder in my truck as well. Thank you Mark Braun

The Best Buy National Hotline that you get transferred to when you call your local store now is absolutely awful and trash. Terrible customer service. Some Best Buy employee of the Geek Squad copped an attitude with me over the difference between a sales consultation or service consultation. I told him that we will all argue over the correct corporate lingo at the State Sales and Use Tax audit at their corporate headquarters in Minnesota this Fall. I ended up going to the store which is what I should have done all along. Do store managers really believe that cutting off communications with the local customers are good ideas? I know it’s a Corporate decision, but it will be the final nail in the coffin for their brick and mortar stores

I bought a Yale Lock and paid $200 for tech support to come install it on 6/21/21 between 7am and 1pm, at the Millbury Store in Worcester, hence I called out for work to wait for them, it got to 12.30pm, no communication, I decided to call the store and inquire. Talked to a person named Jade who was extremely rude, he stated I had an accent and that he wouldn't understand me even in a million years, and hanged up on me. Didn't even listen to what I was calling for or even transfer me to another person who maybe could have listened and understood me. Jade spoiled my whole entire day.

This review is regarding BestBuy fake online sell of the NVIDIA 3070TI founders edition. I very disappointed that BestBuy let NVIDIA use them like this, I waited around 8 hours online waiting for BestBuy to start the sell the 3070TI founders edition hoping I would be able to finish building my new DIY PC build. When I seen the NVIDIA 3070TI founders edition go from coming soon to sold out I was sad thinking the bots got me. Then 9 days later my saddest went to full blow angry after I found out the BestBuy online sell of the NVIDIA 3070TI founders edition was fake wasting 8 hours of my time how can I every trust BestBuy again.

Bought a MacBook Air on Black Friday but got no discount whatsoever. Could have bought it directly from Apple and got their student discount! Heck, they’re even adding in free AirPods right now! The customer service at Best Buy was also horrible! Had to wait HOURS to finally be able to buy my laptop. Got hold of a guy after waiting at least an hour. He said he’ll be back once he’s finished with the other person. Ha! When he came back, he went to someone else who even came after me. Pretty sure he was racist.
