BT sent me a link to a page on their website that gives information about Home Essentials Broadband being available to benefits claimants. This information is buried on their website. A customer would need to be told that it is there so that they could access it. I believe that BT don’t want benefit claimants to know that there is cheaper broadband available. I have been in receipt of Universal Credit since 21/12/21. Therefore, I have been eligible for Home Essentials Broadband since then. I now have a contract for 12 months for this cheaper broadband which started on 1/4/22. I can’t pay my monthly BT bill of £80.07 in April 2022 because I haven’t got a job and I am desperately short of money. I called BT on 4/4/22 to discuss this matter. This was the latest date for paying the bill according to BT. I spoke to Dave at BT who was unhelpful, disrespectful and rude. So, there was no resolution. I told him that I will not be paying a late payment charge. The last time I was unable to pay my bill by the due date, BT applied a £7.50 late payment charge to my account. That was some time ago, so the charge might be even higher in April 2022.

If you are a business PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay away from BT, because of their mistake I got the contract cancelled and they want me to pay almost a £1000! This is just an easy way for them to rip people off, and this happened to other business I know too! Of course they can’t get access to any recorded call that would show I am in the right position! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE BT AT ANY COST

We were told by BT we HAD to migrate to their cloud phone system which has been appalling. We were promised it was not possible to lose the phones even if the broadband went down (which it does very frequently, it has to be one of the most unstable connections we've ever worked with) . Well lo and behold our broadband has completely failed and we haven't our phones. Our patients can no longer contact us and this is having a direct effect on our business. So, major problem should be fixed quickly. No, BT think it's acceptable to leave us for 5 days before they can get an engineer out to us. 5 days where patients are suffering and cannot get through to us. This company and their service are an absolute and utter disgrace - avoid at all costs uf you value your business!!

Corrupt and lying. I have a negative mark on my credit report due to leaving this bunch of insects for a miss-sold contract and a service they could not deliver on. My service was totally unusable (including my phone line), and three separate engineers finally confirmed a serious problem with the use of aging and corroding aluminium communication cables that become shorted in damp and wet conditions making any reliable service impossible. They still claim i owe them termination charges although sold to third parties who also closed my account once evidence was provided by myself regarding the ongoing and unresolved issues. BT themselves had actually closed my original complaint and refunded me for overcharges on termination but still mark me down on my credit report and expect me to settle for a service they can not provide.

BT is the worst company I dealt with as a customer in 30years. 2 weeks since the storm and they still haven’t fixed the cable outside the house. We called so many times and waited an hour for someone to answer the call. I was told we only have a landline with BT. We pay £500 per year for a Red Care Alarm system that is currently also affected. I was about to take a broadband with BT but friend of ours said ‘Stay away from that company.’. So glad I did. I don’t usually leave reviews but this time I would like to help others who choose to go with BT.

Terrible communication ie none. I of course understand that with the storm of just over 2 weeks ago there are a high demand of faults and problems but after an initial BT engineer assessment 5 days after the storm (23 Feb ) for a snapped WiFi cable literally nothing has happened . It is impossible to get hold of anyone and only by reluctantly filing a complaint can I give feedback. Needless to say from judging the complaint timeline no one has looked at it either or got back to us. Please just improve your communication it would prevent a lot of frustration and anger.

I got stitched up with a pathetic broadband line/ which never worked properly on top of that they offered me a 4g dongle at an additional cost of £10 a month which also didn't make any difference. We moved our business premises and wanted to keep the same no, they said it can be done over a cloud system and i must take their broadband service together. This is totally wrong i could have it from anyone else, I have canceled all my contracts with bt and i am paying £30 a month for much better broadband and cloud phone service. Stay away from this bunch of crooks.

BT committed to installation of broadband in my house on 10th December, after having ordered it in November. They failed to make their own deadline, and in fact still haven’t installed it, and we are now into February. I have had to contact customer services on many occasions, having to wait an average of 20-30 minutes in a queue, then having to repeat the whole saga over and over. I have registered at least 5 complaints, none of which have been resolved, despite the e-mails from BT saying that the issues were now closed, and that they were glad they were able to help. I have requested to speak with a manager, and this has been totally ignored. If they promise to install broadband by a certain date, DONT believe it. They don’t have the capability, having to rely on Open Reach to do the work for them, just like all the other providers, so you’d be better off going through one of the others. I am disabled, and rely on the internet for medical treatment, neadless to say, I’m not happy.

The worst BT broadband company in the UK I have tried to be a good customer for BT Boadband for over 15 years although I have always had problems with internet speed especially with WiFi, I was stupid to stay with them for a long time. If I call and ask for help, many of them hang up without explanation. I advise everyone better to choose someone else but no BT broadband. Really bad company Internet is very slow, If I could rate it O I would. Talk complete rubbish, tell you everything you want to hear and deliver nothing, Don't waist your time to customer service.
