For the most part I am happy with most of my Canadian Tire experiences but I do wish that when I get email notifications for sales or promotions from Canadian tire that I would be able to actually read them as about 50% result in a "Bad Request" message when I click on the offer. As a result I miss a lot of the correspondence that you send me. The message suggests that the link is too lengthy to process. Surely I am not the only person who experiences this. I'm sure that Canadian tire is missing out on a fair number of sales because of this issue. It would be very helpful to you and to me and other potential shoppers if this could be fixed.

The security guard at the cedarbrae mall location in Scarborough told me my purse was considered a large bag, and it's not allowed in the store - he said he has to take it from me, picked up a black mesh bag to keep it at the front with him. I said no and started to leave and he tried following me so I started to run. I locked my bag in my vehicle - which is just as scary considering the neighborhood I was in. I went back in, and the alarm in the turnstile went off saying no entry - this is at the entry of the store. There's no other way in! They let me in, and I still left empty-handed, they only had one broken box of the item I was looking for - meanwhile the website says 12 are in stock. I'll be going to Agincourt from now on.

I just went to the Canadian Tire in Alliston to purchase patio furniture for my wife. Was a full price unit plus an umbrella for $2,146.98. Neither were sale items, just the basic price even though they use RED signage to give the appearance it’s on sale. My family and I have spent thousands of dollars a year at this store, for the past 11-1/2 years. Because I didn’t have a lot of time, I went directly to customer service and purchased these 2 items and told the staff specifically that if the box is all beat up DO NOT bring it out to me, I won’t accept it. I couldn’t believe when they rolled up with a box so obviously beat up, must have been a return, it was barely taped close, every side was beaten up, discoloured, why would you even bring that to a customer?! Supposedly it was the only box they had in store even though on line it said there were 7 in stock and would be available for pickup by 4 pm today. Felt like the staff had zero cares about customer service. My time is valuable and I received No offer to fix the situation. Said they could get one the next day from their other warehouse 10 minutes up the road – I asked if I could pick it up there since I came in town specifically to pick this up, took time off work to do this so my wife could have it right away – if someone could come with me to do that or even drive separately – Nope, that wasn’t allowed. I don’t have time for another trip into town to pick this up so I cancelled the order and had it refunded to my card. Online price to deliver would be $110.00. After so blatantly disregarding my wishes, not to mention wasting my time and even the staff’s time, an offer to deliver at your cost should have been made at the very least. I find the past year or so that the customer service at this location has tanked. I believe there is a new owner and their lack of regard for their customers is evident at all levels of this location. I have always been a strong supporter of this Canadian Brand but this is not the first issue I’ve had with this store in the last couple of years, but this has really left a bad taste in my mouth and I have no desire to ever darken the doorstep again.

2 weeks ago I bought Dyson V15, sale person push me to apply Canadian Tire Master card so many benefits I gonna have, some nice promotion etc. I pay $1500 and sales person explain me I can return even if I use Dyson in 90 days. I was happy, gift to my mom. But mom didn’t want,I have to return..Of course we open box even didn’t use just try handle vacuum and it’s absolutely new. I can’t get my $1500 back only gift cart, and pay attention, gift card expire in one year. I am shock, I am not think I need any goods $1500 from Canadian Tire in year, but I have to use or I loose my money, and of course I have to pay credit card. Very upset and do not want have business with them any more.Plus two managers was brazenly ignore my problem.Never did that mistake's,be careful with customer service,so many think deceive people.

As far as I understand, all Canadian companies with their stupid policies are getting worse and worse.

I was in Canadian Tire yesterday and needed to use the toilet. I went looking for the ladies' bathroom but I found that the bathrooms were for 'gender neutral' persons. No where was there a women's bathroom, or for that matter a men's bathroom. When did we get all inclusive? Now we're trying to accommodate the minority and forget about the majority. Why not have bathrooms for the gender neutral persons and leave the women's bathrooms for women and men's bathrooms for men. I do not like to share the bathroom with other genders whether it be men or whatever else there is. As I was in the bathroom someone walked in on me. It may have been a man or a woman or whatever. I was very uncomfortable and did not like the experience. I think things have gone a bit too far. Please respect the wishes of the majority. Based on my experience that day, I am reluctant to return to Canadian Tire in Carlingwood. Without prejudice. Thanks,

Unable to get a refund on kitchen island cart that was damaged in box and drawers that were not square when assembled that wouldn’t fit into the unit. Inferior product. Offered exchange but not refund.

I was shopping in kemptville ct. I heard a man threaten a young girl employee. I reported it to anther employee, he said he would report it. Now I regret not doing so myself. I do not go to kemptville alot I do hope something was done and he is not there. If he is it goes to show what kind of place it is to work. Again I am sorry I didn't follow through

Never buy Canvas outdoor furniture from Canadian tire. I purchased a powder coated set in Sept 2023. It was tarped properly over the winter. The table is rusting already and Canvas customer service told me rust not covered under warranty. We used it for about a month. Absolutely ridiculous. Will never buy furniture from Canadian Tire again.

On April 26th, I visited CT Bolton store at 11am with a business inquiry. I was seeking a straightforward answer, either a 'yes' or 'no', and I was open to both responses. I was directed to the garden centre to meet with Mike, the General Manager. Our conversation took an unexpected turn when Mike made a peculiar comment about a $10,000 fine for doing business with Canadian Tire. The comment seemed nonsensical, so I lightly dismissed it. However, Mike took offense to this and became aggressive and confrontational. He accused me of having a bad attitude and being a poor employee, even though I am not employed by Canadian Tire. Ironically, he was exhibiting the very traits he was accusing me of - a bad attitude and poor employee conduct, especially for a General Manager. I decided to leave the situation by exiting through the garden centre into the parking lot. Mike continued his tirade, shouting across the parking lot and resorting to name-calling. Despite an apology from Canadian Tire, I find his behaviour unforgivable. I hope that this does not reflect the overall business practices of Canadian Tire.

Last fall I stored my summer tires at Canadian tire in Kirkland. At end of March, called to make appointment to switch to summer tires, first available spot was April 24! Quit a delay just to change tires both on rims!! While work was being done, I was presented with an invoice of $2200 (long list) which included all type's of repairs. I did not ask for a thorough analysis of my car just tire change! The invoice was adjusted to include only the pressing issues, now estimate was $1300 (short list)! Of course I took my car and tires and went to my regular repair shop. Long list contained many items that did not need to be replaced! No longer doing car business with them!!!!

Disappointing Experience with Incompetent Staff at Canadian Tire Cambie My recent visit to the Canadian Tire store on Cambie Street in Vancouver left me thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. I called ahead to arrange a headlight replacement, and Paula was initially helpful in scheduling an appointment for the next day at 3:30 PM. However, that's where the positive experience ended. Upon arriving at 3:15 PM, I was optimistic that my issue would be resolved efficiently. Unfortunately, that optimism quickly evaporated as the time dragged on. At 4:40 PM, Paula informed me that they needed to order the headlight as they had none in stock, adding another potential 30-minute delay. I reluctantly agreed to wait. As time continued to pass, I approached Ethan at 5:15 PM for an update, only to be told it would be another thirty minutes. By 6:00 PM, I was growing increasingly frustrated and expressed my concerns to Ethan. Then Sebastian the mechanic interrupted, and casually mentioned that the delay was due to me requesting the wrong headlight. This accusation caught me off guard, as I rely on the expertise of Canadian Tire staff for such matters. Feeling utterly patronized and frustrated by their lack of professionalism, I politely asked Sebastian to refrain from mansplaining or implying that I was at fault for the delay. To my disbelief, Ethan at the counter then took it upon himself to explain what "mansplaining" meant, further highlighting the dismissive and disrespectful attitude of the staff. In total, it took a staggering four hours for them to replace a simple light bulb, which is utterly unacceptable. Throughout the ordeal, Ethan's smug demeanor only exacerbated my frustration. The fact that the manager eventually offered a 50% discount as compensation for their abysmal customer service speaks volumes about the incompetence of the staff. I expected better from a reputable establishment like Canadian Tire, but this experience has left me questioning whether I'll ever return. It's clear that professionalism and customer satisfaction are sorely lacking at the Cambie location. Avoid at all costs unless you have hours to waste and a high tolerance for condescension and sexism.

I purchase some items at Canadian Tire out of convenience. However, their flyers and advertising are incredibly vague and I think purposely misleading. Rather than provide an actual price on many products, they provide an annoying advertisement that often says "up to 30% off on select models" with a wide price range noted in small print. They obviously are purposely trying to avoid price comparison with their competitors which fundamentally infers a lack of competitive pricing. Disappointing approach and no longer will get me down to the store as it is a waste of my time.

I'm a loyal card holder and I applied for a second card to travel. accepted and activated my card to Google wallet and then waited for my card to come.. it can and when I went to actually activate I was forwarded to a phone operator which said they actually did a 2nd review and declined it without telling me with out notice.. and I have the new card and welcome letter in front of me. When I spoke l to the manger she applaugized and Said ..nothing of value I feel the lack unprofessional people there need to be actually taught how to do there job and notify someone if they change a decision... I'm not mad about the card decline I'm mad that they couldn't reach out and say so .. up til now I thought customer service was great there but this blows my mind
