About Carphone Warehouse:

The Carphone Warehouse was founded in 1989 to bring mobile services to consumers. The market has always been complex and our aim from the very beginning has been to offer our customers simple, impartial advice while also offering outstanding value. As a result we have grown from a handful of stores operating exclusively in the UK selling mobile handsets and contracts, to a European-wide platform of over 1,500 stores in 10 countries, providing a wide range of mobile and residential telecoms services.

Miss informed by carphone witch led me to lose my samsung 7 edge, contacted carphone to ask two questions, one of witch i aksed if i can exchange handset if unhappy with the phone as i ordered online, and second question was would i be further credit checked witch was a concern, the answer i got was yes i can exchange and no i wouldnt be further credit checked on the strength of what i was told i let go of my old handset thinking i was safe as i was made to feel safe doing so from what i was told and later this turned out to be wrong, i have no lost my samsung egde 7 and when i made a complaint there best reply was to re train staff that was it, and now have to go to trading standards also with ID their own network i have continuous issues that dont get resolved i deal with incompitant and unprofessional people all the time always being miss led and nothing ever being resolved, get told one thing will be done and it done. i now have issues with exchanging my handset and changing my tarrif witch i did not peven pick, so stuck in a 2 year contract with a phone i hate and is not good enough to my last phone and on a tariff i never picked, if i cancel i am left with no phone worst expeience ever, it does go deeper and more things to say but this review would soon turn in to an essay. be very wary of carphone and ID they do NOT care for the customer or customer relations. i am apauled with the treatement i have gotten over a simnple exchange, and even 3 carphone advisoer i spend 7 hours with today in store think the serive they witnessed me have today was awful ad shouldnt be happening, i still have no resoloutoion and now forced to go to offcome or the odbusman to take things further as ive had enough of wasting my time the last 2 weeks have been a nightmere and very stressful.

I went in-store to upgrade my phone. I was convinced by a sales rep over the phone to take a better deal with him (who was very pushy) and was promised I would have the phone delivered the next day (today), including a free phone case and touchpad charger for a SAMSUNG S8. I waited at home all day for it which never came. I had to call DPD at 17:30 to track it. DPD couriers said it was due to nobody being home, however no courier came to my door, nor left a calling card. Further investigation revealed they were unable to deliver it because the basic delivery information was not accurately provided by Carphone Warehouse. After being pressured to upgrade over the phone, I had to wait 2 extra days due to Bank Holiday. DPD refuses to contact you due to data protection policy and it is left to me to sort this mess out when it should have been properly arranged. The parcel was left in Dagenham in a warehouse and DPD would not have informed me. After 2 hours of calls between CPWH and DPD, both refused to make a special arrangement to have the phone delivered at a time I would be home. I agreed to change the delivery to a store nearby and was assured delivery on Tuesday. I went into the store Wednesday morning, and the phone had not arrived. CPWH associates told me they would not notify me of its arrival and it would be my job to call them. I left disappointed and went home to find the phone had been left in my mailbox which is open to the street and is unlocked. Furious, I called DPD and they assured me that the phone was delivered to the store according to their system and was signed for. I tested CPWH with the same question, and their system was also inaccurate saying it was delivered to store. Neither company knew where the phone was! An investigation would have been launched and I doubt either company would have taken responsibility as they continuously point the finger when there are issues at hand. The package had my name and phone number and the courier did not notify me the phone arrived and it wasn't delivered to a neighbour as their policy states is protocol when the deliveree isn't present. I was even charged call charges when I called CPWH stores to locate the phone! These charges have been reimbursed along with the travel expense to the store. They offer no other compensation for the experience and they didn't include the phone case or charger promised at point of sale. This is now an issue I have to raise with customer service and continues to be unresolved...

Terrible - no after service. LG G4 had known manufacturing error. Palmed off by repair service without them returning to manufacturer. Was never notified that phone had been returned to shop and was sitting there for 4 weeks. No replacement phone provided. Don't use Carphone Warehouse.

Patronising/Smug and Dosile sales staff. "Nipped" in here the other day and was dealt with by Jes. Next thing I know I'm getting asked a ridiculous amount of unnecessary questions AND how much my sky broadband bill costs and shes signing me up to a sky tv contract because in her words "They will ring me in a few days and I can say I want to cancel anyway"!!! Erm, what happened to the days when you walked into a phone shopped and actually walked out with a phone!!!!? She was dosile and patronising to say the least. Not remotely interested in my needs as a customer but rather bumping up my package to what she wanted. I happily walked away empty handed and abruptly with the intention of buying a phone ONLINE knowing for starters it's; 1) What I want to buy 2) What I want to spend 3) Cheaper than Carphone Warehouse 4) Easier than Carphone Warehouse 5) Quicker than Carphone Warehouse 6) Not judgemental on my abilty to afford the cost of a handset (Yes Jes I can afford it FYI) Well done Jes with playing your part in the demise of highstreet shopping. Oh and on top of all that....coincidently I have received 6 calls from a cold calling mobile phone company asking me to buy from them so they clearly don't keep your details secure. So as you can tell, my experiance was........ lovely.......... .......................................

I took my phone to the carphone, leeds for screen replacement. A week later when I went there to collect the phone, the back cover was broken and wasn't latching properly. The repair attendant who had no idea what professionalism and customer service is (I don't know who is worse between him and Trum) told me there was nothing he could do about it. Equally bad, the phone wasn't checked to know the state of the repair because according to him, the battery failed to respond. It is strange that in the 21st centrury, an organisation couldn't send a text or email to its client to report challenges with services to be provided. And I ended up parting with 120pounds for this disservice.

pre ordered nokia phone and be aware that carphone warehouse let up to 10 times more customers pre order this phone than they could deliver, Sounds like Fraud to me!! The website forces you to leave a mobile number and now being pestered by EE to change network...coincidence, I think not. And no doubt my email address will be sold on by carphone warehouse to interested parties.Be aware that this company is not to be trusted!

Firstly, my nexus 6p it went faulty it had a defect in the system software so I popped into my local store and asked to see what they are able to do. They told me because its been year to your contract you no longer have insurance or warranty which I found strange. So i called customer service and they told i did have warranty left. Secondly spoke to a sales advisor and he put me on a new contract despiting him knowing that i already had a contract and did not tell me that i wouldve have to pay a termination fee . Lastly ordered a phone thrpugh the website and the website stated that the order shall be delivered to you tomorrow to the selected store, i visit the store and they said no it takes 1-3 working days. Got on the phone to customer service and they told me they shall deliver the parcel to my home address now the very next day.... funny enough i recieve an email stating the order has been despatch from the warehouse got on the phone to them again and they state the order has not even left thier own website but i still got a tracking number and everything. I am still solving the issue

Daughter brought a iPhone on o2 from car phone warehouse as a xmas present 2 years ago. This xmas Carphone warehouse sent me texts saying it was time to upgrade. As I did not want to upgrade I ignored them and assumed the o2 monthly bill would drop back to a Sim only tariff. Wrong! The text did not say that if you did not upgrade then you carry on paying the same amount, even though the phone had been paid for so now I have lost £125, which o2 or Carphone warehouse will not give back. My wife, who did her contract direct with o2 had her contract drop back to a sim only contract without problem. Do not bother with them and go directly to the network provider.

Took faulty phone back to the Poole branch at holes bay, they happily sent phone away for repair but after four weeks still not returned, after a battle with manager finally got replacement phone only for that one too last one hour before screen went blank, so took that one back and they replaced it with another make of phone, all seemed fine until a few weeks later when we had £800 taken from bank account supposedly to pay for the faulty phones? No joy in getting money back just keep fobbing us off with promises to pay it back, apparently they had a rouge employee setting up false accounts. STAY AWAY FROM POOLE BRANCH YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
