I have been with CPW (O2) for years. Last upgrade I was asked if I wanted to continue my insurance. I said yes. Roll on 18months and I lose my phone while on holiday. I call to make a claim. It turns out that the insurance was continued on my old phone that I don't have. WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT THAT???. So my insurance was invalid. I was refunded the premiums and used the amount to go towards paying for an upgrade so I could still replace my phone as quickly as possible as I need it for work. I ordered the upgrade. The phone was delivered when I was still away (I asked to collect from store but they insisted on delivery). As a result I got it three days later than planned and it impacted my work. When I do receive the phone its a smaller size than my previous one so I can't upload my previous backed up phone on to it. Apparently the CPW/O2 database didn't update that I had the larger size (not sure how this is my fault but that was the tone of the call). Now more questions with them telling me the incorrect information and me having to prove and recheck. So I called (spoke to four different people this time) and was told (eventually) that I had to go to a CPW store and could make the exchange at no extra cost. I get to the store. I am told there an extra cost of £140 and (when I suggest I change to a different contract to get a phone that is available in store) I have lost my rights to the 14 day cancellation notice because of the 'deal' I got. Apparently this was told to me on the phone call when I was in America. NB I said at the time the line was terrible but as always the customer pays the price. While in the store (and told the correct phone will arrive tomorrow) I ask if I should keep the SIM that was sent. They confirmed I should. Roll on the next day and I am charging my new phone BUT the SIM is locked. I phone CPW. Then get passed to O2; who have no record of that SIM and can't activate it. So now I am waiting for a new SIM. I have learned to not believe anything I am told by anyone at CPW or O2. However, I am held to everything I have said and am allowed no misunderstandings. This may be legal but it certainly isn't moral. I am told that the manager will call me in the morning but I'm not sure what number that will be on as they didn't ask. Do I need to remind them again I have no phone. I have spoken to over 20 people over two weeks. I am exhausted. I haven't detailed the amazing calls where they asked ME what the best deal I could get was and what I should do? Or the one where I was passed to insurance even though it was about my upgrade? Or the one where they just put the phone down on me? It has been two weeks. I still have no phone. I also have no faith in this god pair. They have me over a barrel and I have to pay. The two stars are for Bashir in Geeksquad, Andrew in Insurance, the manager and his support in the CPW Watford store and Neveli today in O2. Thank you. The loss of stars is down to Nez, Ashuri, and the many others whose names I didn't take because I kept believing what they said to me.

I ordered a phone online for my husband and received a email which said the phone would be delivered the next day but it didn't arrive on checking our emails I saw another email off car phone warehouse to say we needed to ring them to clarify some details so I rang them and explained I had done the order but was told they would have to speak to my husband. On my husband's return from work we rang again and I passed the phone to my husband so he could give the answers to all the details that I had given them in the first place, my husband did not know the phone number off by heart to his work phone but gave them the number for our landline which they had also requested on the application online, we where then told that because he did not know his number straight away that we would have to ring them a third time even though it had taken us ten minutes to get through to them the second time. I told them to forget the order. I have always got my phones through the car phone warehouse shops next time I need an upgrade I will go elsewhere. We can go online and get a loan in our account within five minutes and we get all this trouble trying to get a phone.

Traded my phone in at the end of Feb and still havent received the promised money for the device. When I call customer services they tell me that the trade in team dont talk to customers and that they'll email someone but i have to call back in 2 days. I get told the same thing every time. Nobody to escalate to as managers dont talk to customers either. Not recommended. Will never use again.

I ordered two huawei p20 phones for my family who didn't want them as a gift. I tried to return them to two different stores and was told it was "not working". I was then told to pay £10 to post the phones back which I didn't agree too and they eventually said they can send a returns label for free. Having returned the phones it has been a month now and I have only received a refund for one of the two phones. I intend to call tomorrow for probably the 6th time to sort this issue. Worst customer service I've ever received and nobody has even contacted me to apologise for this laughable service. Joke of a company and worse than buying off a private buyer. Disgusting company

I bought a phone from them. Their website is excellent. Their product was £100 cheaper than other companies, they were clear in delivery details and kept to the time they said they would deliver. Very impressed and would recommend to others

I have unfortunately only had problems with C.Warehouse. They occasionally sales call me to promote products & to upgrade & have consistently mis-sold me products. My latest upgrade seemed great, the deal was fine & I looked forward to receiving my new phone - at the store so I could get all of my details transferred from one phone to another. Sadly, the phone arrived at my home address which I'm never normally at but on the off chance happened to be when it arrived. The 'bundle' I'd agreed to buy was completely wrong - the phone case didn't fit my phone. They sorted this issue out after numerous calls. The sales advisor as a selling ploy told me I'd get £115 for my phone (which I told him had a cracked screen), but was told in store they'd only give me £65. I have spent a long time making phone calls to them & discovered that they've been debiting me £15 for about 4 years for insurance I'd cancelled years ago!!!! All in all, a terrible company who tell you that 'you should have done your research about how much a phone with a cracked screen would give you!' BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. COMPLETELY INEPT STAFF WHO ARE RUDE & SPEAK OVER YOU! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Had a most frustrating experience with dealing with the staff at CW, I asked to speak to a manger, was transferred to a store, waited about 6 mins wth music playing to then be informed that my call could not e taken. What a cxxp organisation, the last time I will buy a phone there!

Shop very busy, assistant dealing with 3 people at once. I asked for 4 - 8 GB data, after over an hour 'being served' I had to leave because I had to pick up children from school. Shop is 30 miles from my home. When I received my paperwork from Vodafone I realised that I had been sold 16GB data. Every time I rang the shop I got 10 minutes of music then cut off, cost extra £4 each call. Found a free phone customer service number and was told that they would email the manager to contact me. I did this 3 times over 2 weeks but no email. 4 more calls to the shop and still no answer. I have been told by customer service that as they're a retailer they don't give a 14 day cooling off period.Had I gone next door to the Vodafone shop I would have had 30 days to change my mind. Absolutely no help at all. I feel that the assistant recommended this package knowing that they wouldn't allow any changes and he would get a bigger commission. I am stuck with this for 2 years! Do not use these rip off merchants.

Helpful sales assistants and advisers AND They honoured a price tag on a new phone, which was not the same as their system was showing.

Please bear with this it's going to be a rant! So....I changed my phone contract to Vodafone 88 days ago after receiving appalling service form O2. Please remember 88 days it's important. Samm needs a new phone contract, so I went into Carphone Warehouse with him today to sort it out. Simple I thought, but oh no! I go through the whole process - pick the phone, pass the credit check etc. To be told I can't have the contact! 😣. Why? Because I haven't had my Vodafone contract for 90 days! It's their rule apparently! Thou shall not apply for 2 Vodafone contacts in 90 days. When I asked them why I am more of a fraud risk today than in 2 days time, surprise surprise they couldn't answer me! Classic case of computer says NO! Then to add insult to injury Carphone Warehouse informed me that applying for 2 mobile phone contracts in 90 days could adversely affect my credit rating. Something they neglected to tell me upfront. Nice one!

Utterly incompetent and disinterested staff. Failed promises on an order placed, no communications and inability to escalate why a handset paid for can’t get delivered. Utter rubbish.

Never ever go here! The only thing they care about is their sale. After that, no one cares and no one takes any accountability. I’m shocked at how appalling their service is. I was told I’m due for a free upgrade, and to make a long story short, I never received a phone. They have however changed my tariff! I’ve spent hours on the phone and visited the Canary Wharf branch multiple times. 4 weeks later, Still nothing! You can’t complain to customer service, apparently their managers are never available and their link to submit a complaint on the website doesn’t work!!! I will never deal with them ever again and made sure I spread the word around so that others don’t fall in to the same trap I did!!

Went into Solihull Branch on the 7/4/18 due to phone stopped working. The team was rude and unwilling to help when my iPhone was broken, I had been to the apple store a few minutes before and had a report about the hardware fault, the staff didn't even bother to ask if I had insurance/cover, they just said tough luck it will cost £300 to repair and when my father asked about the consumer law the staff laughed in his face and said it didn't matter as it will still cost me. They would not listen about the fault and only cared about trying to sell me a new contract that was inappropriate to what I need or hand over money to repair the phone, the way the staff acted they might as well have stuck their fingers up at us, as that was the attitude we got. We will never shop in the Solihull branch again and very disappointed that this will be the end of a number of loyal years with Carphone Warehouse. Due to the poor service we received.

I bought Samsung Galaxy S9+ from them on pre-order. Because they were offering free wireless charger. First they have said that they will send it later. 3 weeks passed and yesterday I asked about it. What did they say? They said that they are out of stock so unfortunately they can not send and they are not compensating me (of course!) with something else.. Such an amateur company. Please do not buy anything from them.
