As a loyal customer I was expecting great service. The carshop in Cardiff used to be brilliant however it’s now beyond the joke and will never use again. Car was not prepared properly, both Cardiff and Doncaster were arguing who would fit the repair bill as car was shipped down from the Doncaster branch. Young lying salesman had to be put in his place when pointing out paint issue.”slot as seen nonsense”. Cars been in for repair for three weeks and nobody contacts you. Phoned 12 times so far and even sales experience team don’t get back to you. Sorry but you were once brilliant, but now money is put in front of customer service. No faith in you at all.

Won't let you look at any cars stopped from going in 3 sales staff hanging around outside told to look online instead. Went a mile down the road. Purchased 2 cars. . How they are in business I will never know. Having previously worked at car sales I found this to be most bizarre. Any way after reading all these reviews I feel I was lucky I didn't get in as I would have been a very unhappy customer. Can't see them lasting long in today's climate they need to buck up their idea's. If I treated my customers this way I would be on universal credit by now. Shocking company. Cardiff branch.

Not even worth a star. Bought a car from the Manchester branch, paid £150 for a car to be transferred from Swindon branch, for the car to get lost. Over 2 weeks to eventually collect the car, for the car to be filthy inside (abit worrying with the Covid pandemic) and also several marks on the car, on the paint work, hole in the carpet inside. Promised £150 refund as a good will gesture, and advised up to 5 working days for it to show in my account via BACS, now on 11 working days, no sign of money. My emails are being ignored and promised several phone calls back, still no joy. Branch managers not interested. No customer service what so ever, all they want is your money. Definitely won't be returning or recommending car shop to anyone. Been a complete joke from start to finish.

Poor customer service The point of a review is to give an honest opinion good or bad. Should you choose to use Car Shop (Wakefield) then do so with extreme care. A car I purchased less than 12 months ago was issued with a "serious defect" at the recent MOT. This should have been picked up before it was sold, but the stance of Car Shop is that it has gone over its 90 days warranty, and they gave it a clean bill of health before it was sold. So to overcome that I would strongly advise anyone that before the 90 days are up you get your vehicle INDEPENDENTLY checked so you can get it to back to them, because if not you are well and truly on your own. The extended warranty that i purchased is worthless, as the only way I could get the vehicle back to the Car Shop would have been to have it transported, so the repair work is now done at a cost to myself of over £700. I won't even go into the wrong wheel nuts being fitted to the vehicle, and the wrong ones ordered when i took it back a week after it was purchased. So there you go! As they say in the advert "you do the maths"

It's a bloody rough company, I purchase a BMW 5 series listing price on website was £9000/- the salesman at Northampton put so many unnecessary extras which I didn't pay attention to and got the value up to £12000/- and paying finance ended up to around 1500 £ so was spending 250/month plus another 150 monthly insurance and additional 10£ some collisions insurance and also charged 1000 some RAC breakdown cover so just robbed me staying in Manchester wanted to return the car initially because of 14 days return policy they said car is from Northampton so u driven it we will charge you mileage and so if u want to return you have to pay 700 £ to return Including admin fee and mileage, decided to keep it but later after few months after purchasing in October went to their Manchester branch in March said can return or exchange I decided to exchange initially but after getting stuck with covid situation ended up with the car for 3 months went back in June to return informed me we don't take any car back now but initially before that told me to drive to Northampton and return it I said why and then they said in Manchester also we cant take back as change of policy I lost close to £5000/- just because of this decision and carshop didn't spare me for this not helped me sort it.Dont ever deal with them unless you want to get ripped off finance

AVOID AT ALL COST Bought a car on 4th March 2020 it was never valeted so went back within 3 month warranty on 19th of March for the roof not fitting flush on the convertable and also the windows are intermittent on lowering and hiring the roof, so on the day they re opened 1st of June get a phone call to say it's ready for collection to find no work has been done it's not been valeted the spring is still not flush a young lady at Doncaster store telephoned me today to say they wont be able to fix the roof as it will cost a couple of thousands but they will have a look it will be valeted I asked if I could have a courtesy car as I dont live local she told me it would take a couple hours to look at it and valet it and to go grab a coffee at lakeside as I would not be allowed to wait their due to covid 19... really un happy with the service paying a lot of money a month .. Their happy to take your money but not carry out their warranty promise because everything I have said is wrong and needs rectifying and that said they would sort the roof as discussed at point of sale. Every thing that has a fault is apparently mot passable and I think whilst my car has been in their garage they have reversed into something but I wont be able to prove that... Added photos of flush fitting and not so flush fitting when roof down The window that didnt go down but driver side did when lowering the roof The lovely gleaming valeted car.. that clearly has not been done as paper still on floor in the back and the new crack on rear bumper that I know wasnt there at purchase as I took a photo the day I bought it as I did on the 1st of June the crack is on rear bumper driver side zoom in for show. I will take this further if they do do the promise I've been extended 1 months warranty as my car was in lock down for 10 weeks.. they should give me 3 months it a disgraceful Doncaster branch.

The Car failed with in 2 Months - avoid this rip off company this is a Note to all people that maybe thinking of buying a car from The Car Shop 3 Station Rd, Rochester ME2 4AX. after only 2 months the Jeep I purchased developed ABS fault, Gear box fault Clutch fault fly wheel fault Anti Roll bar fault, costing over £2625 to get fixed even under Warranty which only paid out £1300 i had to cover the rest , they did not offer to help and would not except responsibility under The Consumer Rights Act 2015 . so taking court action against them would cost more in the long run so had to drop the case- im not the only one who had problems with this company feel free to check consumer reports

Made enquiries about a car prior to lockdown. Reserved said car online during lockdown after several calls etc. Appointment made over 2 weeks ago for today. Had several calls last week I felt were trying to bully me out of buying said car. Turn up to be asked "what do you want?". Advised car no longer has 2 keys and it is in the garage compound for repairs. Funnily enough we could access that side so know it was gleaming and ready to go, tyre slik on wheels etc. No apologies, nothing. Waste of time, had to make arrangements to get a babysitter for 2 young children and 40 mile round trip. Disgusting. If true why didnt they have the decency to call and cancel appointment. I feel they had another buyer they can make more money from! Manchester branch btw!

Just don't buy from carshop. I would buy from anyone and everyone else before carshop. Once they got your money. Your on your own. Mechanics with 20 years experience?? At what I've yet to find out. My car went there. I paid . Still broke. Took it back. They said. Oops we fix it. Two days later come pick your car up. Nothing wrong with it. I go down to pick it up. Still broken .I show a manager. Oh yeah. Thats deff broke. Leave it here. Approx 6 days later. Now its fixed. I travel all the way to pick it up. Still broken. Bring a Manager out and show him. Yep. That's deff still broke. Leave it again. 3 days later. Uhm we can't fix. You need to take to audi. Cost me 1200 quid to fix. Job done. Asked carshop for my money back. They told me to whistle for it. Bunch of clowns. Avoid at all costs.

I went to pick my new car up and it hadn't had a valet the number plate was still hanging off , the faulty tyre had allegedly been changed but since getting it home I find it hadn't been changed , there wasnt any car mats in or fire extinguisher as advertised, I asked about these things and they assured me I would receive them . I had a 3 month warranty with the car.. I rang the Carshop and told them that I couldn't run the car because of the faulty tyre and because of the pandemic would my warrenty start when the pandemic was over because the car is sat in the drive because of the pandemic restrictions and the tyre that keeps deflating , the lady on the phone told me that what ever I report in the 3 months I could get done when they open for business but she couldn't answer my question about the warrenty starting after the pandemic, still waiting for a call ..

THEY SELL FAULTY DEATH TRAPS AND WILL IGNORE YOU so where do I start ? I purchased a car from the Swindon branch on the 23rd of January 2020, it was the most long winded and stressful experience I have ever had in my life it took one week of constant chasing as I was making phone calls and sending emails every single day up until receiving the car. The sales person I originally dealt with completed my application over the telephone within minutes of enquiring about the car, after this I was completely left in the dark about when the car would be ready for me to go and collect as the person would ignore all of my calls and would never be available, this would then leave me to make a complaint via their online chat application on the website which would then suprise surprise result in a phone call from the sales person who would then give me an update on the car it’s almost like they are scared in communicating. It was a disaster from the beginning as I had tried to arrange for the car to be delivered from Swindon to Manchester but it took around 2 day’s for someone to even acknowledge the request so instead of waiting Even longer I had to force an appointment at the Swindon branch (150 miles away from Manchester) as I was told this would allow me to collect the car rather than waiting an extra 7 days for delivery. I turned up at the Swindon branch around 11:30 a.m and it was as if they wasn’t even aware that I was arriving to collect a car as they were running around like headless chickens preparing paperwork, I didn’t manage to leave the store until around 5 pm that day and I was physically and mentally exhausted from the whole experience. It doesn’t end there, Upon driving the car home from Swindon I could tell that the car hadn’t been prepared to be collected as it was even clean and even the plastic sign with the price of the car was left on the floor on the passengers side and the parking sensors were not working but I just wanted to get home so I didn’t bother going back to the store before my journey home. After an hour or so of driving back on the motorway the car started to violently shake and vibrate which caused me to pull into a service station to check if I had a flat tyre but after checking all tyres they were all in good condition which left me puzzled as to what was causing the problem. The violent shaking would come and go at various speeds but it just kept getting more frequent and got to the point where felt scared and unsafe especially on a motorway, I booked an appointment with the car shop over the telephone so they could look at the car as I was a very unhappy customer with a faulty car, after waiting 10 days I found out on the day of the appointment the person had booked me into the Swindon branch when I specifically told them I live 2 miles away from the Manchester branch!!! After calling them they then told me I had to wait an additional 19 days to get booked into the Manchester branch. By this point the car was literally falling apart, the car would start to squeal/squeak very loudly and would make a whining noise when making turns, it was embarrassing it was as if I was driving around in a 40 year old rust bucket not what you expect from a car that you have had for a few weeks, the steering caused concern and made me feel unsafe so I had left the car parked outside my house patiently waiting for my appointment. After waiting 27 days I finally got my car to the Manchester branch on the 17th of March I was then took out by a guy who test drove the car to see what was causing the problem, he took the car out and instantly noticed a number of problems and upon returning back to the store told me he didn’t want me to drive the car back home as the car was unsafe (I cant remember his name but couldn’t fault the guy he was sound), I was told I’d receive a call within a day which I then surprise suprise never received. Im still chasing them now and about to report them to trading standards and activate section 75 with my credit card company unless they exchange it!
