Having read previous reviews I can understand people’s frustration. Our charger was part of a deal with Mercedes Benz. We got the car at the end of March and it wasn’t until the end of July before tha charger was fitted and working. The original process involved sending several photos of our premises in the application which wasn’t easy.it waould so much easier and customer focused to send out a surveyor who can tell you exactly what needs to be done. A few days later a copy of an email to Northern Power asking them if anything was needed before the installation. NP were asked to copy us with their reply. A month later BP let us know what was in the reply that we never were copied into. NP said we had to contact our supplier and an electrician to ensure the house electrics could cope. After having a couple of electricians visit plus contacting our supplier it was decided that a 100 amp fuse was needed in the meter box, but neither electrician could see if anything else was needed. Eventually after sending NP more photos of the meter box they decided that the fuse could be put in which they charged over £100. At this point we had had a couple of emails from BP asking if this installation was still going ahead we replied that at last NP were happy that we proceed. Finally an engineer came and installed the charger however having installed and tested it it was found that it needed more protection from the local voltage or something like that . 10 days later the new part was installed and finally after 4 months we finally have a working charger!! Whilst not all the delay was down to BP they did not really manage the process, some of delay was NP and at one stage there were seven different parties involved. Hopefully as more and more people switch to electric vehicles someone will see sense and listen to these comments. It was particularly annoying when asking some others about their experience and finding it only took a few days to get their charger installed!

Experience was mixed. Initial application fast and money taken. Waiting times with call centre very long and also they advised incorrectly that I needed isolation switch. Installation went well. I still do not have my electrical work certification. BP Pulse need to urgently review customer service and processes as would not recommend to others

Excellent electrical EV installation by a very competent pleasant and friendly electrician who was very helpful and advised best location and how to operate economically.

The actual installation of the charging unit was excellent BUT the process of getting there was totally tortuous! I find it hard to believe that BP Pulse still has any business! Customer Support: Dreadful; No communication with customer as to what is going to happen & when AND apparent complete disregard for the angst caused to the Customer by their non-communication & lack of support. It was THE most frustrating experience ever. The Surveyor I had to have AND the installers were all Freelance and were wonderful but even they expressed their exasperation with their dealings with BP Pulse. Thank goodness I won’t have to repeat this experience. The company doesn’t appear to understand Customer Relations and their right to know what is to happen and when……

Took weeks and weeks to get installed , although part of car purchase had to pay hidden extras, the initial ‘quick’ online application which your site says takes 15 minutes took nearly an hour and I am IT savy, so goodness only knows how someone with less capability would cope ! Finally installed 10 weeks after purchase of car.

The engineer phoned to say he would be with me shortly, did an excellent installation, which was very neat and Tidy. Protected the hall carpet and cleaned his working area. He was extremely polite and went through all instructions to my complete satisfaction.

The Electrical engineer was professional and friendly. He explained what everything was for. He cleaned up inside and out when He had finished. Explained that of I have any issues to get in touch immediately.

I found with bp pulse their seems no communication amongst themselves . We had to take pictures and answer all these questions before they even think about coming out . Eventually a fitter came out and half did it and left , a week later I phoned to ask what’s happening because it’s not working and they said they must have lost the paperwork . After lots more phone calls a fitter came out , a very nice young man explained how it works and was very apologetic about them losing the paperwork etc .

Don't bother trying to get a charger installed. After 3 months plus completing the relevant paperwork and sending further information requested we have got no where. I have tried to contact customer services on 3 occasions. 1st occasion on hold for over an hour I gave have up 2nd occasion managed to speak to a customer adviser who informed me that the review team would be in touch but no contact after 3 weeks 3rd occasion spoke to a customer adviser again told that the review team would be in touch. I have also sent e-mails requesting an up date. It has now been over a week and no communication from BP pulse We have given up and had to go through the lengthy process of completing the paperwork and asking another company to carry out the installation. Poor customer service stock answer just to get you of the phone ,if you can get through. No communication they obviously do not want to carry out the work severely disappointed. They are lucky to get even one star

After uploading numerous photos it took months to get the charger installed. The only helpful person was someone called Olga ( thank you) after downloading the home charge app it doesn’t work properly it says my car is not connected then it says my car isn’t charging even though it is. So I’ve fitted my own time clock to switch the charger on after 12.30 for my Octopus energy low rate. Come on Bp sort it out.

Apart from the overly complex and time consuming process to upload the numerous photos needed prior to making arrangements, and that only one fitter arrived believing it was a sub-15 metre cable run (it should have been two fitters because the cable run I had paid for was actually 28.5 metres), the fitting was arranged quickly and was done exceptionally neatly (although it took the single fitter 9 hours on one of the hottest days of the year!). All works very well, I received the certificate by e-mail a few days later, and I am very happy with the final product.

It has taken bp pulse 8 months to install my home charger after I had paid them in full.The job was completed by a outside contractor to my satisfaction, after I threatened legal action.I am currently having problems with the home charging app,have spoken to your staff and also written to you but to no avail, very frustrated with the whole thing.

The installation was completed very efficiently and I am happy with how it performs. However, the process of uploading photos and providing information was very poor - I ended up submitting the same information three times before I was contacted and an installation date agreed. The price charged for the unit and installation was low compared with other quotes I received. I am still waiting for the safety certificate that was promised by the installer.

We have ordered a BP pulse home charger via Motability and VW.I did the online survey and took loads of photo's .The installer turned up on time and within about 1 minute decided that he couldnt do the job because he needed parts.He spent 2.5 hours on the phone and then left our house.He did try his best.BP pulse are not very good.They have let us down. Very poor.

I found the telephone team helpful and friendly. Once the charger was paid the installation date was quickly agreed. The first technician arrived promptly and carried safety checks. Once he was happy to proceed with the electrical works the second technician was onsite to agree the cable runs. The works were carried out in good time leaving the site clean. The technician explained how the internal fuse box for the charger worked and gave instructions on how to use the external unit, cable care and security.

Good job by the fitter on the day - courteous, prompt and efficient. But the office side does seem to struggle to provide clear, timely info. And the wait time on the phone is excessive.
