On 18 December 2022 I ordered an integrated fridge freezer, with delivery and installation arranged for 20 December 2022. On the day the installer found the fridge was too deep for him to fit and said he often had issues with the specific manufacturer (Samsung). Rather than leave me without a fridge freezer over Christmas as the old one was broken, he left it (with instructions how to turn on in a few hours) and assured me I would be able to order a replacement in due course. Despite his assurances I also called customer services (0344561000 - 14 minutes) at 13:30 GMT, I made it clear what I had been told by the installer, and that the fridge would be used in the interim, and it was confirmed to me that I would subsequently be able to exchange the item for one that would fit. The next day I again called customer services (03445611234 - 24 minutes) at 11:32 to re-confirm the situation and was assured an exchange would be fine. At no point in these conversations was there any mention of the bizarre and frankly baffling policy of replacements needing to be within a 10 per cent price threshold of the original item, although in my case, as it panned out, that was the least of my concerns. Having researched potential alternatives I called again on 29 December 2022 (03445611234 - 43 minutes) at 12:54 explaining I needed to exchange. I was informed that the replacement product I had chosen was outside the 10 percent price threshold for exchanges. This made no sense to me, I tried another product and was told the same thing. I then said I wanted a refund and when it became apparent I had used the fridge freezer (as instructed by the delivery team), I was told it would not be eligible for exchange or refund, effectively leaving me with a £650.00 fridge which didn’t fit my kitchen. As you can imagine this was a highly stressful development considering I had acted on the instructions of Currys employees throughout. I tried to explain my position during this and two subsequent calls (13:48 – 44 minutes 14:32 – 45 minutes) and was met with a complete lack of empathy and no attempt whatsoever to do anything other than get me off the phone. The various operators I spoke to were terse and unwilling to discuss anything outside the ‘process’ despite my situation being wholly the result of actions and advice of Currys. Finally I demanded the installation fee be refunded and was offered that an ‘engineer’ could be booked in to remedy the situation. I accepted this and the visit was booked for 31 Dec 2022 between 12:20 and 16:20. On the 31 December 2022 at approximately 13:00 I tracked the status of the visit online and found the job had been marked as complete at 12:14! This obviously had not occurred. I called at 13:01 to explain this but was placed on hold and then cut off. I called again at 13:06 (50 minutes) and having been put on hold by one operator, only to be picked up by another and starting again was eventually told that despite the job being marked as complete, I would receive a visit on the day. I believe this was a lie designed purely to get me off the phone. No visit occurred that day. Being forced to deal with the situation myself I subsequently fitted the fridge/freezer successfully which means the whole situation could have been avoided with a bit of effort (and less terrible advice) from the original installation team, who I foolishly gave a £10 tip, thinking I had been given a good service. on 3 Jan I recounted my experience to the online chat and twitter DM simultaneously and managed to get the installation fee refunded. I also claimed a price match as the fridge was cheaper at AO.com. Neither of these payments can be considered as compensation. An email sent to the Chief Executive, also on 3 Jan, detailing my experience has not been replyed to. This experience, over the festive period and while suffering from Flu, was highly stressful and took up many hours, and I cannot see a situation where I will use Currys again. It is, in fact, more likely I will go out of my way to inform people of the risks involved of making a major purchase when any problems are ‘dealt with’ by a disinterested call centre based overseas.

I purchased an Xbox and an additional controller on Currys website on Black Friday, happy that I could get a good deal. It was supposed to be my son's Christmas present. I received confirmation of the order and an order number. A few days later, when I didn't receive any information regarding delivery time, etc. I contacted them. The guy on the online chat said that the order had been cancelled for some unknown reason, possibly having no stock available. I visited their branch in York; the customer service lady could not find my order on the system. She rang their central customer service office, and after a while, she accepted their solution of a refund, without even checking with me!! I didn't want a refund, I wanted my item. She said there was no other alternative and that the refund will be processed in 3-5 business days, indicating that it will most probably take more than 5 business days. She also said that I could complain to their customer service, but she was certain I would get nowhere with my complaint. A refund means that I will have to pay £80 extra to buy the same items elsewhere. This is not the end of the story; nearly a month has passed and I have not even received my refund!!! This ruined our son's Christmas and made me so furious and upset. Currys is a horrible company. I'm addressing Currys: If you don't have stock, why do you take people's money and hold onto it? Is this anything other than charlatanry and fraud? Do you think it's fair to suck up people's little money in the current economic climate with these horrible methods? PLEASE AVOID CURRYS!! Even if you see a good deal, don't trust them and be deceived. I haven't got my money back yet and they don't give a damn about it.

I bought a laptop at the Brighton store that was in fact, used by someone else before as it had the previous user's details still stored on it including their passwords and bank card details. When I took it back to the store and showed it to them, a staff member in the store suggested that this laptop may have been bought online, returned as unused and no one checked it. Utterly unprofessional for such a large retailer to have such low standards of service.

Awful customer service. What happened to Currys - in the last few years they have gone downhill. No staff on the shop floor and the ones that are there are useless, rude and dont have a clue. Bought a vacuum, had it delivered, it was broken. Went into Currys in Hayes and the customer service rep was uninterested and verging on the edge of rude. Said Currys would email me with a pickup date and confirmation of replacement - this email was meant to be the following Monday. By Wednesday no email received - went back into the shop, the lady on the customer service counter rang through to the customer service group, again they promised an email next day with pickup and delivery details. This email did not get sent. Waited 5 days, rang customer services - option 2- the person on the phone had no idea who to contact, kept saying she didn't know and couldn't help - all she kept saying was it will get sorted next year. This has been going on now for nearly a month and not one single person has been helpful or exhibited any kind of customer service. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM CURRYS - they take your money and do not follow through, Now we are left without a vacuum and not idea when this will be resolved.

Absolutely fuming 😤 Absolutely terrible customer service. We will not use currys again. Purchased a TV as a Christmas present, which arrived today with a broken screen. Did a live chat with customer service as we wanted to exchange it at a store tomorrow, to be told by a very unsympathetic Currys rep that we can't return to store, we have to send back ourselves via dpd and it will take at least 14 days to get the exchange. And then be sent a new tv via dpd who broke the first one! She refused to let us chat to a manager. Now we have to send a huge tv back by dpd and wait long after Christmas until we can get a new one for the Christmas present. Not getting an exchange, we will go elsewhere. Thanks for ruining our Christmas Currys. NOT HAPPY

They turned up today with my new washing machine. I'd paid for them to take away the old one and install the new one. They did neither. On phoning they tell me the extras I'd paid for had been rescheduled. For 6 weeks time! So I'm looking at a new maching machine sitting idly in the middle of my kitchen floor.

Most awful customer service experience. Ordered an iPad online. Received order confirmation email. No delivery. When chased the delivery was told that the order did not exist. Apparently they had a technical issue. The money was taken though. Over 4 weeks and still no refund. Tried all forms of media to get it sorted but no chance. Ignoring emails, social media comments and messages and phone calls are hung up on. Don’t ever buy anything from Currys most awful company.

Ordered printer. Paid extra for named day delivery. Received email day prior stating I would be given 'one hour' estimate of delivery time by 11am on day of delivery. Sat in all day, received email 2.46 pm stating delivery delayed until following day with same 'I would be given 'one hour' estimate of delivery time by 11am on day' - now have to take another day off work on off chance they may deliver. Tried ringing, after 5 minute loop got recorded message to ring courier! Problem is the courier doesn't provide a number or email, so how can I! Total abdication of responsibility by Currys, my contract is with you Currys, not the courier! I would ring courier, but they don't give a number or email. Why did I pay the extra delivery when Currys can't fulfill? Are Currys going to refund extra delivery cost? Er, no because I paid with £20 voucher and rest using card, I am only entitled to 64% on card and rest in another voucher? Unbelievable! Are Currys going to refund a days wages for extra day off to take delivery? No, I'll have to take that hit. Currys you are the worst! When item finally delivered following day, top tape on box split, had package been dropped or just tampered with? After telephoning complaint yesterday I was offered refund of the 'extra' paid for delivery, problem is Currys didn't have the decency to refund the full amount - 36% given as a'voucher' for Currys despite me stating I would never shop with Curry again. Currys you really are a despicable retailer. My advice, find a proper retailer, because Currys don't give a damn. Currys have obviously given up - will Currys be the next to go under? If Currys can't improve customer service they probably will be.

The worst shopping experience ever. Ordered a television. Delivered wrong one. Returned it within hour. Assured correct one would be delivered. Heard no more. Contacted customer services. They said go back to shop and collect a television. Three hours spent in shop who refused to give me the television I'd paid for. Unpleasant shop manager said "There's no way you're taking a television out of here today" even though we were standing next to half a dozen of the very model I'd paid for. Said new television would be delivered sometime in the future. Not very hopeful. If there's a worse place to shop I hope I never enter it's doors. Even the staff hate the place. No compensation offered. No incentive to shop there again. Been sixteen days now of bashing my head against a brick wall. As a pensioner who just had covid and then been hospitalised after two small strokes I really don't need this stress. Some companies will go to great lengths to make their customers feel valued. Some companies only pay lip service to that ethos. To make things worse, when I returned the television to the shop I was offered no proof that I had returned it, and was assured that the problem was solved, new television on way. Now I'm told that they won't refund me because I have no proof of return. Currys have just told me they're keeping my money. I'm a pensioner, I've just had two strokes, I'm on my own and don't know where to turn.

Returned the item to store but they don’t want to receive the return. Customer service don’t want to provide a label so I can leave it with a courier of their choice. Ruined my weekend with what should be simple task. Useless. No email to confirm return request. Customer services say they have no use of their own reference numbers provided for the returns. I think they just don’t want returns and they make every human possible effort to prevent returns. Do no recommend. This is not how a serious business operates.

Purchased oculus quest from Currys on line , as they didn’t have it in store ,, so after 3 days it came by dpd couriers , opened this to set it up for my granddaughter but shock horror when opened no hand controllers only a head unit , I called Currys customer service and they opened a request to return it , that day I went into store and purchased a ring door bell and told the assistant about the controller’s missing , she said just wait there I will ask my manager if we can exchange it, she came back and said if you can fetch it and bring it in store we will honour the on line price and exchange it for you , so I got in my car went home and then returned to the store with the oculus quest, on arrival saw the same assistant which said I’m sorry the other manager has now said we cannot do it sorry about that. So Currys arranged collection for a exchange or money back. Dpd collected and gave me tracking number, now can’t be tracked requested a manger call back called everyday still not had call back or money back or replacement product , I have a recording on the ring doorbell of courier collection , but Currys don’t want to sort it out and just keep saying a manger from escalation will ring you. Six days no one phoned me from Currys or no refund or replacement. Currys. Ripped me off I have now got to contact PayPal and my bank. Don’t buy as customer service don’t want to help. Excuses on daily basis from them leaving me the customer at a financial loss of £349.99 for the vr and out of pocket travelling to and from store and phone calls. DONT BUY RIPOFFS regards mr walker

Had an oven delivered for my elderly parents, which was left on the floor and their old oven removed. Even though we had paid an £90 installation fee they told them to get an electrician. It is virtually impossible to speak to anybody. I even took the afternoon off work to visit a store and still couldn’t get answers. ( it seems to be something which is regularly done ) . A refund takes 3 to 5 working days so with the weekend it’s going to be 7 days before we will get our money back, and nobody has any concerns about the fact that it’s still sat their and it may be days before we get an engineer out. When they phoned me about my negative feedback I asked why they had taken their cooker, even though we hadn’t paid for the service, they told me to report it to the police and said he was cutting me off and he did

Currys 15.10.22 I am appalled with the return procedure for Currys, I had to chase them up several times for a return Label. Eventually I did speak to someone who was good at her Job (unlike others). On the 19/10/22 the lady even called me back to make sure I have received the return label, she could not understand why I had not been sent as it was on the system. She also gave me a complaint reference number. She did apologise for the level of service of I had received from the call centres. Currys return policy is an absolute shambles and their call centres are awful, you are kept waiting for ever and a day, I have never known a return like it from any other retailer. My Purchase date was the 11/10/22 and my refund was finalized on the 12/11/22 When I purchased the item I received at least 11 emails from Currys but when I wanted to return the item I had to chase them all the time and they would not email me back. Currys Made the return so stressful and difficult. More to the point why do they not email you the reference number for your complaint instead of asking you to make a note of it in the call on the 19/10/22. I have shopped at Currys for as long as I can remember and this is the worst experience I have ever had, Disgraceful. I tried my best with their call centres and even tried to chase up my complaint and have still not heard a word from them (15/11/22). No one had an Idea or a clue. i am done with curry's will not shopped with them again ..

Went in store and bought a lenovo pc. Decided to exchange it for a more expensive acer touchscreen pc. The guy refunded me onto a gift card for no reason!!! I then found the acer pc £174 cheaper on amazon phoned twice before going to the store to claim partial refund according to their price match snd made some excuse not to give the price difference. Spent £20on cab fares there and back wouldn't give that either. Bunch of crooks. Never again.

I purchased a 75" TV and sound bar that was free with the TV in the Black Friday deal, the sound bar stopped working after 2 hrs, I took it back for a replacement and the same again. I took that back and wanted to up grade and pay the difference, I was told this is not possible and so the TV and the sound bar had to be collected. This was arranged for Tuesday last week, the truck arrived but could not collect due to no wrapping for the TV, I had explained the packaging had been disposed of originally. So the collection was rescheduled for Saturday just gone, I got a text to confirm, 2.30 - 4.30pm so all good, then I get a call from the drive at 2pm saying he will be with me in 30 minutes, I get the tv and all the bit by the front door to make it easier for the driver. At 4.30pm I tried to call the driver to see if he was lost but no answer. 5pm I get a text to say "Great new your tech in now in stock and will be delivered on Tuesday" I never did get the TV collected!!!! So I have wasted 2 days over this when really a simple sound bar upgrade would of done the trick for me. I have since got a new TV and sound bar from Argos. Lets see what happens on Tuesday 22nd November......

Claim to price match any UK retailer in store or online but that's complete rubbish. When I asked for a price match they initially tried to suggest the competitor 'didn't accept returns' which was nonsense and then said 'we don't price match with this retailer'. This from Curry's website "You won’t get it cheaper. Full stop. We’ll price match any product against any other UK retailer, online or in store. We’ll also match discount codes." Not good at all.

The worst ever customer service to deal with! Honestly! End of Sep, I ordered a Dyson with a collection from the store. When I came for the product, the hoover was faulty, but the assistant tried to tell me that this was a design(!) and later forced me to take it and swap for a new one in a different store. Didn’t agreed and got a refund after 5days. A week later, the price has been increased for another 100£ so I had to wait until now with purchase same product once again. While ordering the product, an error came up on my screen “something went wrong,we cannot process it”. I didn't get any order confirmation but money 359,99£ has been taken from my account! I called customer service and was advised to wait for 48h. Nothing happened; I called again to put in place a claim and was promised I’d get everything over email- no didn’t get anything. The Assistant also refused to email the bank to cancel the payment to make it smoother. At that moment 5days passed, I do not have product (which based on order I should have Already) and I do not have my money, £359,99! Redicilous, poor and very unprofessional service! Do not recommend it to ANYONE!!!

To withhold £700 from people in this current climate is sickening. They have lied to me over and over. Generic scripted answers of we are doing our upmost to help you today blah blah Delivery not attempted just a message after the delivery day past saying congratulations your order will be out for delivery in 2 week. I've contacted them 3 times to cancel and get a refund. Each time the same response. The depot even called me 2 days ago to say they are still coming with the order. Each time it's Like its the 1st time hearing it. Yes thats the order cancelled please be assured the money will be in your account soon. Lies no money received. Been weeks now and still waiting. Currys your on my black list.
