After a bad experience with AO, who I would never use again, I order a fridge freezer on line on a Thursday and had it delivered free of charge on the Saturday. No fuss, no one trying to upsell or sell you protection cover, contact by email and text and delivery guys very polite.

We waited until the right washing machine could be delivered. It turned out that it was broken on delivery and the guys refused to take away the packaging, which was promised when we placed the order. It took days and days and endless phone calls to finally get the machine collected and then even longer to get a refund and some compensation to pay for launderette fees. Shocking service... We went to AO instead. Got next day delivery and never looked back...

Rubbish company, pathetic customer service. Hi Guys I just thought i would update you on the latest from my ongoing running nightmare with Currys. After posting this as you can see someone from Knowhow contacted me to say that they would help resolve my issue. THEY ACTUALLY TAKE POSTS ON HERE SERIOUSLY ENOUGH TO RESPOND. That's because this is a public forum. Forget trying to deal with Curry's internally you will get nowhere. After hours on the phone and days off work trying to resolve this issue i finally got 'you can have your money back or a replacement'. Great i thought at least i can get what i paid for originally which was brand new TV one that i have been after and researched for ages. The guy on the phone from Currys then informed me that they don't offer that model anymore. Ok i said well i will have the direct replacement that LG have brought out since discontinuing my set. Oh no no no no. It doesn't work like that its same value or money back. I explained that I cannot get a TV of the same standard as the one i purchased and this isn't really compensating me for the loss at all. No compensation for the hours on the phone or the days off to send and receive it. This was just a go run and jump kinda deal. It would be like VW after they where found out in the emissions row saying to their customers we know that we screwed you on the Golf but here is a polo to make up for it. I have tried my best to give Curry's every opportunity to resolve this issue in a reasonable way but as usually if its going cost them 50p or more then forget it. Its the very last thing i will ever buy from this disgrace of a company and i would suggest that anyone reading this and thinking of making a purchase should really think again. I have also had an issue with a fridge i bought form AO and the customer service from them was really refreshing compared to the utter disdain that you receive form Curry's. You live and you learn. I hope that this post really does encourage some people to change their decision to purchase from Curry's it would be good Karma.

Ordered a gas cooker a month ago and still no delivery. The customer services lied to me 4 times on the phone, giving me hope that it would arrive next week, next week and I'm still waiting.

DO NOT BUY FROM CURRYS!!! WORSE COMPANY EVER !!!! I ordered an American Fridge Freezer. Selected next day delivery in which would have been Tuesday 10th 7am/7pm. Took the day unpaid from work. The item did not arrive. Spent over 40 minutes on hold with customer service to be cut off!. Received an email on the Wednesday morning informing me that the item would be delivered Wednesday between 15:30/19:30. The driver called me at 19:15pm informing me they had run out of time and would not be delivering the item!! again 35 minutes on hold to customer service , who definitely need customer service training, to be told it will be delivered Friday between 11am/3pm. Just received a call to be told the item is now out of stock! and cannot deliver until Monday!! What is going on with this company!! terrible customer service!! i have never received such bad service. I will definitely never!! buy from them again or recommend them to any family/friends. But i will let people know about the bad experience i have received. Requested a refund, offered £20 compensation in which is an insult!! to say the least!! STAY WELL CLEAR!!

CUR1746196645/ we ardered a dryer online on 02/10, received confirmation email then received an other email that delivery will be on 12/10 then this morning at 7 am received a text message that delivery will be between 7.15 to 11.15 then received a phone call from currys that item is out of stock, why you are telling me after 10 days my phone call them they refuse to componsate and cancel our order we will never buy anything from them again

Customer service is a joke bought a dishwasher with a design flaw took 5 months for them to collect it had to go to the Co to make this happen absolutely no accountability taken and they suggested they were doing me a favour by collectedi going it. Avoid

Easy web site and reonable prices. Very good customer service when I need to return an item I ordered online. They sent courier to pick up the item next day and they refund me within a couple of days.

ordered freezer online -no problem. Organised delivery -again no problem. Was contacted by delivery team - brilliant. Trouble was that when I unwrapped it what I found was a fridge. Contacted helpline -no possibility of rectifying issue that day. Exchange/collection organised for next day -got confirmation email. Was contacted to tell me that the driver was arriving shortly to collect fridge BUT no freezer to deliver. Helpline contacted who apologised for their mistake but would have to be another day. The helpline staff were as helpful that the system would allow but were powerless to act other than follow protocols. This meant yet another day lost. Decided to cut our losses and cancelled the order. Having to explain to 3 different people the same thing was both tedious and time consuming. Was promised a phone call to confirm collection and email to confirm refund - as yet nothing. Had to call again to explain and get collection organised. Operator couldn't access notes of previous conversations so frustrated again. Seemed to have lost 2 days of my life!

Are Currys holding on to and delaying customer refunds. In my case they seam to me to be doing just this. I bought an item online and Currys agreed to collect it as it wasnt as described and didnt fit my needs. It to 8 days to get the collection and I was told that I would get a refund within 3-5 days. Unfortunately that didnt happen so, I tried to complain: - I tried to raise a PayPal claim but the email supplied to contact Currys on the PayPal site doesnt exist so email returned. - so I phoned Currys to complain, as soon as the customer services person takes my order number she tells me I have an immediate email agreeing to make a refund, but this is over 20 days since I purchased, and 11 days after Currys picked up the item. - So dont delay in making that complaint because Currys may not do anything about your refund until you complain like me. Personally I think this is - at the least just bad customer service - at worst maybe Currys are trying to increase their cash flow by holding on to customers money. poor show Currys

Disgusted with Curry's and once they have delivered a working washer/dryer (don't even get me started!) I will never use this company again. They do not do what they say they will do and don't bother to answer emails to the "Customer Care" Team or return promised calls. Delivery men are just that. Don't even bother paying the £25 to have it connected. Waste of money. Having to wait in on a weekday for a 3rd time now. Three wasted days :( SO stressed!!

Booked and paid for sat delivery had email confirmation for sat delivery and was told to contact them with time slot. Called them after waiting in for the morning myself and my partner took the day off work! Ordered a dishwasher and cooker. Only to be told that delivery was for Monday! I paid the extra for the sat as I had no cooker! They couldn't do anything for me except refund the delivery charge! Whoopy do! They never contacted me about delivery change, guy on the phone said it was because the had overbooked themselves! Well guess what that's not my problem! Delivery paid for sat I should receive on the sat! I've now got to go all weekend with no cooker so that's going to be very bleeping helpfull!!!! Would never vmever recommend this company, all the reviews are bad I should have just listened and gone elsewhere! Do not use them! When I requested to speak to a manager on both phone calls they told me that the manager was looking after all the staff and couldn't get to the phone to help me! Seriously!

At Christchurch store purchased TV for bedroom, with help of Curry staff member and also purchased wall bracket. Husband paid by card but as hard of hearing did not realise that overcharged by about £90. Tried phoning Currys from home, almost impossible to get through to real, live person. Finally told that they could neither give us the Christchurch phone number nor tel. them themselves! In despair we abandoned evening meal and drove again to Christchurch (25-mile round trip) and found that the TV handed to us was a different model to one we had chosen, hence greatly increased price. We had not opened the box. We finally accepted reduction in price of the TV sold to us, but we so nearly told Currys to just refund our money. Presuming it was an unfortunate error, we just hope that this TV is OK when we fit it tomorrow. We are elderly, unwell and partially disabled, so driving all those extra miles, plus frustrating hour trying to tel. Currys, has been a bad experience. I doubt if we'll ever shop there again. Looking at other reviews online, I am surprised that this company still exists. Why haven't the Company Directors, etc. have sorted out their poor customer service long ago? It must put a lot of strain on their unfortunate employees who are frequently faced with frustrated customers trying to sort out a problem.
