I'm so disappointed by the currys' service. I ordered Huawei P9 lite sim free the day before blackfriday. The deal was supposed to finish the same day and I was emailed the next evening On Black Friday, which I read later, that they couldn't process my order so they won't take any money out of my account. Even though I checked and they had that phone set in stock the next day back on original price. While waiting for that phone I didn't buy any on the Black Friday and missed other deals as well. For me Currys isn't reliable store after this bad experience.

I Reseved a 40inch samsung TV online for my elderly mother, when we got to the store 2 hours later they told me the tv wasn't ready & the assistant phoned through to another person. The other person then came to the till & asked us to follow him to the TV section, he then persisted in trying to sell the "knowhow care plan" for the TV. We told him 3 times that we didn't want the care plan, he then said "well you may as well have because its free as part of a black friday deal" My mother then said "ok then i'll have it". We have now found out that it is only free for 1 month the rest of it is £4.00 a month. I will be making a complaint about this disgraceful way of duping people in to having the care plan.

Paid for installation on new washing machine, and removal of old washing machine. The two clowns who delivered refused to do either. They couldnt wait to get back in there warm van and leave. They did not appear to be qualified, and I certainly would not employ them, and neither will I ever purchase anything from Currys again. The company is a joke.

Truly awful consumer experience. LG washing machine took 4 weeks to be delivered, has not worked properly in 3 months and I am still waiting for them to be able to put me in touch with an engineer to do a diagnostic. I have phoned over 12 times, gone into the store 3 times. Each time I get a different excuse for why they cannot do anything useful. They have lied to my face about my consumer legal rights, cut me off mid-call and failed to call back more times than they haven't, all the while refusing me a replacement or store credit and insisting they have to get an engineer out. Except they can't manage this so I am stuck in a flat with 4 people and no laundry facilities after paying £400 to them. The washing machine regularly takes over 4 or 5 hours to do a small load on the usual settings, which they tell me is normal! The clothes don't come out clean, are soaking wet to the point I can't hang them without damaging the floor, the machine doesn't drain either and has no function to do this when it stops mid-cycle. We had to stop using it when it began flooding the kitchen repeatedly. I really am lost for what to do next with Curry's. They will take no responsibility for this whatsoever and refuse to do anything other that stick to their woefully inadequate system. I will never trust their guarantee or customer service promises again.

This is a copy of my email to Currys: REFERENCE ORDER #CUR1637604738 Am very dissatisfied with you order system and wish to complain and I will be posting my complaint on every available review web site. On 22 of November I decided to purchase an LG TV from Currys and went to the local store in Telford. The item in question is your part #162366 LG model LG-49UH668V 49” TV exclusive to Currys. There were 2 in stock in store, however, the TV was too big to fit into my car and to my surprise Currys did not offer a local delivery service, however, I was advised to order online to get home delivery. I placed the order for this TV @ £499.00 including delivery. After I processed payment did I notice that your system does not indicate stock availability until you have a firm order!!! To my horror the order confirmation stated deliver 2 to 4 weeks!! WHY does your system not inform stock availability until final order process? I was not willing to wait that long as I have already sold the current TV we own. I called customer services and was informed of the following (which I can prove) Your employee agreed that the “stock availability” was frustrating and quote “it would make his life a lot easier if it did” so I assume this is an on-going complaint. I then requested to cancel the order and process a refund, he informed me no problem; however, it would take up to 5 working days for the refund into my account. I asked why Currys can take money within a few hours despite no stock but it takes 5 working days to arrange a refund! Not very fair is it!! He then ASSURED me that 50 pcs were due the next day and 47 were on order including mine and if I would hold on and not cancel I would have the TV by Monday 28th November. As I am not a millionaire and do not have funds to purchase elsewhere prior to the prolonged refund I agreed and was informed I would receive a text maybe today to confirm a delivery date. Well as of one hour ago no such information was forthcoming so I called the service dept. To be told the following: on my repeated comment regarding the stock information prior to order finalisation the reply was again “I agree it would make our lives much easier” again an indication that this is a common complaint that Currys management choose to ignore as many multi retailers do. He then went on to inform me that the TV’s were not due until 28th November not the 23rd!! And that 129 were on order and 300 pcs were due. Who’s telling porkies? I than informed him of my total disappointment in my first and last purchase from Currys and would cancel and get refund, however, of course Currys wont refund until maybe Thursday 1st December i.e. 5 working days from tomorrow!!!! So as he pointed out IF the goods arrive on the 28th I WILL get delivery 30th November latest. BLACKMAIL or what!! So maybe you can comment on this, I’m sure nothing will be done to improve your service looking in Google at the number of negative complaints about Currys confirms this. If I had ordered a similar TV from Argos it would have been delivered same day for £3.95!!!

Visited Weston-super-mare store, we required a new dishwasher. Found the one we wanted , just need to find some one to serve us . There were lots of staff about mainly on ground floor. But no one was willing to help us even after asking . After standing waiting for over half an hour ,we left . We went home and order same dishwasher on line took 10 mins . Guess were we will shop in future.

I paid for a Thermostat & home install and after waiting a week for an engineer, 3 phone calls of 30 minutes each, numerous empty promises, an engineer who did bother to call me to cancel his visit due to the fact he "was too busy" - I have now been told to wait for another week. Oliver from the Knowhow helpdesk certainly did not help me either or try one bit to be accommodating. Avoid people if you can and go elsewhere.

Appalling. Go somewhere else, anywhere else. Ordered a Hotpoint washing machine for delvery on Monday 21st November. There has been no phone call, no delivery. Emails ignored. Impossible to track on their site, Know-how.com as the site turns off and states it is an unsafe connection. Will avoid like the plague in future.

The only reason for such a bad review for Currys is theinstallation company experience, We bought a washing machine from Currys for our new house and went for the nstallation service from Know How. They installed on the 2 July this year. About 2 months later we started noticing that all of our ground floor had water under the wooden flooring, the door in the utlity started getting wet and soaky. After multiple visits from Thames Water, Dyno guys and going through all kinds of plumber visits ( where people even mentioned that they would have to dig up the sewage etc) one informed gentleman from Thames water investigated adn pointed out that teh washing machine had been incorrectly installed. There was water seeeping out since 3 months ( by the time the investigation got finished) and it had spread to the whole of ground floor under the floors. WE obviously took the Insurance report ( who fortunately also fixed the problem) and complained to Currys. The Know How came for a very "casual stroll" to our house..saw the damage and sent out a letter back after 3 weeks saying.."Its not our fault and anyway you have had the problem fixed". We are now left with uneven wooden planks on the ground floor and a door that is botched from the lower end. Never take this installation service ..never ever if you value quality and look for ownership from a company.

bought a new fridge/freezer. delivery drivers were supposed to unpack/check & take away packaging. No driver used our toilet & left. spoke to customer services & what a waste of time. no apology, they didn't give a toss. I would rather pay more to get a better service.

Knohow does not know anything about delivering an efficent service. Not only do I feel sorry for the customers, I feel sorry for the employees who have to keep aplologising for the companies mistakes. Communication between the different sections is non existant. It needs streamlining with alot more clatity. I will never use knohow again.

We purchased a hotpoint fridge freezer and were well within our 30 window of being able to get a refund for a product unfit for purchase, the fridge freezes our food and drink, yet the customer services would not listen to our request, the minute we mentioned refund they put us on hold and passed us onto someone else who asked for our deatails again and again as soon as we mentioned refund we got passed on yet again. Suffice to say we got nowhere, all they could offer was to put us through to hotpoint who would organise someone to fix it. It is a new product, we did not want a repair and legally we are entitled to a refund when requested. I recommend no one buys from Currys as there is no option to get a refund on any electrical product by the sounds of it. Interestingly a friend also had difficulty returning a yv a couple of years ago and had to getvlegal advice. Do not under any circumstances buy from Currys.

I have now gone through 2 of the same model of TV an LG OLED 55B6V, unfortunately due issues with the manufacturer not Currys. To be fair I expected to have big problems but it was being returned within the 30 day period. Currys were superb, the first return was collected at the same time as a replacement. After a few emails they agree to replace, booked on the Saturday, collected Sunday morning and new one delivered at the same time. Magnificent. Unfortunately 3 weeks later the same problem occurred and I had to return again. Following discussions Currys agreed a full refund and collected the TV on the date I requested. Very impressed. I now just need to find a new TV, I will definitely be looking to Currys to supply it. Superb service, quick responses to emails (within 24-48hrs) and very open to negotiations. Excellent

I bought n expensive laptop from curry’s pc and since the moment I clicked the power button it has been utter crap! It runs so ridiculously SLOW. It takes forever to just turn on! And don’t even get me started on how long it takes to open ANYTHING! From word documents to Firefox, I should not have to wait over 5 minutes to SIMPLY OPEN A PAGE. Any time you’re searching for something on the internet be prepared to wait for ages while the page stops responding then is responding but oh wait now it’s not responding. Hoping to exit out of that full screen YouTube? Well I hope you also like your page crashing. I have been trying for months to get this sorted, spent hours on the phone to knowhow and have been mucked around by everybody. First I was told I could get a refund, however when I took it back to the store I was told actually no, I cannot get a refund till they have attempted to repair it. So I sent my laptop to get repaired. Got it back saying they had fixed the problem, Which they actually hadn't. Spent more time on the phone, restarted, rebooted and erased everything from my laptop countless times, was offered some recovery disks, told them I don’t have a cd drive so they said they would send a usb drive. They sent it on cds anyway. So it was more time wasted on the phone asking for the usb drive, I was told it was on its way. Weeks later nothing has arrived, rang them AGAIN only to be mucked around AGAIN on the phone, being told I don't actually need the usb recovery thing (So I was lied to when I was told the usb stick was on its way). Once again I am told over the phone to do all these little things, to press these little buttons and it will fix my laptop which (surprise) it hasn’t. I am so fed up with curry’s pc and (lack of) knowhow. This laptop was sold to me as a dud yet they refuse to give me any money back or even swap it for a laptop that can actually have two internet tabs open at the same time without crashing. I will never waste my money on anything from curry’s pc world ever again.

An elderly neighbour of ours ordered a television from Curry's Guildford store to be delivered and fitted. After two failed deliveries and two calls which took 25 minutes to answer. I took her to the store they said the T.V. had been lost and it would take a week to get the same model but she could pay half the extra and get the next model. I don't think they were interested and some of this conversation was taking place in front of customers. We got a refund and went to Argos got the same model and no delivery and fitting charges, installing this T.V. was not worth the £60 they wanted to charge.

Never again will we spend any money with Currys. Firstly it took 2 visits to even get someone to serve us - there were simply no staff. Having bought a TV and stand from them on 6th Nov 20/16 and promised delivery on Sunday 13th we were allotted a time slot of between 13.35 and 17.35. We were contacted at 17.40 by the delivery driver to say he would be another 30/40 minutes as he was fitting a washing machine. When asked why it was so late he was not at all polite and just said did we want to re-book the delivery , after waiting all afternoon. He didn't even apologise. We'd got people over to set the to up and we'd been waiting all afternoon. Not good enough Currys! If your drivers are under so much pressure to meet deadlines then you need to look at how you run your operation. There are companies who deliver when they promise to, with excellent service and no extra cost for a specific slot. We used Currys because we wanted to support our town. Never again. We'll use a profession outfit next time.
