My partner and I were thrilled to work with your team on a custom-made engagement band and appreciated the attention to detail during the design process. Unfortunately, we encountered an issue when the custom-cut gem turned out larger than expected, leading to the creation of a completely different ring shape from what we had originally signed off on. This resulted in a nearly three-month delay. Thankfully, my partner had already proposed with another ring, so we didn’t have to wait to celebrate our engagement while the issue was resolved. We were grateful that your team acknowledged the error, expedited the process, and kept us updated every step of the way. The final ring exceeded our expectations, and we truly appreciated the care and presentation of the finished piece. Thank you for your dedication to making this right!

Good Day! I hope everyone on your team is doing well! Although I am okay with how the ring turned out, and the fact this was a never before attempted design, I feel I was constatnly having to stress the importance of the significance of military insignia and the inablility/non-allowance to change or modify them. Thank you for the time and effort made however. I like the ring. I do have a question however. If one of my collegues were to want to purchase the exact same ring (with the exception of the lettering inside of course), would it be the same cost now that all the set up has been done? Thank you very kindly. Respectfully anf Happy Holidays, Captain Gerald A. (Jerry) Nauert, USCG (Ret.)

The quality of the product and the customer service related to the whole manufacturing service are great. Unfortnuately the seem to be very inexperienced in international shipping and customs which is why I paid a lot more because they did not provide the correct/neccesary documents to the international forwarding agent.

Mr. Wilson, I would like to start with a thanks to you and your team for a beautiful piece. It’s exactly how I hoped it would be. I have been reluctant to respond but I believe that this will help you in your future clients. Things I believe that would bring more of an exciting experience for people would be progress photos through the process. That’s the biggest part of having something custom made, without it, it’s just another ring off the shelf. I was constantly told that no pictures can be taken through the process. To be honest, I thought the whole thing was a scam. As a business owner of some thirty years, I’ve seen my share of scams and that’s how I felt with the front-end of the process. I wish you and your company success in the future. Jeff

See below my review from earlier March. Since then, the team has been working with me to make the appropriate changes- the ring currently is with them and I will plan to make an updated review when I receive the ring back. Thanks. I recently received the custom ring I ordered, and unfortunately, the overall quality has been quite disappointing. -Upon arrival, I noticed several scratches and marks on the outside, which was disheartening. -Moreover, the gemstones don't meet the expected quality, one lacking the opalescent look I anticipated. -My request for a 2.5mm band thickness, or preferably smaller to match my 2mm wedding band, was not met. A professional measured it at 2.3mm, and I was charged for more gold used than necessary and initially quoted for. I would appreciate appropriate compensation for this discrepancy in less gold used. -The ring's uneven thickness is a significant concern; when viewed from the side, one part measures 1.72mm, while the other side is 2.05mm. This inconsistency visibly affects the overall quality and is disconcerting. *my biggest concern* -Additionally, the sides lack the desired roundness, and I would prefer a more polished and rounded finish. Given the overall quality concerns, especially at a price twice that of other quotes I received, I'm disappointed. I kindly request either a refund or assistance in rectifying these issues promptly.

While I am overall satisfied with the ring, I had quite a few hiccups along the way to include the final product. Trying to get one of the designs was very painful and when I got the ring in the mail, a piece of the bottom of the moon was shaved off. This was not mentioned in the initial consultation or design. Design occasionally felt rushed as I tried to get the right designs on the side of the ring and felt I generally wasn't getting any help from the "specialists" I was working with. When I would message and ask something they would throw back more and more stuff that just looked rushed and gave very little help. It felt like they threw the jpeg or picture into the machine and if it turned out terrible, they just gave it back to me with the bad image saying they loved the design. This continued even after I had paid and went onto CAD portion. I intend to keep the ring and am happy with it but felt it could have been better. While I am likely to recommend to a friend who wants theirs completely custom, I will caveat to them the importance that they need to get it right and shouldn't rely on any help from the people they are working with.

The 3D model they used was perfect, yet the produced ring was lacking. It still came out fine, but fine is noticeably different than perfect.

I am not sure how the price of the ring went up when the price of gold went down, but of course, the price quoted is never the final price. My biggest problem is that when my ring was finished, instead of sending me pictures of the finished product, I was led to believe that renderings were the actual ring. So of course when I received the ring and it was nothing like the pictures I was not happy. I am not sure why you would send renderings when you have the finished product but that is why I returned the ring. In the picture of 2 rings the silver one shows what the antiquing is supposed to look like, and the gold one shows what I received. You tell me if you would be happy.

The product was great and the design team was really great to deal with and responded surprisingly quick. There is not enough info available regarding import duties, l ended up paying and additional 40% duty to import it into South Africa

Quality is good, My wife is happy. I have personally spent two months working with the company to make sure I will receive what I want and not what they wanted me to accept. First, they just sent me random 3D files from the internet rather than trying to make something that will resemble the photo. Then they made many models that were significantly different from what I asked for. I kinda felt that they just employ cheap freelancers and act as a middleman between you and a freelancer. Also, I could see that most of the time different freelancers will do 3D design. I needed to fight for every small detail of the design, pixel by pixel. While the company said to me that "we don't want to you settle on something less than perfect", in reality, no one cared about quality and I did most of the heavy lifting of making sure the result will match the photos. Which is very far from expectations of making an order and forgetting about it. During that two months, I become frustrated with the company numerous amount of times. Now when I see the result in person I am happy, but also I remember that horrible two months that I needed to fight for every small detail, while the company staff couldn't even bother to deliver quality on their own.

My experience with CustomMade was average. What's really great about the company is their amiable staff. Everyone I've interacted with has been really kind and followed up with me in record time. But, to be short on my "average" rating, it's simply the quality of the design that I received. I can only speak to my experience in making a signet ring with my family's coat of arms. The design isn't overly intricate, but is definitely not a standard image that was engraved into a ring. Do I like my piece? Yes. Do I love it? No. My opinion is that CustomMade is good for standard jewelry, perhaps even above standard for engagement rings (I just don't know because I didn't have one made). The product I received is very similar to what I saw when a company at my college graduation gave me a brochure for a college ring. It was a standard set of designs to choose from, and your ring would look like thousands of others. Not bad, just average. This is what I got from CustomMade. I have no negative feelings towards CustomMade as it's more on me for choosing them and not providing more of what I was looking for or at least asking for what I really wanted. My needs would have been best fulfilled by a genuinely skilled craftsman rather than an online company. Definitely consider them if you're looking to have something made. Just be sure the examples of work match what you really want.

The ring is beautiful and the team was accommodating throughout the process of designing. Never had a problem when I asked for revisions through the iterative process of making the ring perfect. With that, they refused to provide documentation of the stone purchased and required me to correct them on a number of items prior to shipping. All in all the design process was great but the final documentation has been a challenge.

It was ok. Things were a bit more difficult than they needed to be, I felt like I had to explain the same thing to multiple people multiple times, and some promised things weren’t quite delivered. With that said, the ring is beautiful and they made right on the things that were wrong. For example, I had a tight deadline and wanted to pay for an expedited process only to find out that due to the holiday it would take just as long. Eventually they did get it to me in time and did not charge me extra, but it felt a bit dishonest Also someone had assured me that the engraving was centered when in reality it’s too high and crooked All in all, the ring is nice but I haven’t seen much benefit of using this company over ordering a similar ring and just getting it engraved Also, please allow for some sort of voice call.. the chat isn’t always the best tool to use
