Someone purchased a Dell computer using stolen identity information for a nursing home resident. Dell shipped the computer to the thief's address. I called them to tell them the fraudulent purchase via a Dell credit card has shown up on the victim's credit report. They switched the billing address from the crook's address to mine. I have sent them all kinds of paperwork, they continue to bill. They refuse to speak to the police who have made an arrest in the case. They have now turned it over to a collection agency. This has been going on for 10 months now. They know where they shipped the computer and it wasn't to the victim.

I just bought a new laptop. it doesn't work. the screen keeps shutting down. I called the tech support and they said something wrong with screen and transfer me to other department and then the phone keep transferring... long story short, they made me to cancel the order. what's a customer experience I got. I'll never buy dell system anymore.

I got the new xps 15, and the touch screen stopped working in less than 1 month! Dell said that i need to send it in for repairs and will take around 10-12 working days to fix it... being a college student it is impossible to survive without a laptop. They offered to send me a brand new laptop and i get to send the old one back when the new one comes. I still feel that this is complete nonsense as the laptop is like a month old and this issue shouldnt be happening...I asked them for some sort of compensation and they said that its company policy that they cant....

I bought a refurbished laptop from Dell. It had a Pentium i7 processor and 8Gb of RAM but from the start, it was slow, with disk usage constantly being at or close to 100%. I should have just sent it straight back, but I didn't have a spare computer and I couldn't be without one. Also, I didn't want to go through all the research again. I spent hours on the phone with their support person doing, what I now realise was just running through a list of standard checks and procedures. Eventually, they came and collected it and, after a few days, sent it back with no changes made to it at all. I persevered with it and eventually made a complaint via Resolver.co.uk. That got a result, and someone rang me and took me through some steps that helped. However, a year later, disk usage is frequently running at or near to 100%. I don't game or watch films or run any resource-hungry programmes and I don't have hundreds of browser tabs open. I keep my anti-virus and anti-malware software up to date and have plenty of spare disk space. I feel that a PC of this spec should not be struggling with what I use it for.

I sent in my business laptop for repair, it was shipped back over a week later, still not working with a new issue. Parts were updated in my laptop with newer firmware than my hard drive, making the hard drive unusable and needing to be replaced. When I asked how can I recover the data on my old hard drive I was told I would need to contact a third party. I have a business account with Dell with overnight shipping included in my warranty for tech issues. To have to deal with more issues after a week of being at the repair center is infuriating, and the data issue sends it over the top

i have had several dell computers with no issues. the latest, an inspiron 15 5000 series came with no voice/sound device installed. had to get a tech to do that for me and now it is ok. suggest tightening up on final check out.

If you are a business person that travels far and wide, then the Dell is the only option I would recommend. A broken laptop is a disaster and you need help you need it now! No-matter what country you are in! I bought the business 4 year +2years support package and when I did need help they were brilliant. None of this crap about sending your laptop away for a repair. No. Within 24hrs I had an engineer on site to repair the laptop. Even if he did have trouble finding me. But that is another story. I work in forestry throughout Europe so I have always bought the Latitude range which is excellent, especially the way they stand up to the abuse that I put them through. Repairing harvesting machines in the middle of nowhere and clambering up mountains is not something that most laptops have to put up with but for us, it is part of the course including having the laptop being dropped and regularly banged! What really impressed me was the way Dell dealt with a serious problem that happened a couple of months ago. I am at the end of my service contract. I have had the laptop for 5 years. I suddenly had a reoccurring problem that Dell could not sort so after a lot of fault finding sessions they decided to replace the laptop with a similar model free of charge. No arguments. No petty forms to fill in just a professional service. – Your Dell does not work- We cannot find the fault - you have coverage – here is a new laptop! With that kind of service I will always stick with Dell and I will tell to my friends, family and business associates. Okay they are not the cheapest but it all depends on what you want and need.

If you want a Dell computer buy from a reputable retailer like John Lewis, who hold stock and have customer service. 11th Sept - I ordered a 15" Dell XPS laptop from Dell.com, with specified shipping estimate of 2-3 days. A reasonable person would then allow another 2 - 3 days for delivery. 13th Sept - Dell marks order as 'Shipped' 18th Sept - The 'last estimated shipping date' came and went, with no update from Dell. - I called them to be told they had IT problems and order was delayed, they would track it and call me back. 19th Sept - No call from Dell. I called them, to be told the same thing except 'we promise we'll be in touch' 26th Sept - Still no call or sign of my laptop. I call Dell to be told it has been dispatched from CHINA TODAY, and will be in the UK on the 5th OCTOBER from which date I can then track delivery from the courier. 26th Sept - I am offered a 7% discount as a goodwill gesture, I say all I want is the laptop that I need for work. I cancel the order and am told my refund will take 7-10 WORKING DAYS TO PROCESS. - THEY WILL HAVE HAD £1,399 OF MY MONEY FOR A MONTH HOW IS THIS LEGAL????

Poor customer service. Buying a laptop and returning it because I was charged $300 more than the Dell website checkout price should not be such a hectic process. I will never buy Dell products and my recommendation for my friends and family will always be "Stay away from Dell product". I was transferred mutiple times just to hold for a long time and no one to reply. I was transferred to a manager but he never picked up the phone. He later called back and and lied to me about the return process. Some of the customer service representative were rude.

I would give less than 1 star if possible. We have always bought Dells, however over the last couple years, literally every pc we get has some sort of problem- black screen, blue screen, memory loss- you name it. If the problem doesn't show up on their on line diagnostics, the go to is to have you reload the OS. It is usually a hardware problem, but they refuse to fix or put you in a cycle that could last literally months. We have wasted literally hundreds of manhours on tech support- usually with no fix. I will never buy a Dell again. Too bad- it was once a good company.

If there was an option to give no stars I would have taken it. Appalling delivery. Lies broken promises and lack of any understanding. Cost me over £500 in travel and staff being present to install non-existing machines. Customer Service useless, over zealous sales people who won't take no for an answer. I could carry on all day with my tale of woes.

How about I contacted customer service about an issue with laptop still under warranty. The AC adapter was bad which is what I initially thought but I ran all the diagnostic checks, inspected the cords and plug and also completed all suggestions by the Dell "technician" - nothing worked. Technician told me the DC-IN was damaged (if the DC-IN was damaged the PC wouldn't work at all with the AC plugged in - WHICH IT DID) and would have to be replaced and would have to be sent to them for repair - this would put me without the laptop for probably 4 - 6 weeks! Since I use it for my business, I asked them if there wasn't a technician locally that could do it and was told yes but I would have to pay $39.00 + tax service charge!!!! I was so mad and expressed my disappointment with Dell and product at which point they came back and told me they would waive the service charge!!! Why didn't they offer me that to begin with??? I asked them if they couldn't just send me a new adapter to try and I would return it if that wasn't the problem. The response was "No that's not the problem it is the DC-IN and has to be replaced" so I told them to go ahead and send the technician. I purchased a new adapter just to see for myself - and GUESS WHAT? It is charging the laptop just like I thought!!! I am totally disgusted with Dell and will never buy another product from them. The thought of them spending money to fix something that wasn't even broken really angers me. What is wrong with people and why don't they listen to their customers?

had to replace charger as prongs easily bend. This is a known problem and $100 fix. thought I would invest this as I had hardly used the laptop .Motherboard gone after very little use ,Told it was not worth fixing by reputable computer repair service. .Total waste of over $600 . Would never buy dell again .

PLEASE, don't buy dell. They are worst with customer. I made an online purchase of a dell inspiron laptop which had an original price of $899 for $579.99 but the website charged me with the original price. I had to wait for 2days to get to customer care as they do not provide service for the weekend and my customer care representative was very unhelpful, made stupif assumptions on my sense of purchase. He was rude and very unwelcoming. He did not resolve my issue and just made my day rough. He kinda blame me for dell website did not work with discounts which is again stupid. I hate their customer care service and I am not going to buy any dell product neither recommend people to buy one.

1. Bought Inspiron 5566 by the end of May 2017, was on sale. Received it about two weeks after. Right when you pull it out of the box, you hear something rolling inside. So I contacted Dell, sent back to repair. Two weeks later it came back with an inspection sheet saying everything is tested and checked. End of part 1. 2. Used it for about a month, then found out camera is not working. Tried to update driver but nothing worked. Contacted Dell again. Ran 5 or 6 different methods as instructed. (Why the hell am I testing the camera when the device is not even recognized by system?) It's two hardware problems in a roll, so I told them I want to return it. Spent about a week email and phone call getting kicked back and forth, NO. No return. So it's back to repair again. End of Part 2. 3. It's been about a week after I sent it back. They're saying there is no parts available to fix it. Need to replace it. So I brought up the return for refund again, still NO. Fine, I don't really care now. See if this is the end of story.

I just got a new laptop a month back which suddenly stopped working. Now I am calling customer support for around last one week continously , everytime its time to register my issue, they say the server is down or not working. Hey DELL first correct your personal server/system issues, then start to sell new laptops..!!Else close your company, don't fool people.

They Double charged me for the laptop I ordered and other than me cancelling my entire order they still are taking until next week to give me back over 500.00!!!! No nothing for my bounce fees for things that are going to come out, no nothing to compensate the fact I cant go buy groceries for my child for the weekend.. nothing. Big wig, multi million dollar company ripping off the little people!
