Wow! The worst company I have ever dealt with! Bought a new Inspiron 15 on 26/8/21. Within 7 days the laptop started playing up; windows search bar disabled, screen frozen etc. Spent 6 hours with tech support trying to fix it. Instructed to use various cmd commands, asked by DELL to watch various how to style YouTube videos, finally Instructed to factory reset and reinstall Windows OS. By this time the laptop was blue screened and wouldn’t even boot. Directed to DELL support OS recovery. Tried everything. They then requested that I watch YouTube videos on resetting the BIOS chip!!! This is 1 week old laptop and I am being told to watch YouTube videos on how to totally reset it! They refused to take it back after 1 week! Long story short. After 3 hours on the telephone being passed between customer service (‘service’…what a joke) and tech support in a loop they finally agreed to collect it. 48 hours later no confirmation email. Nothing. Another hour on the phone being passed between tech support and customer services again in a loop and no resolution. They denied that they had agreed to take the laptop back and the ref number provided by the previous agent meant nothing to them! Anyway I have now instigated Barclaycard to charge back DELL to recover the money to my account. Advice…listen to these negative reviews and do yourself a favour and avoid DELL. Scandalous shoddy company nothing short of a big CON!!! Total FRAUD!!!

In 2019, I bought a Dell Latitude 3500 laptop. Within a week, the keys would stick. Then shortly thereafter I had a motherboard replaced then a new hard drive, then a battery within a year, then a new keyboard all in one and a half years. Now, Dell technical support wants to install a new operating system in my computer, which caused my IT company to back-up my computer for over a week. I have contacted Dell technical support at least 15 times for this computer and nobody's been able to fix it. I I am still under warranty with Dell and I wrote a letter to Michael Dell and Erica Clapp emailed me back and told me Michael Dell will not replace my computer with a new one today, August 25, 2021. Dell computers are a piece of junk, and Michael Dell does NOT STAND BEHIND HIS PRODUCTS Do not buy anything from Dell

You are the worst company EVER! A brand new 750 eur laptop wasn't working since day one!!! I called them again and again and all they kept saying is update the software, update the software and UPDATE THE F*** SOFTWARE!!!!!!!!! When they decided to "fix" the problem they sent me back a completely different laptop (I can see the different serial number you morons) and they have been ignoring ever since!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN

This company is fraudulent, simple as that The products prices are changing randomly, switching Excl. VAT or Incl. VAT (see attached screenshots). Then, when you complaint about the price difference, the 'customer service' Indian call centre will always see that Excl. VAT 20% higher price. You cannot cancel the order. You cannot use your 14-days online cooling period even after 5 minutes after order.

i will literally not be buying another thing off their website. i payed $250+ for something that was supposed to come in august 15th. It was then delayed to September 7th. Didn't get an email notifying me of any delay. I had to find out through looking manually at the order details daily. Which meant putting in my order number daily to the point i practically memorized the damn 15 digit code. I then logged on too see if my shipment was being shipped (since to this date is 3 days from September 7th) to my suprise a new message popped up on my screen after i put in my 15 digit order number. It was telling me that they legally had to ask me if i wanted to cancel my order since the new estimated delivery date was December 10th which is 4 months away. Never should it take this god damn long for something so pricey to come in. If your thinking about dropping cash on anything on their website thats over $100+ DO NOT ORDER IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT HALF A YEAR.

I'ved sent my Dell laptop 17.3" Inspiron 5657 for an out of warranty repair. What was returned to me was an obviously a totally different laptop which nevertheless broke in less than 2 months of very light usage, due to their lousy repair. When I enquired why my laptop was changed differently, customer service were in total denial although the change of a laptop was so apparent. So, when the said laptop broke again, due to a very poor processor replacement done by the lousy Dell's repair service team upon return, there and then I only found ot that my original 17.3" Inspiron i7 5657, was very shrewdly exchanged with a 13" Inspiron 5391 model. I discovered this through a different service tag number. I will never ever trust these Dell repair service team based n Coventry. They will do magic with your laptop from surreptitiously exchanging a good condition and workable processor and or other high-end chips or cards with recondition and very slow replacement product. People, pls be wary of this scammers.

Sent in my laptop for out of warranty repairs (a single key was broken and all online manufacturers were out of stock). Took them 4 weeks and they charged me $200+ and sent me back a laptop with no battery.

I have used HP, Compaq, Asus, Lenovo but never had bad experiences like Dell. Whether it’s my office laptop or my personal laptop, Dell laptops are so bad in performance and speed. Would never buy Dell laptops in my life nor recommend anyone!! It’s very frustrating as a customer. From first month itself I struggled to use it properly!!

Had purchased a Dell XPS 15 9570 back in 2018 during launch. Paid over USD 3500 for it from Dell US and they shipped it to me in Abu Dhabi, UAE. After 3 years of moderate use, on August 27, 2018, one fine morning, the laptop will no longer even power on. Have tried holding down power button for 8 seconds and other solutions provided online by other customers, but still no luck. I am unable to contact Dell and their website says they cannot provide international support. So am I just supposed to throw such an expensive laptop away after merely 3 years of use? Why even sell a product in some country if you are not going to provide any support there and customers need to reach out to US for all support. I would have rated this company 0/5 stars if that was an option.

I absolutely hated this computer with all heart and soul. It deserves a -1000000000000000/10. As you can tell I have had a terrible experience. I have 101 reasons why I hate it so much. There was always a problem with it, it bugs constantly, battery dies in 5 secs (doesn't last a full day). I've had this cumputer for 2 years and it's falling appart. It make an unpleasant loud noise all the time like a vaccum cleaner. I've had to repear the key board because a letter fell out. The screen constantly gets detatched from the computer. Videos on example youtube, load all the time and don't work. Settings are supper unclear and i can never fix a problem on it. I have ask for help in the past but none of the problems can be fixed even by a specilist. This makes it difficult to work on it and do my school work.I would get a mac if I didn't have to use it for school. It is even more expensive than a mac, I would never spend 3,000 dollards on this not even a cent. There are many times where I wanted to trough it out the widow. If I had an essay on how much I hate this computer I'd get an A+++.Just be smart and don't waste your money on this trash. Go get yourself something better queen!

If I could give zero I would. Dell are a very unpleasant unreasonable company to be avoided like the plague. I purchased a laptop for £1100 from them which I discussed with a "sales assistant". I asked for a 14" screen minimum. It arrived and was 12". I am told AFTER THE EVENT that screens are measured DIAGONALLY being a user and not knowing the way this is done I feel that it would be prudent to discuss that with a potential customer so they are aware. Anyway they now point blank refuse to refund me or accept a return as their small print explains they apparently do not give refunds to business customers. So be aware that if you buy from them it's at your risk all staff are reading from a script from a call centre in India and no one is willing to help. A company that deserve to go bankrupt in my view. Disgusting way to treat customers. I am now taking steps to resolve this through my credit card company. What a petty, nasty attitude and waste of time and energy.

Purchased an Alienware m17 R3 Gaming Laptop. After over a week of no correspondence from Dell I contacted the customer service line and was informed that the product had reached the ‘end of its life’, that my order had been cancelled and I would have to contact my bank to release payment. Dell failed to notify me of the cancellation. Upon checking the Dell website to check if the product had been taken down, I discovered that the price had risen to £2799 (almost £1000 more), despite the fact that the discount was still valid for over a month. As a regular customer of Dell I find this to be extremely insulting and in violation of my consumer rights, which stipulate that a company cannot cancel an order once paid for that item. Contacted Citizens Advice. Not worth your time or money.

I was supposed to receive a call from a technician to guide me through Windows reinstall and data retrieval. After four days there has been no call. When I try to contact Tech Support, I get transferred to many different departments and none of those transfers is the right one. I'd rather give them a 0, but that was not an option.

Dell is the worst support experience I have ever had. Several weeks of no laptop. Sent to repair depot. Charged for a repair that did not work. No one at Dell will refund money for failed repair. If you are considering buying a Dell - PLEASE DO NOT. Hope this helps prevent someone from having another horrible experience from one of the worst companies I have dealt with.

Purchased a dell laptop (hardly used) Laptop under warranty and I called to find out why it was so slow India tech kept me on phone over 1 hour Told me that software was problem and not hardware I hired office computer tech (company) and within 2 minutes of remote access told me that the hard drive was bad I paid him $155 to replace hard drive I called Dell to reload my Microsoft Office - they refused unless I paid them more money I would never buy another Dell computer again Outsourcing their tech to India and have their technicians be so incompetent and even argue with me on the phone is unacceptable Elaine

My Dell battery charger was not working. I could not find a replacement in any brick and mortar store. I bought a universal charger at Best Buy but it did not work with my laptop. I was in desperate need for my laptop for business. I ordered a replacement on August 6 directly from Dell and paid $20 dollars for express shipping and my delivery date was set for 8/10 but then I got an email saying it would be delayed and would receive it on 8/11 and then another email the next day saying it was delayed again and new delivery day was scheduled for 8/12. I tried calling the phone number on the email but I got a voicemail saying that the office was closed due to the holiday. What holiday?! I reached out to Dell on Facebook messenger and explained I was upset with the delay and not happy with paying an additional $20 for express delivery. I was then told that express is based on the date it is placed in the mail and not on the date I placed my order. I explained again that when I placed my order I was quoted a delivery date of 8/10. I was then told that if it was delayed it is because it is out of stock. So if it was out of stock why wasn’t I informed of this when I first placed my order and why am I being told I was be receiving it on 8 /12 now if it is out of stock.

If I could give a negative number, I would. I used to read people use that and shake my head at the stupidity of that response. Sadly, Dell showed me how negative values actually apply. Here is our case: we have dell Premium Support Plus as we work in healthcare and have confidential information. When a computer failed due to the system hardware, we were shipped a replacement. They said that we have to return the original. We stated we cannot return the hard drive because of privacy concerns. They said, ok, with Premium Support Plus, you simply purchase the hard drive. This is where the worst customer service ever comes into place. I followed the directions, spoke with someone who was challenged with the english language. The outcome, can't keep the hard drive. Went into full explanation mode. Oh, yes you can, but you need to talk to this department. Onto the next department, repeat performance of everything including the "have to talk to another department". Did this a few more times until someone said, I needed to speak with the Out of Plan Support. I don't know why, I simply wanted to pay for the drive. Ok, scheduled a time at their request as fits their schedule. No call, no email. So, called Customer Service again (they really should rename the department to the Round and Round Service as I have much more respect for Customer Service folks.) and got the same, need to speak with Out of Plan. Oh, forgot to mention, you can't call Out of Plan department directly. They must call you. Now that's Customer Service! Let us make it inconvenient for you! I have no outcome yet because I need to wait on Dell Out of Plan to call. When? No idea. Whenever they feel like it. Scheduling time doesn't seem to matter to them. Who suffers? My employees, who are trying to send back the bad computer timely, and simply want to put this to rest.

Please stay away from Dell. I have terrible experience with DEll Customer Care. I have purchase laptop over 2 months ago. I was waiting for one month and finely received laptop but with wrong CPU (much more chipper CPU that I have ordered and pay money for). I contacted Dell Customer Care and they issued RMA and sent me replacement laptop. Replacement laptop has wrong CPU again. I spent days dealing with Customer support trying to explain my issue and DELL does want to resolve it. DELL suggests to cancel this order and buy it again but price went up a lot (almost $700) for the same configuration. I am very frustrated with Dell Customer Care and suggest everybody to avoid it if possible. There are a lot of other products on markets that competes with Dell
