“Had an injury rtc in which l was a passenger, both vehicles involved written off (other party admitted liability) utilised dlg legal services to recoup financial losses. Found this firm combative in approach, basically lacking in any sound advice or help. I would suggest that if you are sent any forms asking for your signature / settlement that you seek legal advice from another firm first, as l feel this firm do not provide an adequate service.”
“Almost 2 years of constant phone call in order to move my case along after being hit by a car causing an inability to move for many weeks together with weeks of Physiotherapy and constant pain I have received very poor compensation which I have struggled to get paid into my bank account. I have phoned on so many occasions and every time fobbed off with promises of a speedy response which never happened. Would not recommend them”

“Terrible company from start to finish. It took 6 years for a personal injury claim to get to court. On the day the barrister told us he was missing vital evidence and would struggle to make our case with what he had. Documents we had sent DLG had not been submitted to the court and basic evidence had not been collated by them. We have had to do all the chasing and they never return calls. Original court date had been adjourned 3 days before when DLG realised they had not prepared properly. 6 months later and they still hadn’t prepared.”
“After seeing all the reviews it all makes perfect sense. This company has no consideration of its customers at all. They dont even both to respond or just acknowledge when they have done wrong by their customers. I was involved in an accident not my fault was hit from the back while stationary to make a turn. Was sent for medicals and all. Was informed by my case handler he has done everything and submitted it to his manager for final review it's now been 4months waiting for this review. Have called numerous times and l am now being told they have a backlog. These things work with time lines and l just feel DLG are a law to themselves. I hope the insurance companies that use this company are aware of this because it also put a bad name to them. I just want to close this chapter and don't want the memory from this accident linger due to my pending claim.”
“Bought household legal cover. My partner had a valid claim for unfair dismissal. This firm obliged her to spend money on a legal opinion before they took on the case and then tried to force my partner to accept a settlement of £5k, even though the other side had offered substantially more. Case went to Court and settlement was to be drafted to allow loss of wages claim but DLG failed in their duty, so additional claim was barred. Four independent law firms stated my partner had a valid claim and DLG were negligent. I work with lawyers every day and know anything above a 65% chance of success is actionable. My partner was twice told her case had a 75% chance of success. DLG are appalling. They spoke to my female partner like a piece of dirt and yet when I spoke to them they were all sweetness and respect.”

“Incompetent, after an accident (not my fault) was put in contact with this useless subsidiary of direct line insurance. Send them all the requested documents, pictures, doctors reports etc and then they keep requesting them time and time again! Call centre is in South Africa and some staff have such an accent which I couldn't understand properly. After about 12 months of being fobbed off I requested someone else to process the claim, BIG MISTAKE had to start the whole process off again. Eventually I said I was contacting the insurance Ombudsman to get things sorted, and after almost 3 years of to and fro got paid out. As they haven't cleared it up at their end after the case end I'm still paying the price of extortionate car insurance. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE CRETINS!!”

“As per many other people, we have been passed through many claim handlers and been dictated to all the way through the claim, this is now been ongoing over 2 and a half years and information provided by the handlers has at all stages been incorrect. I have had to rectify everything constantly. They have also sent me to different consultants until they get the answer they want. “My case has been going on 8 months and all I have done is chase and be ignored! Choose anybody else if you would like to have your case resolved or have any sort of communication. They are happy to let their client remain in pain and not fulfil on sorting the medical attention required or resolving the actual case! I’ve been asking for my case to be escalated to a complaints team for 6 months to no avail! I’m still constantly chasing, I’m still constantly ignored so I’m left with no choice to leave a review of my experience. Months of warning and still no reply or willingness to resolve. “Absolutely appalling company. A car accident that wasn’t my fault, fully admitted and accepted by the third party. I’ve been made to feel so upset and distressed by this company, no empathy or customer service at all, I feel completely unsupported. I do not feel that this company acted on my behalf at all. An appalling experience and even worse compensation offer which I’ve felt bullied into accepting as getting nowhere. I’ve sent and resent information that’s been asked for and still receive phone calls asking for it again. I’ve had to chase emails and calls myself. Was spoken too so rudely and had words out into my mouth, stating that I’ve said I was fully recovered despite emails and calls saying that some of my injuries were still ongoing. I’ve been made to feel I’ve been lying or over exaggerating my accident to get more money, despite photos of my car and injuries being sent. The final straw was receiving a letter that stated in bold writing, that anxiety counted for nothing following a very traumatic accident on the motorway! Would not recommend at all. Avoid!”
“My Insurer passed me to this "Legal Service" after my non fault claim.
Today I receive a call from DLG asking me to accept a ridiculous offer for my injuries... I, like many people have placed faith in this company to act in my best interests. I now feel that DLG are acting in their own commercial interests as far as my claim is concerned or as some sort of mediation service.

“I know we are and have been through a pandemic but my accident( not my fault ) is still ongoing . Since the accident ( a rear end shunt by a third party ) my claim is nowhere coming to an end . I have numerous case handlers and case supervisors and still getting nowhere. There is no contact made by them in the way of updates and when THEY say they call me back they never do . Sorry but as far as I am concerned there is no duty of care towards me and won't and can't recommend anybody using this company of solicitors again . Sorry to be so negative but after 2 and a half years and still in alot of pain I won't be using you /them ever again !!!!”
