Ordered an item for delivery on Thursday. Driver attempted delivery on Wednesday instead without giving me option to change No one was home. Item was left at a news agent not close to me. I hv to travel 2 buses and walk a long distance to collect it. Called DPD to complain and was told they don't do second attempts. Worst experience.

NEVER use DPD, completely untrustworthy and basically useless. Failed to deliver parcel, said they couldn’t deliver as I wasn’t home (complete lie), eventually admitted trying to deliver to wrong address … refused to deliver item to me, saying only option was for me to collect order from “local” (2 miles) collection point, which I am unable to do. Terrible customer service and no complaints procedure evident. Infuriating 😡

For the 2nd time DPD failed to collect a package, Driver gave the same reason “When our driver arrived we were advised that the items were not ready for collection” I was sitting in the front room for the time this was recorded; no-one came to the front door. The driver is supposed to leave a card as proof of visit, he did not, He should have taken a photo of the front door - he did not. I sent an email to Director of Customer Experience Ms SCroke, scroke@dpd.co.uk but no reply, ok 1 mistake I can accept, but 2 on consecutive days is a disaster, why should I use DPD again ?

They've been to my door twice, two days running. They took a photo of the door once. They left a note once. At no point did they bother knocking on the door or ringing the bell. How does this make sense? Did you want to visit the same house three days in a row? I just don't understand the logic.

A delivery for Friday 6th January said it was not able to be delivered but the photo was not of my door but the one next to it. I was in the whole day and my door number has the bell next to it. Told that I would have to wait until Monday 9th. Same ‘performance’ - First told that it could not be delivered because of road closure (no road closure); then not in, but photo was of houses nowhere near where I live and again in all day sitting at window in view of road and front door! Was to be redelivered on Tuesday 10th - success! Daniel came on time and pleasant, despite terrible weather. Thank you to him. However, the other days had said the driver would be Daniel but today’s Daniel had not been on duty those days so what is going on there with the company by saying that Daniel was the driver on the other days? My comment would be for the Managers of dpd to tighten up structures in many areas as the chat system on the other days was not helpful and there is no one answering phones except recordings! You do yourself no good as word of mouth is always the best form of advertising.

I have been trying to get a fridge delivered by dpd, I reviewed after last problems. I got yesterday off and tracked the delivery right to my road, i waited a while. I then got a message saying couldn’t deliver. I actually got through to a decent human who sympathised and arranged for delivery today. Another day off work. After all the hassle and days off to get my fridge delivered. It was delivered today, both the packaging and the fridge were badly damaged, looks like it has been dropped from a height and more than once. I have lots of photos. I have now had to cancel and start again. I am very stressed and angry with this service and would like to make a formal complaint, but no one will give me an address. This company should be shut down or totally restaffed

Company has really gone downhill over the past few months (my experience). There was a time when I used to rate DPD the highest, they are now the lowest out of all courier services in my estimations. My poor experience was mainly down to the drivers. Disregard of safe place specified, little or no attempt to ring the doorbell or knock the door. To then be told my parcel will be left in a safe place? What is the point in making effort to specify a safe place, paying premium for delivery and express delivery. To then have to collect yourself... defeats the purpose of paying for express delivery right? This experience has happened to me once and also my wife once, over the course of this month and December last year. Customer service reps offer zero help and no resolution or assurances. More of a "can't do anything about it" attitude. No effort or assurance to escalate as an official complaint, even when prompted and asked to. Have no issue with any other courier. They always leave in the specified safe place or make a real effort to knock, ring and wait at door. The only time myself and my wife have ever had to collect, is with DPD.

Didn't bother delivering my Amazon package today. They subsequently sent text saying 'Sorry we missed you, your driver ALFRED won't be back today. We'll be back on Mon 09 Jan'. I was in all day and received no call from them. Poor performance.

I do not want to leave one star. I arranged yesterday for my fridge to be delivered today, I got the message today saying it was coming today as arranged. I waited in all day, I’ve Just been on the phone with them through the app as instructed. they’re delivering it Monday 😤 I’m working. I told him I’d waited in all day for this. He said he’d check, he came back and said I could pick it up from the depot. I said it’s a fridge I can’t pick it up, delivery was agreed for today, it says it’s in the depot, and I’ve waited all day, he said is there somewhere they can leave it? I said it’s a fridge. He said (not for the first time) there’s nothing I can do. I asked for another number for either dpd or head office he said no there’s nothing I can do it’ll be delivered Monday. Their help section on the app just tells you to phone this unhelpful number. Might claim for spoiled food. Angry is an understatement .If you want to receive your parcel Don’t ever choose dpd

Stayed at home for the time slot. Nobody called, nobody rang. Got a message to go and pick it up from god knows where, as it seems I wasn't at home for them. Litteraly, my phone number is given for that reason. Ffs.

I would leave zero stars if I could. Delivery driver "attempted" delivery 3 times, each time taking a photo of a nearby store. I advised DPD support that this was clearly a Co-Op, not my house, to which they said they would inform the driver and have the parcel delivered next day with the correct info. Day 4 came and I get an update that the parcel is being sent back to sender. I once again contact customer services who tell me that they can't do anything as it's a customs issue (despite already being in the country and out for delivery multiple times) and it's actually the government who decided to send it back. This is not the first time I have had to chase something up because someone hasn't done their job properly. It's either one of two things. One: drivers are too incompetent, or two: drivers are too lazy. Either one isn't good for DPD. DPD, do yourself a favour. Stop hiring useless drivers who don't care, or alternatively, stop demanding ridiculous delivery quotas to protect your profit margin, I'm sure half these drivers don't bother because they realise they can make a quicker delivery elsewhere. Absolutely useless.

I needed some stuff the next day and paid 10 pounds extra for next day delivery and suddenly the next day I got a msg that they couldn't reach me and will leave the parcel to some shop the next day. I was at home all day long, now how is it my mistake if the driver can't even understand how to press the bell. I contacted customer service which was even worse. They told me the driver has attempted once and will leave the parcel at some random click and collect. Deliveries have become a joke

Failed to deliver my parcel for nearly a month now. Can't speak to anyone to actually resolve the issue, parcel just sitting at Stoke Depot. Avoid like the plague.

Told parcel had been delivered on 31.12.22, but nothing arrived, rang DPD, told error at their end with scanning would redeliver, next day. Waited in all day, nothing arrived. Rang DPD again, told another error at Depot and Parcel now being delivered, NOTHING ARRIVED Rang DPD again this time told parcel has been returned to my original purchasing company. Original purchasing company still have not received it back after a week, so I can not get a refund or the parcel re delivered to me. DPD are useless, why people use them is beyond me. All foreign people talking on their phones and you have to keep getting them to repeat everything because you can not understand what they are saying, I listed all their names after speaking to them and everyone had to spell it, as everyone is foreign. Like everyone else I would give a minus star rating if I could. Who pays for my time sitting waiting for a parcel and all the calls I have had to make to DPD and the original company I made the purchase from, NO ONE DPD management need a shake up to get this company back on track. Pointless building mega depots if they don't work as they should, it is a disgrace. This sums it all up, just got a text saying call DPD for an update on your delivery and hear about our great service !!!!! It is not even a service let alone great.. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT A PARCEL DELIVERED, YOU MIGHT NEVER SEE YOUR PARCEL AGAIN It will cause you more time, energy, hassle and phone calls than it is worth

Dreadful service. Sent me email which said parcel delivered & photo was black!! Rang (must be an oversees call centre hard to understand) and told them I was in and no delivery man came into street. After call email arrives to say parcel is at Stoke depot! Miraculous how parcel suddenly makes its way to depot! And there it still sits a week later. Would give no stars if could.
