Abysmal service, disrespectful aggressive delivery drivers. No PPE and lack of customer service is appalling. Boycott this appalling excuse for a courier service. DPP are the worst delivery agents in our area and the worst delivery agents in other areas of London, Dorset and Northampton where we have sent items to friends and DPP was the named courier. Many people in our surrounding living area have and continue to have awful experiences with DPD. Customers experiencing bad service from DPD should not be fobbed off by the inadequate, incompetent customer service operatives they should directly contact directly the DPD CEO and Director of Customer Experience at DPD - both these contact details are easily available via Internet searches. Speak out about your experience on social media and tag Consumer Watchdogs in the post. Furthermore customers experiencing bad service from DPD should also contact the company that they ordered from in the first instance and make it extremely clear that they require a full refund for delivery costs and refuse to make future orders if the company continues to use DPD and not give the option for other more reliable couriers. Our most recent bad experienced with DPD was on 8th April 201. We paid for a name day delivery slot from the company JL, we booked a slot for Wednesday 7th April 2021. We then received a DPD delivery alert stating that our delivery was due Wednesday 7th April 2021 however on the day we then received another text alert stating that delivery was delayed due to non-specific reason and rescheduled. On Thursday 8th April 2021 we receive delivery notification that our item would be delivered by a named driver on the delivery slot time. We had very clear and specific delivery instructions attached to our order. When the driver attended our home he completely ignored our delivery instructions, banged loudly and aggressively on our front door and was immediately abusive, shouting and being overly aggressive. Driver was not wearing any PPE. He shouted and he swore at me. Our item had visibly damaged packaging with one end open, therefore due to the damaged item and the aggressive, abusive behaviour of the driver we refused the delivery. Driver became even more aggressively abusive and took several photos of our home and tried to take photos of me also before leaving our property. We immediately contacted DPD customer service however the first female operative ‘K ‘was rude and hung up the call. The second male operative ‘A’ was not at all interested that his fellow operative had prior been rude and only seemed very anxious to get the call over and done with. He took very little details of the serious incident and did not seem to care that we’d had such an appalling experience due to DPD delivery service. As item was clearly damaged, we specifically stated that we did not want the parcel re-delivered however we then received an alert saying re-delivery would be 9th April and the parcel arrived again on 9th April 2021. DPD customer service is an absolute joke however is not a funny one. DPD have no regard for customer care, no regard for customer safety, no regard for damaged items being delivered to customers, no regard for items being delivered late and do not follow up on serious complaints. We were assured that the courier department teams would get in touch with us to follow up however 8 days later there has been no further contact from DPD.

Parcel sent 17.02.2021 told arrival date by 25.02.2021 didn't arrive track/trace left UK contacted carrier in Bulgaria (wonderful people "Speedy ) they did t/t informed me parcel have been to three address in France! And was sent back to sender 19/03/2021 no reason/postage refunded and no reply to my message asking why.the only reason I have given one star at least I got item back,OK won't use again ( I send items to the Bulgarian address many times so address was clear).

I do not recommend them when there are better more reliable companies to use. They accepted a parcel with the value of £600 to go to my daughter in Spain, knowing that since Brexit, Spain were not accepting parcels from U.K. ( they have since suspended this service) It was returned to UK and sat in Birmingham hub 3 for 1 1/2 months. My parcel was kept for nearly 2 1/2 months in total to then be returned to me. If you search DPD to book online you get DPD local which turns out to be an online service which then turns out to be Parcel2go but only in the small print at the bottom of the page tells you that. They are only contactable on line with each contact taking 24-48 hours for reply and you get pushed from pillow to post with no answers. Contacted the CEO his team replied to remind my contract was with parcel2go so that was no different just referred onto online team again ! I was told several lies......... I.e don’t worry it’s just a blip in our system it’s not being returned to sender. That it was still in Spain and waiting for it to come back. That it had been delivered to the receiver when in fact it was tracked to Birmingham. I’ve had the phone put down on me and been told it’s in Birmingham with 1000s of others and I just have to be patient and wait alongside everyone else. Their own teams that are not part of the online team I.e export and local teams admitted that it was appalling customer service but couldn’t help. The time it was kept cost me over a £100 because of what the parcel contained on top of what I paid DPD nearly £46 Absolutely appalled and would hate for anyone else to go through the same experience.

Pathetic service -avoid using this useless delivery service company !! Pathetic service. Failed to collect parcel on the day booked, claimed to arrive on sight - we checked our CCTV camera but no one arrived to collect the parcel at claimed time. Near none existent customer service---avoid using this useless delivery service company.

They don't even try to deliver to the door but say that nobody is home and they drop the package at a shop, very far from the home address.

You've lost my parcel which was sent to Australia. First you lost the paperwork now the parcel is missing too. You will not supply photographic evidence to prove delivery. The signature was Returned. A terrible company, advise everyone to avoid like the plague.

Terrible. Waiting in all morning for a parcel, when I get an email saying we missed you. For reference I work from home and sit right by the front door - we also have a very loud doorbell. Noone knocked or rang. I spoke to someone on chat and they said nothing they can do. So I asked for the complaints procedure at which point they ignored all messages from me.

Waited in all day, no one knocked then found the card sorry we missed you will try again. This was the alleged second time of delivery with a card. 1 hour later I was waiting for a second parcel which again stated that I wasn’t in, 2 parcels in one day and apparently I wasn’t in . This isn’t the first time that did have delivered to me and the last time I had the same problem. One of the worst companies I know of, very unprofessional

On several occasions delivery guy and shop that does drop off/pick up refused to wear masks or make space. When I asked them not to endanger me said didn't care if I died as I'm ill. DPD head office have refused to act on complaint or give me complaint procedure. They also told me their advice to drivers is they don't have to wear masks!

Ik heb nog nooit zo’n slecht bedrijf meegemaakt (op VidaXL na misschien). Eerste keer dat ze langskwamen paste de dozen niet (ze waren precies het benodigde formaat en gewicht), vervolgens vier keer een nieuwe afspraak ingepland waarin ze nooit zijn komen opdagen. Gebeld, gemaild, word ongelofelijk onaardig behandeld. “We zijn in de straat geweest maar het is niet gelukt.” Wat is niet gelukt? Aanbellen? Ik kan overigens op de camera die wij hebben zien dat er niemand langs is geweest en beide huisgenootjes waren de hele dag thuis. Erg knap dus dat het dan niet is gelukt. Laatste keer dat ik belde zou meneer een nieuwe afspraak inplannen. Weer nooit komen opdagen, ik heb gebeld, waren ze niet op de hoogte van de afspraak. Meneer heeft deze nooit ingepland! Dus meneer die mij zo onaardig aansprak en tegen me loog: goed gedaan hoor! Petje af. Uiteindelijk heeft het bedrijf waar het pakketje vandaan kwam geregeld dat UPS zou komen. Eindelijk, na 2 maanden, is door UPS mijn pakket opgehaald. Ongelofelijk.

Worst service ever! Website not working! Rude personnel. Asked to have my parcel delivered at DPD point, they were going to take care of it - after calling them 4 times since website out of order to do it myself! Parcel delivered at my door and I'm not home to pick it up for another day!

They are total scammers !!!!! My packed that I sent was lost and has Been showing in transit for a few months. To try to contact costumers service is impossible!! Trying over 2weeks to solve this.... Nobody answers phone, online chat not working, email not responding...please do not use these scammers!!! They are literally the thieves !!! DPD local lost my parcel cost £200. The claim is not working. Total scam company. Avoid!!!!

Dpd makes me sick, My parcel was lost in their own depot and now I lost a lot of money as my parcel was bought from alibaba and sender no more exist , don’t have contacts and so on. And now dpd wants me to contact sender until then they will not start searching for my goods. Absolutely shocked, lost my money! Never had any problems with the other courier companies. They customer service hired from South Africa who don’t give any advice.

So I payed extra to get my new tv delivered today me and my father were both home and all I can think of as the idiot driver took a photo of my door was that he thought it was a good idea to use a doorbell that has out of order written across it in big red letters and not bother knocking. Genuinely embarrassing that a company of this size can hire someone as useless as this and when I phoned up they just said we can get it to you tomorrow which when I'm paying extra for next day delivery is unacceptable driver name is Gentjan oxford area if you get this driver I wish you luck as you won't be receiving your parcel

The worst courier ever! The status is Not update in the apps and internet, the parcel is not delivered on the chosen appointment! They would not even tell you oops sorry we can’t made it or we will just not do it, instead they just give you surprise whenever they want. Left my 200 € parcel in front of the door without me being informed and not even bothered to pass it to one of my neighbor. I am still waiting for my another parcel which was supposed to be deliver yesterday, again nth been delivered and of course no status update either!

I SENT A PARCEL ABROAD VIA DPD ON 04 JANUARY 2021 AND MY PARCEL IS STILL IN TRANSIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEARLY 4 MONTHS I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED DPD EVERY WEEKS, BEEN PUT ON HOLD , TRANSFERRED,LIED AND BEEN REPLIED THE SAME: "I am extremely sorry for the hassle you and the receiver had to go through regarding your parcel delivery. I can totally understand why you are so upset about this and I can not apologies enough for the upset and frustration caused."" BUT THATS IT!! NO ONE TELLS ME WHERE IS MY PARCEL. I WAS DEMANDED TO PAY DUTIES ON IT, EVEN THOUGH THAT ITS A GIFT UNDER £50 AND WAS TOLD PARCEL WILL BE RELEASED AND DELIVERED THE NEXT DAY, THAT WAS A MONTH AGO. IT IS AN APPALLING SERVICE WITH NO ETHICS AND AN INDEPENDANT UK REGULATOR BODY SHOULD BE SET UP TO AUDIT AND FINE ACCORDINGLY. I WISH AMAZON WILL HAVE A COURIER SERVICE AS THEY WILL BE MUCH MORE SUPPORTIVE I AM VERY FRUSTRATED.

A DPD delivery driver left his van in the middle of a narrow lane at Cann near Shaftesbury in Dorset. After about 5 minutes I beeped my horn once. He came out of the house he was delivering to and told me that “it’s a lockdown - do you know what that means - it means you shouldn’t be out on the road at all” ! He obviously thought only Official DPD drivers are allowed on the road. What a joke.
