I am not usually one to write reviews but with my third collection by DPD being a total nightmare I have to say this is the worst courier company I have ever used. I have now booked collection of a parcel three times and each time promised a driver to turn up - they never appeared. I might add this is two separate jobs. I gave up with the first and today once again for another collection NO SHOW. DO NOT USE is my advice

Yet another terrible experience with dpd! Payed for Overnight delivery, didn’t show up (after waiting in all day), told 2 days later it was at local depot, it wasn’t. Still no idea when I’ll get it, have to transfer it to my parent’s address now as dpd let me down again - it will be almost a week for delivery by the time it’s delivered!

Absolutely cannot wait to leave this review. I chose DPD Local as they were one of the 'better couriers'. How wrong that turned out to be. To summarise, my delivery has arrived a day late, my three boxes have arrived dented and mashed up, as if somebody has dropped them out of a van at high speed. One of the boxes had obviously broken open so they had to tape it up with white tape. The contents in one parcel has been completely smashed up. I'm not even sure how they've managed this as the boxes are sturdy and everything inside is protected well. My fourth parcels is also still missing, two days after delivery. They have launched an 'investigation' which is going nowhere. Their 'prohibited items' list covers just about everything possible, so there's no way you can claim compensation. The compensation process is also very very slow and lengthy. Their online customer service team is extremely slow to respond (if they do respond). The phone service automated bot is frustrating to deal with and it takes a while to get to an actual human to speak to. If you absolutely must use these people (for whatever reason) MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS of the items you're transporting as you will need them for compensation. And also make sure you choose the extra insurance as they WILL smash your items up. As of now I haven't received any word of a refund or compensation but I will update the review accordingly.

Just a terrible company. Why business' use these guys is beyond me. Ordered an item and paid for nominated day delivery. Waited in (booked the day off work) then received an email saying 'sorry we missed you' there was no knock at the door, no one rang the bell. No attempt at all to make the delivery. I contact DPD and all I get is a lame excuse and apology. No attempt to rectify the situation by delivering on the day I paid and asked for. Instead I have wait until tomorrow and go and pick the parcel up from a shop. Ridiculous

DPD are normally very good leaving parcel in safe place and really appreciate it. On this occassion their driver decided to place MY PARCEL IN THE BIN. My bins gets collected on a Friday, you guessed it so did my headphones. The customer service team are speedy to reply but with little movement in providing confirmation to the retailer so a replacement can be sent out. To further add salt into the wounds, the driver offered to buy replacements to avoid penalty points by DPD but then sent text message laughing about my unfortunate situation. Wasting anyones time, energy and money is simply rude.

My recent delivery came in a damaged box and wasn't even attempted to me fix or re-boxed and their wasn't even an explanation as to why it ended up with way its discussing and I also know that at their Wearhouse they do not handle the products with any care they just chuck them onto the van carelessly they need to be checked on regularly but someone to stop with discussing behaviour

booked for NDD sat waiting for them to collect at 5pm to be told sorry wont be collecting today. made some excuse of a 12pm cut off when in fact my order was accepted well before 12pm then changed it to payment was not received till 12.03 err dont think so payment was accepted immediately before sending confirmation email. spoke to a supervisor who then said there was an error in my booking so more lies then proceeded to tell me collections are not guaranteed! so why offer them then. Thanks a lot DPD for messing my urgent delivery to london up. will never use you as a collection/delivery service again and i use you a lot.

A parcel was delivered to my house for a person who does not live here. Had I answered the door I would not have accepted delivery, alas someone else did so. I called DPD and they would not do anything to rectify the situation - not even contact the sender to tell them what had happened, or give me details so that I could contact them myself. As far as they were concerned they delivered the parcel to the address on the label so job done. It was clear from my experience both on the website and the phone that this attitude is corporate policy - some executive has decided to prioritise short term profit over customer service and now a poor lady somewhere will not receive her roses. Whilst I realise that many other couriers operate in a similar fashion, I will not patronise any who do the absolute bare minimum to fulfil their obligations and don't care one iota about acting morally. In this case no mistakes were made by a driver, customer service operator or anyone else. This is corporate's fault and executives at DPD should consider if they're enjoying their careers, because they aren't bringing any joy to anyone else.

Refused to follow delivery instructions, refused to leave with a neighbour for signature. I then changed to local pickup at Doddle, which they stated numerous times on different platforms that it would be ready for collection on Saturday by 12pm. I then get an email at 11.45 stating that due to unforeseen circumstances it would now be delivered on Monday. Apparently the unforeseen circumstance was it should only be delivered on a week day. Fobbed off with "its an automatic email, its an automatic app" not our fault excuse. Well yes it is your fault, nobody else's, get your house in order. One star given as no stars not an option.

I ordered 90£ worth of food and cleaning products for my pet at the 1st of the month dpd delivered in a safe place the 1st time(outside the front door of my building in a very busy street) and went missing. Attempt no2. I received parcel one out of two yesterday without any notification on what happened to parcel number one. You see the driver didnt really care to let me know that the 1st parcel was returned. Then I tried to communicate with the customer service where an advisor thought it was polite to adress me at my first name like we know each other and hanging up the phone when o mentioned that. I am really over your service as twice it failed me and wont use it in future.

Dpd don’t care if parcel delivered! Driver did not knock door or card my home as I was in all day. Rang up and was passed through three people and the fourth then made promises which was not upheld. I was instructed the delivery will arrive that day before six and I would get a call from the oldbury depot which didn’t happen. I rang up and feel was spoken too rudely stating driver went home at five as arrived in yard at 4.55. I had been informed initially I had to sign for the parcel hence booked the day off work and planned it so it fell on my birthday. Major inconvenience appalling customer service some staff found my complaint funny and actually laughed. They could not even tell me what type or colour door I had which proves didn’t attend.

If there was a 0 stars option they would get it. The delivery people make no attempt to actually deliver their packages. I requested they ring my mobile if they couldn't find my property and they rang the wrong number then gave up. The 'chat' on their app is terrible. Its just a person using pre written statements to try to help you but inevitably end up just wasting as much time as they can so you will give up

No star, if possible. Waited in all day for a parcel, after they told me it was coming. Nothing. Tried the Chat online, it's just a poorly programmed robot that repeats the same nonsense - almost like it was designed by the idiots at dpd to ignore you. There are some good delivery services, so why waste time on DPD. 94 percent negative reviews - I know where I'd like to deliver those.

The drive came looked at my Id and said wrong started to walk off and shouting 10mins never came back ting dpd they said the driver had told them the address was wrong on my id when it it's right and dpd said they would get him to re deliver it. Got a call back from dpd that the drive is refusing to re deliver it I told dpd he will deliver it today or I will be contacting sky and getting them involved dpd said they will tell him to re deliver it 3 hours later still nothing rung dpd again and the driver said he has bin but no one was in which was a bull. Dpd said they will send him back I told dpd I will pick it up from the depo if he dont come back dpd said to bring your Id with you, got to the depo and the man at the desk said he has just dropped the parcel off, he never tried to deliver it again he had just tuck it back to depo, then they tell me they cant give it to me cuz you need a bill with your address on as well as id had to drive back home to get a bill then drive back. Dpd is the worst customer service and the worst at doing something there ment to do.

I upgrade my delivery , pay for the extra 5£ so as to accomplish further delay with my parcel for 2 days few hours after the payment. Once again perfect quality service from DPD.

I am completely disappointed with this company. They are not helpful at all! I wanted to change the delivery place but I wasn't allowed to do so. I have changed the chosen place of delivery because of their message with information that it going to be on Monday. Then I found out it could be on Saturday! But when I chose the delivery point there is was no chance to change it. Be careful with DPD! Conversations with consumer service are pointless....
