CarJet.com and Easirent.com WARNING !! WARNING !! are part of the same company I rented a car from CarJet.com for collection on 29/06/2019 from Birmingham Airport at 12.30 . My flight Number was EI 3264 The flight was delayed by 3.5 hrs from Dublin and therefore I was unable to get to Birmingham on time. I rang Easirent.com when I arrived at Birmingham ( as instructed ) and it took them 50 mins to arrive and was then asked to go to their depot to collect the car. I ( and my family ) proceeded to collect the car from Easirent.com Birmingham and I was told by Easirent.com representative , `` You are over 2 hours late and the car has been given to another customer`` I asked , ``was this stipulation on the Terms & Conditions``, and got no reply!. I requested another car therefore and I was told, `` The money you paid for the Car Hire is non refundable as you are over 2 hours late collecting it , so therefore you can book another car but you must pay for it again `` , which I refused! I rang Head Office of CarJet.com and was told the same. `` Sorry but should you want another car you must pay for it again`` I had 4 family members with me and all the luggage and had no alternative but to get a taxi from Easirent Depot to my hotel . I have checked the Booking with CarJet and can not see any reference to being late collecting the car. Declan Doherty Do Not Hire From This Company !!!

Cancelled my van at 1 day's notice. Said that some customers wanted to keep the van longer and they had priority. Seems that a booking with Easirent isn't really taken very seriously by them.

Avoid! Long trip from Airport (45 min including pickup waiting), disgusting office reception, unclear policies and bad service. Paid £180 more than the quoted original price on Web. Very unhappy. Never again!

absolutely the worst ever for renting a car. At the pick up they tried to make me by insurance, which I already he'd, by warning me that the rims are very expensive. When I returned the car, after a fantastic trip through Scotland, they walked direct to the rim on the left side of the car where they 'found' a minor damage. a damage impossible to see when you don't bent your knees. Very strange, like they new it was there. This is there business model. scum never again.

PLEASE DO NOT Rent from (Easirent) Manchester Airport, runs by both asian and english criminals, they negotiate every aspect price elements. At online seems very cheap. When you collect the car, they dash you with many documents to provide them!!!! finally easy to increase the charges.

I never review, most of the time it isn't worth my time. This time I am reviewing with the hopes of preventing another family from getting stranded. The service provided by Easirent, deserves a negative 5 stars, one star is far too high a rating Never rent from these guys. As other reviews have indicated, even if your booking says unlimited mileage, they charge extra for this. Unlimited mileage is NOT included in your booking. If that were the only issue I would say, now that you know rent from them if you want, but... My family and I rented a car from them for a stay in Wales. I had to purchase the unlimited miles add for about 8 pounds a day. I drove the car to Wales. We were planning on staying for 4 nights. We needed up staying for 6 nights thanks to Easirent NOT following their contract. The evening of the day. prior to our scheduled departure from the country the car broke down. Here is where the nightmare begins: We called the number listed for maintenance issues every 2 minutes for 1.5-2 hours before someone answered. The car broke down at 8:30 PM. (first breach of what is in the contract). Once we did get someone, they sent out a local guy (who arrived another 1.5 hours later); which was better than the 3 hours they told us. He looked at the car and said that the problem was not something that he could fix roadside. So, now it was about midnight and we had no car. Our flight was in the morning and several hours away. We still had the car as no "rescue" (tow truck) was dispatched. Fortunately, my wife, my 6 kids, and I had relatives in the area; with whom we stayed the night, missing our flight to Budapest. NO replacement car offered. In the morning at 6 AM (opening time for both the office that we rented from and the office we were to return to) we started calling, at about 6:45AM someone finally answered the phone. This started a 2 hour phone call back and forth between multiple parties (multiple EASIRENT locations) after which their vehicle was finally picked up at 9:30AM. During the phone calls back and forth, they indicated that there were NO CARS that could be provided as replacement for the one the broke down (contract violation number 2). This was even though we asked about two vehicles (as we understood that a big vehicle might be hard to come by). We were by the Liverpool location, before I could finish my question, "We have no cars to hire to you". YES, you read right this company STRANDED foreigners (including 6 kids), 260 miles from London, with no replacement car offered. We had to rent a car (used our relatives to rent it), drive us to the airport, and drive back (as the car rental places local to where we were would not rent one way). This was the first stop in a multiple stop trip, what away to start one's vacation. During this time, my wife called corporate offices, in an attempt to get them to provide us with a replacement car. She was told by the corporate offices that one would be provided once an assessment was made to why the car broke down. This assessment was to be provided by the mechanic (who came out the night before and made an assessment) and the two truck driver. We asked the tow truck driver about it, he made an annotation in his app, that was sent to RAC. We called after this and the rental company, said they had no idea when the report would come and as such NO REPLACEMENT vehicle for us. The location we were in was somewhat remote and without our relatives we would have been sleeping on the streets, they didn't care. To add insult to injury, the company then called us at 11:30 to find out why we hadn't yet returned the car. They guy I talked realized while talking to me what the issue was (the car broke down) and couldn't get off the phone fast enough. Haven't heard from them since. Side note: the car was "rescued" with a full tank, still charged for the 95 Pound hold incase the car was return at less than the 1/2 tank it had when We rented (breach of contract number 3). The hold "incase of accident" (still has not been released from the card 5 days later). So I have at least one transaction and maybe two to dispute with my CC company. DO NOT RENT FROM EASIRENT!!!! If you have problems they will leave you stranded. They breached their own contract no less than 3 times.

The WORST car rental company in the world. Quick to take your money. When I arrived to collect the car there was no one in the office. Waited around for about three quarters of an hour for someone to arrive. THE CAR WAS FILTHY, side mirrors not working, petrol tank empty, scratched and dinged everywhere, no spare wheel or tools, parts missing from the console. Don't even think of trying to cancel AS THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY. No deposit I was told as I paid for all extra insurance. That's ANOTHER LIE. I PAID. Left their office disgruntled after speaking to their customer care line which I may add had same ROTTEN ATTITUDE. I felt I was extorted as I had no choice but to take the car or pay for something I wasn't going to get. On arrival to drop of the car the office was closed and NO STAFF to take the car. Tried to call their help line for assistance and was told to send a message and they would get back to me with in 14 days. waited for another hour before someone arrived. I was told that he was told to go and drop of a car at the airport while I and other customers waited in the streets paying for parking. In summery , STAY AWAY FROM EASIRENT.

Shocking company run by a cowboy with no morales! Zero customer service and will do all they can to make you pay additional charges! Avoid at all costs! Currently filing law suit with a collection of similar customers to have these shut down for good. I hired a car from Easirent because my own car was in the garage having some work done and I needed to get from Bristol to Heathrow to get to work. My experience with them was awful and very long winded. For those who do not have the time to read it all here are the highlights; • Knowingly provided a damaged car • Having to go through the hassle of changing cars with no apology • Leaving my house keys in the damaged car • It taking over 2 weeks to finally get someone to take me seriously but then just being told there was nothing that could be done Now the long version. When I first collected the car from Bristol I was very impressed. It was a lovely new Kia Picanto with all the mod cons which was perfect for my needs. I was asked to walk around the car to see if I could see any damage, but as I do not know much about cars I do not have the knowledge to do this thoroughly. From what I could see it seemed fine and I was happy. It wasn’t until I was on the motorway going at speed that I noticed something wasn’t right. I could hear a weird noise and a lady pulled up beside me pointing at the car. I exited the motorway only having gone 1 junction to have a look and saw that the join between the front of the car and the wheel arch was coming away and the flap above the wheel was loose and hitting against the wheel as I was driving which was causing the noise. I phoned the Bristol branch straight away and was told that they already knew about this damage and that I was fine to continue driving. I was a little surprised to learn they already knew and had decided to hire the car out to me anyway knowing I was doing such a long journey. They insisted it would be fine and as I was facing possibly missing my flight if I had to go all the way back to Bristol airport to sort it out, I continued as advised. By the time I made it to Heathrow the damage had become worse and I did not feel safe driving it anymore. I was told I could swap the car for a new one at the Heathrow branch, which I did. I was offered no apology for being provided with a damaged car and was given a little Toyota Aygo which did not have any of the mod cons and was definitely not as good as the Kia Picanto. I feel I should have been given a car of the same standard considering the inconvenience of having to swap vehicles as the original was damaged through no fault of my own. Instead, the impression I got was they believed that I had caused the damage so they provided me with a substandard vehicle in case I did it again. When I returned the Toyota to the Bristol branch a few days later it was only then that I realised I had left my house keys in the Kia. I contacted the Heathrow branch but couldn’t get directly through to them and spoke to someone in the head office. They were then able to transfer me through to the Heathrow team who told me they would have a look for the keys and call me back. They did not. I phoned a further 3 times each time going through to the headquarters and being transferred through, each time being promised a call back and not receiving one. I then emailed the Heathrow branch about my predicament and am still yet to receive a response. In the end I went to the Heathrow branch in person where I spoke to a lady called Mary. She did her best to help me and asked someone to go find the Kia and have a look. I waited for about 45 minutes to then be told that they were too busy to go have a look there and then and that they would call me later once they had had chance to have a look. I wasn’t confident in this as their track record of calling me back wasn’t very good, but Mary assured me she would, so I left to head back to Bristol. Mary did call me back eventually, but to tell me they did not have the keys. I was very disappointed that after going through all this palaver and having told them specifically where I had left them and knowing full well I left them there and no where else that this is the only conclusion anyone can come to and there was nothing further that could be done. I decided to write a complaint to Easirent about the abysmal customer service I had received. I have worked in hospitality my whole working life and strongly believe that good customer service is of great importance. I even stated in my complaint that it was regarding the customer service but the response I got back was completely off the mark. They thought I was complaining about a) being provided a damaged car, which had been swapped for a none damaged car so that was that issue dealt with and b) leaving my keys in the car, ‘Easirent will not accept responsibility for any personal belongings left in the vehicle’. Receiving this response made me even more appalled at their customer service skills as the person responsible for dealing with complaints couldn’t even recognise what the complaint was regarding. A couple of very simple things could have been done to improve the experience I had with Easirent. An apology for being provided with a damaged car and my first phone call being taken seriously and someone acting upon it there and then to resolve the issue are just a couple of examples. If these had been done I would probably have considered using Easirent again in the future. As it is, however, I do not feel that Easirent care about their customers and I strongly advise that you use a different company if you need to hire a vehicle. I personally will never be using Easirent again.

PLEASE DO NOT Rent from Easirents Stansted Airport Please please please do not rent a car from these con merchants. i would have given them a rating of ZERO but unfortunately ONE is the lowest possible. I hired a car through Auto Europe and easirents and when I arrived at the office in stansted they immediately gave me the hard sell for excess insurance. They also jet wash the cars immediately before bringing to you. This might make the car look nice and sparkly but it is a trick and it does one thing...It covers up scratches!! On returning the vehicle the easirents representative immediately accused me of scratching the vehicle. Do not get caught out like I did. Do your research and only use a reputable hire car company or even better take public transport!

Would have given 0 stars if there was an option -3weeks ago was supposed to get a car in Belfast. Booked in advance via 3rd party, confirmed booking in person a few days later (as felt uneasy about poor reviews) but a few hours prior to pickup was told by phone there was NO car available. Had to urgently go elsewhere. The manager of the local branch is not just disinterested in sorting out the refund - he is obstructive. His employee never logged the call and marked us as "No show" reducing our chance of getting a refund to nil. Visits to Belfast branch were only good for putting blood pressure up - customer care is non-existent there and manager's attitude is disgraceful. Do NOT use this company unless you are looking for stress and loss of funds! Still waiting to hear about the refund but not at all hopeful.

Possibly the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Particularly the crooked guys at the Belfast City branch, they have perfected the method of squeezing money out of you for their boss, in the most underhand and twisted ways possible. Please believe this review and all of the reviews below, because it's the truth. Also beware of reviews for this company on TrustPilot, as it is evident that a huge proportion are simply not genuine.

the dodgiest car rental **THIS AGENCY WILL CHARGE YOU REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU ACTUALLY DAMAGE THE VEHICLE OR NOT AND THEN YOU HAVE TO SPEND WEEKS ON THE PHONE TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK** I guess that’s their dodgy business scheme We rented a car for a week and the lady at the office was desperately trying to sell us their overpriced insurance. We decided not to purchase one and a week later we returned the car in an impeccable state (we took extra care when driving the car). Since our flight was at 5:55am we had to drop off the car at the easirent location out of office hours. We were told that we would be responsible for anything that happens to the car until the office opens and someone actually checks the car. So we left the car and took pictures that showed its perfect state. Later that day we were charged over 450 pounds(!!!) by easirent. We have not received any email regarding this nor any explanation and when I contacted the agency multiple times and every time heard a different story. I asked for the documentation that should come with the charges made but all agents that I spoke to were trying to get rid of me. I was told multiple times that manager would call me and after waiting several hours I called to find out that manager has left the office and won’t be able to call me today. They also don’t respond to formal complains. Worst car renting experience of my life, everything seems like a big fat SCAM.

I hesitate to give them one star they are such shockers. (Booked through Holiday Autos who I have used for years with great results and problem solving.) They hide behind small print buried in the voucher that says you need 2 forms of ID. I don’t get any paper bills nowadays (a common situation, as they know perfectly well, so I offered them my AMEX statement on the phone. No good! Needs to be paper. So I offered to email them the PDF statement. No good, since they claim to have set up their email system to reject anything that looks like a financial statement! Surprise surprise, there is a way round all these proof of ID problems, just pay £40 per day and legal issues disappear. End result is I walked away, booked a car with Sixt through HA again and with identical ID drove away in 10 minutes. The guy clearly understood this was their business model, insist on paper at each point or else pay an outrageous fee for “insurance”. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE is my advice. Like Ryanair I will never use them again simply because I despise their way of trading. Hiding behind long technical documents has been stopped for the holiday insurance industry and this lot make it likely the same thing needs to happen to car hire firms just because the few want to work a dodge. Horrid.

I booked a car for pick up from Newcastle airport. I was told pick up will be 20 mins, I was finally picked up 45 mins later. Once at the office, I was unable to collect the car because they insist on a credit card for £1600 insurance payment, and I never use a credit card. They are happy for you to pay for your purchase on debit but won't accept it for anything else. It's a total sham!! Other companies I've used for car hire have always used my debit card. The service desk and people on site were very unhelpful, the website was unhelpful. 3 words - DO NOT USE
