After a very early flight from Italy we were off to a rough start. 3 phone calls for airport pickup. After waiting one hour and told “oh, we didn’t see you” (as if we were not standing their reading every vehicle sign that went by) we finally got picked up. Driver was pleasant and nice. Obviously not his doing as we witnessed him stop at another terminal and wait and look. Then during the construction going on at the check in, I was upsold and duped. Great customer service up-selling skills. Very commendable. I did not want the insurance and stated I didn’t mind the hold on my credit card. Yet tired, I wasn’t forceful enough for the one two act of “let me get my manager and see what we can do”. After pre paying 150$ another 145 and 100?bp went onto my card. Stupid and duped I got into a car that was on half full yet I signed full to full rerun with a hold of another 95bp on my card. At least I have the guys circle on the agreement I signed for that mess up! Now I will be charged another full day because 3:00 return means 3am to you all yet 3pm to me and Enterprise. However that went unnoticed and it doesn’t even open until 6:00am in Liverpool. I still have my agreement I cancelled with them. Sure wish I hadn’t. As this rental for 5 1/2 days cost more than a payment on a a brand new car loan for one full month. Not to add the sales pitch of driving to Lake District, I needed something bigger. Let me just say NO I did not. This car was a hinderance I feel was put on to me to deliver to Liverpool to get it out of your hair. Tiny streets with lots of traffic and zero parking. No one needs a car this big for 2 people anywhere in the UK. I won’t be a returning customer. I also work in the travel business for the US military overseas. I won’t be recommending your company either.

I too was very sceptical after all the negative reviews I had read so I really went through all the terms and fees. Even on site I was on guard but I have to say that it was all in vain. Yes, they did reserve money for fuel (if I had left the car empty) and for insurance (if I had left the car with damage). But it was all repayed soon after. On the contrary, I got an upgrade to a bigger car (as we had kids and a lot of stuff with us). So, from what I knew (that the office was off-site, the reservation-money etc) I'd say I'm quite happy. So I think Easirent need positive feedback too (and I'm normally very critical - I never give 5 stars to anyone).

I read a lot of easirent reviews and was sceptical of why the price is soo low. I rented a car a couple of times from Luton airport and although they push you to take overpriced insurance but I declined as my credit card company covers for excess waiver. When you rent the car, they will casually hand you over the car and would not explicitly take initiative to record any scratches but when you return the car they will examine it very carefully and will try to rip you off. Take loads of pictures when you take the car. A guy before me was charged 350 GBP for a very little scratch on the wheel. As he didnt inspect the car at the time of check-in, he had no evidence if the scratch was pre-existing or he caused it. Both times I was stressed out and although I was not charged, but the level of stress is not worth it. The price undoubtly are low, but in case something goes wrong, you will end up paying many times over. I would not rent from easirent again. If you still want to rent (although I wont recommend), please check in at day time, and take loads of pictures of every little scratch especially the wheel. Better you return the car in office hours, else easirent will screw you up if you return outside office hours. So far I am unaffected, but really they are crooks and bunch of liars. I would rather pay little more and in future rent from Avis, Hertz or Europcar.

I hired a car for 11 days, the girl at the front desk attitude was no better than a starving blood thirsty pit bull. The car was ready for me approximately 3.5 hours after I had turned up. After I had completed the necessary paper work, they started washing the car in the middle of the night. I insisted that I could not wait any longer and got a filthy car. I was shown around the car for damages with a flashlight. Luckily I spotted a few scratch and broken indicates light which was deliberately not recorded by the person handing over the vehicle who pretended to not have seen them. I failed to notice a tyre which had a chunk taken out of it which I noticed the following day in the light. After taking back the car, the pit bull like attendant did the inspection. She went straight for the tires, which indicated to me that had it all worked out. She was adamant that someone had to pay for it and it was me. After calling the manager, he indicated that someone had to pay or they would have to stand the cost. I am disappointed to have given this company even one star as they should not even be allowed to trade. They are evil, no better than the common criminals in the street.

Very bad experience having hired a car with Easirent (Edinburgh) via Rental Cars .com. Unsure of the plane times I booked the car from 9.00am on the Monday through to 6pm on the Friday for the sum of £31.67 which transpires was "too good to be true". I failed to read the very small print on the contract which says you must ring ahead if you are not going to make the pick up time or Easirent can not guarantee that your car will not be available. My mistake was booking the car prior to the flights as my plane didn't land until 10.00 and not having read the small print the car was no longer available although I didn't appreciate this when arriving at the airport. . I had to ring them on landing and they did very willingly pick me up from the airport, transport me to their depot in the middle of an industrial site several miles away, take me through the booking in process and only at that point did they tell me that my car was no longer available. Again though they were very kind and offered me another car, they only had a higher spec car available so would have to charge me £75 for this and could not refund me the original £31.67 so my total cost was now £106.67. (incidentally had I been quick thinking enough I should have gone outside used my phone to make an internet booking as when I tried the following week it was offering me the same car for £17.85 for a same day pick up as opposed to £75) Being stuck in the middle of no where and now looking at arriving late for a pre-arranged meeting I had little choice to accept the car. They also then proceeded to try and convince me to take out their extra insurance cover as they felt that the cover I had previously purchased through an independent third party wouldn't be "worth the paper it was written on" One more surprise to come though - when presented with the car it was covered in dirt as they had a "water" problem so hadn't been able to clean it. I did make a formal complaint to Easirent who confirmed that I had agreed to the terms and conditions so they were within their rights - they also confirmed that they deem ONE MINUTE late as a "late pick up" so be warned!!! Easirent will no doubt point out that my complaint to the BVRLA was found in favour of Easirent but it all hinges on the small print so if you are still going to book through Easirent I suggest you ring them the day before and warn them you may be late! Its a shame I cant give them 0 stars, Rentalcars.com, have offered me an unspecified discount off my next booking due to the dirty car and aggressive attempt to sell me extra insurance - do they seriously think I want to book through them again !!! End of rant.

3 times we booked with easirent, but sadly we only got a car ONCE. First time myself and my husband booked with them (to hire our car from Edinburgh airport )a lovely young man called "Scot" dealt with us when we got there, and we had NO complaints whatsoever. HOWEVER! 2nd time was November 2017, we had EXACT same credit card and driving licence, arriving at exact same location etc..., but were told we couldn't get a car because we had to have a passport to prove our ID. After a heated debate, we ended up having to get taxi, bus and train up to Dundee .from Edinburgh. And arrived at our destination several hours late. 3rd (and final) time , we booked a seven seater from 19- 24th April 2018. As we had our son and family with us, I rang up head office in January or february , just to make sure if passport, drivers licence and credit card was everything that was needed, THIS time , I was told "YOU NEED A UK DRIVERS LICENCE AND A CREDIT CARD IN THE DRIVERS NAME" I asked " are you sure because I don't want a repetition of the what happened in November. " I was told AGAIN , uk licence and credit card. ........... different story when we (4 adults and 3 children ) arrived. A Very Rude young man said we couldn't get get the people carrier unless we could give them 2 utility bills with proof of address, this is the1st time we had been made aware of this. After Another Heated argument, with a very abnoxious attendant, who didn't seem to give a " hoot" that we had 3 very upset children, .. we, once again had to get taxis , busses and trains in order to reach our destination Dundee. I would strongly recommend that the man who 'served' us , needs a few lessons in manners and how to treat Paying customers. That's all I have say on the matter.

The time scheduled for my pick up was 18:00; although I thought I had asked for 8:00 pm. However, I cannot say for certain whether this was my mistake. Nevertheless, I telephoned the rental company from the airplane when my flight landed, and that was within the window allotted for my car rental. I was told to go through customs, etc. and then call again. I went through customs, which took about an hour and then my luggage was lost, so I had to deal with that. Then I called the car company again, and they said they had given my car away and the cheapest car they had available for me was almost 20 times more expensive. Then I heard while I was there the person say the same thing was going to happen to five others that night! I think this might be a modus operandi. Needless to say I will never rent from this company again.

I feel one star is being generous, AVOID! We never actually even got to take the car we had booked online due to ridiculous additional costs and addons and requirements. We have rented cars lot's of times and thought £200/300 as a block was standard practice, we was informed we would have to pay a deposit if £1,300 on a credit card - which I'm guessing would have been a nightmare to get back, plus was told we HAD to pay for their daily insurance - even though the online price included insurance. Our car was also not available and was told we would have to pay a small surcharge to change car, this was actually for what I would consider a worse car. Added to this the two forms of address, we did login into our online banking but was told this was not good enough. When we arrived to the "office", this was miles away from all the desks in the airport where all the other companies are and where the they store their cars in the car park one of the two employees were arguing with another customer. We left, went back to the airport paid quite a bit more as it was a there and then scenario but are extremely pleased we did.

Terrible experience. We had booked a car car from the Aberdeen Airport branch (short shuttle ride away to a nearby hotel, the rental desk is inside the hotel). I already have my own third party excess insurance, so politely denied Easirent's additional insurance. The man at the counter became extremely unpleasant to deal with when I told him I was not interested in buying additional insurance and proceeded to waste over 20 minutes of my time at 10pm trying to very aggressively sell me the insurance, stating that he would be going over the car with a fine tooth comb to look for the smallest of scratches when I returned it, which my third party insurer would not pay out on. He then proceeded to pull out a piece of paper from a drawer, which had a printed list of reasons why we should be Easirent's insurance, which he then referred to and repeated what he'd already told us. After declining the insurance for the fifth time, I told the man to cancel my booking and that I would go and rent a car from another company which I did (even though I had paid in advance to EasiRent). Easirent have not refunded our money. Terrible organisation and terrible way to treat customers. Wish I had read the reviews on trip adviser. 2 out 5 stars on TA is not something to be proud of Easirent.

Avoid at all costs unless you like your eye wiped! Guy returned his loan car with a small score on a plastic wheel trim and informed us they charged him 175 quid! Prepaid the car hire and arrived at depot within their allocated timeslot, after declining their hard sell insurance, the employee then informed us that the car we prebooked was no longer available but could offer another vehicle at an additional 55 pounds per day! I this point I decided to call it a day and caught the bus. Took complaint up with head office, no interest to investigate and wouldn't refund payment. Absolutely horrendous experience. NEVER again.

They cancelled my booking as I arrive one hour late and pushed to upgrade to take extra money !! Read others reviews carefully !! The car door had a scratch; this was marked at check out. Upon returning the car they tried to charge me for a new door !!!!!!!!!!!! claiming another new scratch. When I refused to pay for a new door, they charged me >£300 for repair (of an old scratch) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . As others wrote They will find one excuse after another to either downgrade your service/car, increase the cost of your rental by forcing insurance or claim you have damaged the car. This seems to be standard practice and they should really be reported to trading standards. Their low rates are a real scam to trick. Hard to believe here we are in 2018 and companies like this are allowed to continue.

I too wish I had read these reviews before renting a car from Easirent. What a scam! Firstly when I arrived at their Office near Dublin airport it was a one man show. I waited for over 90 minutes just to get served. Then he requested 2 proof of address - as per their terms and conditions I had my drivers licence and passport but they refused to give me a car with a utility bill. Who travels around with a utility bill in their luggage? Luckily after some searching through my emails I found one. I had to pay a deposit of €95 for petrol and despite assurance that it would automatically refunded I am still waiting two weeks later and three phone calls. I would not rent with them again... fraudsters!!!

Absolute RIP OFF COMPANY!! No one should ever rent from this company. 1. I have booked a luton van with tail lift and they gave me a normal van eventhough I have confirmed when booked online! 2. No one mentioned about 150 miles allowance a day! 3. I used van 240 miles as I had to do extra rounds just because they gave me a wrong van and been charged 81 pounds extra on top of van rental which is rediculous!!! Never ever going to use that company again and would also just recommend everyone never go for this company!!!

Stay away from Easirent! Unfortunately, I read the bad reviews after booking with them. They refused to give me the car I had reserved because I didn't have with me 2 proofs of address. Even if I ignore the absurdity of this request (no other rental company needs this), their own Terms and Conditions state that only UK citizens need to provide this and I am NOT a UK citizen. Waste of money and time. They had refused to give a car to 3 other clients while I was in their office. We all went to Edinburgh Airport and found reputable companies to rent from.

Worst car rental company I have dealt with, living in Australia I generally have to rent vehicles in several countries. Avoid this company at all cost, my experience was the heavy sell of extras on pick up,no details of extras or charges to my credit card ( not just holding charge full debits) each time I queried was blatantly lied to. Note they are not a 24hr rental even if you phone as I did to verify same.Still waiting for monies back to my card. Also I rented through airline Ryanair so thought they would be reptable company,my advice read reviews for this company.

Hired a car at Belfast International, 27/3 to 5/4. Confirmed over the internet but when I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I was told none were available Unless I took out their insurance(I have a separate excess insurance policy as I am a frequent traveler) at an extra £25 per day! I was held over a Barrel as they wouldn't give me a car unless it was with their insurance and said I would be dropped back at the airport terminal. If this had happened I would still be charged for a car that they refused to me as I would be classed as a No show! They are a total rip-off unit.

It would appear that they have this rental game down pat. Cheapest online, then MASSIVELY over inflated insurance, holds on cards, petrol prices. Rented from two locations this term break, both filthy with complaining customers at both terminals. I heard one sales agent say and i quote, "if you don't purchase this cover you'll be liable for the cost of the replacement vehicle". I should have walked away then. I plan on making it my 2018 goal to spread the word far and wide that this company are by far the worst operators in an already dodgy industry.

Seriously do not rent off these people. Really surprised that they are allowed to trade. Trading standards, credit card companies, third-party brokers should be investigating this company. Total rip off.
