First time using the site to sell items, 99% of people messaging are trying to scam you. first item sold the customer wanted refund before it even got there. Ebay granted it instantly claimed not enough evidence to send. can't add pictures to the responses so of course there is no evidence. when I first started selling I got a message for first month free then was charged $20.00 after that and the refund plus the interest PayPal takes off I've ended up losing money and not getting the item back. this company is a scam at best and its easy to see how its not being used nearly as much. don't recommend selling here.

Ebay is an absolute joke of a website! I really feel sorry for full time sellers. I had the displeasure of selling a video game collection on there and I literally had to end most of my listings just to "get away" because the number of scammers, fake returns, not received claims (even though the items were signed for), people telling me to send things internationally via UK forwarding companies (even though my listings state that I won't) and when I politely refuse, the negative feedback and abuse starts. When I look at the feedback these people leave for others, it's clear they try this tactic all the time... The site is un-usable, open to abuse and you get zero support from anyone at Ebay so it's easier just to end my listings and find a different way of selling my collection. I understand some things can go wrong but the crazily high number of issues and problems is extreme and not acceptable at all. I used to sell a bit about 2 years ago and had a few issues but it was nothing compared to now! I have over 1,500 feedback and it was 100% before I stared selling this time around. Now I have 3 completely unfair feedbacks which can't be removed, I have unfair "returns" coming back because the buyers changed their minds but marked it as "not described" and it's costing me a fortune, for nothing. It's simply not worth the hassle, especially for the money Ebay charge! You do get genuine buyers of course but they are quickly forgotten about with all the chancers and scammers using the site. So, unfortunately I will be closing my account and I am refusing to pay Ebay fees because I literally cannot use the service provided by Ebay, it's impossible! The "terms of service" is what I refuse to pay for. I'm not happy with the "service" and I can't use it as intended (to sell things) so I won't be paying! my solicitor actually agrees so we will be claiming personal loses, time wasted and stress from Ebay which has had an effect on my business (outside of Ebay) because I am having so much time wasted and the site doesn't work. It's a disgrace!

I purchased an item ,advertised on EBay.ie from a Lituanian website EBay fraudently issued an invoice in GB pounds thus causing additional currency transaction fees for unnecessary transfer from Purchaser payment in Euro to GBP and back to Euro to pay Seller..I investigated further by attempting to purchase a Trailer Light fitting by signing in directly on EBay Italy. discovered the payment invoice issued in GBP. I recruited Friends to visit a number of European EBay sites directly with similar outcomes. Customer service ,hilariously located in Dublin.palmed off my request to investigate by suggesting the supplier was based in UK despite the fact that the light fitting is manufactured in Italy and sold directly from an Italian distributor on EBay.IT...these practices are,in my opinion extortion and ultimately fraudulent. Please advise on my best course of action..

Zero Customer Service allows sellers to lie and cheat buyers. EBay has gone right down hill to the point you are gambling loosing your money if the seller lies. Example: seller advertised as uk seller and dispatched from uk address. Item cost $149 and not as described. Weeks of wrangling with devious seller before they agree to accept a return but says you have to return to Hong Kong and they cannot provide a paid returns label. Ebay simply accepts that and tells you to return item. Seller gives multiple company names and multiple return addresses so which do you use? Tracking not guaranteed to foreign addresses with no signatures so seller claims item not received. A nightmare! And still zero eBay Customer Service. So eBay guarantee is worthless and your money is at risk every time to you buy on fleabay.

Do not recommended ever buying off eBay too far in advance like Black Friday shopping or Cyber Monday shopping because if you have a pos seller who refuses to help you out on a defective product EBay will not help you either if it’s past 30days of receiving defective item no matter the circumstances even if it’s 1 day over the 30days

This should be a ZERO stars review but that isn't allowed. If you are a seller on EBay stand by to get screwed. The buyer can do anything they want to your product then tell EBay it was not as advertised, and EBay will force you to give them a refund and take the product back, and provide return postage. You end up losing money and you have NO RECOURSE!!! The fees have gotten ridiculous and now they are doing away with using PayPal so they can keep more of the fees themselves. And they now expect you to give them your bank account information so they can make deposits and withdrawals as needed. Are you serious? Do you want these clowns storing your bank account information, waiting for the next enterprising Russian to hack your information? GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Ebay do not care about sellers, only buyers, even if you have 100% positive feedback, and its obvious the buyer is at fault, ebay don't care, as they will just take your money.

I have been a loyal customer of EBay for over 10 years. I purchased an item from a merchant who charged me via PayPal and then charged me again via Zelle, claiming the PayPal charge never went through (I know, my fault but I was desperate for the item and not thinking clearly). I never received the item. I reported to ebay, who will not cover the PayPal purchase via their ebay guarantee without contacting the merchant. However the fraudulent merchant was removed from Ebay and they closed the request because I had no other way to contact them. I never received the refund. Today after an hour research I finally was able to contact Ebay through a messaging application. Ebay does not offer a phone number for client help. Ebay said that they closed the case and could not refund me. Mind you I placed the order through Ebay and I did not choose this merchant on my own and that they are supposed to have money back guarantee. It is not my fault this merchant was fraudulent. This is their responsibility for having fraudulent merchants selling merchandise on their site. Integrity is unknown to Ebay and its merchants - they suspended the merchant's account but did not help me. I warn you do not order from Ebay or you will end up having your money stolen from you.

I have been a loyal customer of EBay for over 10 years. Back on 01/03/2021 I placed an order for three items with 3 different merchants. Two or so hours after I placed the order , I received a disturbing email from Ebay stating that one of the merchants was fraudulent and that the merchant was being removed from Ebay and that I would be receiving a refund. Based on that information I canceled the order from the other merchants and received a refund right away. However on the fraudulent merchant that was removed from Ebay I never received the refund. Today after an hour research I finally was able to contact Ebay through a messaging application. Ebay does not offer a phone number for client help. Ebay said that they would try to contact the merchant and that if the merchant did not refund the money they would investigate and decide wether or not to refund me my money . Mind you I placed the order through Ebay and I did not choose this merchant on my own and that they are supposed to have money back guarantee. It is not my fault this merchant was fraudulent. This is their responsibility for having fraudulent merchants selling merchandise on their site. I told the Ebay representative to close my account and to keep the money. Ebay are crooks. You have my word on this and my Ebay user name is lugojosea and my email associated with Ebay is tony131065 at aol.com . Integrity is unknown to Ebay and its merchants. I warn you do not order from Ebay or you will end up having your money stolen from you.

They are running their own scam. Imagine that you bid $200 for an item and set an automatic max bid at $500. Then , one other person bids $510. But.... retracts the bid. The bid should go back to $200 right? Well apparently at eBay it would take your max bid. They get a percentage of the sale. Well they just got payed a lot more. I asked for a copy of bidding history for the item I won. They refused to give it to me. I smell class action.

As a seller, you can't appeal a return request....until after they've returned the item. What world do these people live in... 0 protection. Buyer has broken an item and I was unable to refuse the return...

eBay once again proved they do not care about or protect their sellers. I pay over $1,000 a Month in eBay fees and yet when a customer try’s to scam you knowing that eBay ALWAYS sides with the buyer, eBay proves their unwillingness to help or protect a seller. I had a customer buy a $25 item and paid $2 for regular shipping(tracking would have been $15 for a $25 item) I shipped the item the next day and as per regular mailing service it was stated the item should arrive within 7-10 days. On the 8h day the customer left positive feedback saying thank you (for which is the exact same feedback he leaves for all his purchases) which acknowledges the receipt of the item. Another two weeks had passed an the customer now opened a case asking for a refund stating he did not receive the item!! I contacted the buyer asking him to please confirm the receipt of the item and informed them that the had already left positive feedback acknowledging the got the item, for which the customer stated they get a lot of items and where just going through all their purchases and could not find the card and MUST HAVE LEFT THE FEEDBACK BY ACCIDENT.....after all the common sense info was giving to eBay they stated it would take 48 hours to investigate and make a decision, well it took them 6 Hours to fully refund the customer and once again stiff the seller. EBay gives out refunds of YOUR MONEY like candy on Halloween. I’m finally done will eBay and will be closing my account.

I ordered a beautiful snowglobe for my mother on the 4th of December. They tried delivering on the 22 and I missed it. I picked up at the drop off point, opened it up and it was completely destroyed. And I know for a fact that is was broken for a while because the water had all dried up so I don’t even know when it was damaged. I have attempted several times to return or to contact help but it was very difficult and only caused me and my husband stress. I am very disappointed and angry that I will not get my money back, over $100. I will not be buying from eBay again and I give a very poor review of the services.
