As a seller, you can't appeal a return request....until after they've returned the item. What world do these people live in... 0 protection. Buyer has broken an item and I was unable to refuse the return...

eBay once again proved they do not care about or protect their sellers. I pay over $1,000 a Month in eBay fees and yet when a customer try’s to scam you knowing that eBay ALWAYS sides with the buyer, eBay proves their unwillingness to help or protect a seller. I had a customer buy a $25 item and paid $2 for regular shipping(tracking would have been $15 for a $25 item) I shipped the item the next day and as per regular mailing service it was stated the item should arrive within 7-10 days. On the 8h day the customer left positive feedback saying thank you (for which is the exact same feedback he leaves for all his purchases) which acknowledges the receipt of the item. Another two weeks had passed an the customer now opened a case asking for a refund stating he did not receive the item!! I contacted the buyer asking him to please confirm the receipt of the item and informed them that the had already left positive feedback acknowledging the got the item, for which the customer stated they get a lot of items and where just going through all their purchases and could not find the card and MUST HAVE LEFT THE FEEDBACK BY ACCIDENT.....after all the common sense info was giving to eBay they stated it would take 48 hours to investigate and make a decision, well it took them 6 Hours to fully refund the customer and once again stiff the seller. EBay gives out refunds of YOUR MONEY like candy on Halloween. I’m finally done will eBay and will be closing my account.

I was born not to order from you guys the exact word they used was shady but I did anyway. I saw an outdoor heated shelter for cats that I needed right now so I purchased it. Only then did you let me know it was coming from China would not be here till the middle of february. I immediately canceled and it said no already shipped. I believe shady was the correct word they used

I ordered a beautiful snowglobe for my mother on the 4th of December. They tried delivering on the 22 and I missed it. I picked up at the drop off point, opened it up and it was completely destroyed. And I know for a fact that is was broken for a while because the water had all dried up so I don’t even know when it was damaged. I have attempted several times to return or to contact help but it was very difficult and only caused me and my husband stress. I am very disappointed and angry that I will not get my money back, over $100. I will not be buying from eBay again and I give a very poor review of the services.

Hey buyers! Want to know how to borrow a seller's items (especially electronics) for a few weeks, even if the seller doesn't allow returns? Under Ebay's Money Back Guarantee Policy, you can keep the item for up to 30 days and then falsely claim an item wasn't as described and a seller has to refund you or make you return the item and you'll still get a refund! Regardless of whether a seller files a report to the Trust and Safety Department against the buyer, they still have to be refunded. The worst punishment a buyer can get is just not being covered for claims anymore. Spoke with customer support and they admitted they were aware of the problem. I would recommend staying away from this company if you're a Seller. And if you're a buyer- why buy off Ebay? Cheaper sites to buy off like Aliexpress (they tend to carry the same stuff), and Walmart & Target probably have what you're looking for. Also, mobile marketplace apps like Mercari/Depop have nice modern interfaces, people selling things for cheaper.

Bought and paid for item from seller robbus513402 on E-Bay. Never was delivered. Fedex said it was delivered, but to a different address other than my address. Made contact with E-Bay and seller, nothing was done. No refund, -Bay closed the transaction and could not leave feedback. It is a gamble to buy on E-Bay

Never received item. Seller just stalled and stalled. Asked ebay for help and no help there. Filed despite with credit card company and soon as ebay got notification they closed the case for request to get money back. I have purchased hundreds of items over the years but recently nothing but problems with sellers that dont have the item you pay for. This will finish my relationship with ebay for good.

Pierre Omidyar Pierre Omidyar founded online auction firm eBay in 1995 and now serves on the company's board. In 2002 eBay bought online payment company PayPal and spun it off in 2014. Omidyar currently owns 5% of eBay and 6% of Paypal. GREAT INFORMATION !!!!!!!!!

I reached out in terms of a return for damaged boots and neither the seller or ebay helped. They don't want to return my money or send a new pair of boots. I looked up the company I bought from and they have several different addresses and different numbers SOLD BY commtelsystems ------- BE AWARE WITH THIS COMPANY..... EBAY did not want to help either so they will let you loose your money........

If you are buying on EBay, than no problem at all. However, if you are selling on EBay, I would choose a different outlet. Customer service is very hard to deal with. No one can answer questions and you will be pushed off onto other people which ends up being an endless cycle of explaining your issue with zero help. I do not recommend selling on eBay.

They don't do anything to help when someone commits fraud. Their supposed customer service is people who sit on the other end and humor you by acting as if they are listening. They are not a business they are Co-conspirators to fraud. I don't understand how some many people have been ripped off and nothing can be done.

The site is being over run with Chinese knock offs and repetitive sales/auctions for the same product. The amount of time it takes to find what you're looking for is almost as bad as aliexpress, which is what this site is in danger of becoming.

eBay is about it's sellers rights. The seller and eBay does not live up to guaranteed delivery dates or even just basic delivery at all. Buyer creates work for themselves having to convince sellers to ship an item after shipping label has been created. The only service eBay can perform religiously is to debit your account when the shipping label is created. Sellers lose their accountability once the money changes hands. eBay is right behind them!

This is a ZERO star review by the way. After being on eBay for 21 years it's time for me to pull the plug. This company is absolutely awful what with its greedy fees, absolute pathetic and horrible customer service and most importantly now they even want your social security number to sell an item. That was a final straw for me. You are not my boss, I do not work for you and you are not my bank so what gives you the right to want my social security number? I will not give eBay any more of my time or business. Even after I pulled all of my auctions off of eBay, even as a buyer they blocked me from even sending a message to somebody who I bought from recently and I had to spend an hour on the phone to try and sort that out to which I was told this might be resolved in 48 hours. It's sad to see a company go from being brilliant to just having no ethics and being completely greedy.

Absolutely disgusting company. I purchased an item from prasad1103 which was so fake, not even the same as the photo, awful quality, awful stitching and having purchased the item/make several times before I know exactly what the genuine item looks and feels like. I was forced to return it and wait for a refund which I did. I then left negative feedback for the seller explaining the issues and ebay removed it without even telling me. Having asked them why they have decided that it was removed accidentally but surprise surprise they cannot reinstate it or let me resubmit feedback. This is not the first time I have had issues with ebay and questioned them as to why they are turning a blind eye to dodgy sellers. Probably because this seller sells a lot and is therefore beneficial to them. PLEASE PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! THIS COMPANY JUST GET WORSE AND WORSE!
