DALE VINCE - WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING??? Watch out, customers:🔥Here is an Energy Company who have NOT been able to replace a broken-down Electrical Meter in OVER 12 MONTHS!! They continue to charge me estimated amounts which are about double my actual usage this year (with one less person in the household). I cannot prove this but have repeatedly now explained it.. as the Meter is still out of order! 👎 The VERY FIRST appointment for an Engineer I was offered was for June 2021: NINE MONTHS after I reported the fault by telephone (October 2020). 🔥This company has since, stood me up, after a 5 hour wait and preparation on my part - by an Engineer who was NEVER given the correct replacement part for my unit. 🔥I have always replied extremely promptly and fully with all information - including a pic of my meter. 👎Additionally, I have been chasing multiple staff up continuously since November 2020, and no one was even slightly perturbed about the huge time lags, until I sent a VERY annoyed email in after the no-show (the day of which, I was assured that he was on his way). 🔥Since then, with all the extra motivation that can be mustered - I have only NOW received an re-appointment (apparently brought forward especially for me) for October 11th 2021: OVER A YEAR AFTER THE BREAK-DOWN. 👎👎👎In addition to NOT re-calculating and reducing Direct Debit amounts this year, Ecotricity also currently refuse to return the extra credit held on my account: which I believe as my money, is MY right to access 🔥👎👎👎 PLEASE CONSIDER ALSO: NOT A SINGLE MANAGER, MEMBER OF THE BILLING TEAM, OR COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT (whom I have been Including in correspondence for well over month) has come forward to either apologise to me, explain the situation, offer any recompense OR to even just have a decent and direct conversation with me. 🔥ECOTRICITY have just kept pushing one member of ground staff forward - who essentially has no major say in the infrastructure, or billing. 👎I have basically had ENOUGH by now: I am so appalled and let down by the lack of structure in their team: this energy company obviously having NOTHING in place to ensure an efficient turn-around on a faulty Meter. 🔥Ecotricity and their extended team have been extremely disorganised and inefficient on the whole (who books and Engineer in without giving him the correct part?). 🌟 I joined this company on a recommendation from a Marine Conservation Organisation whom they support. I moved on after many years with Good Energy, who had let me down with over 2-week laspes before responding to emails (if they ever answered at all). I thought that things could not get much worse. 🔥I sure was wrong. 👎When I first reported my faulty Electrical Meter (due to which I could not give a fresh reading) in October 2020, I had already been with Ecotricity for over two years: 👎OVER A MONTH passed before I heard anything further... and my first emails on this did not recieve a response for over 2 weeks at a time... I should have known te fiasco which was promised, then. The shape of things to come? Is there a decent renewable Energy company out there, for London ??? 🔥🔥🔥

I like ecotricity. They cost a bit more than other suppliers - but it is your choice to use them, you obviously don't have to. I enjoy knowing the electricity I use is green, and I've found their communications fine - they don't seem to be scamming me, they are just a bit expensive. I also like their website it's easy to use, and nice and green.

Unlike these other reviews which I doubt, I've found the company much cheaper than all I've looked at,, customer service can take a while to gey through, my duel fuel bill to be £80 per month, whick again is far cheaper than other top off companies glad I switched

Worst energy provider I have ever been with. They set my MPAN number up to the wrong address so for 3 years my supply was changing every 3 months, constantly having to phone and get it sorted out. It took them 3 years to rectify the mistake they had made. At one point I have 3 suppliers saying they supplied me all at the same time and I owed all of them for the period. Ecotricity only then took action in sorting it out because I reported them to the ombudsman in which I was compensated. But during the case was open with the ombudsman I would call ecotricty to sort my account out and they would refuse to speak to me because I had opened a case. Therefore again in limbo for a further 3 months until the case was closed. Unprofessional and have no consideration for the stress they cause their customers, worst suppliers ever.

Most unreliable chargers you will find. They only charge my Audi Etron for about 1 minute before the error message appears and charging stops. The day this company’s chargers are removed from service stations cannot come soon enough.

Impossible to get anyone to talk to you or respond to emails! I've had a query with my account for ages. Really rubbish customer service. Very poor web site. There are plenty of green providers out there. Don't choose Ecotricity!

Took over £4000 from my account WITHOUT permission. FAILED to set up direct debit correctly. Overcharged is by a lot, then failed to rectify. No space for negative stars, otherwise would rate at -5

**Avoid Ecotricity at all costs!** The cost of their plans are absolutely extortionate. Go somewhere else! Don't even bother getting a quote. They can't compete. Their customer service is absolutely shocking and their mobile app is absolutely useless. I cannot stress the need to avoid this company. I left Ecotricity a year ago (2020) and in June 2021 I received a letter through my letterbox telling me I needed to pay £220? This was the first time I'd heard of this. I immediately contacted their credit support team asking for verification of how I'd managed to be slapped with this bill this late on into the contract ending. I received a reply saying this was my final invoice. I subsequently asked them to verify to me how I'd manage to wrack up a bill so high and how I'd only received this a whole year later? They are yet to reply back. Months pass, still no reply, then all of a sudden I then started receiving texts and calls from an agency called ACS, who firstly, I had no idea who they are, I didn't consent to sharing my data with them; then all of sudden I find out they're a company called 'Advanced Collection Systems' and I'd been put on their collections roll by Ecotricity? Can you believe it? I emailed Ecotricity's credit support team, got no reply, and then instead of getting back to me so I could set up a payment plan (if the outstanding amount was correct) they've just forwarded my details to a collections agency! Now, despite me reaching out, they've now got the gaul to charge me late fees! Nearly £50's worth! YOU IGNORED ME!? Of course, I was told that if I coughed up the full amount all at once i wouldn't have to pay the fees, but if I wanted to set up a payment plan I WOULD have to pay the fees. It's a F**KING joke! Absolutely shocking! Cannot believe a company can operate like this in 2021. If this is the price of Green energy, I'm not interested. The sooner this company goes bust the better.

AVOID ECOTRICITY !!!!!!!!! Hopeless. Rude and unhelpful. Takes ages to get basic enquiry on the phone. Overpriced constantly trying to raise their prices. Can send you paper bills - but then say that they cannot send a contract as a letter.

If I could give zero stars I would. Expensive energy. Incompetent staff. Expensive phoneline charges. Impossible to get hold of. Horrendous customer service (hours spent on hold on the telephone, they take 3-4 months to respond to emails) Avoid at all costs!

I wasn't informed at the start of my tenancy at my previous address as the landlord conveniently forgot to tell me and got a big electricity bill from ecotricity 10 months later, after getting assistance to pay the bill they called a month after to ask why I hadn't paid my bill. I told them that if they had sent a bill I would have sorted it out but waited until another month had passed before giving me a bill for 2 months via email advising me on setting up on direct debit or setting up an online account with them, I don't have direct debits or online accounts as I am on esa universal credit and don't receive much money. I have explained this to them, they act all sympathetic and then do the complete opposite, my latest problem with them now since I left the property is a last bill to pay off and my account supposedly closed. I spoke to a customer support Assistant about my bill and recognition of the closure of my account with them, she seemed happy to send me the last bill via email with a barcode attached so that I could pay it gradually till the bill was paid and also included confirmation that my account was now closed, only to find an email from a debt collection company asking me to call them about my electric bill. I called them to find out why they were contacting me, they said ecotricity had paid £17 costs to retrieve the electric bill payment owing, I explained to them that I had an email from the customer support Assistant confirmation, they asked me to send them the email and put a hold on my account for 14 days whilst they get back intouch with their clients about the matter. I got another email from the collection agency to inform me that they have no acknowledgment of that agreement of paying my bill and as the payment has not been received my account is not closed, basically calling me a liar so if anyone knows anyone that can help me resolve this problem I would be happy to hear any suggestions, they are an absolute nightmare

If I could give 0 stars I would. Changed to them as local employer to support local. Decided to add gas to get dual fuel discount, huge mistake, forgot to take direct debit for a month and bill has risen in 4 months from £98 to £204 per month. Same for my daughter who lives in a 1 bed new build with a A energy rating bill has gone from £38 to £140 per month. Think Dale Vince needs to investigate this poor service and reviews unless of course he only in it for the money................. We both switched today £204 down to £108 and £140 down to £27 😡

As with other reviews, it seems ecotricity are a scam organisation trying to take advantage of unsuspecting customers by hitting them with huge bills without actually ever discussing a tarrif or plan with them. I stupidly stayed with this company when I moved into this property and have heard nothing back from them over phone, letter or email about my account. I will take it the full way, companies like this should be shut down for their inability to be transparent to their customers.

I got a bill the other day for electricity from ecotricity stating I owe the £636 for 19 months electricity, I don't even have an account with them , I've been in the new build since I took it on, first tenant and have been with E- ON from the start .....how does that work

A terrible company. The person we bought our house from was with Ecotricity. I hadn't heard of them before. On paper, as we were already with a green supplier, we would be a good fit. However, they tried to charge us triple, made mistake after mistake, tried to blame other companies, never called when they said they would and keep demanding payment for a bill that's triple what it should be. Avoid like the plague.

Due to their awful estimations, reliably uncommunicative customer service, and disorganisation, we had to move on. There was also the issue of billing... why do they have smart readers? Why do they allow for manual meter reads? They merely estimate throughout the year only to slam unsuspecting customers with heavy bills later on. Unless you want a system based purely on automated and erroneous service... stay away from Ecotricity. I cannot stress this enough. Their utter reliance on algorithms and terrible follow-ups is un-needed stress during these COVID times.

Thieves, Avoid as they will deceive you at the beginning, then will hike up the estimation rapidly every month Avoid. Worst energy supplier ever. Ecotricity started off with estimated bills which were pretty accurate. Then month after another they start hiking up the estimates. Their estimation have been increased from £18 to £348 within the period of 5 months!!! I even switched off my heater at this cold weather and I still receive ridiculous overcharged bills. Worst customer services. They will rip off your money. The online website does not work. I cannot log in despite calling them over 10 times. I will raise this to the higher authority but I thought to write here so nobody will go through a similar experience.

as a landlord, i am very disappointed with the poor service receiving- I would not recommend to anyone to join. their point caliming that they are Green energy, does not help, as you get so frustrated with their service that the green is erelevant
