Warning Everybody. I am having a nightmare with Furniture Village's after care. I am now reading reviews and seeing that lots of others are having the same issue. They are great when you are in the store, however their attention to detail and after care is terrible. I was over charged and sent the wrong size sofa. I had to fight for ages to get the sofa taken back. I am still trying to get the sofa and over charges taken off my fiance, no one will take responsibility, I am worried this is going to black list my name. My bed I brought from them broke after one month. They are refusing to take any responsibility. I am going round and round in circles. The customer care team refuse to put me on to a manger. Can anyone offer advice on where to go next, I am thinking small claims? I am shocked at the treatment I have received and would not wish this on anyone. I have ordered items from Wayfair and DFS, fantastic! Please read their reviews before ordering anything from them, shocking, there are many people left in the same boat as me looking at the reviews left.

Awfull service from Cambridge when we went into to store to change things the salesman was rude and very intimidating made us feel we didn't have option to do any thing walked of like a spoilt child mumbling under his breath! Absolute disgrace never use again

We too suffered all the delivery woes as other people on here. We had to wait 10 weeks for our “approximate 6 week delivery”. FV never contacted us about delays, we had to chase them. One morning I called for an update and was told our item would arrive in 2 weeks. That same afternoon I got a voicemail from distribution office to say item was ready for delivery! It took 2 days to get distribution to answer the phone and then I was told my item was not available. When I hit the roof they eventually did find the item and delivered it in 72 hours. Shop staff were courteous, delivery guys were great but the inbetween was poor. Shop with caution....and patience!

Please read till end !!! I wouldn't Evan give 1star if possible. So when I first went to the wednesbury store I thought the same as the other people on here lovely staff really attentive but I was quickly mistaken they are so nice while taking your money but please read on I'm not just one of those people who moan I hate them myself but this place is unreal. Firstly I ordered a sofa and paid £500 for extra back. I was told my sofa would arrive before Christmas and it did after 6/7 phone calls and days of work waisted because they DONT call you to say it's not coming so you will have to call them. When the sofa did come guess what is was missing the backs but I thought well things happen I'll call them but while being told I was lying about them by delivery staff I was then told by the store we forgot to order them but we will have them with you just 2 weeks wait so I thought ok 2 weeks not a big deal. Only 3 month later still not here !!!! I've called them about 30/40 times been on the phone to mangers and believe me I'm understanding but to be told time n time again another week , mangers laughing on the phone as they didn't put the phone on hold properly and then to be told they ran out of fabric to make them and if I can't wait then they will come and collect it on the 24th December ! After hours of I'm just going to be honest an argument with the manger I was then told they would be here a week after Christmas an if I wanted them I will have to pick them up myself as they can't deliver they are to busy but for the inconvenience he would take of the delivery change which I found laughable in all honestly n couldn't believe he made out he was doing me a favour he then did offer £80 but that was not the store no that was from the maker to apologise for the wait due to furniture village. I called today and was told they where there and I had to go and get them as he had removed delivery and in all honesty I can't Evan be bothered to argue about it I just will collect them but this is the bit that topped it of for me. I CALLED THE STORE TO TELL THEM I WAS GOING TO REPORT THEM TO TRADING STANDERDS SO THEY CANT DO THIS TO OTHER PEOPLE AND I WAS TOLD BY A MEMBER OF STAFF PLEASE DONT REPORT ME ITS THE MANGERS IV HEARD THEM TALKING AFTER YOU HAVE CALLED AND I TRIED TO HELP AND THEY SAID NOT TO BOTHER AND TO STOP GETTING INVOLVED HE THEN SAID THE MANGERS WONT LET THEM HELP PEOPLE AS THE MORE THEY DO FOR PEOPLE THE MORE PROFET THEY LOSE AND HE TOLD ME HE IS REALLY SORRY BUT HE COULDNT HELP MORE AND I ASKED IF THIS WAS JUST ME IT HAD HAPPENED TO AND WAS TOLD NO ITS ALL THE TIME THEY DONT CARE AND STOP PEOPLE FROM HELPING CUSTOMERS AND SAY F**CK THEM ITS NOT OUR PROBLEM NOW WE HAVE THERE MONEY BUT WE COULD OF HAD THEM SORTED AGES AGO FOR YOU BUT THEY SAID NOT TO WAIST MY TIME AND TO MAKE YOU WAIT !! I'm sorry but the store needs closing if this is the case and you should be ashamed of your selves he gave me there names and I will be reporting them and i would look into actually getting mangers with customer service skills your a big company and treat staff and customers this way is horrendous! Please please don't use this company if you do good luck

furniture village are an absolute disgrace. I ordered a lamp on 26/12/18. They state on the email that items will be delivered within 7 days, if you live within 40 miles of the warehouse (which I do). It took several phone calls to customer services, and to the warehouse to get the item delivered which took over a week. The warehouse do not answer their phone, and they are impossible to get into contact with. Finally, the floor lamp arrived on Monday 7th January. However, the lamp arrived with scratches over the base and where the wire is connected to the lamp, it was chipped. I contacted customer services, who asked me to take photographs and send these into the email address they provided. The automatic response states that you should receive a response within 3 working days, it is now 5 working days and I still have not had a response. I have decided to keep the lamp based on the premise that the lamp is hidden behind the sofa. I knew it was going to be a nightmare to attempt a refund or an exchange based on the service I had already received. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM FURNITURE VILLAGE. They ought to be disgusted with themselves.

We found Christine very helpful when we purchased our 3 piece suite today. She was professional and helpful without being pushy, allowing us to make the right choice. The coffee and cookies helped and were tasty. We enjoyed chatting about our dogs while doing a comfort test.

Poor experience. Purchased a fitted wardrobe which was delivered and partly assembled before Christmas. Two doors were damaged and the fitters said incorrect lights had been supplied. They erected what they could and then left, so I have a wardrobe frame with no doors! I have phoned you twice for an update and nothing. No call back as promised. Expected better from furniture village.

Bedroom units, including wardrobes purchased, should have looked closer at the display units. Although these were delivered pre-assembled, construction of these units is exactly the same as any flat pack furniture but these cost about 5 times the price. The colour of the glossy front panels has faded and now looks old after only 6 months.

Ordered a footstool on the 7th October last year and was advised that it was a 11 week wait. On the 23rd of December we rang to see if the stool was in and were told it had come into the warehouse on 17th December. Six phone calls and numerous promises from manager to get the footstool from the warehouse into the store so that we could collect it we cancelled the order on 5th January,with the manager promising to have it in the following Tuesday. Come on Furniture Village your warehouse is only in M K!!! How hard is it to put the stool on one of the numerous deliveries you have to the store each week. Absolute rubbish service!!! The one star rating given for the polite service given by the 1st salesman who took the original order.

Promised pre Christmas delivery never happened phoned customer services promised delivery on 31st of December never happened phoned today basically not interested cancelled order still not bothered my advise shop elsewhere by the way we ordered the furniture in October priced at £1300 now sale price of £900 but advised at a pre- sale price of £1600

Extremely bad service, from customer services I have bought a table from furniture village, when I noticed the table had areas on it that had not been varnished. I contacted the store and customer services and was informed that I had to first use guardsman. Guardsman came and confirmed that there was a problem with the manufacturer of the table, they also said there was scratch marks, and three black marks. Guardsman asked me to forward the report to furniture village. In the early feb/mar I bought the letter to my local store, they agreed that the report stated it was a manufacturer fault, and they took the report and sent it to customer services. Ten months later, requests from several people people, alleging no receipt, pictures sent, lost on there system, each person I spoke to requested either a another copy, or stated they wanted something else. After several conversations, over fourty phone calls, I was told they disagree with guardsmans report, and that the supervisor who has lots of experience has decided that it must be wear and tear, and nothing to do with what is written in the report. Let me please make it clear No One from furniture village, has been to my home, No one apart from guardsman has been in my home, yet it i was told, damage could be due to my home conditions. My warning to everyone, is that furniture village customer service team, actually let down customers, are not able to share information and a problem bought yo their attention nearly a year ago, has still not been resolved appropriately..

New sofas unfit for purpose and FV don’t want to know as technician found no manufacturing fault. Then the manufacturing standard must be very low! Cushions collapse the moment you sit on them. Disgraceful quality and customer service.

Should have looked at reviews then would not have entered the shop we bought two hypnos pillows on sale at74POUNDS EACH only to find they are sold everywhere els at 65 pounds or less.they say they are reduced from 99pounds not true.they do give you a cup of coffee works out at 9 pounds a cup

Think furniture village must be in some kind of financial trouble, as they are happy taking money upfront for goods but don't turn up on delivery dates arranged. Pathetic excuses given for failing to deliver like, they have'Lost' the sofa in warehouse, then send a text saying they are actually delivering it, then don't turn up. And when you speak to the on line chat they have no explanation for it! So happy to sit on the payment but now lost the goods, how can you loose a sofa, maybe the whole thing is a cover up for going busy! Disgrace this company!!

I was about to place an large order and quickly asked via online chat why is the discount code they sent me not working. The customer service lady was so rude, telling me I am already getting a great price for a great furniture what more I want. Well, I want great customer service. I dont know why they sent me a £25 discount if I join the newsletter, which then I can not use. I did not proceed with my order, I am going to buy my furniture somewhere else where they do offer me a discount, the customer service is polite and the delivery charge is less than £49.

We were very well looked after by Aliciya after being to 2 other well known stores and getting fed up with the pushy salesmen. The staff at furniture village are not at all pushy and left us to discuss and reflect before we purchased. Very pleased with everything

Do not buy from this company. We have had the same problems as everyone else. After sales are totally shocking to the point where something needs to be done about it. They are causing decent people so much stress. You feel like you have been robbed as you do not get the item you paid so much money for. DON'T BUY FROM THEM. Plenty more decent furniture places.

Damaged products passed off as new and awful customer service The service up to buying a product from Furniture Village Romford is decent. It's what happens after they have taken your money that warrants the one star rating. Was advised that our sofa would arrive within 10 weeks (to expect 8 weeks). Was also advised that I would be kept inform of any delays and that we'd get a call two weeks beforehand to organise the delivery date. Did that happen? Of course not! Over 10 weeks past and no contact whatsoever. I contacted Furniture Village who said they cant help and that I would have to get in contact with the store. After sending complaints, I got a response stating that the sofa was not in the country and would be due to dock in several weeks. If there was going to be delays, a courtesy call/message would have been appreciated but Furniture Village wont bother. They'll miss their own timeframes time and time again and you wont be informed unless you chase. The sofa then arrived torn, uneven with one side several inches higher than the other and the feet misaligned. Furniture Village regards this as within their acceptable limits! Terrible product and the worst customer experience you can imagine. Order no: 269179375

We took delivery of our purchase from Furniture Village on 30 May 2018 - a Nicoletti Lucano 2.5 Sofa and 2 x matching recliner chairs (salesperson Marian Reed). Overall payment was £5,359.00, including Guardsman Protection Plan (£225.00) and delivery charge.(£49.00) Within one week (6 June 2018) I rang Furniture Village to complain about stretched leather in the seating area of both recliner chairs. Ian Richardson, an Independent Technician from Servico, called to our home on 27 June 2018 to inspect the suite. He concluded that he found no structural or manufacturing defect with it. We informed him that we hadn’t complained about structure or manufacturing defect but had complained about the very stretched leather in the seating area, to which he agreed. We signed his form. He asked if we had been told that Italian leather was soft. We informed “No”. There was also a fault in the padding on one of the seats, he stated that probably something could be done about that. On 6 July 2018 we received a letter from Furniture Village Customer Care Team to say the Technician could find no fault or flaw caused by a structural or manufacturing defect and so the issue we had advised them of was not covered by their complementary 5 year guarantee and sorry for any disappointment. We went into FV and a salesman approached us, took details of our complaint. He said no matter how much money had been spent, i.e. either a little or a lot, he wanted to have happy customers!! He went onto the computer, got our file up, said he had all the details necessary and would get back to us, we were quite rushed out of the shop. He didn’t get back to us. Approx a month later after hearing nothing, I rang FV and was told by another Salesperson that nothing was to be done, also he knew the Salesperson who sold us the suite and said that she would have informed us that Italian leather was soft!!! She did not, we were never ever told. He also said if I wished to, I could get in touch with Citizen’s Advice Bureau or the Furniture Ombudsman. The call ended. I did contact the Furniture Ombusdman in September, but on 22 November, received an e-mail stating that having reviewed our case file, and having weighed up the evidence provided by both parties, there was insufficient evidence to uphold the claim. I was then given other options to take to have the case reconsidered. We would NOT advise anyone to shop at FV, the staff will smile in your face, let you think they are doing something to help you, and then do absolutely nothing if you have a problem. They do everything to cover themselves and not the customer. Customer service is not there!!! We could not be more disappointed with our expensive suite of shabby furniture, which is only seven months old to date. We are not happy customers.
