“They sell insurance through Cover Genius, which is a fraudulent company that doesn't have a valid phone number to reach out to follow the status of your claims. I filed a claim on May 1st, 2022, it's been 3 months and none has reached out to get my money refunded. I asked GO To Gate for a valid phone number to call Cover Genius and they did not provide me any valid information to solve my problem. My next step is I'll file a claim through the FLORIDA OFFICE OF INSURANCE REGULATION, c/o Department of Financial Services.”

“I'm not sure why this company is still operating. I had to fight so hard to get a refund from them for flights cancelled due to Covid. Their customer service is practically non-existent! Eventually, I facilitated the refund myself, directly with Ryanair, who paid the money to Gotogate. However, I still had to battle with Gotogate, who claimed they needed to "raise a refund request" with the airline, and that the cost of this would be deducted from my money - this, in spite of the fact that Ryanair had paid them weeks previously and my money was sitting in their account! They are dishonest and fraudulent - please avoid!”
“Absolutely worst. I booked a flight on Spirit Airlines. GoToGate got my money. They never confirmed with me so I booked with another site and requested my money back. I received a text a few hours before my flight that I had tickets on Spirit. I called Spirit (since GoToGate is absolutely worthless). I found out that GoToGate invented a fake email for me. I found out that they negotiate tickets last minute. I found out that GoToGate received a refund back but I am out $800. This place is not legit.”
“I wish I could give a zero-star rating for GOTOGATE. They cancelled our flight on March 24, 2022 through an email and when you call their customer service for any update on the refund, you get no explanation and you get rude and impatient people on the phone. I called mid-May and two weeks after and I have been pleasant on the phone both times. They have no way of giving any update on the refund process and expect you to wait for their email only when the refund is on the way. It can apparently take up to more than six months for any update at all. You will have hoped you have never encountered them at all. I am a frequent traveller and this is the worst service I have ever come upon. I am warning everyone, NEVER USE GOTOTGATE FOR ANYTHING!”
“Myself and my wife booked flights worth £1790 last night. They did not go through in the first credit card transaction due to issues with authorising from the bank but went through second time and were in my pending transactions.
I phoned Gotogate today to confirm and was informed the payment had not gone through so I proceeded to book again a few hours ago.
Now the payments have gone through twice and I have two bookings.
Phoned Gotogate explaining and asking them to cancel the duplicate ones I booked only a few hours ago and told it would cost me £500. This is absolutely crazy, surely there is a "cooling off period" and also do the decent thing and admit they caused confusion and refund us. It's really dodgy customer services. Looking into ways we can escalate this higher but would be eager to have any advice on the situation.

“Avoid at all cost. Plain bullies and thieves. They refused to return my money, despite having paid in full from Air Canada on my agreed refund. Air Canada didn’t care either of the fact when I told them. It took over one year, legal action on my behalf and countless hours of stress with them telling me they are NOT going to return them at all (they even said that on the phone after I waited for a good 40 minutes in hope I put down the phone). “I attempted to cancel and they kept giving me the run around. They told me I needed to contact the airline, when I contacted the airline, they told me to contact gogate. Contacted gogate AGAIN and they told me to call the airline to cancel. I was back and forth like this for days! My flight is still not canceled! However, despite being told by gogate that they cannot cancel my flight, they did not hesitate to tell me they are charging me more than 1/3 of my refund. Stating that this charge is from the airline although the airline's website says nothing about these fees.”

“Worst flight booking experience in my life. I called to change my flight time and they kept telling me they will transfer me to another department then they hang up the phone. This is the most rude and disgusting company I have ever bought service from!!!! Never buy tickets from them!”
“I ordered a flight yesterday from GotoGate, while I was ordering I got an error page saying that something went wrong and to try again later.
I tried to order again the same flight, this time the order went ok and got a confirmation number.
less than an hour later I saw that GotoGate have double-booked the flight, and charged me twice for the same flight.
When I tried to get a full refund from their support team they said that they cannot give me full refund, but only a partial one.
I explained the situation ; that this is a bug in their systems and I should not be charged twice for the same flight, and there is no sense to book the same flight with the same passangers.
That ended with no real answer or wishing to solve the issue, instead they refered me to send an email to `etraveligroup.com` customer relations ,a b2b thrid party company , which they use their services inorder to operate.
etraveligroup responded with an automatic email to that mail that my "query has not been registered" and that was it, there was no further support from any side.
I find this unacceptable , their website mistake should not be rolled to the customer and full refund should have been made.”
“Don't use this company. Very bad service and expensive. If you want changes you are forced to go via gotogate and this cost a lot more then directly via the airline itself. You pay extra is you want help, so extra payment for almost no service. Furthermore it takes on average 1h if you want to speak the help desk which you need to contact because they never answer to mails. Even on review websites they send automated response messages. Check the reviews on reviewwebsites before using them.”
