Very poor service by staffs at Halfords , Ocean park Portsmouth. Their bike machenics needs retraining, I was charged for parts on my bike that wasn't replaced. I had to take my bike to another bike machenics to get it done properly.

Halfords autocentre rugby review 06/04/20 I'm writing this review you because I am very annoyed at how Halfords autocentre in rugby have treated me let's start from the first point, I booked my MOT online at a reasonable price and I thought these guys would be legit straightforward friendly and happy to help, I then turn up in the booked day and handed my car in for the MOT, I was told prior to this that if I handed my car in in at 9 a.m. then my car car should be done by no later than 11:45 a.m. so the morning of dropping my car off then handed the car keys in in a very good condition to the garage assistant and said to me ohhh the car won't be done till the car won't be done by 11:45 it will be done for 2pm and we will call you. Come 2pm no call so I called and a guy over the phone said sorry it will be finished at 4pm so I gave Halfords the benefit of the doubt and waited till 4pm where they again didn't call so I called and asked why , so they said sorry about this your car will be done for 5pm bearing in mind I dropped the car off at 9am , so Halfords autocentre rugby called me eventually at just before 5pm saying it's ready sir! You can come and collect it now cheers after trying to explain how annoying this was , I then did the deeds and go my car key back and walked straight out the door , then straight away the car key fell apart in my hand to the floor, luckily this happen before I put it in the ignition 😡😡😡 Halfords autocentre rugby deny the key was in good condition and offered to put a new pin back in and casing was a small bit open when my car key was in good condition before it went in , and have emailed they with a quote from vauxhall rugby after going down to vauxhall to see the damage to my key and the whole key needs replacing and sent Halfords head office a quote from vauxhall so I've had to get it temporarily repair it and going to pursue compensation for the damage to my property which they say they deny even though it's on camera thank you Halfords Case number: 09537307

Very ignorant staff member who served me . I went to Selly Oak store to return an item and also to pick up a new order. I was asked for the receipt which I could not instantly find on my phone but she had the order receipt which was with the return item of which I thought was the receipt as it contained all the details of the purchase but she said was no good and I should of had the receipt ready on my phone before going into the shop, and I said there was nothing on the returns section that stated that otherwise I would of. She argued that it was, shame she obviously does not read her own business website. In the meantime I had then found the receipt but with the distancing rule you have in store she could not even see it anyway. Only for her to say it does not matter she sorted it anyway. So why did she not deal with it like that in the first place instead of all the caffuffle.

Absolutely terrible ordered a power washer on line got email to confirm pick up went to my local store 3 miles away no power washer in stock absolutely poor service never again

Just been to collect an order, had a message to say it was in two days ago so tried to collect yesterday after work. Queue was huge so gave up. Just been again to collect, to be told they're closing at 6. Explained I worked for the NHS and working all hours god sends, staff didn't seem to care even though it was 5 to 6, they weren't letting anyone else in. Guess you can cancel my order. Ordered a bicycle said it would arrive Saturday or before. It’s Saturday now and still no tracking no updates or anything rubbish service would not recommend Halfrauds to anyone

My wife had a windscreen wiper fitted that took two of them. The wiper came off scratching the windscreen so bad they had to fit a new windscreen. Lost a day off work, Customer Service is SHOCKING. Will never go there again!

Phoned customer service today. The duration of the call was over 45 minutes. I understand you are all busy due to this virus but I got hung up on. I urgently needed customer service and i feel let down. I have mental health issues and struggle as it is to communicate. This is unacceptable in any event. I have wasted what little money i had left to get some credit to get. I'm not on contract I pay as I go. Truly shocking.

Cannot believe that you are reopening the stores all over after only just shutting due to Coronavirus Putting all the staff at risk. So you say that no customer will enter the store and it will be on the car park deal , and everything will be done at the front of store , credit cards only But yet the machines for credit cards are plugged into your tolls. And I have never seen you use wireless ones, but also you will be putting you staff and customers at risk cos some one still has to do the machine With the customers so how exactly is that going to work distances between staff and customers Lock down means lock down this is the only way we can control this contagious virus from affecting and killing our loved ones we need to just remember how Italy are not coping with this situation and look where it’s getting them more deaths and younger people every day So for god sake of not just the staff/ customers shut the shop And stop penny pinching

Hi, I want to share my opinion on the staff at Halford Bolton as of today, I had an hour to spend my Van for MOT at 12.40, I was there at 12.30, but due to a viral virus it was written on the site that the store was down and not even working I saw nothing, went outside the door of downtown Mott and waited half an hour for the attendees to look at me smartly and laugh. Then one of the employees came to me and told me that I was already late to get to my garage because I had to be there at 12 and 40 and was there to go to the reception, given that a virus was announced today that did not more people should be approached 2 meters away. I was standing in front of the garages, which saw me very well and could come to me and make fun of me and finally kicked me out of the workshop. He was not interested and shut up, so at this point it is very, very bad and he talks very bad in semi -ford and just thinking of taking people's money and then chasing them like a wild dog. I'm very disappointed with their attitude and the attitude they told me and I have no words at all, they took my money, they didn't even want to talk to me on the phone about my situation and they didn't even give me explanations, they just kicked me out of the service and hang up. That's unacceptable. Halfords in store Stroud. Very rude staff. My girlfriend asked for Mann oil filter (usually +/- £14) quoting reg number and showing my text to her of what was wanted. She was sold cheaper filter (+/- £4) for £8. My good lady is not mechanically minded and Halfords saw her coming!!! Sold something not wanted and ripped off as well. When I returned the unwanted filter I was met by a rude member of staff, then two and eventually a third. Gang mentality and not helpfull. Denying my lady asked for Mann filter and denying they were shown text with details. Ripped off and sold something that was not asked for. Plenty of other places to buy from. Next time I will order online from the comfort of my home from people who are happy to sell you what you want but NOT HALFORDS. VERY BAD SERVICE!!!

Got 3 bikes from them 1 had 5 different lots of paint chips that they gave me £6 off the price of the bike because they didnt have any other bikes at the same price or size I wanted then one of the other bikes breaks are rubbing and holding on after they set them up and safety checks where done these where Christmas presents so didnt have time to not take them as they where as I didnt see this till i collected was told there is nothing more they could of offered me

Recently purchased a Carerra bike for our son's birthday, Halfords set it up, took 4 hrs to build it, as "the bits in the box didn't fit together". After a few weeks whilst my son was riding the bike the back wheel came off, he was lucky that he wasn't injured. Since found out on Twitter this same thing has happened to another two families in the UK in the past two months. Store manager was very rude and blamed my son. Advised they could repair "the bike (that) was too dangerous to use" - Manager's words, but repair only at our cost. Not ok Halfords, after paying £300 for a bike weeks before. When I replied I will need to report this to Trading Standards as I don't want any other child to be hurt with their bike wheels coming off, the manager, said, "Trading Standards will do nothing". I had no idea that Halfords treated their customers with such disdain.

Brought a reverse camera had it fitted was not given the box or instructions, plastic panel to my boot is now broken and wont clip back on, dirty fingerprints on my beige interior from fitters dirty hands.. and interior mirror does not Dim even though i brought the dearest one for the dimming feature... try calling them no one answers in putney rd store or abbey lane so gotta go back down on my day off from work... poor service wish i had gone elsewhere .

Poor and shocking service!! Had to share my poor experience. Went to Halfords to buy a bike for my sons 5th birthday. Asked for advice from their experts- they setup a bmx style bike for my son and said all adjustments are perfect for his size... however- he always had an issue reaching the brakes which affected his riding skills, and so was not allowed to go down hills because he couldn’t brake properly! 5 months later went holiday and hired a bike for him, and we were shocked how he could brake and ride with huge confidence! Halfords bike was the problem not my son. Went to Halfords for the trusted brand name but poor cycle setup lead to my son riding poorly! Complained but was told the bikes used and I need to pay for adjustments! Very disappointed! Will go to Decathlon next time as kids bikes are so much better especially brakes and levers! Halfords is a trusted well know brand but this time they robbed my son of his confidence on his bike and yet still did nothing about it... big thumbs down!

Do not use Halfords in Croydon Purley Way. The incompetence of the staff of checking the simplest of items, that being wiper blades, was unbelievable. They not only firstly got the wrong ones, the staff, who I paid the fitting fee for didn’t even know how to take the blades off. We then found out they had got the wrong blades and didn’t have mine in stock. There is more to this story but basically the service and attitude from a certain member of staff was disgusting. I made complaint online The next day. and then was told that they were sorry but the store now had the right ones in stock. So I spent an hour through rush hour traffic to get to the store and the manager apologised about the staffs behaviour and would be talking to him on Monday, they even told me he had health issues, what that has to do with my shopping there I don’t know. Anyway, the manager proceeds to try and change the wiper blades, which I hasten to add he struggle to get the old ones off. And then, shock, they also got the wrong blades. I obviously by this stage become quite agitated and upset. The manager disappears for what seemed forever, to come back and tell me that Halfords do not sell wiper blades for this car. Which is crazy as 4 weeks prior to this I had wipers changed at this branch for the same make and model vehicle. Incompetence is too good a word for these absolute idiotic untrained I’m qualified imbeciles. Training is certainly required and would steer clear and use eurocar parts instead.

Halfords Store Nightmare Update Halfords accept responsibility for their mechanics negligence but refuses to replace the bike or refund the full market value for mine?! I took a newly professionally painted racing cycle to Halfords in Blackpool for rebuild, their mechanic destroyed the bike in the process (by Halfords own admission “the integrity of the frame has been compromised beyond use”). Halfords refuses to replace the frame and fork which they damaged and pay for repainting, my preferred choice instead of the offer of £220, “take it or leave it”?! After almost four months battle (since September 2019) to resolve the matter but to no avail I employed the services of an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) before the Small claim court which Halfords refused to engage with. I am now being forced by Halfords to proceed with a small claim court in January 2019. I will provide a monthly update of the progress both on Google & Trustpilot.
