No arch support, cheap materials, especially sole and insole. Shipping incredibly slow. So disappointed.

Always found shoes very comfortable and perfect for walking around the shops etc. BUT I have had a few pairs that soles have disintegrated without warning - rather embarrassing to find a trail of black. The first pair it happened to I just threw in the bin as had a number of years but loved them. Another pair were sandals which I had not worn a great deal but had a few years and today another pair fine when I left home but disintegrating after walked a short distance. Hotter really should give a warning that this will happen if shoes not warn regularly. I have 2 new pairs this summer, one pair wearing regularly but the other keep for "best" which is something a lot of older women do! I will think twice before buying Hotter shoes again.

Hotter products are very good quality and fit; price is average; customer service and interaction is fair to poor. I've ordered over 50 pairs of shoes/boots during past 5 or so years due to Hotter comfort and joint replacements. HOWEVER, their customer service is fair to poor and those answering phones (orders and C'Service) are not always cordial. My biggest concern is the discrepancy between email offers/codes in the US, via email, and what Hotter employees (in England) see on their computers. Unless you save your emails, so to forward to them, you are out of luck and they don't care.

I bought 3 pair of wide width shoes, all were so narrow I couldn't even try them on. Sent back for refund, 3 months later I received an email that they had questions about my return. When I called, they only wanted to confirm that I wanted a refund and not a replacement. They stated I would receive a refund in 3-5 days.

Since Hotter offered 25 percent off and free shipping today, I decided to place an order (I went to their site through Ebates, which was giving 5 percent cash back). When I looked in the outlet, I had an unusual experience. The outlet pages showed the original price and the outlet price, but when I clicked on a pair of shoes and went to the next page (the one that focuses solely on the pair of shoes on which I clicked), I watched the outlet price change to the full price. That seems rather dishonest (okay, a lot dishonest), and I'll think twice about ordering from them again. What a shame since I like their shoes.

The quality of the shoes are nothing like they were. I have been buying "Dew" for years and they lasted over 2 years. My latest pair are falling apart after several months. Not good value.

Bought expensive walking boots which within a year leaked. Hotter claim to take 20 days to investigate when faulty goods are returned, despite asking them to hurry process along as needed them for the wet weather. Sent them back via a courier they arranged to find 4 weeks later that they had lost them. They first of all said I would have to look into the loss and was even told by one unhelpful customer adviser that it I was one of many customers and he wouldn't help. The next person I spoke to was more helpful but still was only going to offer me a credit note as the boots I originally ordered were no longer for sale and claiming that as I had had them over 90 days I was not entitled to a refund. When I pointed out the boots were not fit for purpose under the trading description act especially as water proof boots should be expected to last a lot longer than 90 days I did after speaking to a manager get my money back. It should however not have been such a difficult process to get a refund on what was a faulty pair of expensive boots. After buying shoes from hotter for a number of years I am now at the point of never wanting to buy from them again. Very disappointed!!

I am not actually reviewing the shoes themselves but rather the customer service which is incredibly bad. I ordered a pair of boots in the middle of November for a trip that I am taking in mid-Dec. After receiving the original order confirmation I never heard another word from them.. I could never get an answer on the phone and resorted to three emails which were never answered. Today I called and clicked on the new order choices and then got a response. The bottom line is that the shoes were finally shipped on the 7 Dec.--three weeks after the original order was made. They will not be here for my trip so I will have to return them after my trip. The only response I got from the young lady on the phone was that they are very busy. I suggested they hire more help and informed her that I would never order from their company again.

Took 6 weeks to receive. Tried to cancel the order but got absolutely no response from customer service. Boots have such a pungent smell that they need to out gas before I can wear them. Won't be placing another order.

I bought a pair of Charmaine shoes in navy blue. I tried to buy them last year but they had sold out so I was very excited to finally get some. They are simply the most comfortable pair of shoes I have every owned, but there is a but!! They are suede (I wanted blue and blue was only available in suede). I wear them to work about twice a week and after about 4-5 wearings, the heel was starting to wear. I have emailed the customer service team who asked me to send them back. I used their labels, took the shoes to a Hermes pick up point, and that was 13 days ago now. According to the tracking they are still in a hub waiting to be returned. I have spoken to customer service today who now tell me that they will exchange the shoes but the black leather charmaines which I have requested are no longer available in my size. There are few alternatives, none that I particularly like or that are in leather rather than suede. They are saying they will refund me but I need to send the "free" scarf that I was sent with the shoes back or else they will deduct £25 off the cost of the shoes!!! I haven't got the scarf. I gave it to a friend. So now my choices are to accept less money for shoes that I have worn may be 8 times, or to accept a pair of shoes in exchange that I don't want. At £69 per pair, they are not cheap and the customer service is shockingly bad. I will be taking this further. A real shame as I loved those shoes!

On June 23, 2017 I returned two pair of shoes to the Jamaica, NY address. One "pair" consisted of two left shoes, and the other pair didn't fit. I asked Hotter's to send a right and a left shoe for the first pair, and I ordered another pair in the place of the second.I heard nothing. I emailed a complaint some time in late summer. I heard nothing. Now I have no choice but to register a negative review and I'll not be ordering from Hotter's again.

Have had many pairs of Hotter shoes in the last 10 years some worn every day some with changing seasons and some only occasionally worn but soles split, even when leather uppers in good condition not really good enough as they are expensive shoes and prices keep rising

Service is terrible. I returned a pair of shoes for a different size. Even though they give you a label with a tracking number, the do not begin to process the exchange until they have the orginals--and then some. It is a week after they say they received the return and have not yet begun to process the replacement. They say that I should receive the replacement in about 2 weeks!!!!

I have had 2 pairs of shoes from Hotter and was very pleased with the comfort they offer. However When I ordered a 3rd pair on 10th April I did not expect to wait until today (8 June) to be told that they could not supply the shoes as they had been over subscribed, not only that but Hotter had already been paid. The shoes were ordered on line to be delivered to the local branch and when I called to check on delivery today they were able to offer me a replacement pair in a different colour which was better than no shoes at all, but as the payment was via PayPal they could not arrange a refund so I have now paid twice for the wrong shoes. I feel like I've been gently mugged. I will follow this up with customer Services.

My shoes deformed after 6 months. I took a picture, e-mailed it to them. They sent me a label to mail the shoes to them in England so they could examine them. They tracked the shoes to their place in the Northeast, but they disappeared after that through no fault of mine. They said I could have a Hotter credit. I said I wanted a refund. They said no. So that's the end of Hotter Shoes. Be careful.

I was a hotter customer for 6 years. I loved every pair of shoes. Then something happened to their sizing. I ordered shoes in the same size I had been wearing and they were at least two sizes too small. They were unavailable in a larger size. I ordered a slightly different style in a half size larger than my usual hotter size and they too, were horribly small. I ordered them in a full size larger and they were defective. Stitching was coming out. What happened to hotter? Did they sell out to the Chinese? Used to be a quality, British made product. Now they are junk. Sad. I wrote a review but it never appeared. In fact the first very small size is now on sale at 50% off and there are no reviews. Hmmm. Makes one wonder.

Until this year I would have rated the shoes has excellent. However, this year despite the measuring chart saying I was a size 3, the Hotter shoes I was wearing being size 3, and the three further pairs at home being size 3, the two pairs I tried on in the shop were much too big. The only rather feeble excuse I was given was that the "fit must have changed". That's Hotter off the list then. Shame because their shoes were comfortable and fitted well.

Not a bad product bit the service…oh dear. I haven’t been waiting as long as some of you have, only 11 days and counting, but I find it unforgivable that a manufacturer can’t supply their shops well within that time. After all, their website proclaimed that the item and the size that I required were in stock. True, they do state that you should allow 7 days for a shop delivery but eleven and still counting? Call me impatient if you will but if other businesses can deliver well within that time frame then so must Hotter. I have asked for my order to be cancelled and won’t be ordering from them again. I originally went to their local shop only to be told that they did not have my required size in stock. Fair enough, but why, when I requested if they could order that particular size for me did they refuse? The assistant informed me that I would have to order it online myself which I did. Can’t understand it myself, Hotter shop Hotter product but they can’t order it for me. Poor customer service,? Ill informed staff,? Or a couldn’t care less attitude? I only know that when I’ve been in that shop before, the assistants have been more than helpful but not, unfortunately, this time.
