Charged a huge amount to return uncomfortable shoes. Used to love Hotter shoes but not any more.

I did not receive the order. My credit card was charged, but no shoes arrived. Hotter is just a scam.

I ordered from www.us.hotter.com as my sister and mom both said the shoes are very comfortable. The Hotter Shoe Company, at least the company that sells in the United States is TERRIBLE. I will never order from this company again. I kept the shoes (I hope I am not sorry) and returned the slippers. When I placed my online order, the computer kicked me out so I was not sure they even received my order. I received no receipt or confirmation via email. My package did show up ten days later. No receipt in box, just a packing slip. I tried the slippers on and their heavy decorative thread rub the top of my foot, it was very uncomfortable. I returned the slippers by calling them and getting a return slip. They received my return on November 15th and still have not received my refund to my credit card. I can't get help when I call them and website says allow 14 days. In addition, I will have to pay return shipping for their defective product. What a horrible company. Stay away from them, there are many other companies that do have good shoes, Buy from those!!!

I received my order and was disappointed with the fit. I always wear a size 7. These shoes were so big I couldn’t keep them on my feet. Called customer service and that was an absolute waste of time. I can’t seem to figure out how to return them and will have to pay postage if I do figure it out. I’m pretty disappointed and disgusted with this company and I won’t be making another order. There is no customer service with this company.

DONT BUY FROM THIS SHOP EVER! You have been warned! Worst customer service with a very rude manager! I bought a pair of sandals (£50-£60) for my mom, as a gift, from their shop in Cambridge a couple of months ago. Mind you, I was a tourist from Canada. The sandals fit her well so we naturally discarded the receipt. Fast forward to just 1.5 months later, the sandal’s leather layer started ripping off! So of course my mom took their worthless product back. But the manager refused to take them back, demanding that she see the receipt or she might think that these are STOLEN from some place else! Imagine!! The audacity of her! If this had happened in Canada, we would have gotten a full refund and the sales rep wouldn’t even have asked for a receipt. They treat their customers with a lot of respect. SO, DONT EVER GO TO THIS SHOP! HOTTER IS OVER RATED! THESE PEOPLE CANT EVEN RESPECT THEIR CUSTOMERS! THIS MANAGER SHOULD BE FIRED FOR HER CONDESCENDING BEHAVIOUR!

I completed the on line purchase with a different delivery address as I’d be away when they were due to be delivered. Where I was staying had very poor internet and phone signal. I did not get the delivery email until several days later. The shoes were delivered to my home, not the alternative address. To make things worse Evri just put them on the doorstep. I have no idea if they are still there, although a friend is going to check. I phoned customer service who said I put my home address as delivery address. I have no way of proving I didn’t. No more Hotter for me! Advice screenshot your order page before sending it to Hotter.

I have worn and loved Hotter shoes for many years, but today when I ordered I had to cancel. Why? They no longer use Royal Mail for delivery. The courier, I was told, "may leave the box on the doorstep", no good to me as I'm often out, have no safe place and live in a busy area.

Their customer service is just awful. They took 15% of the purchase price from my refund and then sent me a rude email when I asked for the rest of my money. I will never buy from them again.

I purchased a pair of sandals (MAYXXE) and a m really disappointed. They are so wide and long. I have been buying Hotter shoes for many years and have never had problem with fit and quality. I wonder what is happening, and they are made in Vietnam, not England. Can I be sure if order anymore that they will be the right size? Please be king enough to let me know.

The fit is bad I used to have nova which were so comfy having post polio I find it difficult to get to a shop so find it frustrating to have to pay for returns when the product doesn’t fit I now have to find a shoe that is suitable for my needs

I have bought multiple pairs of Hotter shoes in the past. I am unable to create a shipping label from their website. Customer service was not at all helpful. I would not advise placing orders from the U.S. The shoes I ordered do not fit so I am out $109. plus shipping. I will no j longer purchase from them.

I used to love Hotter's products. NOT any more. Hotter was taken over and quality (but not price) nose dived. I have a pair of never worn, moulded sole Gortex boots stored in box with labels still on, bought a while ago. I used them first time this week. They lasted precisely 8 minutes - sole crumbled, disintegated and fell off in that time. Cannot be repaired/ replaced so pricey unused boots have to go in bin. Avoid Hotter products.

I have had two pairs of hotter shoes having soles which disintegrated. Not the best when you are out and you cannot walk across gravel without them falling apart. Badly made. I will never buy this product again

I bought a pair of Jasmine boots. The right one has a fault - the leather piece inside covering the zip is faulty. Instead of being in one continuous strip (like the other side) it is in two parts - the bottom piece folds back & exposes the base of the metal zip. This zip then rubs against the foot making the boots painful to wear. I phoned Hotter but they could not help me because I didn’t buy direct from them. But these boots were made by them in their factory so don’t they bear some responsibility? No. I advise a close inspection of the insert leather covering side zips. I have no record of where I bought them as it was in the autumn & I’ve only just started to wear them. I love Hotter shoes but I now distrust the workmanship and will be very cautious of buying any more hotter shoes.

Following a very abrupt and unsatisfactory telephone call today with a member of yr team I am disgusted to hear you are returning the shoes as apparently there is evidence they have been worn! They have not been worn out of the house as my Granny is 96 years old and unable to leave her carpeted home! She did try them on and found them to be too heavy and more likely to make her fall , which is something she absolutely has to avoid at her age! Yr member of staff refused to send images of the supposed evidence! I said I had checked the shoes before posting them back and there were NO signs of wear . I feel that this is appalling customer service and will be escalating this for further action! If you tried a pair of shoes on in a shop there is potentially signs of wear but these would still be sold on ! It would appear that looking at similar reviews this is a common problem and will be looking for complete resolution! Will continue to obtain full refund and cost of postage

Ordered online, boots very painful trying them on so returned. Thing is, Hotter break the law by not refunding original postage costs. Quite aggressive & sarcastic reply to my email about it, told me that I had to write to them to cancel the order within 14 days to get my postage refund. This simply is not true, all distance selling should have a refund of original postage regardless of notice. With the cost of postage to me, then the cost of posting them back, it costs the consumer around £7 just to try on a pair of shoes. Where is the incentive? None from me and will never order from them again - very short sighted as well as illegal by Hotter.

DREADFUL DREADFUL company AVOID at all costs I would have left NO STARS rip off Company I ordered a pair of boots paid postage arrived too narrow sent back had an email saying was processing refund after 10 days phoned to find out where my refund was! Was told oh we have put it through it is up to the Finance Department to arrange this now! So probably wont be getting back for at least another 5-7 days. Got refund eventually only to find it was £2.95 short phoned was told oh you have to pay to return the item too. So not only do you pay for delivery but if you don't like it or it doesn't fit you have to pay to send it back so nearly £7 in postage RIP OFF COMPANY WITH DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AVOID AVOID

In today’s world of online shopping Hotters refund process is totally unacceptable. I’ve waited the 14 days for £180 and still nothing. If other companies can issue refunds in a timely manner then why can’t hotter. Really will make me think before ordering again. Very very disaffected

Ordered 3 pairs of shoes at a cost of $70. They never arrived. A week later a package arrived with 2 fake rings in it. The rings were stated on the package of having a value of $3. When I contacted customer services to enquire about the shoes they said the order had been delivered and gave me a shipping number. This was the same number that was on the package containing the rings. I have asked repeatedly for a full refund. They have replied saying they are sorry I am not happy, it will cost me $50 to return the rings. They cannot issue a full refund because the package was delivered. They have offered to refund 15% of the amount paid. There is no sign of the original order of the shoes being sent. This is obviously a SCAM. Somehow the web site has been taken over and the scam is to send a worthless shipment to the mailing address and pocket the money. All I can say is BEWARE ordering shoes off this website.
