Like everybody else, I made the mistake of ordering two thousand dollars worth of goods during their no delivery fee sale. They already missed a delivery date and re-programmed a second one for December 1st. Been trying to call them for the past few days with no concrete answers from them. This is the worst customer service experience ever. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM IKEA, IT'S A RIP-OFF.

I ordered a duvet cover online and paid $14 for shipping. After waiting 2 weeks for it and numerous unanswered calls to customer service, I decided to just have the order canceled. I waited for 45 minutes on hold and finally got through to a customer service person. When she answered she said nothing...I had to say Hello, hello, hello for her to finally speak up. She canceled the order and said it would take 7 days to two weeks for the refund to go through. This is horrible customer service. I will never order from them again.

I ordered a shelf and brackets online. I figured it's just a shelf what could go wrong. I was told my original delivery date was to be 11/13/17. I realized on 11/14 that the item was never delivered. I went on their site to track the package. Well there is no option to do this. You have to send an email that states you'll get a response in 24-48 hours. I never received a response. I found out later that they are "backlogged" and it's taking 5 business days to respond to email inquires. After 30 minutes on hold I spoke with a customer service representative. Apparently the delivery date on the order is not the actual date and only an estimate. After placing me on hold for another 10 minutes to check the status of my order the customer service rep came back to tell me that the order hasn't left the warehouse so they are unable to track it. When I asked about the delay she stated that they had recently has a no shipping fee sale and they are extremely backlogged. I asked when my order would be fulfilled and she could not say. We are only talking about a 11"x43" shelf with brackets. This is not a huge nor complicated order. I asked would it be 30 days or what. She said she didn't know for sure and it could not be expedited. I then asked to cancel the order and was told that until it is delivered to FedEx they are not able to cancel it. She said that once it is picked up by FedEx they can cancel it and when FedEx returns the item to them and it is restocked they can refund me. Seriously, the item is sitting in their warehouse and they can't cancel the order? So needless to say I am at their mercy waiting for an item that I have no idea when it will arrive. Worst experience EVER! Had I order this from Amazon I'd have it already. So save yourself the trouble and NEVER order from these people. At this point I will never shop with them again. WORST SERVICE EVER!!

I ordered a king size bed online. Only half of it was delivered. Three hours two phone calls later, they told me that they would send the rest of the bed with another 12 hour waiting window in a few more weeks. Everyone would be better off if Ikea would stop pretending to be Amazon.

The worse service I have ever experienced. Ordered £389 of office chair and armchair on the 31st Oct. Delivery scheduled for 14th Nov. even received a text with time of delivery 7-11a.m. Delivery did not arrive so early afternoon called Ikea who informed me that it would definitely arrive. Called again at 5 and spoke to a man who said he would check with the hub. He put me on hold for 20 minutes and never came back to me. Meanwhile he credited the whole amount and sent me an email to that effect (except it wasn't actually credited to my card, only a credit note). Called again to see what on earth was going on to be told that the delivery had been re-scheduled for Saturday 18th Nov. and that the delivery charge would be refunded. That sounded like a good resolution. However, he just wanted to get me off the phone because the order has indeed been cancelled for no apparent reason and I am £389 down. Absolutely disgusting, I have been treated like dirt. So I am going to have to go through the inconvenience of commencing a chargeback with my credit card company! Why do Ikea bother having a customer service dept. if they lie and fundamentally don't care.

Couple of hiccups with the Norwich store service and communication and delivery was delayed; but I have just chatted with Nikita via the website and am extremely happy with the outcome. Really pleased with Ikea customer service via the chat line; if the service that I received at the Norwich store was not just an exception, the Norwich staff need more training, more prodding or something - maybe to at least show some interest in customers?

We bought a mattress from them and after a couple of weeks decided that it wasn't firm enough. We called them within the 90 days time frame, explained the situation and within four days they had collected the old one, and replaced with a firmer one. They were brilliant. That is customer service. No complaints whatsoever

Ikea delivers product with missing pieces. They should take care in reviewing what is being assembled before delivery. Ikea after sales services is also not helpful. They make promises for delivery and assembly appointments and cancel them without telling the customer. I will never use the delivery or assembly services again.

We visited the Sunrise store twice to buy a bed . Horrible customer service and horrible delivery experience. When we received the bed the headboard and some other parts were broken. Calling customer services is even worse. You will be on hold for 45 minuets and no help. We wanted to buy a matching night stand, we were asked to check the website Which we did and drove an hour and a half each way after making sure they had 40 pieces Available but when we got there, there were none. We were asked to call before going At the same time you can’t call the store. I would rather pay more but not to go there again.

Rubbish deliver service. Its a long story. I ordered a kitchen from Ikea lakeside. The lady in store was really nice. I was happy for about 5 seconds before the $h1t hit the fan. I told the lady in store I need delivery to 2nd floor and there is no lift. She said fine no problem. On the delivery day I had my builders there ripping out the old kitchen and the delivery man rang the buzzer but when he relised there is no lift he refused to deliver. Aparrently they aren't insured to carry stuff up the stairs. So I called the store to complain, next day delivery van comes and same thing, sorry love I'm not insured to cary up the stairs. What a joke. I call again to complain and again the delivery is sent out but this time the deliver only half. I have to call to complain and the same van is back with the rest of the kitchen. Finally i can breath easy....not! I get a call saying one part was left behind but they cant deliver until the next week. Finally they deliver and i have a complete kitchen but now the hinges have no screws or plugs. I call and complain. The agree to swap them on Monday. Monday comes and goes and no delivery. I call to complain and they say we are not delivering. The hinges dont come with screws. They didnt call me to explain or leave a voicemail, just left me waiting. Btw the screwless hinges meant to make it easy to remove a door for cleaning but not much use if the door falls off each time you open the cupboard. I explained this over the phone and in store. We swapped those stupid hinges twice and on the 3rd visit I had enough and just changed to the 110°hinges with screws which actually stay on because they have screws and plugs. The whole process has been stressful, upsetting and expensive. I wish I never went to that store. I really regret my choice and I will never go there again for a kitchen of bathroom. This is the short version of the story. Ikea have yet to apologise or offer any kind of compensation. Please please please avioid like the plague.

Ist visit to the Sheffield store today it was not a good experience. What should have been a simple matter turned out to be a nightmare, got to checkout with the item, girl told us she couldn't process the item as it was unlisted, told her there were hundreds on sale, supervisor arrived and cant sort it out. Team leader arrives after half an hour and says theres been a glitch and he was hoping to sort it shortly. At this point in frustration I leave it there and walk out. Very poor organization indeed !!

I ordered some stalls from IKEA and was impressed by the fast delivery, however, I got a text last night to say my stalls had arrived and when I went to pick them up from my local Ikea, they told me that I needed to wait for a text specifically from them which was slightly confusing! so still awaiting my stalls! Confused how parcel force could have delivered them but my local IKEA hasn't received them!
