What nightmare. We ordered a bed and frame($1300) and received everything except the slats to put the bed on therefore rendering the frame useless. After an hour on the phone they suggested we drive the 4 hours to the closest IKEA to pick them up which we refused to do. The best they could do was send them out 6 days later. Really 6 days? We ended up buying temporary wood at a local hardware store($$$). The delivery day came and went, still no slats. They arrived 10 days later. When we called customer service the compensation they offered was to waive the delivery fee. Seriously? I emailed them again explaining that is not reasonable compensation since we had already hired a handyman to put the bed together then had to put out $$ for the temporary slats. They came back with a $35 gift card which I still felt was ridiculous. Hours(and I mean hours) waiting on the phone for customer service they changed it to $50 and advised me that is the final offer. Never again, their service is awful and they really don't care a bit. If I was smarter I should have refused payment on my CC for merchandise not received. They even had nerve to emphasize they were very generous to waive to delivery fee. Gee, you waive the delivery fee for something you didn't deliver? Horrible to deal with if you have a problem.

I never had a worse customer service ever in my life. This is the absolute nightmare. I will never go back. I will tell all my friends and family about the nightmare customer service I received today at ikea.

Worst delivery company. Supposed get the merchandise 12/5. It was canceled the day before, reschedule for 12/7 1pm to 5pm, did get there until 7pm and is a commercial building and no delivery allowed after 5. After two 45 minutes phone calls, I still have not able to reschedule the delivery. Bad customer service, bad delivery company customer service.

We bought a couch and bed frame online. When delivered they didnt deliver the center support beam for our bed. We called the next day and they said it would be 7 to 10 days before they even shipped it. Went to the store and they said since there was a case for it already they wouldnt give it to us so we had to purchase it. After being completely unhappy with our prodcts and service. We requested a pick up. We had to wsit 2 weeks for pick up and the drivers did not show. We had to reschedule for the next week with no reasoning as to why they didnt come. Again a week later they didnt show up again with no reasoning. The furniture has had to be stacked in a corner to make space for new furniture and it a hazard for collapsing. We have had to try to block it off from our young child. Ikea has done nothing but give us excuses with ne explaination or customer service. The worse buying experience and waste of time and money I have had. Do not order from this company

IKEA has the worst customer service I have ever come across. They didn’t ship me a part that was needed to complete the bed I ordered. I sent an e-mail and called customer support 2 times. The 1st call lasted 20 mins. on hold with no one answering. I hung up in frustration. The 2nd call a day later resulted in 30 mins. on hold with no one answering either. That’s 50 minuets of my life I can’t get back. I don’t care what time of year it is, if they can’t have anyone answer a call within 20-30 minuets..they’re business practice is ridiculously horrible. Hire more people to answer calls..plain and simple. They are an international corporation and one would think, customers would come first. Obviously not. I will never purchase anything from them ever again.

The worst online customer service ever! I've placed an order and one part was missing, they open a case and none called me back. Impossible to send email and try to call the number 8888884532. I stayed on the line more than an hot no one answer ... I payed for my stuff and this is really unfair and unacceptable. Everybody could do mistakes but please answer to customers that payed to get services!!!!

The worst online service in the United States. Seriously, they should be shut down and not allowed to sell online. Once you order, there is no evidence on your account that you ordered anything except you can see the charge on your credit card bill. There is absolultey no way to track the delivery except to call in and then you are given false and misleading information about where your items are and when they will be delivered. It is at least an hour and 20 minute hold time to get to their "customer service" who know nothing after this extremely long hold with incrediblyl annoying hold time announcements about how much Ikea cares. U.S. government should shut them down for fraudulent claims online. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE.

I am not one to write bad reviews for companies, but I honestly do not know how IKEA stays in business. Ordered a sofa online a month ago and have had to call IKEA multiple times to get updates on delivery after hearing nothing for a month. Have had to wait on hold multiple times for over an hour only to be told that my delivery keeps being delayed. Finally talked to someone at the delivery company IKEA uses and found out that even though I placed my order on 11/2, IKEA didn't send my order to them until 11/28, which was AFTER my estimated delivery date. Ended up just canceling my order because my new delivery date was not even a guarantee, but now have to wait 7-14 days to receive a refund for my order. Most frustrated about the lack of transparency on IKEA's part of how long my order would actually take to get delivered and the inability of their customer service department to be much help at all getting answers. Glad I was able to cancel my order and will not be purchasing from them again.

Store does not deserve 1 star gave, item 50307616 have been trying to order for last three months customer service a joke cant get my head around why they email and put on site item in stock, when obviously never been in, ikea need to train there management who are letting under dogs so to speak take all slack appauling service and arrogant with it and yes you have my contact details but have chose to think ill go away as you no iv made numerous calls

WHAT A DISASTER. We ordered two small tables and a closet system, and their assembly. We had to make FIVE TRIPS to the Renton store - about 45 minutes away - to rectify all of the dumb mistakes with the order. The assemblers showed up twice. The first time they said they wouldn't install because the order only had delivery, not assembly - even though we had A PAID RECEIPT for assembly. The second time they showed up, they said they were only paid to assemble the 2 tables, not the closet. You could tell the 3rd-party assembly people felt mortified at how dumb it felt to even say it - they knew it was ANOTHER mistake. There is a REASON that on consumer reports, google reviews, and several other consumer review sites, IKEA averages only 1-2 starts. YOU ARE A JOKE!

Purchased a bed, matress and all the slats and because it was a super King size, some sheets. When we had our delivery, we noticed that the sheets had damage to them. Telephoned IKEA customer service and they were replaced without question. Great customer service.

I needed to return one item. I had not opened the box and had the bill. I choose A express return. It took 65 minutes! There was no "express". They had 2 checkouts for B and one for C. The people returning in A had open boxes, missing pieces and no receipts. I cups have been it in. 20 minutes if I had chosen B. Terrible return procedures at Etobicoke IKEA

I will no longer use any of IKEA services. My experience was horrible with them. I bought items online and place my order early October. In November when i didn't hear from them I called. After 30-40 min wait on hold, I was told that the payment did not go through and I had to place the order again...(no apology and no email notification was sent on this) Since i knew what I ordered I spent another hour to re-order. I called just in case to make sure my order was placed. The order was placed on 11 November with the delivery date set for 24 November. I called on 25 November to see why the delivery hasn't been made. To which I was informed that I will most probably receive the purchased items in December and they could not guarantee. In the world so advanced in terms of services and delivery options, we have IKEA that seems to think they have monopoly on the products and don't even try to live up to the modern world standards.

Bought a 4x4 white storage carcass and 8 canvass storage boxes for the bottom 2 rows. Very happy with the build quality and finish. Price was very reasonable too. The storage it offers is brilliant for kids toys, which can be tidied away at the end of each day. Well done Ikea.

Bought some wardrobes yesterday and phoned to bring delivery date forward as this was offered when purchased but ikea system will only move delivery backwards!!! What a stupid system!!!

They uses some deliver company to deliver their products. They never deliver on time. The don't even let you know they don't deliver on time, I am talking about time 12 hour window. Don not, not not order online from IKEA. by the way IKEA customer service never answer their phone.

I'm just amending my review i had given before. If it is possible I would give them a minus 5. Ikea uk deeply sucks. It's been nearly a month I had cancelled an order but they didn't give my money back. Again I had purchased a sofa from ikea and booked an service man and paid the cost in their store. When after 2 weeks that man didn't show up, I called Ikea and they said the man is from a third party company and ikea is not responsible if they don't come. They said they can't do anything and gave me a number to contact third party. It took a week to reach them and that company said their service persons are extremely busy and can get back to me after a month and if I don't agree they can't give my money back cause Ikea took the money. So please please please, think thousand times before buying something costly from IKEA.UK

I bought 2 big PAX sliding door 10 days ago. Finally, yesterday the guys it's coming for installation ($ 350.00 for installation), and 2 doors are missing. I try to call this inexistent customer service for more then 2 hours but nobody answered... I will try to go in person, I will lose another 3 hours or more of my time.... I bought different time in Ikea in Italy and never had a problem... In Doral (FL) the worst never seen before.... I wont buy nothing more neither if they offer 90% discount!

I was at the Burlington store and ordered a few cabinets. One of the cabinets had a medium sized drawer. I took the printout with me, because at that location, you pay for the stuff and then go pick it up around the corner. Before I went to the cashier, I checked out the 'As Is' section. There was a drawer there for $10. I looked at the price of the drawer on the printout, and full price was was $57. So I figured maybe I could save myself 37 dollars, if it is the same drawer that is on my printout. And of course, I didn't know, so I asked an employee! The employee took my printout and the drawer into their private room and came back a minute later and said that it was the correct drawer. So, of course, I bought it. Well, turns out it WAS NOT the right drawer. I think the one from As Is was actually for a small drawer, not a medium drawer. Will Ikea refund me? NOPE, even though the only reason I bought it was because THEIR EMPLOYEE TOLD me it was the right one. I said they should refund my money and tell their employees in that section not to give advice. This is a bunch of BS. They told me if I really wanted to argue the case, I would have to drive to Burlington rather than take it back to my local pick up point. I don't have time to drive 1.5 hours for this B.S. Ridiculous that they would suggest I drive there too.
